It’s easy to change to a different land if you want and if you have a full homestead they will switch it completely to one of their many other designs such as going from forest land to a beach.     • As far as I know Eliza was never a manager. Emma, there was one when I first moved to town but she decided to leave with someone else and go over to grimlocke I think. They have quite a few managers now.

      • Naw. They moved out of NH for personal reasons from what I was told. They didn’t even give notice. They legit spend a day grabbing their stuff and removed everyone from NH. They left with no notice or warning to Cara & Brian. They were just as upset and confused as everyone else.

    • to be fair… its 5 fatpacks (top, bottom, shoes, backpack, book stack accessory). that ends up only being 700 each which really isn’t bad. I def wouldnt pay 700L for a fatpack of a backpack or books to hold, but i’d prob pay 800-900 each for the rest, so that balances out. but only if that outfit holds up for multiple looks and reuse/wear… which to me it doesn’t. I’m sure others like it enough to pay it.

    • Velour has a separate addon that removes the shine, and it helps a bit, but it should have been a default option imo. Although a lot of people seem to like it.

      • Good thing they’ve put out 2 other female body skins (Venus and Picasso) since Ipanema, neither of which are shiny by default. I agree the oiled look is weird and incredibly outdated- reminds me of the early, EARLY days of SL- but it’s way past being relevant as a complaint against Velour when it’s only 1 of 3 options.

In most other countries guns are only owned by law enforcement etc. so even owning a truckload of guns in SL is not going to inspire people to go on a rampage in RL, because they simply can’t.

    All the most popular video games involve full-blown violence…PUBG, Mortal Kombat, Doom etc. Kids and adults are addicted to these games.
    In SL, apart from the VICE combat stuff, most guns are just props. Themes like spies, mafia, military, police etc. have always been popular. You are making an issue where there isn’t one.

    I agree, gun violence is extremely horrible. But only RL laws can solve the RL problem.

    REMEMBER MOST OF THOSE MEMBERS ARE INTO ”FREE” STUFFS. IT IS ALSO A GROUP BUILT BY Christi/Tiff haystack and her friends to advertise her store, being a sponsor you are feeding her and those freebie lovers LOL. They don’t buy, they get your free stuffs and then give you ungrateful, nasty comments.

    The group also promotes hate about certain scripts, systems the ”core members” don’t like while falsely advertising some certain store/script.

I’ve been a resident of Willowdale for several years and before that many years with their sister company Luxury. They allow you to move the items they leave on your land or to just delete them altogether. However, any landscaping you want done, you have to do yourself within the rules of the convent ofcourse. I’ve never had one issue with this company which is why I’ve stayed for so long. Perhaps you need to learn to be less entitled and also learn how to do landscaping or buy a house that fits your land instead of coming here and talking crap about a really great land owner.

        Third, it is true that studies indicate the majority of guns used by criminals are illegally owned. A lot of people aren’t killed by criminals, though (see above). Also, since police departments aren’t required to report all violent deaths to the FBI, and also not required to give details when they do so, what the legality of the guns used in murders are is unable to be accurately determined. Criminals aren’t asked “did you kill with an illegal gun,” just “did you get the gun in the crime you committed through legal channels or not.” Armed robbery is not murder without murder being committed during same, to state an obvious point. And our single best set of data on the issue is 19 years old.

        Finally, you aren’t one, it’s clear, but the majority of your cohort support evidence-based gun laws in our country. Background checks that work, delays between purchase and delivery, and so forth. Illegally obtained also means “got around a background check or bought it where they didn’t bother to run one.” Not all improperly owned firearms are gotten on the black market. Never have been.

        Nobody sensible sees a total end to death by firearm in the US. They exist. You can currently use 3-D printers to make necessary parts. If anyone perfects heat and percussion-resistant 3-D printer materials, making a complete gun will be in people’s hands no matter what. Nobody sensible claims no gun laws do anything worth the effort, either. There’s too much proof against that.

        PS: The two nearest countries to the USA are Mexico and Canada. Both countries trace the majority of their illegal firearms back to the US.         Bonus round: Colombia has strict gun ownership laws. Getting a permit as a citizen is difficult, impossible as a foreign resident. The criminals and paramilitaries have to smuggle theirs in from other countries, ranging from South Africa to the USA, and routed through any of several Central American countries before they arrive in that nation’s borders. They’re also buying armaments no criminal in the US would touch with a 10-meter prim. You don’t need surface-to-air missiles or bazookas to defend your drug-selling territory or your personal honor. I’d like to think that a senseless gun death in their own families might wake them up, but unfortunately as a lifetime resident of the South, I know only too well they’re much more likely to find something else to blame rather than ever admit they were wrong.

        Lunar has been in the Saturday Sale MANY times. They also issue updates when there is an issue reported with one of their items, and very quickly too. That means they definitely do read notecards requesting support, when they are comprehensible and sent through the proper channels. Whatever was in your ignored notecard- if it existed- was either so poorly stated no one could understand it, or you did something dumb and you expected someone else to fix it, such as “accidentally” buying the wrong thing. From how poorly you communicate here, I wouldn’t be surprised if you sent the nc to the wrong person; it’s not always the creator, sometimes they have CSRs and managers. You have to read their profile to get the correct contact instructions, and then follow them. If you don’t, you deserve to be ignored.

      • Out of context. Was about the neighbors below me making meth, I’m allergic to Dextromethorphan, so I had to do something to stop it. This doesn’t really have much to do with SL really. I had been smelling an odor for a while, smelled like rotten eggs, cabbage, and some sweet smell that was coming from the sink. It wasn’t until I described it to people in SL that people told me it was meth, so I googled it and found it out. When this smell happened, a lot of weird symptoms would pop up, along with full body swelling.
        Once again though, this isn’t proof of claims from last week. And I know who I told this to, and I was right who it was.
        It’s amazing they shared this though. Goes to show, you give someone a home in SL for 2 years for free, you make a lovense jar, specifically designed for them so they can do lovense the way they want, and you help them with their relationship trouble. You forgive them for blackmailing someone in your club, and when I get sick of their constant flow of drama, I yeet their toxic ass out of my life. And this is what they do in return, so be it.

However, with vapor you can actually sit down and have a intelligent chat with, and he will knock off his bad behavior for a while. Sashi will continue, and never see the error in their ways, until they resolve the issue they think they have with someone. This is why Vapor lasted longer than Sashi.

        There was good sides to Vapor. But in the end the bad sides outweighed the good.
        There was good sides to Sashi. But they were tainted, and I hope they see the light some day and wake up.

With that in mind do you think people would want to join a house knowing there’s no chance to grab for power with an untouchable NPC heir of a former character?       • You’re acting as if the admins have not invalidated players’ attempts to do exactly that in favor of maintaining their control over events and RP, rather than allow consequences to actually play out. If it isn’t magically inserting unknown or discovering long lost heirs and mainline relations, it’s delaying legitimate RP to change the status quo until they can come up with a ‘better plan’ than anything the players attempt and then block them because, “Oh, X, who happens to be an admin/admin’s partner apped in as this previously unpublished role is here now so ignore all your RP.”

        It’s supposed to be Game of Thrones RP, not playacting the script that the admins have decided to play out. And given the fact their lore ‘resets’ have devolved in fanfiction written by a child handed a wiki summary of a World of Ice and Fire and a pile of pixie sticks, well, I don’t see how any of the players’ attempts could be any worse.

      • Don’t know about you but I’d call any GoT sim lasting a year relatively consistent for the genre. Maybe instead of getting butt hurt over the “in crowd” do something wild like actually plot in character to grab for some power rather than whining out of character. The only attempts to overthrow the crown have been half assed hail mary’s. You want to get story? Make story and actually do something instead of waiting for people to give it to you.

      • Oh, so like when a group of players RPed gathering support with existing houses on sim to have themselves declared regent of a region after the admins revoked and banned the IC lead? Only to be told that their efforts would have to wait until the next council meeting…

        Until the sim owner magically apped in before that as the long lost character the admins had told multiple people would never be recast a third time, only to go, “Oops, well, our king didn’t know OOC so we’ll just reopen the role”

        Thus essentially delaying both IC and OOC till the admin could take over the region, rather than honor the RP the players did?

        Oh, and the Story Requests sent about how that region would react would be, “Eh, that last one was a bitch for telling the peasants they didn’t need to submit to a fast if it brought them harm and she would take the consequences, but we’re excited for the return of the guy who abandoned his family and people twice with no word!”

        Story like that?

They have quite the history of writing roles for their friends/current partners and then somehow having their applications, if they even bothered to submit them, approved the day the role is even posted on their site. Or the constant double standard of bending their supposed reroll restrictions depending on the person.

        They can’t stand that people who played at their sim wanted something different and weren’t in love with the story that the admin team at RoC wants to force their players to act out for them.

        RoC: The GoT sim with main character syndrome. At least Realms of Ice and Fire had their longevity to justify themselves.

I know three long-term players as well as two mods who left RoC because they couldn’t bear the thought of accepting legitimate in-character consequences for their actions, and instead chose to leave with their toys. What a shame it was for RoC to lose them, given that their only activity was to engage in roleplaying with each other and talk negatively about the rest of the community.

        1. Owen, Patrek, and Henry got their metaphorical panties in a wad about Aurion Redwyne. It was never particularly explained why they hate him, but their IC reasons basically came down to “he thought the same thing everyone else did based on information they got IC but he was wrong!!!” and a distinct helping of inexplicable OOC loathing.

        2. Owen threw a screaming fit in the middle of the throne room during an invasion, with Patrek alongside. After, of course, they got the king alone and demanded that Aurion be dismissed/punished because he used available information to make a decision that the king supported.

        3. Oop, turns out that maybe you don’t want to start a whining-screaming battle with a king known for his temperamental instability in the middle of an invasion, in front of most of his court.

        4. Henry Frey then decided to demand that the king come talk to him outside the city, in the middle of Henry Frey’s army, because Henry Frey didn’t feel safe for reasons unknown. When told to dismiss his army or come into the city alone under a promise of safe conduct, he refused.

        Does anyone think that any of these things done to a Henry VIII or the like would have gone unpunished? Much less in the hyperbolic world of ASOIAF? We’re talking about a place where the king sits on a throne made out of the swords of his family’s defeated enemies and there are dragons. If people don’t want violence, risk, drama, and hyperbole, perhaps they should fuck off to the sims where people play happy families and then end up on here anyways.

        If people don’t understand that risks come with taking chances for rewards, that’s their fault. Play smart IC, or be prepared for the consequences of your actions.

        The sim, RoC has neither ethics nor consideration for its players. Instead, they force their narrative. They gas light their players and expect them to suck it up without protest. To try to keep a dead horse moving that just wants to die in peace, let’s bring in more children that don’t fit with the story lines in play.         The players have presented over and over, there were problem players, who presented evidence and the problems remained and grew. Others worked their ass off for the ‘team’ and were spit on, looked down upon, and treated like they were nothing. There is no rewards to being an admin unless you’re in the inner circle.

        Lee the Drowned Dipshit God changes things when it suits him. It doesn’t matter what’s in play, it doesn’t matter if there are players actively working on stories. Their SR’s are ignored or they are fobbed off.

        Aegon the Pounce, just pushes pure asshole so much that he might as well be a bottle of bleach since as soon as he enters into things, everything gets flushed down the toilet. It doesn’t matter what’s going on, what he says goes.

        Rhaenor, tries hard with her builds but she doesn’t try for her players. Just the two above-named. They are all that matters to her at the end of the day. So keep paying her tier.

        Valena, Her toxic role play makes others feel unwanted and like crap why? Because she feels she can. And you wonder why so many people left. The reasons or rather all the above.

        There is no quality, there is no quantity. There are just people going, do I have to? Ugh. Oh let’s give people roles that have flushed their roles down. Let’s go back to all our words in the past.

      • You know, it’s really sad but unfortunately, this person is right. Back in the day, the Game of Thrones roleplay community in Second Life wasn’t perfect, but at least we made an effort to stand out by being fair. But now, it’s become a community that’s toxic and doesn’t even care about roleplaying. We just sit around in voice chats, waiting to be outraged about the status quo, often just so we can feel like we’re the status quo.

        Remember the community that kept ROIAF alive for TEN years, despite the toxic and sometimes sexist behavior of Black Goat? What about the people who were the first and only major RP community in Second Life that refused to do consent roleplay and managed to create hundreds of stories about overthrowing kings, fighting wars, and other conflicts? That’s why I, and many others, keep coming back to this community. But unfortunately, it seems like those are just memories that we can’t recreate anymore.

        Instead, we’re left with these pointless arguments that keep popping up every week. One side accuses the other of something baseless, and then the other side responds with more accusations. It’s really a shame that we’ve come to this

      But to watch the sim go down the path it went is just heartbreaking honestly. Watching the admins blatantly lie to players. They are collectively two-faced. And completely willingly ignorant of their own faults.

      Its because you (RoC Admins) are incapable of seeing your own mistakes, and taking a moment of critical self-analysis to even attempt to stem the hemorrhaging player numbers. And well, personally. I hope you all do come to one day figure out how to do that. But until that day. I, and so many others have voted with our very presence.

      • If you can’t see examples of whats wrong with RoC then you’re hopeless. Take a moment to connect the dots between the admins, their friends, and their characters and then wonder why they are the only ones who don’t have to deal with consequences.

      • Having RPed in SL for over a decade now, I have to say that in terms of dynamic content and response to players complaining about being bored, ROC has been one of the better ones (I am not an admin, just a player there).

        Frankly, a great many of the players who have deliberately left (rather than those who have just lost interest as happens in any sim) have been the ones that either complained the most about having nothing to do rather than creating stories for themselves, or brought a level of petulance to the OOC conversation that was unpleasant for everyone who wasn’t them.

        Quality over quantity, my dudes.

           Massalesi Wylde / Nahri: White Girl gatekeeping POC roles and blocking POC players from playing POC roles. Staff knew and got reports from players she’s harassed and ignored them.

        Rikki/Ooor/Aemma: Invited back after being banned for harassment. Actively ignored players unless they met with her point of view. Suckered up to admin until her sexual harassment and refusal to accept IC consequences went too far .

        Asher/Solomon/Lord Mormont: German POC. Targetted by Owen due to cultural differences. Repeatedly harassed a mod that one of the Admins had a problem with, with no penalty. Ironically: the same ‘day’ Owen forcibly hushed Asher in a group voice chat, ignoring the fact a good chunk of players loved his voice, Owen was invited to staff. Staff ignored Asher/Lord Mormont’s sexual harassment of those in his own house.

        Owen: Enough said. Add to the fire he attempted to ‘cancel’ some of the players including Asher because of his prior actions.

           Addictivedarksin: Abandons roles. Goes through multiple sims and genres to avoid ICA – ICC. Girl Behind Keyboard who makes a fetish of transgender/bisexual/gay RPers.

           The sim invites everyone back, which is great, but when the Head Admin of Lore either gets drunk or angry there’s massive edits to suit their whims. This includes the prior King who didn’t act as the Admin wanted.

           No admin is willing to take responsibility for actions, blaming others and vilifying others. This is done both in their Discord as well as general discussion

           A lot of people were trying to find the Meme posters, including when Nymora was called Nymphawhora and Nymora and Valena called out the poster in the discord to speak with them

           They didn’t. See retribution.

           Gonna call out the Northern group who left as toxic as well? This goes for all of you.

        All that being said, and this is mild:

        There’s enough for people to get justifiably weary and wary but people don’t say shit either due to retribution or people like you demanding answers

        Virtual Secrets is a gossip site allowing people to spill the tea. Anonymously. People do so out of either the freedom or safety of anonymity. If you’re such a self-pompous ass that you want people to openly fess up, I need you to re-read the VS weeks when Heldinheim was dragged (February 2022) and the massive blow up including the stalker builder.

      • I’m going to stop pretending I’m not seeing all these comments, but I’ll stand up a bit to defend myself. I’ve poured a year of my time (with pleasure) of RPing out this story in RoC. I applied for Valena with a full application and a backstory into which I also put a lot of thought and work. I was around for hours every day, probably more than I should have been to balance RPing and RL, when I was the Hand. I have a bit less time these days so I log in to stand in the skybox not to piss off anyone, but just because I don’t have time for a RP scene and can procrastinate (not a recommendation though) by bantering in IMs with others.

        I really do try to play a fair and engaging character who can sometimes be harsh, but DM me if you ever have any issues with what I’m doing. I’m here to have fun and entertain others, not to make anyone feel bad.

        I do thoroughly object to being called tacky, though. I have problems, but style is not one of them.

      • Anonymity can be a double-edged sword, as it may embolden others to speak lies without fear of accountability. However, it’s not a foolproof shield, Jetis. It’s not just the admins responsible for the problems in this community, but also the players who contribute to the toxic environment. Players like you. Many people leave these sims not out of compassion or a desire to fight injustice but because they were caught cheating and decided to blame the administration.

        For example, take you (Jetis Umia), who has been fixated on Dorne for years and applies as a Martell in every Game of Thrones sim. You will bend the truth to serve your own interests, contacting every Dornish player who enters the sim and pressuring them to support your agenda. If they don’t comply, you will make false accusations against them IC and remove them from the game. You also avoid ICC and even OOCly coached Dornish players to support you during your trial at RoC, but still failed. What about the time you OOCly invented a drought in Dorne to avoid IC consequences for not following the Faith’s edicts? It’s hard to take you seriously when you don’t understand the basic rules of roleplay.

        Other individuals in this community have their own issues. Lee is controlling and prone to reworking lore to the detriment of active players. Pounce is unpleasant and seemingly uncaring about anyone other than Valena. He might actually be a sociopath. Sandsnake is clumsy and talkative until someone challenges her, at which point she will stop at nothing to retaliate. Rhaenor is pleasant but sensitive to criticism of her ugly builds. Kae is a slut and prone to aggressive thought posts, and he believes he should be the king in his sim because nobody else can do it. He’s wrong. Praxi presents herself as virtuous but returns a build she was paid to create out of spite and to sabotage a rival sim. Finally, there is Daeron, whom you seem very fond of defending. However, he created a sim and funded it for months solely to play its king and refused to interact with anyone other than his wife. As a result, he was asked to step down, and the current king, at least, puts in some effort to maintain the role. I metagamed something important a month ago. Nobody noticed, but it has bothered me ever since.

        What I’m trying to say is that things are a bit more complicated than what you’re making them out to be. Both the admins and the players have their issues and make mistakes. I don’t believe anyone in the community is an inherently terrible person, but the way things are going is making it unpleasant for others. It’s important to acknowledge that we all have room for improvement and that our actions can affect the community as a whole. Let’s try to be mindful of our behavior and avoid being hypocritical, instead of ‘canceling’ each other for things we’re also responsible for.

        However, no one ever said anything about it being a problem at the time. The first that was heard (IC at least) about anyone else wanting the position or even thinking someone else should be in it, was when Aurion asked about it.

        Goes back to the issue of players bitching and moaning OOC about IC situations and doing absolutely nothing about it in roleplay.

      • You ever think given RoC removed Daeron from his role because he pulled, “either Valena or Me” given that she married Maekar without his permission, while punishing Viserys and removing him from play because he and Haera did the very same thing at the exact same time, that people might not want to have their characters forcibly retired for criticizing Valena’s absence or lack of presence outside her skybox?

        Whereas she was gone from the sim when Aurion showed up? The same Aurion who played the Mooton Hand who abandoned his role that necessitated Valena being made Hand in the first place?

        It’s like your player base actively saw OOC favoritism towards a player and didn’t want to be the next target.

        They’ve made a number of bad decisions that have led to a player exodus. The high quality that was there last year has evaporated. The story and the player management issues are ridiculous, the gaslighting to favor admin-involved stories was offensive. And ICA not having realistic (or any) ICC. I couldn’t believe it when they let the spybotting mod back in. Nah, it’s past its prime. Hopefully people will learn something but I sincerely doubt it.

Now, you might be thinking, “Stranger, why do I care about some roleplay sim drama?” Well, let me tell you, what’s happening in RoC is a microcosm of what’s happening in our community at large. The erosion of basic decency and the rise of pharisaism and hypocrisy.

      Let me set the stage for you. There’s been a lot of criticism directed at RoC lately, and for what? Some players claimed they were mistreated by the admins. But when you dig deeper, you realize that these are just a bunch of disgruntled players who can’t handle “losing” in a game where there’s no winning. They’ve taken to this website to make wild accusations, with no evidence to back them up. I’m curious, what exactly did RoC do to deserve all this negativity? For months, I’ve been reading about their toxic admins and terrible management, and how they lie, cheat, and ignore everyone. Can you give me some examples, names, or any tea on this? All I see on this subject are your baldfaced accusations, and you never provide any context or proof to substantiate them. If we’re going to throw out conjecture and present it as fact, let’s make it a two-way street. I’ll start by mentioning a crazy coincidence where Akira got banned from CoB the same day he found out that Kae was planning to usurp the King and confronted him about it IC. It makes me wonder, what’s really going on here? Maybe it’s a coincidence, maybe it’s not. But it doesn’t stop you all from making up stories and narratives and pushing them on here, so maybe that’s what the rest of us should do.

      But it’s not the regular players who are at fault here. There are some bad actors within the community who are causing chaos and division. Let’s talk about the people who are creating this live action skit. Take for example, Tosca, who spybotted an entire sim for months because he couldn’t handle losing IC. That’s not just unsportsmanlike, it’s downright creepy. Then there’s Renegade, who claims to defend players’ rights but had no issue asking admins to ban players he had IC conflict with. He asked for the Targaryen dragons to be nerfed just hours after being killed by one, short moments after he announced in the sim discord that he was going to apply for a revenge character. He stood by Owen when he told players to go kill themselves, and ignored Tosca’s spybotting. I could go on, but it seems pointless. This guy just posts random words at people, expecting them to not only know what he’s talking about, but to respond to his post about how he’s watching them cunningly from the other side of a crowded field. The hypocrisy is astounding. And let’s not forget Plumpy Bunny, who can’t seem to focus on anything other than chasing virtual love with a bunch of serial abusers on Second Life. She was in charge of player complaint tickets in RoC, but let them go unanswered for months while she pranced around talking about her pixel “ass” and RPing about the weather. What a joke. Then there’s Khytten, who seems to relish in bullying people off of Discord. That’s not being “blunt” or “outspoken”, that’s just being a bully.

      These are the types of people who are coming to this website to tell you where to RP and who to avoid. As a player at RoC, I am happy that you have moved on to other sims. As a player at CoB, not so much. If you are going to spread misinformation on this website, I will tell it all. And you won’t like it.

      Now, I know some of you might be thinking, “Stranger, why are you getting involved in this? It’s just a game.” But that’s the thing, my friends. This isn’t just about one sim. It’s about the larger trend of pharisaism and the erosion of basic decency. So, to all you roleplayers out there, I urge you to stand up to the bullies and bad actors in your community. Don’t let them silence you with their tactics. And to the admins of RoC and CoB I say this: don’t be intimidated by the mob. Stand up for what’s right, the people who are here for a good story, and don’t let the bad actors win.

      • Hiya. Tosca here and I am not hiding behind some fake identity.

        Since my name has been tossed about in these comments a few times lets set some things straight, I made a mistake one time and logged off and over a span of two hours a script spammed the sim. I never once saw a persons post out of range. I explained this to the ROC admins and took my ban with grace cause I knew I had fucked up wether I saw posts or not.

        I did not spybot for months. If I had, there was no way I would have been allowed back.

        After a few months, I petitioned the ROC staff to allow me back in and they allowed it with conditions I was happy to agree to and I abided by.

        I played through my character until his end and then went on a work trip for a month so I did not reroll.

        I am not out there talking shit about ROC. I don’t particularly care who rp’s where and what sim is better than the other sim.

        There wasnt some underhanded deal to let me back at ROC. I asked, I apologized and admitted where I was wrong, we made terms of my return, I came back and played through my character.

        Not everything is some crazy conspiracy.

    If the people with an avi like this roleplay as if the character is a child -> Ageplayer.
    If the people with an avi like this behave like an adult and just enjoy being cute, more nuance is needed; like what are the accessories? What’s the overall style supposed to be?

    Lolita is a style quite a few of real life adults have. Some people just love being cute and have cute stuff with them (like playful purses, charms on a bag, etc). Yes, the name of the style is very unfortunate, but the style itself has nothing to do with ageplay or pedophilia.

Because you need it.
