I’m shocked that you’re just realizing that Lucy is an idiot. You must not know her history. I’ll give you a long story short version and other roleplay sim recommendations.. long read ahead. People started leaving CC after Lucy Drake tormented court staff and two women out of the school. Lucy was jealous at how loved they were and tormented and fired them. Students were peeved and left. Lucy thought at her big age being an online bully made her cool. More people left when David Admiral was removed from the town he created himself. Even after CC had a brief recovery.. Rei let Lucy do whatever she wanted. Lucy was called out for poaching by a sim owner who Lucy tried to torment but he fought back. Not long after, Lucy and Ramesh Singh had bloody child avatars in bondage and in cages in a roleplay. People were shocked and some left… myself included. Now with Ramesh banned for ageplay, Lucy desperately wants to be liked so she finds people equally as desperate to befriend. I can’t comment on Amari because I don’t know her or him. Leaving CC was the Best SL decision I made. OP if Lucy did the roleplay, Rei won’t care about the Canadian citizens. She won’t care about getting your consent first. They only care about being a great value Crack Den in a desperate attempt to revive that shithole. People have complained about the ongoing crime and trauma roleplay for a while. You should look into other communities. None are perfect but you might find what you’re looking for. This is just a list. Southford Falls Roleplay, New Haven Maine RP, Timber Falls Mineral County RP, The Oaks/Briarwood Estates, Wandering New York [which is MyStory compatible], Bayside City. MyStory RP has its own community too. These next places have shaky potential but need a lot of help but you may find what you’re looking for Cheesecake Valley, Lannock County, Khana Falls, Grimlocke. If you’re into student life and having parties and sex then Woodcrest University because that’s pretty much what they’re known for. I like supernatural roleplay and there are communities for adults with natural and supernatural roleplay. You can try Virtue RP. OP you don’t have to complain or write letters just find somewhere that suits you.

  8. 11 ) I was having problems with the waifu boobs just the other day. Turned out that the boobs wasn’t alphaing out because I had an older version of the reborn body on. So worth noting that you have to make sure you update to the latest reborn body version and then after updating. I had to put the new update version of the body on and then detach and reattach to get them to do the auto hide properly.

    To calculate the weekly payout into a monthly USD amount we need to do some 7th grade math:
    Weekly payout (lets call this integer P), Number of weeks in a year (Lets call this integer W) and number of months in a year (Integer M). Reminder, there are 4.3 weeks on average in a month.
    So… (P * W) / M = Actual monthly stipend amount 
    (L$650 * 52) / 12 = L$2817 per month

  14. I don’t get the body discourse? I’ve used Maitreya, eBody Reborn, Legacy F, Jake, Legacy M, and Erika. I personally… like them all for different reasons and depending on what I’m going for… There are more important things in life than stressing over what body someone else uses, if you don’t like it then don’t use it. Who gives a shit what body people are using on a virtual world? I get it if they’re looking like a child or something, that’s nasty imo. Otherwise who gives a flying fuck what body people wanna support or use, it’s their damn choice. Haha. XD

  15. actually you can’t get the same shape as the mesh is different. There is a perma thigh gap on legacy, weird waistline indented, there should not be a gap space in arm pits, the nipples face sideways. Complexity through the roof. Updates promised since beginning still not fixed. HUD is monsterous. Needs media web connection to even function properly.

    Also please name one aspect on Maitreya that is outdated? One? It has every feature others do. If there is nothing broken or new abilities to SL what is there to update?

But guess what I found out… it was their way of dealing with the trauma of having lost close family that day. The group was set up as a way to lean on each other and control outcomes on a day where literally no one but some radical Muslims had any control.

    If you don’t like the way people express themselves in world, don’t participate. It’s really quite simple.

    Only the Taliban likes to come and dictate how people express themselves and make calls against the infidels. Don’t be the Taliban.

  17. 19 – Do you know what I’d love to see the gatekeepers do? An entire hour of singing a capella. They should do it for six months of their usual concert schedules. Then they can start explaining to the ones who aren’t capable of accompanying themselves on an external instrument about how they shouldn’t use backing tracks. Because that’s the goddamn alternative. I also want to point out that the people who accompany themselves are very often folk singers. Folk singers do write their own, but the back catalog they perform is so vast, not a one of them has a right to complain about cover artists. None of them wrote “Hallelujah,” but most of them sing it (badly). And every one of the whiners sings covers of other recent songs. Guaranteed. I’ve never heard a 100% original song concert in SL in 16 years unless it was one of those rare moments the original band performed through avatars.

    As a side note, odds are the best people who use backing tracks could handle singing a capella longer than the best folk singers on the grid. The ones who use them are often trained in musical styles that encourage healthy techniques over “if you wave at the note in passing, you’re fine.” To be fair, I’ve heard track users who need a friend to tell them “pitchy” is not a compliment. I’ve also left live performances because the singer couldn’t hold a note in a bucket. One of them was too busy showing off his looper to focus on his breathing.

    • Thanks for making my point, there are very few doing much of anything in SL. The biggest exception I can think of is AMFORTE who could actually do a full show of original songs, has released a rl album, etc. Even she (sadly) is not a super huge runaway success, so to call the realists who point out that most everything in SL is karaoke, and that those who can do something to differentiate themselves like also playing an instrument are a degree closer to being a legitimate artist… If those people are gatekeepers, I think you lack true vision of what the gate is, or what’s really holding these “SL performers” back. The average populace of SL are late 30s and older, they don’t want truly original music, but rather cheer on people singing the songs they know, a la wedding singers and bar performers. None are living very plush lives in either world, and those that are keeping afloat with it rl are doing 2 and sometimes 3 performances a day. The entertainment industry is a very grueling world, and I don’t think you know the first thing about it really, you’re an armchair music critic at best.

I’m specifying the ones who look down their nose at those who don’t. My point is that playing an instrument doesn’t automatically make you s-tier and not all track-singers deserve to be shit on.

It’s not a “stigma,” in the entertainment biz unless you’ve got crit and original songs to your name, you aren’t shit.   18. I cannot make my Legacy look like my Maitreya. I couldn’t even make it look like SLink Physique. It’s the only body I know with a bad integration of BOM. The HUD is a godsforsaken joke. The body has so many triangles, it should be used to test sims for ARC-related lag if it isn’t already. You are free to be happy with it. But you are not wearing the ultimate mesh body on the grid. You also have to suck it up and realize diversity in mesh bodies finally exists. Maitreya’s near-monopoly is gone. Legacy does not deserve a crown that has been locked away into a vault guarded by the specters of Torley Linden’s watermelon fantasies.

  29. #7 Legacy shot themselves in the foot when they restricted what can be made for their body. Mods can be made for it but there cannot be a devkit released to go with that mod so what’s the point in making a body mod when there cannot be any creator support for it. Clearly the devs do not want others to make money off of body mods in the first place after they decided to not make mods but different bodies with the release of the perky/petite and pregnancy (of which has almost the same exact rigging as the original base legacy) bodies years ago. All of those could easily have been mods and not a completely new body for another 5k$L at the time.

Also, my height is over 6′ in bare feet. I’m going to give you the nips as the worst feature on that chest, though. I still hold that even in SL, someone who only sings covers to backing tracks they didn’t create, are truly no better than the person singing karaoke in a bar rl. It’s the same exact thing!

Running a deadly disease outbreak as part of a private RP where everyone signed off on it is one thing. Foisting it on dozens who didn’t agree as part of a sim-wide RP they can’t opt out of is another. Trauma RP should be opt in, or at the very least, something you can opt out of.

    • It’s more likely that you’re a trashpile of a human being. Maitreya may not be the current trendy body, or even the best selling right now. But it *is* the single most used body in SL, and still be for quite some time.

      • By update you actually mean buy an entirely new wardrobe, which is in no way cheap or easy. If you purchased Maitreya back when it was first getting big in the mid 2010s and you make regular clothing purchases, that’s hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of clothes that you’re saying they should just toss out in order to build up a new wardrobe. Granted, some items will have Legacy sizes included, but how many people throw out unused sizes to slim down their inventory? It’s not some small thing. Maitreya still works and works well. People still make clothes for it that look good. Unless you’re really dedicated to trying something new, there’s not a whole lot of reason to get a new body.

    • I consider reborn to be the most basic. Everyone who uses it looks unrealistic. There are no 20-year-olds that took like that or 30 or 40 etc. It’s very niche. Legacy and Maitreya look the most realistic if you have traveled a lot you’d see the way people are built say in the US/UK (Legacy) to Germany or Sweden (Maitreya). Reborn looks strange, tryhard-like. Usually, the most desperate, money begging. basic in clothing and even decorating homes wear Reborn. Nothing looks human about that body.

LL doesn’t seem to want to protect the creator community which helps turn their revenue.

    Creators can’t afford to take all the rippers to court, especially when it’s multiple countries involved. It’s a stain on Second Life and Linden Lab should be doing more to protect users and removing copybot viewers.

        That doesn’t mean they’re bad bodies, but even changing the sizes like a pro, each body has limitations, and I think that’s what’s good about them.

      • Similar situation. I never dated him though. I made it clear I was already in a relationship and happy and he told me he was fine with just being a friend. Then it became a daily thing where he would overstep and say something that made me uncomfortable, so I asked him not to. I’d restate my boundaries, ask him not to talk about XYZ again and he’d agree. Then the next day he’d do it again. I gave him three chances to correct the behavior because I know that some people think I come off as flirty, so I gave him that benefit. But when you are in a committed relationship and someone who is virtually a stranger starts propositioning you daily?         I can tell you from my experience, keeping him blocked and just moving on? He loses interest and moves on to the next target that will pay him attention. If you have friends make sure you warn them of the behavior. It’s an aggressive love bomb tactic to make you feel wanted and desired so he can get what he wants. If you don’t give him what he wants he’ll throw a fit but that’s about it.

        I don’t presume they are overweight in reality nor insert my opinion of their choice of body though, as that’s not the sort of person I’d personally like to be towards other members of the society i live in.

        Plus there are like, centaurs in SL. Hooves aren’t exactly anatomically common in sapiens but that’s what makes SL so fun. We can look like whatever the heck we choose.

      • Maitreya absolutely cannot be chubby. The waist quite literally breaks, causing jagged edges in the mesh any time you turn it, and the ass gets an actual corner on the underside if you make it much more than flat. Not to even mention that the hips and thighs have zero definition, so when you try to make them wider you end up with a giant gap and a horseshoe shape that has never existed on a human being. I get that there are girls running around like this, thinking they look cute because their friends are nice about their mess, but that body was not meant for a curvy shape and it definitely shows when you try. Slim/athletic are the only shapes Maitreya can do without looking deformed, if you have any kind of standards or attention to detail at all (and you still need a deformer for those fugly shoulders at the very least).

        Oh, and you are the only person in this whole comment section who mentioned “fatphobia”, so next time if you can’t respond without a total straw man you’d do well to just shut the fuck up.

Don’t use main width sliders are your base of building for thickness. Or your hip width. Saddle bags should be up to 100 especially without proper proportioning elsewhere, Most of you have no ideal how to use sliders appriopiately and even less knowledge actual human proportions.
