There is a rl black advocate that I follow. She explained it as the difference from culture appreciation and appropriation as the meaning behind what you’re doing.
When people “dress up” in black face, brown face or in a funny or offensive way mimicking or lacking a culture, or when pretending to be from that culture, doing things culturally inappropriate or incorrect without care that is appropriation.
When people study a culture, speak a language, visit a country, buy and support businesses of that culture, embrace the teachings and follow the appropriate ways to do/say/wear:eat things, that is when it is culture appreciation.

The real reason NH is trash would be the fact that those idiots couldn’t RP their way out of a paper bag with verbal instructions in their ear the entire time. Have you ever watched the group chat? Half the time they aren’t actually anywhere near the place. Most of the time they haven’t a clue which tense to type in so they mix past, present and future all in the same sentence (hint for those of you reading “he/she would…”, is not how you type out something you are currently rp-ing). If you leave it open for a few hours I guarantee you’ll see at least three “women” post about their pregnancy, their fight with their husband/baby daddy, and their depression. You’ll probably also see at least two or three “kids” pretend to be homeless to see who is willing to give them lindens/a home/stuff. You’ll see a few of them talk about their mental health, repeatedly. The one thing you will never see is any of them talking to anyone actually new. If you go to any of their events, they won’t talk to you. Most of the time the events are actually dead quiet, save for the occasional local generic line.
If you wander around the place I can almost guarantee anyone you find, won’t talk to you. It doesn’t matter if you talk in local or IM, IC or OOC, they won’t answer you. It’s one of the weirdest places I’ve ever walked around. Also, whoever suggested the other week they always have 40-70 people at any given time, is an idiot, lol. You can usually count how many people are there, between the different regions, on less than two hands.
Most of time it’s someone roleplaying that they are sitting at their desk, taking a drink and sighing. It’s been like that in all roleplay towns in sl since they existed. Little dots sitting in their houses alone randomly trying to fish for attention. The whole thing is narcissism. Sometimes there’s a fire or a crime, again for attention, again but always it’s meh. Always it’s also some minority clique that manages to do any of that bit of roleplay.
What kids are going round asking for Linden i mean it’s considered begging and you can get banned for it, from what i’ve seen besides the toxic Waverly sprog there aren’t many kids, never seen any mention of mental health either, have you even been to New Haven?
Yes I have been to NH, I’m there quite often actually. I enjoy watching the shit show sometimes, it’s entertaining. Have you ever actually had the group chat open for more than a short while? I like leaving it open while I’m working and some of the shit those “kids” come up with in their “RP” is ridiculous. Pretending to be homeless, asking people to buy them food, hinting at needing things. They definitely do not get banned for it. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve seen some dumbass “RP” back in the chat after some “kid” acts like they’re homeless or needing money for something they “really want”. There are likely more kids in the chat than you’ll ever actually see on any of the regions. That’s where most of them do their cringey “RP”.
A lot of the “adults” aren’t much better, at least most of the ones in the actual group chat haven’t the slightest clue how to actually roleplay. It’s not much different than most other RP places in that right though. It is a nice place to wander around, at least if you don’t intend to interact with anyone because they won’t anyway. I just don’t understand how so many places can fuck up roleplaying of all things, it’s not that hard.
If said kids are “begging” for things then why not message them or call a moderator, from what i have seen and yes i have the chat open often and i do visit when time allows, but i have never seen kids “begging” for stuff, let alone seem them acting homeless, maybe alert a moderator or manager or message the kid if you feel what they’re doing is wrong.

Bliss is controlling and if you are someone in her list and online and not at Woodcrest then let tell you she will message and harass you about not being there. She is very insecure about people leaving and sends her close friends and staff to spy on and harass former members and other places that she thinks pose a threat to her existence. Thats what i been gathering at least as far as the verbal attacks on other places go. She also doesnt deal with complaints against people in her circle and ignores the main issue of the place being all about sex. I cant begin to count how many times I walked into a place and saw people fucking or girls giving bjs to frat boys. This includes known gender therapies in adults. Can not do so in a home with children. I recently needed to advertise 2 events. I messaged both Seraphim and EI via their online forms. Seraphim got back to me the next day, kept in contact, were very helpful and the advertising made a big difference in attendance at the events. Weeks later….still waiting to hear back from EI…..

From what I understand you can sign up for Happy Weekend right up till the last minute the sale goes live. How do you expect those bloggers to know which item is in the HW sale when all of the stores on this list keep their items out with HW logos for weeks on end. HW Sale is a nightmare of an event to shop or even look at the list for. I feel bad for every single one of the designers that feels like they need to be in this sale to be seen by the public. Talk to me when EI hosts for years on end with content from thousands of events. The coverage EI has for events is minimal (because they are only covering their own stuff + some randomly paid for content) – so yes the high resolution photo doesn’t cost that much – but add it all up over time $$$ waste of money and resources.

Brought minors to the clubs she was working at, I think this was a year or so ago. She supposedly had a partner that was underage, who wasn’t even on SL, and then wondered why the community blacklisted her. From what I can tell, if she is saying something against something on Twitter, it’s something she’s done in the past.
I just stay far, FAR away from her and anyone willing to be friends with her. I’ve seen her turn on people she called her ‘closest friends’ and then rant on twitter about how they used her for clout and fame while they stayed silent.
