  5. # 4 – I’m always confused by people who say that SL is boring or there’s nothing to do. All you have to do is LOOK. Go on one of Mad Pea’s adventures, join a horseback riding group, go to open mic poetry, take a class (a very good way to meet people). SL is teeming with things to do but you have to be willing to put yourself out there and get involved. You have to reach out, do YOUR part to get involved.

  6. #4 Many of us have great friendships here in SL. I, myself, work from home and have the freedom be in SL while I work.

    Also, there’s still SO much to do.
    Live music, Karaoke, DJs, ABC and other breedables, farming. The auctions are always fun & a great way to meet people. I’m not religious, but I know many people attend church in SL & have great friendships from there. Book clubs, etc. There’s PLENTY of ways to meet people.

There are a lot of animals that pass diseases to humans but humans are a surprisingly dirty species themselves. Some don’t even understand how viruses spread.

    #23 The reason for this is the main events are getting less traffic the past few years. If you notice on opening day to even a few days after so many of once popular events are dead. So the creators are not making sales. They arent even making booth fees back. which depending on events can be thousands of L$. So its not worth it anymore. The weekend sales are booming! All of them are bring so many people in to the point that a 75L$ item can see sales of 10k plus. And thats with a smaller brand. So imagine what a big name brand will make.

  29. #31 Uh…teegle holds off doing frequent updates because it takes some intense scripting wizardry to make them happen and it’s better for everyone and easier to just have a few large updates a few times a year. Also, most issues are user error and failure to read the very well detailed instructions.

The club is always empty now and when there are workers there, they can barely form a sentence which turns me off. I never met the owner of Syndicate, dont even know who she is, she was never there. I just tried this new club Hotties, but that is the old Bishes. The owner is the alt of the old bishes owner, juicy. she sells rl videos and pics of some internet model and says its her.     • There are some girls there at Syndicate that they REALLY deserve the money they get, they are like diamonds in the middle of a desert full of shinny rocks…but you got to be lucky to find them on their time, but they worth any L$ I spent with them.

      they also have ridiculous application and exclusivity requirements anymore, so if you do get lucky and land an interview, you end up stuck at one dead club or another, unable to also work somewhere else that might get you better traffic at its own specific peak times

Looking at bot data that track attachments, yes Maitreya is above legacy, but it’s also way outdated Maitreya versions, if those people are not updating their body to the newest version are they spending money on new stuff? Legacy is right behind Maitreya in terms of being worn. Reborn and co are a few pages behind that. That being said I like Reborn, I use it. But I’m not seeing the big creators dropping legacy anytime soon.

        Keystone pipeline is extremely hazardous to the American environment, especially farmland and aquifers. That’s important, whether you give a shit or not. It’s not moving clean oil, dumbass. The pipeline is to transport 830,000 barrels of Alberta (Canada) TAR SANDS OIL per day to refineries on the Gulf Coast of Texas. That’s dirty dirty oil. Lots and lots of dirty dirty oil. From there the tar sands oil would be sent overseas — NOT to American gas pumps. So in essence we destroy our own environment for the profits Americans will never see. Both TC Energy and the State Dept have said the majority of those jobs you mention would be TEMPORARY, just to build the pipeline. The company (TC Energy) would need only 50 employees to maintain the Keystone once it’s finished, approx 35 of them permanent. And these employees would come out of Canada.

    • How many people even use group chats that pimp out multiple stores anyway? I ignore them. If I want to look for new releases I go to Flickr or Seraphim. I never use group chat to search for new stuff.

    • Honestly, I feel the change as well since the group closed. They got over 340k people it is the only group on sl with so many people and a good part of it are live accounts, I mean those that have notifications on and log in sl often.
      From my experience even notifications with freebies made me sales, no other group brought me, customers, at freebies lol. I have the notification off cause as a creator I don’t need them but people stayed in the group to be able to see what’s new for the head without swimming in the notifications about clothes, poses etc.
      All other head brands have a group to post the new releases. Making a new one not going to build up even half of the same amount of live accounts, cause they join mostly at freebie giveaways and when buying the head at Lelutka store.

    • Same. Good designers don’t need to spam group chat. They have Flickr and Seraphim and a customer base that knows everything they put out is of good quality. It’s the ones with questionable quality that feel compelled to spam. I used to enjoy Fab Free and SLF&O group chat, but there’s so much template crap being spammed in there now, I just ignore them.

    Not sure if this question is allowed, but as a creator who loves to shop other creators, I also think we should start selling fatpacks cheaper and only as fatpacks! some of my favorite creators Doux and Belzebubbledoes do this on Marketplace, and if customers love it so do I!

    I won’t lie most creators follow a trend! Selling everything individually and high-priced fatpacks. Me included when you ask questions on forums you’re called suspicious!

    • We like both singles and FPs. Sometimes we only want the single color but often if the FP isnt damn 1k we may opt buy it anyways. The prices are absolutely horrid these days hence alot complain sales are dropping.

      • I get that, I sell my singles for around 200 and fatpacks no matter how much for 1099. This feedback means everything! And from my end at least things will change!

      • 1k is actually a perfectly reasonable price for an all-body fatpack with a decent number of options, but a lot of people are much worse than that. Personally I’m really liking the single body fatpack options, and really hope more creators start offering those.

    • I have mixed feelings about only offering fatpacks per body. If I only have 250L to spend, and I don’t need 281 colors that I’ll never wear, I’ll pass up that item if it’s only in a fatpack, no matter how well made the product is. Even when I do buy fatpacks, there are simply a lot of colors I will NEVER wear (winter white, brown, or neon colors for example). You’ve lost a sale if I don’t want to spend 1500L for colors I can’t use.

      There’s a certain hair designer that does gorgeous hair, but they put all of the most interesting style variants in their extremely expensive fatpack. No other hair store in SL charges 1000L for a fatpack of hair (that I know of anyway). The base pack only includes one style. It’s not worth its price either.

      I also don’t like single body fatpacks because I have multiple bodies. I can’t afford to buy multiple body fatpacks. I’m certain I’m not the only one in that boat.

      • Extreme tightness means anything in the kink community. It’s an overall term that references many things, like clothing for example: corsets, latex is a big one. Mindfucking (mental torture/corruption) is a huge kink, and trust me I do it with grown ass men a lot (WITH consent). Coercion is also a big one for grown ass men—they like coerced bi/gay and forced bi/gay (WITH consent. See a pattern here?). Size differences don’t mean pedophilia—see: BBC/small white women, or giantess fantasies, or size queens. Age difference is not the same as age play, it means having a big age gap (could be 30 vs 50). On F-List there’s a LITERAL category call “Ageplay” to choose. There’s something called consensual non-consent (CNC) and instead of bashing people for liking it, just say it’s not a kink of yours. Just because they have a big list of kinks/fetishes, doesn’t mean you can cherry-pick a few and make assumptions based on a handful. I can be on sl all day and not be bored, and not necessarily standing on a platform…i mean sometimes I am bcs inventory sorting is a thing. but still… if your’re bored on sl, I’m sorry to say it but… that’s your own fault hun. you can fix it.

    • There is truth to some of this. Aliton really isn’t that liked in the roleplay community and I’m one of the many women who have received unsolicited dick pics from him.       • As an old friend of Aliton, I do believe he has changed over the years and no longer condones this sort of behaviour. While he and I may no longer be friends, I have observed personal growth through him from those who are mutuals and I can assure you he doesn’t use the people for clout or attention.

        Everyone changes. It can take months, it can take years. Sometimes for the better or sometimes for the worse. It’s not always a quick thing. He’s better than being described by people, and while even I had dealt with something similar in the past, he has since dealt with it accordingly.

      I’ll be honest, I don’t think that this was Math. I think this was someone using the drama caused by Math to cling on to it and try and bring up beef they have, without ousting themselves.

For instance, I have never heard someone induced into a coma for depression (not saying it saying it can’t be done or isn’t) but from my understanding, induced comas or normally for brain injuries, burns, head traumas, drug withdrawal.

People up the anti when their typical behavior doesn’t get them the response they want. It’s easy to point the finger at someone who said something mean to or about them once, than it is to admit they’re drama queens who get themselves in trouble by being idiots, or get whatever mental help they probably need. In some cases, they give too much real info to people and it comes back to bite them in the ass. In others, they get caught up in lies.

      Call me jaded if you want, but I’ve been here since 2006. I’ve seen bullying on all levels. Not one single instance, where the claims got to the level described here, which I have seen several times, has ever been true, not one.         I didn’t defend Be Less at all, what I did was call out the creator of the secret for doing the same stupid shit I’ve seen so many others do in sl. There’s been an uptick in people having such outlandish stories about illnesses, breakdowns, hospitalizations and even deaths related to others just being mean lately. Sometimes it works for them, I guess and gets them the attention they seek. I literally saw someone describe that exact same scenario in the secret, except the person involved tried to take their own life twice, the second time it worked, and it was a guy. Exact same scenario, almost word for word, not even two months ago. So I am to believe this has happened almost identically, to two different people in sl, in less than a year?

      • It doesn’t matter, they’re dogs with a bone now lol; this stuff is usually just funny, but it’s actually overwhelmingly pitiful now. You can tell how many people were actually dying for this opportunity, desperate to feel like they “got” me somehow. I’m not sure why they don’t understand that they’re nothing to me, just like I should be to them, no matter how many time I’ve said it. I guess I always give grown adults too much credit for basic comprehension, even though it sounds like I don’t.

      • I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. I have watched BE’s narcissistic comments for a while now without commenting. He or she feels superior intellectuallt to all of us, aka Narcissism, Anti-Social Personality Disorder. He or she has zero remorse, empathy, compassion and feels that because the comments are from or about “strangers” they do not matter. BE is a cyber bully and does not have the ability to feel compassion for others. It is actually rather pathetic that he or she thrives on this site and the gossip and rumors spread here.     • Regarding 10- I’m not sure it’s made up, but that person’s wording sounds just like someone who came after me here regarding the Salem split not too long ago. They accused me of being “horribly insulting” when I said the creator who decided there needed to be an instant store closing without any chance for their thousands of customers to make any final purchases was childish and had poor business sense, and that no one else should partner with them until they grow up unless they want to face the same type of situation. Certainly nothing “horrifying” as accused, just the usual truth people don’t like to hear.

      The thing is, both of those creators have their own stores now- Aloe and Oracle- that are quite active in recent events. It seems unlikely that either of them could be suffering mentally to the point of being institutionalized while having such active stores. But there are enough people here that get mad over my opinions to just run with it regardless of having zero proof, so I’m sure you’ll get accused of being a terrible person with no empathy too for even questioning it. People believe what they want to believe; whatever reinforces their biases.

    • Pro tip- under Graphics > Rendering, you can uncheck “attached light sources” and never see another face/body light. They are awfully stupid and outdated, but the people complaining about them really need to learn to use SL.
