I was friends with Cain for a few months earlier this year and the only drama I ever seen was when he was being accused of sexual harassment. I never actively saw harrasment so I can’t actually say it was true or not. From what I do know about him he’s pretty friendly regardless of the TP spams that ultimately killed our friendship.
From what I recall the club owners normally would seek out his advice for running a club in sl. It’s not him being toxic it’s literally club owners who are bleeding money with zero patrons who are actively asking for help. They can always rescind the invitation if they don’t like the advice of course but let’s be really honest here about most of sl clubs:
SL clubs are a money pit and should only really treated as a hobby.

No. They love him and what he brings until he starts listing things that need addressing, like new DJs spamming mosh in chat 25 times in a row and laughing while patrons complain, staff missing sets as a standard instead of an exception, and staff harassing fellow staff. Mind you, I said ‘listing’ these things to them. I did not say taking action, as some claim.
The thing is…
It’s easy to paint people as a villain.
It’s harder to see people as human and simply being in disagreement.

Cain is as toxic as they come. Yes he freely offer his help to clubs but there’s always a cost and it’s high. He tries to take over, wants to control who is hired and if he doesn’t like someone he drives them out. when management wakes up to what he’s doing they try to put a stop to his demands and mistreatment of staff and patrons but then true Cain shows up.
Last month he was at a different club, staff walked out and sent a notice to VIPs about him and management letting him get away with his abuse. Didn’t last and he’s now banned from there as well. Hahahaha

#20 I personally have only had good experiences with Doux. I recall a time when I’d bought enough hair to warrant a free hair with their store credit they give with each purchase. I did as the instructions told me but ended up having to buy the hair and it still took away from my store credit balance. I simply send the owners a notecard explainijg what happened with screenshot proof and they fixed my store credit balance and next time I tried to use it I had no problems. They responded to me in less than 24 hours where some stores NEVER reply. So for that alone they gained a customer for as long as they decide to make hair and I chose not to be bald lol.

Hi, former Furry Snout designer here. I was specifically invited to the event for the first and second round. They kept changing the rules and deadlines, which really fucked over my workflow and by the end of it I rushed to put out something sub-par because I was not informed that it was opening early for “VIPs.” One of the staff, Paradox, also started becoming extremely passive aggressive, telling me to move channel in the Discord/stop posting about something that wasn’t in any way offensive.
For the second round, they practically had to beg me to apply again and once again, sent an invite. The second round was supposed to be about collaborating with friends, and someone I knew also applied. We vaguely talked about working together. Come acceptance day, though, and I don’t get invited. I look into it and it turns out instead of having some logical system for who got invited – application date, collaboration pairs, etc – they just used a random number generator. Then gave me some halfassed nonsense about boo hoo, we had too many applicants, this was the only fair way. Told ’em I thought it was an idiotic decision and said I wouldn’t be participating again.
They’re perfectly fine, however, hosting creators with a public record of being genuinely shitty people, such as harassing others or even stealing content – because of course they are “sponsors” meaning they paid more to be included and/or their heads are shoved far up the backsides of the event runners. It’s just yet another event that elevates already “popular” creators who really, REALLY don’t need the extra sales, but pushes away smaller creators who are just starting out and do need the boost.
It’s such a shitshow I don’t even want to go there as a customer; I know the event owners don’t make money from designer sales, but I’d still rather not give them traffic. Not that I forsee the event surviving for much longer, though, as I’m hardly the only one who’s had a terrible experience with it.

The shit with umbra has already been proven to just be Soko witch-hunting them. You can see it on their Twitter and on their FA’s. Ghosted harassed someone years ago over those stripes so I wouldn’t start that, but y13 I don’t know about. Either way seems to be a lot of the issue in the furry community is that people are claiming copyrights on things they’re not allowed to. Soko for almost literally everything, ghosted for stripes, a few other people claiming rights to mods that they don’t have ownership rights to. Apparently, creative freedom isn’t a thing anymore, and if you so much as use the color blue on a character, you’re copying someone. Why can’t we go back to where we all had fun showing off our creative skills, instead of hating each other because we used the same tail as someone else? #20 – David has been nothing but fair. He participates in plenty of events and his prices are the best out there. You are getting an entire color pack for the same price as most creators charge for a single color. I’ve contacted his CSR a couple of times and replies have been prompt and courteous, and David himself got back to me and was amazing. They are genuinely nice people. And their store credit is fantastic – it adds up extremely fast. As far as the sim they are on, it’s a full sim, they just limit how many customers can be in the store at one time. They increase (and decrease) it as needs arise.
Doux has, and will continue to have, my loyalty. Their sales say I am not alone in this sentiment.

Sorry, I’m not a furry but: What if they don’t make things for furries? What does this even mean? Just because it’s not clearly targeted to a group of people doesn’t mean they can’t use it. Or that their Ls are worth any less.
Heck, I’m not a furry and I prefer no-mod, so I can, for example, use my own textures. Or tint my hair any color I want beyond the selection of colors that the creator offers. Or even, make parts that I don’t like of the hair invisible, so I can mesh together two styles and make something truly unique.
Or on a more simple and practical note, with no-mod I can remove the scripts on a copy of the hair, because the less scripts I carry = the better for SL’s health.
Modifiable stuff makes my experience on SL way more enjoyable. And I’m sure many other people think like that.
Of course, it’s completely down to the creator’s preference on mod vs no-mod. And I won’t decide I won’t buy a creator’s item just because it’s not modifiable. BUT I have tons of respect for creators that allow modding and even greater respect for creators that incentivize it.

It’s a shame, Skye informed me today that she is no longer handling infringements at Epiphany, Cerberus is apparently in charge of that now because he is an expert and very experienced! The guy had a conversation with me about it today, and he said he will handle it however he sees fit.
Meanwhile 3 weeks later and Rebeca has been getting sales from stolen meshes all this time at the event, while Epiphany staff pass the buck around.
It’s nice to not be meshing your own work and instead spending the time “networking” yourself around SL to get a pass with stealing meshes.

But I don’t think it has any weight, because she also accused about 20 other store owners of also being him (which is near physically impossible given the vast style differences and content, as well as the language barriers of some of these store owners) and also was caught giving out a private mesh commission for free on her marketplace because she got annoyed with the customer.
So, unless someone has direct evidence, I’m going to assume it’s just the same rumor circulating with nothing behind it.
