Using disability money to finance Second Life is a slap in the face to thosr who need disability benefits TO SURVIVE. The twins should be ashamed of themselves.
Who told you they use there whole disability on lindens? Because last I knew they barely upload lindens, they make enough with there stores that don’t need to now! Even before the store the most they have ever uploaded was a regular sized amount, not their whole damn disability check. They pay room and board, and things for there pets, they have other bills they pay, the most they put in lindens now is 50 DOLLARS! Sometimes non a month at all.
The twins get disability because their learning disabilities, Their government wouldn’t allow them disability if they DID NOT qualify for it. Also not everyone in SL needs to know they are on disability so quit with the private information.
If they are able to play SL, run businesses in SL, run a blog, etc etc etc they can get jobs and don’t need to collect federal disability for “learning disabilities.” They’re fucking lazy, don’t want to work, and just want to be on SL all day.
Doing things in SL where they can walk away when need too, take breaks as many days as need or whenever need at any time is not the same as holding down a job RL to make enough survive on. Jobs are not going to allow you to just call in any day need or leave anytime need, take breaks at any given moment. Among other things may need like medication etc. So no, it isn’t lazy, it’s reality. Nor do they make anything near survival on SL, they make their SL money and if uploading 20 bucks then not even that at times. You obviously do not know much about disability, types, restrictions or accommodations vs job industry.
Your just jealous you aren’t them. in SL its alot easier to do these things then in the real world.. in SL you don’t need to go through interviews. They are smart and have had interviews but can’t get the job because the questions that are asked in a interview are complicated and they don’t know how to answer them because the world in the sentence is to big or they haven’t heard the word before so they can’t answer that question and look bad. Sucks doesn’t it to have learning disabilities. Reason why when they were in high school THEY had to be put on an IEP. They’re not lazy or they would stay in bed all day and make their secondlifes busy. So stop being jealous of them for doing things you can’t. Everyone is on SL for a reason. It is straight up fucking bizarre that you are acting like these two grown ass adults in child avatars are actually children. Getting cursed at on voice is not that big a deal, for an adult. Violet is not a good person. She is very hostile. When the twins first where adopted, I overheard a conversation with Violet and Peyton and Ember saying if something don’t go Violets way, she will kick them out and that is exactly what she did to them. She talks about communication is the best way to fix issues, but then she don’t even communicate.

42 – I build and create things, but I also work all the time in RL. The only time I ever come on anymore is to build things, and buy things that I see that I like. I don’t think I have spoken to another person other then a customer in SL for almost a year. All the friends I had here left to go pursue other games. The only reason I stay is because I love building things, even though I don’t sell nearly as much as I use too. I have been here since the beginning. To answer your question though…. Spoke to a retired college lecturer once in sl and they said there’s definitely a critical thinking gap. On why the top companies left, I think they didn’t want to be associated with the large amount of explicit adult content. If you look at other games that do get sponsorship from top companies, they have heavy censorship. We’re lucky sl is lenient but thats the downside in this “woke” world.

I guess I can consider myself as one of the “professionals”.
The trouble with SL is it suffers the same issue with Twitter: the terminally online users who are usually like this:

They practically rule Twitter and clog the whole thing up with garbage. Login to Twitter now, and you can see it occur in real time. It’s not any different with SL.
What makes things even worse is SL exists in a timewarp since most of the terminally online users are always around. 4 days spent not online pulling overtime on a time-sensitive project for work is as good as 4 weeks’ worth of absence, and those terminally online people can easily forget me after I return. Normal people don’t behave like this.
For the above reasons, I don’t go to public spots any longer and keep my presence at home or to a select few venues where the crazies don’t frequent. Us sane people are still around, only not so visible anymore
#42 I left when it became apparent that the drama even extended to big SL events. As a professional, I had a lot to offer but sadly left when the drama got the best of SL. Even a huge event coming up mid-April through early May (you know which one). It’s all so toxic that normal people who were there to make connections can no longer be there. Those who are still in SL and aren’t crazy just haven’t had that moment yet. It’s not what it used to be and never will be again. I really do hope that all those still in SL who aren’t crazy find good friendships and relationships, but I’m afraid it’ll all be for nothing when the drama crowd steps in. The crazies are slowly but surely driving sane people out and it’ll soon be reduced even further to nothing more than small cliques looking for their next drama battle.

The fact you are acting like violet only ever superficially cared for them to use as blog props says you’re very opinionated on all of this. In fact the therapy part of your argument only gives me even more respect for her. She wasn’t pointing out flaws and then throwing them away, she literally tried to help them reach their root issues and improve as people. Literally this ^ You explained the situation PERFECTLY. I have known both the twins and Violet since they were very first adopted. Not only did they bombard violet and ember with questions about “do you love us equally” for months and months, but they let their disabilities run rampant and used them as an excuse constantly. So yes, violet continuously gave them chances, and cut them off when they continued to be toxic. The final break was because the twins messaged ember, NOT TO FIX A FRIENDSHIP, but to ask about Violet. They lie. They manipulate, and play wounded lamb. They forced violet out of SL because they would make accounts to contact her. Constantly. They were trying to FORCE her into friendship with them. Noone should have to deal with that. People have a right to not be friends with someone. They shouldn’t have to be forced. Also the bit about them PAYING for Violets housing? Yeah they forced that on her too. She didn’t ask for that. They pushed that on her. Like they do with everything else. They only care about themselves. But “Be less ignorant, please”, you described it pretty on the nose.
What is so wrong with asking reassurance if someone loves someone equally especially when they have had that with their first SL mom causing them to being afraid of it happening all over again. They were traumatized by that and it held on to them so they asked some reassurance, so what?
It’s becoming extremely obvious to me that these women who are playing children in SL have no understanding of the difference between role play relationships and real ones. Whatever damage they have, whatever it is they’re seeking in SL, it’s still not anyone else’s responsibility to provide it for them. Creating alts to pursue someone when they’ve blocked access on their main accounts is literally harassment, no matter what childish justification they use for it. Whoever is responsible for these women in real life has dropped the ball, and if they don’t actually have someone who is mentally competent taking care of them, they should. They don’t need SL parents; they need rl supervision.

We rarely have lag when we go there, only maybe a little when a live singer packs the place. It’s a pity when a place does well because it is run well and by owners who seem to really care about their staff and vips that other places must do their best to ruin things and just from jealousy. The staff and owners of Kickin Boots have never been anything but nice and welcoming to us and answer any questions or concerns we have very promptly and nicely. Another thing is if there are alts there then they sure do carry on a lot of conversation. Go to the other clubs and see the alts who never speak and look like noobies no matter their age and you’ll learn what a real alt is.

4. Basic College guy, you know who you are. you don’t really come for anything other than the meat up parties.
If you fall into these categories then Roleplay at Woodcrest is AWESOME because you don’t actually have to be creative. If you are creative… there is just no place for you kind.
None of that seems true to me. I’ve never even seen one bike rezzed there, so how could there be bikers at all? As far as the RPers, they all seem fun and unique to me. Maybe you make dull, lifeless characters? No one bases their personality on someone else, not there, not anywhere, that is a ridiculous generalization to make.
Uhm, you do read profiles right? And I assume you have seen the bikes riding around sim and if you haven’t you probably A.) Don’t come to sim, B.) Have your sound off because the bikes/or terrible music are LOUD, or C.) You’re making a sad attempt to make a bad sim look good.
Lots of people base their personalities on their partners likes/dislikes. (read profiles they change like leaves in the autumn). Generalization? Nope you can look at profiles and READ exactly who they are… so its not generalizing, its outright fact. Take a look yourself. And before you try to drop that mic, make sure it is plugged in or the only one who will hear it is you.

Woodcrest has like 15 people who have a bunch of alts on speedlight. I’ve been approached for sex so many times, no one has pushed the college itself. It’s all cheer practice and hooking up. Even a party life would be college fun but it’s just the same dry come ons, the same “I’m not like the other guys”, DAM this, DOE that, stale PI… “we run this school” sad rp that no one but a few people are allowed to join. I had a few friends that had stores in SL and a RL job and family and would create things for SL and have at least a New item once a month or two. Plus not just anyone could blog. When all these stay at home people swarmed in.. They can dedicate all their time and could produce more… But they are all takers because they need the extra money for RL… But those that don’t need the money never pulled it out of the game re invested. We would support clubs, DJs and performers.
SL went to from a fun social place to a consumer game.

I would agree with you but!!!!.. It has changed. SL now is a Dating Game or a Consumer Game.. It lost it’s roots from RP. Back from 2006 to 2013 People didn’t care about the person behind the avatar, they took you for what you brought into the game. Now everyone needs to know you and I don’t care to share my RL information and if I don’t then I am outcasted, called an ALT, and other things.
I wouldn’t say it’s because of the stay-at-home people, as it was happening long before 2019 stuck the virtual world.
Honesly, I think it’s mostly because people grew up, got the full-time jobs, families and etc and they simply don’t have time for it anymore, and the younger generation is only yet to go through it, obviously they will have more time and OBVIOUSLY they will act like youngsters.
Though, the content creators who once were making stuff for SL just outgrew it and went into a serious game development where the projects are up to date with current technologies, people shall thank a poor LL management for that guess.
The only reason why SL has always been free to use is because it’s built with OpenGL, an open source framework. If they rebuilt it in a “current” one, they would have to pay to license that engine, and that cost would be passed down to residents in the form of fees to access. We would probably also lose everything we own due to compatibility issues as well. No one wants to pay for a basic account, or to lose their inventories, so I don’t think we can really blame LL’s “management” for the outdated tech.
It depends where you hang out. When you go to the drama filled sex clubs, this is what you are going to get. Explore SL more. Chat up people with interesting profiles and avies.
