    • They really are gross; you can go to pretty much any busy adult spot and find at least 1 or 2 of those nasty fuckers at any time. I have zero issue with anyone’s gender identity- like I couldn’t possibly care less and respecting pronouns is easy for anyone with a functioning brain- I just don’t get why nearly everyone who chooses “femboi” seems to think they have to be pedo bait in order to look “feminine”. 9/10 SL “fembois” look like sex-trafficked children and it’s fucking disgusting.

If you think there’s so many fully adult presenting fembois in SL that they are the majority, they shouldn’t want to be represented by those walking sex crimes. That’s not the majority most people are seeing in SL, and if you don’t clean house within your own “identity demographic” you run the risk of being judged by the worst when they are the “loudest” and most visible. I sure as fuck don’t hesitate to call out cishet women who choose to look like sexualized children, I don’t associate with them, and I don’t associate with pedophile men who have anything to do with them either.

        I love the “not actually doing anything about it” bullshit that defenders of this gross behavior like to pull, because you literally never know if that is true- it’s a 100% ignorant thing to say about any stranger. There is zero logic in assuming just because someone makes comments about other people’s pedo posts on a website, that is all they ever do to combat the problem. It’s just a very weak attempt at undermining the legitimacy of those comments, and who would want to undermine people who are against sexual ageplay? I wonder what the most logical answer is there…

        If I see anything I can actually report based on ToS, damn sure I do it without hesitation. However, if I were to take those names off that post and report them just because I think they look gross, that would do nothing but waste LL’s time and could even backfire against my own account, because merely appearing underage isn’t against ToS- even in adult areas- unless you also have clear proof they are engaging in sexual activity and clothing/group titles do not qualify. You need chat logs or snapshots in the act for a report to go anywhere. What do we have to do, set up our own SL version of “To Catch a Predator” and entrap them in order to meet your arbitrary criteria for legitimate concern?

It set the tone for the community people left and creeps came running. Brett and Catia work where Lucy manages so of course they are safe. Quality doesn’t matter and when the few remaining good ones pack up and leave there won’t be anything left but creeps and alts. Hell that is pretty much all that’s left now.     • You’re talking to people who grew up in the generation that thought the Beatles and Ozzy Ozbourne were some new artists who were about to blow up because some new artist that was popular more recently used their music or featured them on a track. They have issues conceptualizing time before they existed. It’s not worth the effort. Most actual “Boomers” have probably never even logged into SecondLife.

      • Personally, I’ve never understood why Boomers are hated so much when you consider everything they have contributed, and mostly I’m talking about the last 10 years of the Boomers, who are called, Generation Jones. When you look at what this generation created, it’s pretty mind blowing; Vertical skateboarding/pool riding (Z-boys), punk (Black Flag, whom had to start their own record label), modern day computing and gaming (Jobs, Gates).

        This last half of Boomers, were brought up on tons of early 60’s propaganda and were promised endless job opportunities and great $$$. However, once they reached adulthood, they were confronted with a vastly different reality (punk was born out of this btw). In actuality they were the original Gen X; both parents working, no supervision, high divorce rates, tons of drugs and HIV.

        Henry Rollins, Keanu Reeves and Depp are the perfect examples of this last cohort of Boomers. They have a real, “fuck you, I’ll do it myself because I don’t trust you,” attitude. Not saying all of Generation Jones were like this but MANY are.

        Also, it’s very rare to see any Generations Jones as Kevin’s/Karen’s because they do not trust the government or ANY level of authority (whom they could never trust), so who would they complain to?

      • Generation Jones are not Boomers. They have a name of their own because they don’t have the same experiences and attitudes. My RL is a Joneser, and he sees almost nothing in common between himself and Boomers and never has. However, yes, many Karens and Kevins are Jonesers, because the trick with being one of them is entitlement. That is not unique to Boomers or any other generation.

    • I agree with that. Most came from the sims online too. SL has a really wide range of people of all ages. “The Karens” are not just Boomers. I can 100% assure you this. lot of the Karen behavior comes from the communities that feel entitled or come from IMVU with a chip on their shoulder. This is my personal xp mind you! Been here on and off for about 16 years.

      A side note: I enjoy my RL and am successful with a family. SL has been my go-to for social fun since I was 18 because real life people don’t come with a red X I can click when I need to shut down.. before anyone harps on my 16 years on and off.

Like… even Active Worlds existed back in the 90s and was better than IMVU, Second Life has existed since 2004 and is basically Active Worlds taken to the next level. With titties.

  15. #35 For anyone who doesn’t understand, all of these rp sims that make you log onto their website have the ability to track your IP and gather information on who you and all your alts are. This isn’t something new, but isn’t talked about a lot. You log onto their website and fill out your driver’s license and car registration for their sim, they have your IP. They see at said time, Person A applied for their DL with the IP of xyz, then three months from now, your alt Person B does the same, with the same IP, now they know that Person A is matched to Person B. There are ways around it, but most people are thinking about all that when just trying to have fun in rp.

    • If that is their intention it’s pretty silly. VPN use is widespread and many people now connect to the internet using CG-NAT, lots of IP sharing going on.

      For the most part you don’t use IP’s to identify users, it has become increasingly unreliable for that purpose.

      If they are trying to identify alts… why? I’m not very clued up on this RP sim stuff

      • It’s just how the internet works. If you visit a website, you give away your IP. Sims have websites for various purposes – like lore, applications, rules, etc., and normally you register to get email notifications, process your app or access additional info. Possible alt identification is just a normal side effect, and indeed not a very reliable one.

      • Sure but if they give a fuck about the IP address someone is connecting to their website from they’re going to think a bunch of people are sharing IP addresses due to the high (relatively) chance of people connecting from the same IP these days.

        Given these are small communities maybe there isn’t such a huge chance but I’d be pretty confident the big VPN provider IP’s will come up even in a small community, CG-NAT IP’s probably not so much but it’s possible.

        I just don’t see why they’d be interested in it as an identifier is all, are they trying to identify alts of banned people?

      • I hide my online status and group chats in groups are turned off. The owners of FMD and Fuck Spot and other places open conference chats from from inside the groups. Bella Lethal and Eva and others from the group have done it in the past themselves.

I remember the time he scammed 100s of people when he owned a community sim, afterwards decided to do other things and scam more people. Photographers still need to be paid!!
