Despite Pounce belonging to Leo, someone literally messed with his heart to the point people left the club or he fired every staff member and let it risk to die. And don’t get me started because Pounce is a whole ‘nother can of worms.), or whatever, people will ignore it because, let’s be honest. People want to think with emotions. Not logic. Like, literally there was a vendor in SL that was losing business, and now they be getting business again because “Oh this user was in a car crash. They probably are not as bad anymore.” … What the actual fuck?

      It’s a problem with any community. I rather just not have to deal with them anymore.

    Yeah, this sort of thing does not make sense to me. I believe if you have a system where you require customers to purchase a base item for every other item to be used with, you ought to make the base item as inexpensive as you can manage. And then sometimes, you give things like this to be used with the base, for free. Certainly sometimes, some people will only get the base item and your free gifts for it. But, there are more people overall using your system, and plenty still who will pay for the full-price items as well. Maybe this works more for the eyes than the clothing, I realise, but overall it is a better model.

    The instant you realise how to check mesh items for this type of (read: lack of) optimisation, your entire SL gets ruined. Or you start spending a LOT less L$ on things. Either way, shopping is going to begin taking you plenty longer than it once did. This rubbish is everywhere. Clothes, yes. But furniture is the worst for it. Nutmeg. moss & mink. Half Deer. dust bunny. Wrong. They are all atrocious. Check for this before you buy from anywhere, and avoid stores which do this.

I’ve not known any alts as of yet to be camping at club boom boom and with lindo if any alts are spotted they will be banned from the lindo game that goes off at the club. So majority if not all should be normal people.

Telling someone to choose a race already is quite racist because it is up to that person to decide on what skin they want to put on in Sl as it is their avatar and not yours. So the decision on what they wear is up to them.

    I decided to visit this club and eventually apply for a position.
    Well, the layout is quite confusing, you land in one place but they have like three stages and you have to wait, rez everything around you and take a teleporter, hoping you clicked the right destination. Many don’t have that kind of patience, just saying, and staff pays the price for that since they don’t even know where they are located to tip them.
    I went twice, two different time slots to see if they have a good crowd and what was going on. The host didn’t greet me, not once. I mean I know it happens when a club is busy, but two different people at two different times doesn’t seem ok to me.
    I think they have that stupid crosstipping policy that’s so rampant nowadays in SL clubs, where your colleagues have to tip your jar a fixed amount and then you have to pay it back to them, but the amount still shows on your jar. Guess what, that doesn’t make people more inclined to tip, it just makes staff’s job harder. After two hours and like 50 avatars on the sim both host and dj went home without a penny.
    Owners and managers, please treat your staff with respect, they deserve to be compensated for the time they spend in your club and you, like many others these days, don’t seem to care.

    It happens in the fall when school starts. Most folks (usually young adults) head back to the campus to start their semester. So they don’t have the time for a second life. Plus if you are on Euro time. Most American time zone people are sleeping. Plus some folks have seasonal jobs where they have to head back to work in the fall. And also many other factors like. The Sims combat meter could be too complex for some people. Some folks are sick of DnD sims and just want to simply freeform. Excessive lagging due to complex objects can make some folks with low-quality PCs not want to rolplay there because they keep crashing. And factors like some roleplayers tend to be very elitist and snobbish. Some roleplayers take over leadership positions in the sim and do a piss poor job at it. etc etc. Those kinds of things depopulate a sim over time.

    • For sure, you’ll notice over summer a lot of roleplay drops off while folks are on vacation, then they get back from vacation, and a lot of folks with seasonal work, or formal education to go to, will be severely limited on time. The same thing happens with ttrpgs too, you’ll get good turnout for some of the year, but the rest is a crapshoot whether you can get the gang together to play.

Origins of Sin of all places is the only one that’s still kicking because of their laissez faire attitude. And minimal, but effective combat hud.

    • The Awakening could have been awesome but unfortunately had extremely poor leadership/design and underappreciated and overworked staff members. Youll notice that almost every single staff member has left and that those who remain (owner) don’t engage with the SIM or group at all. Its honestly disrespectful to treat the player base that way and I hope if they do try and revamp like they said, that is fails for that reason alone lol and look how many members the discord has lost.     • Yeah, have to agree with this. Had a similar incident with a friend and the guy she was with. I saw red flags the guy was a player and warned her. She didn’t listen, got pregnant with twins and engaged. They went to the doc and got a midwife assigned to them. He gave the midwife a sob story, claimed he had dumped my friend while still spending every night with her and got the midwife pregnant. Finally dumped my friend and married the midwife, but started hitting on her friends trying to get them to have sex and get pregnant. They told the midwife and she dumped him. He hooked up again and partnered, the midwife contacted the new woman warning her, he did same routine as before. Midwife and the woman he married after her ended up partnering. I finally got involved cause my friend was still considering taking him back because he twisted everything to a believable lie. The midwife gave logs from Discord showing he lied and was trying to hurt my friend. Think about how 12 year olds in middle school would rather not hang out with 8 year olds in elementary school… not a huge difference between years, but there’s a significant difference in what’s relatable.

The lack of life experience in some younger folks can make it really hard to relate to them in meaningful ways. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, it can, but I have to admit, I always have to take a step back before I react, and have a think about what I was like at that age. Then I can approach them with the right mindset – accepting that they don’t have my life experience, and that part of them growing is making mistakes and learning from them.

It genuinely can be difficult to long-term interact with people who don’t share your life experience, whether it be someone older or younger than your cohort – different upbringings and world events can drastically shape how we perceive the world, and of course, interests are likely to differ because you’ve not grown up attached to the same cultural touchstones. Interacting between age groups is just as challenging as interacting with people from a foreign country, you simply don’t have the same cultural viewpoint on a lot of things, which can sometimes make it hard to find common ground.       • Unfortunately, a lot of furries are chronically online, and don’t understand that they’re kind of siloed into furry communities, and that knowledge they take for granted, others don’t know. They get like this on Twitter, holy shitballs, the number of times they’ll go off on another furry for not knowing something that individual assumes to be common knowledge is enough to make your head spin. I will say, I don’t miss that about Twitter (furry or otherwise) at all.

    • It’s more about the fact the event rules state must be gift. The ideal of a gift is not gift depending on purchase but gift freely as part of the event. Many just do random items like an earring. Recolor single older item or whatnot. However, making it a gift that depends solely on purchase does actually go against the ideal. Of course, nobody anywhere has to give gifts, except in fact when sign a contract to do so.

      • You miss the whole point, why would you just grab a gift from a store you don’t shop from normally that deals in things you don’t use? Gifts are meant as a thank you to their customers, not so you can literally leach and live in SL for free on the backs of others!

      • Not even sure where your thought process in this. Not once did I mention any of this. And no gifts are not always meant as a thank you. In events they are generally meant as a means of promotion especially for those do not usually shop there. To entice more sales with new customers. You talk about leeching, but forget the fact the entire thing is about gifts at events. Events that are putting in rules at the specific round that HAS to be a gift. Why? To promote traffic and consumers for the event and vendors. Gasps novel ideal right? The same way many events in RL do to entice people to come and then want to spend money at the vendors.

      • I highly doubt the rules of any event are ever going to say that the “gift” item must be solely useable on its own. The definition of gift is to give something for free, which they are doing. ANd not for nothing, but “Free with purchase” is one of the most common sale practices irl as well. But hey… you could always make your own shopping event with your own rules!

        ps – I think you meant to use “idea” not “ideal”, there is a difference  😊 

      • Nobody “ signed a contract” to do so.
        Event owners, for certain events at certain special times ask that the creators offer a little free gift.
        Maybe the event is celebrating a special day or a grand opening or something.
        Creators can choose to skip the round or choose a different event if they don’t have time to make a free gift for Karen.
        If it’s not “ ideal” for your entitled ass then keep moving.
        Coming here to whine about a free item not being what you wanted makes everyone want to slap you.

      • a verbal signature is still a signature. purchasing a vendor spot agreeing to rules is still a contract. if the round taking part in and purchased vendor slot for says in rules for a gift, then they have to do a gift. that is the agreement/ the contract. Don’t wish to that is fine too then do not take part of that round. Nobody is forcing them, they chose to spend the Ls for that booth, they chose to agree to the rules of that round which means .. drumroll… they are in fact obligated by the event to give a gift. Nothing about entitled, I actually own nothing that was a gift at an event myself they are generally nothing worth cluttering inventory for in first place. Facts are simply facts.
