  4. Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of people policing their pixels? Like telling me my breasts or ass are too big, or that I’m dressed like a ‘ho’? Or that I am wearing the ‘wrong’ mesh body. You know what is also Classy? Not being a judgmental ‘ho’.

    I feel like considering how people are losing their rights to bodily autonomy in real life we should all be biting our pixel words when it comes to policing others pixels and how they express themselves by gender, sexuality, or style.

  11. 51 – You’re experiencing LOD issues because your game is on low graphics. Also, your low graphics are probably why you’re defending mesh bodies that are nearly a decade old.
    Jake does not LOD with decent graphics settings. Legacy Male is a bit laggy but looks better than the other male bodies.
    eBody, Legacy Full, and even Kupra all look better than Maitreya. The only reason Lara is still alive is because of new players wanting a cheap body and old players too stubborn to upgrade because they want to wear their old shitty looking clothes despite most clothes including a Legacy Full option in their box.

  12. 3) A friend linked this to me yesterday. I don’t usually follow virtual secrets so maybe my post doesn’t follow the normal cadence, but here it goes. To correct, he didn’t “disappear on me” at all. We simply broke up. No drama or scandal. No arguing. I have nothing bad to say…I prefer to keep in classy and just move on. Anything he does with his SL time after our breakup is not my business. This post feels like it’s projecting something that happened in a previous relationship. Life is precious and too short. Why invest time in someone in any way, shape or form who doesn’t bring joy to your life, especially this one? My motto: chuck it in the fuck it bucket and move on.  ❤

  15. 21 – Oh yes, we all should use the linden we earn from the products we created to support other creators. Oh wait… a lot of us aren’t creators and therefore don’t have the linden to do this. How about you not touch the linden you earn through creating and come back and tell us how many fatpacks you’re buying. I will tell you something though… if creators would stop locking patterns and certain colours in the fatpack they would make more linden. I will walk away before dropping 1000+L$ on a fatpack for one pattern I want. And in most cases this is exactly what happens. And let’s not forget how some creators are selling each piece of an outfit separately so you’re looking at closer to 5k or more.

  17. Whom ever submitted #43 needs an education course in what copybotting is. Taking an image off the internet and using that as a texture is not COPYBOTTING. Copybotting is the means of taking an exact copy of a prim or mesh design which wasn’t created by them. The use of a texture altho maybe a violation of copyright material is NOT copybotting.

    • I don’t even remember how many times I’ve explained that exact thing at this point; people constantly talk about “copybotting skins”. I guess I haven’t found the words small enough yet to explain the difference between an object and a texture to the mouth-breathers.

      • That probably happens, but it’s nothing to do with what I was talking about.

        It’s really as simple as people thinking “copybot” applies to stealing anything in SL, and casually misusing terms they don’t understand, as lazy people often do. Then when they’re told that’s not what it means, complete with links to proof, they have 2 choices- learn something new gracefully and scroll on to sound a little less dumb than they did before, or double down and pointlessly argue without a shred of actual knowledge to back it up. That stubbornly stupid response is the one I received, because there’s a comical number of people on this site who would rather be ignorant than learn anything from me personally- which is why it’s so funny. Makes me wonder if a couple of them might seriously reconsider breathing if I posted about how important it is  😏

    • I was actually in that store just a few weeks ago trying to figure out what the big deal was; not only are the animations bad, the furniture itself is aggressively ugly, like the textures are so shitty it’s almost like a giant “FUCK YOU” to her customers.       The popularity probably stems from the way the bento face animations automatically make bimbos’ mouths open further than humanly possible. People who use furniture like that need to be able to swallow dicks the size of baseball bats; they tend to do everything exaggerated and ridiculous.

  26. #12 Most of those are not morphs they are renders from the 3D program that was used to make that mesh clothing. This is a very common practice. Get over it.

  27. 1 – Probably because 90% of the products sold in events/in stores are retextured prefabs.

    4 – The same mesh bodies that were trending in previous years will still be there tomorrow and the next day and will always receive support as long as people purchase them. There’s no “superior mesh body” and probably never will be because people will always have their personal favorites that they will choose to stick with. I wish people would stop with this stupid ass mesh body debate as there is no debate to be had.

    14 – VRCHAT has been reduced to a literal daycare and is one of the most toxic platforms I’ve ever been on. Damn near every public lobby is either full of screaming children or edgy high schoolers who think sitting in front of a mirror for 5+ hours whilst blasting Da Baby and screaming the N-word at the first thing that moves is the coolest shit in the world. Meanwhile, half of them probably don’t even know that the slur is offensive. SL has its share of drama and what not but it’s not nearly as bad as that. If you can leave and come right back into the same drama and toxicity that you claim to dislike, that says more about the places that you hangout at and the people you choose to associate yourself with.

    21 – Good for you. I’m not going to drop 2.5k-4.5k on a whole fat pack just for one color. How about we stop color locking products behind expensive fat packs. People will buy the entire collection if they want it.

    37 – That’s nice. Keep in mind that, Unless they’re working directly under the direction of LL, no creator is obligated to create anything that they don’t want to. And making a purchase from our stores does not mean that you now get to dictate the direction of what we put out. For a lot of us, our stores are either small side hobbies or little passion projects that we started simply because we wanted to share our creations with the users of SL. So please, let us run our stores the way that we intended to. I’m sure there will be plenty who will put out for these new bodies and heads and if you or anyone else is not satisfied with the selection, then by all means, please feel free to take it upon yourself to learn how to rig your own mesh. There’s so many free resources out there that you can utilize to do so.

    45 – If you find this look so hideous, why have you taken it upon yourself to take so many screenshots of this persons avatar? That’s a bit creepy. Just derender them or the head and keep it moving.

    48 & 49 – The entirety of SL does not dress like this FYI. Perhaps you’d be able to see that if you stopped frequenting the same club(s). Don’t like the crowd, sim hop until you find one that’s suitable for you or live out your days on your own platform/sim. Everyone does not dress their avatar with your standards in mind.

    51 – Jake is the only make mesh body I’ve stuck with since 2015 and I’ve literally never experienced any issues with the LOD loading correctly for both my own avatar and others around me, even on my shitty spare 2015 craptop on the lowest graphics settings possible. You either need to learn how to adjust your LOD settings, update your drivers, or look into getting a new pc.

People used to share racist shit, shout racist shit, and talk shit all at the same time. This website alone is evidence enough of SL’s toxic ass community.       • Literally every online community or game that is free to join or play is highly toxic(eg. League of Legends, Fortnite)- and charging only helps somewhat. It’s almost like a high percentage of people are just pieces of shit when there’s no real consequences for what they say and do  🤔

      • I never said that SL wasn’t without its faults. It’s got plenty, that I’ll never deny. I’ve been to Korea1, nelsonia, ungren, mage, and various other notorious troll-infested hubs that had their share of toxicity back in my college days. Trust me, I know that crowd very well. Eventually I put two and two together and realized that in order to stop getting sucked into dramatic situations with toxic people, I’d need to stop hanging in the very environment that invites and/or entertains that type of behavior. All of SL’s community is not what you perceive it to be but if you want to believe that based off of a few bad run-ins with some toxic people, then by all means go right on ahead.

    I think you are hyping this up a little too much. Even if it does happen, there’s no way it’ll be as detailed as any mesh body and head you can buy on the market. The userbase still wouldn’t be big enough for most stores to even consider rigging and creating for it.

    • Yes, that and the fact that nobody wants to look like a starter default avatar at the end of the day. Even if you can adjust sliders are add skins and clothing to it, It will still look and be recognized as a starter/default avatar which is what a lot of people don’t want.

      • I agree about heads, but i don’t about bodies, as it would be positive for the whole SL to have a default body, as it would be much less work for creators which could focus more on increasing the quality of their creations. Most (female) users are using Maitreya, which is ugly and obsolete, compared to the other bodies. So it really isn’t better than a hypothetical starter/default body, assuming LL makes a good looking one. But yeah, i doubt this will ever happen tbh.

      • You can’t possibly look like a starter avatar if you dress it differently.
        Just because people spent money on mesh heads or bodies doesn’t mean they look better or even different. They look like the next around of they are using same head model, same body model. They are the same, only, they even payed for it!
        So, If you don’t want to create for these new free mesh bodies DON’T. Let others do and stop bullying people who choose them.

        OP is correct; only noobs and broke people are going to be using the default avi. There is absolutely zero chance it’s going to be higher detail than any current popular body, because unlike creators aiming for beauty in spite of lag, LL will be taking people on the minimum required PC specs into consideration. They will go for pure performance over appearance, which means the meshes will look rougher, and they will be PG, so there won’t be so much as a crotch cleft or a nipple bump to be found- total Barbie style.

        Upside for some I suppose is that it’ll make even Maitreya look better by comparison.

      • Don’t get me wrong, I saw the video someone posted of the reveal and it’s an improvement for sure, way better than the current default avatar by miles. It is however nowhere near as good as any body you’ll be able to buy.

        It’s good for new users, but don’t expect a ton of creators to add it to their regular bodies they create for. I’m sure some stores will create some gifts for it or update a few products to be used with it; but that’s probably about it.

      • You missed the point of my comment entirely. Nowhere did I say that people who spend money on mesh look better than those who don’t. That’s absurd. Look at it this way, I don’t wear the default avatars because I personally prefer a face and body with more realism and definition. I can change the skin, make my own clothing and so on but at the end of the day, the default/starter face will always to an extent, look like the default/starter face because that is how it was made to look.       • So, it’s incredibly suspect that if you had gotten the proper licenses for the character that appears to be unaltered (not sure what alterations you are referring to as the lineart and colors all seem to match their Unicorno Stellina character) that you didn’t mention the company that this character belongs to. Every single collab I’ve seen them do, from the high end to the low end always includes the brand name. If you are in the right and obtained the correct licenses there should be nothing to worry about and nothing to throw hands with the community about, but even if that is the case it is incredibly dishonest to claim to your customers that everything in that design was 100% original.

I reported one store for blatantly copying Gucci earrings down to the last detail a few years back. That store doesn’t even exist any more because their sole goal was to copy everything Gucci.

I’ve watched her mesh, I’ve heard stories of her students and then had to re-teach them the incorrect things she charged an outrageous price for. Her classes are a complete scam. She has literally stolen money from several students and then somehow manages to make it the student’s fault on social media. She routinely hops on lives and literally cries for sympathy votes only to delete the evidence when it no longer stands to benefit her. She’s a scam artist and a very unskilled creator who is passing on her bad habits to unsuspecting people who just want to learn.

    I also saw her openly admit that she started an item with a student of hers, then finished the item (which was her student’s idea to make in the first place) just so she could sell it. So not only is she not teaching the correct way to mesh and texture, but she’s also stealing her students ideas to turn a profit on them. Classy.

    Go watch Blender Guru on youtube instead of hire her. It will save you the $60+ you’d waste on her, and at least then you’d learn how to properly unwrap and work with low poly models.

      • I don’t have a problem. I even own a Legacy body. I’m not judging anyone for liking what they like. That’s my main message on this site. I will say that the company that makes Legacy:

        (1) Uses a server off-grid for its HUD. That’s why you have to turn on media to use it.

        (2) There’s a long-standing thread on the SL forum for tech support fixes when that server is not accessible in SL, requiring bypassing your computer’s security features in a complicated manner. Sometimes the server is just down and inaccessible.

        (3)And, they have bricked a $L 5,000 body before. That body never got out of beta, BTW. None of the promised updates were ever delivered.

        People like Legacy, and I can see why. But it is not the end-all, be-all.

      • There’s only like 1 person from the original TMP team involved in Legacy bodies, plus they took those classic bodies and updated them far beyond what they could ever have originally, since Bento and BOM didn’t exist at the time, and is now giving them away for free. Yes, the original team fucked up, but the newer team has done as much as humanly possible to make up for those errors. The Legacy bodies have had many updates since their releases, so obviously this team is operating differently. I’ve been using Legacy for years now and I’ve never seen the servers down when I needed the HUD, so seems like they’ve got it pretty stable. Do I think needing media for the HUD is a terrible idea? Sure. But there’s no reason to be melodramatic about being “bricked”.

        Even as a person who thinks Legacy is easily the best body, I have issues with them, but it’s kinda pointless to cling to the old shit as if it matters. It’s much more relevant to call them out for making it difficult to get their dev kit, and for never creating a dev kit for their finger and toenails when their default options are all pretty ugly, especially on the toes. We get a dozen shades of blue and green, but almost no normal pinks or reds? Really? It’s idiotic that I have to wear attachment toenails to get a simple french tip. It should also have Pointe feet by now… not that lazy bitches won’t still leave their feet in that awkward high heel shoe position for every barefoot photo  🙄  but for the handful of us that actually use attention to detail, it would be nice to have.

        No one but you said anything about “end all, be all”, but Legacy definitely are the most detailed, most realistic meshes, and if realism is your goal then they are the best bodies, with Belleza as a second, for both men and women.

    • The reason why “eBody is taking over” is because it is a MODIFY-enabled mesh body, that is significantly less laggy than Legacy, & the creators are actually helpful and allow 3rd party creators to make addons and such without a fuss.

      Other bodies are falling behind because they insist on being no mod, creator unfriendly, and old and outdated. Maitreya is the epitome of this. It is just the SL default old body but converted to mesh and made higher poly.

      • I feel like this “Maitreya is based on the system body” thing might be easy to test for anyone who still has any standard size mesh lurking in their inventory. I haven’t tried any since I was Belleza, but I remember that even if the dimensions could work, the entire mesh sat either too far forward or back as if they had different center points. If Maitreya is the only one with the same “center”, that’s probably as close as you could get to proof.

Those boob mods really turned me off from that body which seems to be the selling point, whenever I see that squished weird square boob I go blegh and delete all the demos again. It’s optional I know but I just don’t like any of it. But I don’t think any of the really well established bodies are going away. Legacy, Maitreya, Kupra, Ebody seem to be the ones that will be domiate the market for some time to come. SO I am not sure why people are bitching.

She did this on a GoT sim in 2019 where the admins gave in to her every time she threatened to leave the sim, and you want to know what happened? She was given the position to be next in line and 2 days later the sim tanked because no one wanted to be part to her little bitch and moan show.

        She is an absolute black hole when it comes to RP, looking to only take everything for herself and offer nothing actually constructive, as any gripe from “the players” is really just a gripe from her. If she wants to be the queen she can fork over her own damn money to start a sim. Good luck with that though, considering no one wants to deal with that bullshit.

    • I think quite a few of us have known about Sarra since the moment she showed up on sim. She can’t ever stay away from a Game of Thrones sim. Luckily one of her friends let slip to me that she was Raycen, so good luck on that front.       • The whole thing with Ruckus is sure, each piece of furniture he’s made has a few animations in it that are more comical than sexy. The couch is not alone there; there’s an animation in the shower where M is literally riding F’s ass like a jockey… with his feet off the floor. There’s also a handjob where M is doing a handstand- and keep in mind, this is a shower, lol. In the bed there’s an animation where F gets knocked the fuck out by M closed fist, and a bj where F lifts M up on her shoulders and basically spins around. There are definitely a couple of animations in the couch that are so stupidly rough that you just kinda stop and laugh, but percentage wise his stuff is still worth it because most of the animations are good and he charges so little for his completely original work. If his meshes weren’t so ugly he could easy charge Darkfold prices, and he would deserve every L.

      • You can save some prims by unlinking the root prim that has all the animations and scripts in it from the ugly build, stripping the pretty build of all its animations and scripts, and then linking the ruckus root prim to the pretty build. Of course that requires the pretty bed to be mod, but thankfully furniture usually is.

    I prefer the Legacy (female) body over Maitreya. My issue with Legacy is the white gap between thighs when you don’t want to have some hip (but not massive hip mind you), its still there. I like the Legacy’s stomach isn’t completely flat unlike Maitreya. Legacy has a little bit of mesh deffinition in the stomach area. Maitreya doesn’t have the thigh gap issue, but I am starting to see the differences with the shoulders.

    There’s always going to be something I don’t like with one body or the other. I am not into Kupra or Ebody at all, those are for people who need bigger hip/bodies for some reason.

    Everyone is going to like what they do for their own reasons, whatever works best for them should be what they use. There are many styles I don’t like on SecondLife but I don’t tell people they should hate it. You do you, be happy with what you want no matter what anyone else says.

Sure you can look chubby in legacy body but is a certain type of big you cant do with legacy just like certain shape you cant do with ebody that you can do with kupra. At the end of the day majority of you dont even come close to what you look like in rl and some of yall that do are perfect at shaping a body to look like you. If people knew how to shape maybe they complain less about bodies ”taking over.”. I even seen people with ebody looking like legacy.     • I prefer the Legacy body myself but you have to work with everything to get the thigh gap taken away. You can still look a little curvy and all. You just have to take the time with the love handles and the saddlebags. I have tried all the bodies except eBody and right now I can tell you that everyone is going to have an issue somewhere. Sadly though, Maitreya has been long out of the running. I do like Kupra for the curves but I don’t like how your breasts are pointed out like crazy. In no way would anyone have their breasts in a bra darted out five miles with an uplift. As far as what I have seen with eBody, I don’t like the smash look with the outfits. Is it me or does it look like the breasts have became squared. But everyone is different.

    • I used to use Legacy and it is still one of my favorite body to date but with the recent juicy boobs with Ebody, I switched because heh, boobs however, I do not like like thick their thighs are even when I try to make the kinda slim looking. I’m a big girl in RL, I don’t use SL to replicate anything from my RL so I am not trying to make my avi look anything like me. I love that you can be however you want in SL (be a prim box, idc lol). The issue I had with Maitreya is the shoulders, there is s dip in right were the joints are and that bugs me. Legacy overall have a better shape (in my opinion). Ebody is ok, I had to wear deformers to kind of reduce the butt size and make them lower a little because it was jutting up and it looked weird. The boobs are amazing. And if I’m being honest, if Legacy came with an update like the juicy boobs, I’m ditching eBody and wearing Legacy again.

      With this said, I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and they can wear whatever body their choose, its all about preference. What I hate is when people start comparing these bodies and then start arguing amongst themselves as which body is more superior than the other. Who the fuck cares?! Its also annoying when people saying “Oh, you’ll never know until you try. Like this is the best body ever” as if trying to force their opinion down your throat. Same with squishy thighs, I get so much hate for not liking it. To me, I don’t find it realistic that someone would want to wear something that would constrict their blood flow to any parts of the body. The juicy boobs is way believable because I do have a half cup bra that does that. And people who wears corsets, get that effect as well but do I go around telling people that they are wrong for wearing the squishy thigh mods? No. But this post is literally telling people who wear other bodies than Jake that they are better than the rest of them. Smh

        The other explanation going around is that the regions were heavily sponsored by other people. When they pulled funding for various reasons, infidelity, backstabbing, etc… they had no funding to continue.
        He tried to get others to fund money back to find the regions through his brother, having yelling, threats and the screaming abdabs for people to cough up money in his absence.

        As for the voice ranting, they are among the many to be targeted I think. Anyone that Toby feels is not on board with him is a threat.
        Yes, he tried to frame them for his banning too, even though LL almost certainly would have had the evidence to support the opposite (see Secret 42). There is also the free mesh body on MP that is supposedly a mesh version of the SL default body and no, people didn’t rush for those either. If you have a problem paying for a mesh body, head, so be it. SL is a community where we enjoy buying things and that means quality things. The heads and bodies are not expensive related to the cost of a gallon of gas today so I don’t see an issue with people paying for something that will last a lot longer.
    If you can’t afford them, or choose not to purchase them, fine. Doing some sort of rally cry on VS thinking that everyone will stop buying good mesh bodies and heads in support of these new default mesh avatars is pointless. And again, same goes for all my friends who have tried OoS. Nothing wrong with my posts nor theirs, I always include others in my posts, always give things for people to work on, I’ve been RPing for years, I know it’s collaborative. My character will ask questions and be co-operative, I’ve tried many things, no dice. Again, same with friends, and I know some really talented writers who are very inclusive so… it’s not post quality.
        You know what we all have in common? We don’t play conventionally attractive characters, with perfect skin, massive boobs, and ahegao faces. Go figure.

        Done nothing but “Be social.” Done everything I could to try and get involved. Nothing. Brushed off or ignored every time. My character simply isn’t “sexy” enough for people to care, or for factions to recruit. I can’t think of any other explanation.

        1. We only have your word that you and your “friends” have been ignored, you still sound like that guy who posts yet has nothing for anyone to respond to
        2. Considering there are ugly looking goblins and other races who get roleplay, you can’t use the excuse it’s because you’re not attractive.
        3. Faction leaders send out notices regularly to advertise their faction, just like any other sim with factions you find the people who can invite you by rping with them.
        4. I don’t rp as an elf I get rp, nor do I have erp with everyone still get rp.
        5. If all the players on the sim who don’t erp didn’t get rp, then they wouldn’t be on the sim and yes there are players who are strictly rp only.
        6. Maybe you have a bad reputation, remember the rp circle is small.

      • I don’t play a big titty elf and I certainly don’t ERP with anyone at the drop of a hat, there are plenty of people on the sim who are the same or gasp don’t even ERP at all and we all get a decent amount of RP.

        Events are not just for factions there are sim wide ones too that anyone can join, and to get into a faction you just find the people who can invite you. That being said such faction invites are no different from any other RP sim where there are factions.

        The only person I’ve seen on the sim who was ignored or pushed out did nothing but post about himself and what he was doing. Every post was his actions he wasn’t talking to anyone, he gave no one a single thing to react to then cried about it. You should just like him.

        We only have your word that this happened to you and your “friends” no matter what you tried, I will point out there are some really fucking ugly goblins and other OCs on sim they get RP so you can’t use the excuse it’s not because your avatar is not attractive. Peace out, be salty!
