It’s not New Haven that’s keeping other communities down, it’s the reputations that these other communities have. Timber Falls is linked to Fox Hollow and that’s been the biggest turn off about it. Stalking around New Haven and submitting crap to secrets won’t change it. Instead focus on uplifting your own community. We are tired of reading these false “secrets”

#21, I wish people would realise that the reviews aren’t a popularity pageant, they’re simply a tool used to collectively share item quality. They’re not meant to be falsely nice to a creator, they’re a source of feedback.
Creators, even ones giving things for practically free, are not owed good reviews. And those who cannot or do not buy lindens deserve decent quality items and to not waste their money like the rest of us.
Now, if a one star review is left for drama reasons, yes that’s wrong to do. But otherwise, they’re normal.
Those who cannot or do not buy Lindens aren’t owed anything honestly, they ride on the backs of those of us who keep SL alive leaching off all they can. That however doesn’t invalidate your point that real reviews are what keep things moving ahead and improving.
That is not a view I plan to hold. Enough games have non-paying players that I do not care if someone does not buy lindens. And I also never said they’re owed anything, only that they ought to be allowed to review things and know their quality before buying just like anyone in SL gets. Any account, with or without payment info on it has access to view and write marketplace reviews. So inherently they’re able to access these things. It is unreasonable of them to kowtow and ignore the quality of an item just because it was sold for 1 linden.

New Haven gets a lot of people who are fed up with other sims, not banned. New Haven has been wonderful. One of the best communities in my opinion, outside of Southford Falls which is another wonderful community.

It’s probably just the never ending cycle of dullness in rp communities. Cliques leave other dull ones in droves to form new dull ones. Then they split when drama comes back to the others again. It’s the circle of dull life. There really just isn’t anything to do at some point. The town workers have their vehicles to play with, but no ones out of their houses to talk or do anything unless prodded to with events, which are usually lame. The few that do rp leave on the endless journey of sad pretend virtual life seeking.
The dreary silence has spread over every sort of community, from what I have seen. Just a sea of pixel-perfect bodies in grouped clusters, sharing dance huds or titles or last names, where no-one dares to talk to another group or bothers to speak in nearby.
I agree. They all sound like very Bitter people too! This site was meant to be for some juicy gossip, some real secrets, instead all they do is bicker like children about their opinions on a place that upset them. Only deranged people would do that.
Ever notice that every new RP sim or community that comes out, everyone says, YAYYY!! finally the greatest RP place ever! Then two weeks later, it’s now the worst sim ever! It always happens. I don’t think the fault is with any of the sims, or their owners, it’s simply the people. Everyone is looking for something, but not all of those things are the same things! If you don’t like a place, be quite simply leave, find a sim where you can gel with people. Why stick around, or even waste time thinking about a place you said dislike?
Everyone has their own opinions as to what they like, you are not a god or a dictator. Let everyone decide for themselves where they want to be. So what if it’s not where you think they should want to be. Be happy where you are, and allow others to be happy where they want to be as well.
I’ve come to realise that creative projects where there is a community that comes together have all but vanished from SL. Most every club, themed sim, and themed event has become a silent, colourless experience where no-one speaks. There once was a sense of vibrancy even a few years ago that has just gone and not come back.
