That is her role in Cedar. Lucy has caused Cedar to decline to the laughingstock of family roleplay communities. To add insult to injury she voted for herself to win the hero trophy in a recent event. She is an embarrassment.

    • I have to ask… what exactly do you think that apostrophe in “see’s” is doing? Just curious. Does “see” own something? Would “see is” fit in that spot? Because those are the only times you need an apostrophe. You should ask yourself those questions every time you start to use one- is this possession, or a contraction? If not, DON’T (contraction of do and not).

      You will never need an apostrophe with a verb like “see”. Plurals also never require them, for the record. For fuck’s sake (the sake belongs to the fuck)- read a book once in awhile.

    Photographers sometimes get in a creative rut, and working with different people can help push past that. It doesn’t mean they’re fucking. Personally, I set up the shot, take it, let the other person take theirs if they want, tear it all down, say thank you, maybe chit chat for few minutes, and move on. As does nearly everyone I’ve worked with.

    OMG YES! T-Rex arms are a terrible thing, more prevalent amongst men than women (women seem lean towards impossibly long legs.) Put your avi in a pose stand, arms at the sides. The heels of your hands ( the point where your where your hands come off your wrists) should be at, or just below, your hip joint. If not, YOUR ARMS ARE TOO DAMN SHORT BARNEY!

    • You are so right about the legs in SL; I’m not sure where “long legs = sexy” turned into “the longer the better” but bitches are seriously running around on stilts. The hips are the midpoint of the body, people; human legs are no longer than the top half of your body. The illusion of having longer legs in rl comes from thinness and wearing high heels that visually add the length of the foot to the shin. But SL bitches are making their legs twice as long as their torsos AND wearing super high heels. Literal freakshow material; “Come see the amazing spider-legged woman!”

    • 13 I agree that it’s not always, possibly not even usually, about sex. This sounds like someone who’s either Puritanical in their hatred of anyone having sex in SL, or someone who desperately wants to but can’t find anyone to either have sex with and/or take pictures with. I know when I’m taking a spicy pic, 99% of my brain is preoccupied with lighting, pose perfecting, angle, environment, backdrop, etc. There’s a tiny bit of my lizard brain that says “ooh, boobs!” but there is definitely no sexy rp going on during that time. And the people who usually have that in their profiles are not people who just snap screen shots of sex in various places, although those people do exist (and spam the Flickr groups with dozens of their awful photos).

  14. #18 It’s good that mocap animations are becoming the new standard. I prefer having realistic proportions close to my own. And even those are not always supported by mocap animations, having rather long arms. But yeah, people on SL generally are not good when it comes to proportions and knowing the ratio of anatomy.

    #20 As somebody who works with textures… I don’t really see how a texture split in the middle for asymmetry support would cause a loss in texture quality? Especially if you apply the texture via BOM it will always get reduced to 512×512, so it’s way more effective to have two 512p textures rather than one texture that gets reduced… And it’s way easier to work with a texture that is split in the middle rather whatever bs LL did with the LLUV. If you want to create some complex pattern on the body… yeah, that’s gonna be a pain in the butt, especially when you’re making the pattern look like fur or feathers.
    And with makeup layers, that’s exactly the reason why I always set my makeup layers to Alpha Masking, not Blending. Though I prefer thick layers. And everything that’s supposed to be a thin layer gets a BOM skin. If you can’t make it yourself you can always commission a skin creator or download GIMP and learn how to do it by using the provided UV template – Creating textures is not as hard as some people love to make it look.

    • This is incorrect. The Bake Service was updated to support 1024×1024 resolution textures.

    • If #20 is about the new August Katy head, like I’m assuming it is, the way the UV is laid out gives you a much, much smaller space to work with than if they had just done the typical/standard one half of the head. It has both halves of the head on it, as well as the ears and all of the fluff on top. So yeah, for some people it is going to mean a loss of detail.

      Also kind of amusing that this was posted before the head got released to the public (Jan 02), so someone who had early access would have made this post.

    • BOM only reduces to 1024 via update and a skin isn’t that easy to make. It does take work, learning curve and time. Theory is easy but quality results are not.

      • I don’t know her or follow her, but as an observer… why is it a problem that someone is open and honest about who they will or will not work with? Personally, I think it’s great she puts that disclaimer out there so people know up front. The fact that she has it in her profile (assuming her sl profile?) and expects someone on Flickr to have seen that, is a bit silly on her part.

      • Boundaries are healthy and mature. Understanding that the majority of people don’t read your about section or profile, so you’re either going to have to respond to them, or not see it like the most exhausting thing in the world and have to share it with everyone every day, and just ignore them and delete and move on with your life like everyone else. There’s a difference. Everything is made into the most dramatic thing ever.

She’s quite friendly and the reason she has the note– on her Flickr account, where she then receives the DMs, to this point — is because people would ask to collab and then push her other boundaries and try and make it sexual. So she only does collabs with friends and put that on there in an attempt to dissuade non-friends.
        Anyways, don’t think that’s a brag. Some people on their SL profile say “don’t IM me for sex” because that’s a lot of the IMs they get. People not reading is not on the person who put the note. It’s on the people who didn’t read the note.

She sounds egocentric, dramatic and someone to ignore unless you enjoy reading a childish immature adult pretending to be cool, looking and starting fights with people, if the people she complains about even exist.       • Literally everyone gets hit up for sex in SL, no matter what they look like or what their profile says, because horny dudes who log in with their dicks in their hands don’t read profiles and only look long enough to verify the presence of tits before they shoot their shot (if that). I was in his club as his set and he was in my IM THEN he dedicated a song to I guess who is his girl that I’ve read here, Zara. Then I told a friend about him and she showed me this thread. And wow the things he was saying to me is exactly what I read on the previous threads about him. He is a smooth talker and as hard it is to admit he seemed sweet and sincere and I probably would have continued to talk to him had he not sent the song out and then my friend showed me this. I feel dumb but I’m glad I found out before I got too involved so I see how the women who did get pulled in would be embarrassed to tell or show any conversations.     It seems you might be going off of some miss guided facts here. Though that is to be expected from someone who believes that everyone who sits in a discord that they are not apart of or is not currently in chat with is talking shit.
    So let me lay down a truth bomb for ya, and I’ll make this simple so that you and everyone else can understand.
    When it comes to talking shit, everyone does it, its a fact of life. But any shit that is spoken is more than likely in the pretense of a joke or busting each others balls. Though I personally had some reservations about CV when it first opened due to my personal past with some of the owners & management staff, I personally will say that I am more than surprised and very appreciative of what they have built, and as someone who can act like a decent human for more than 5 mins, I put my past transgressions aside and let the past be the past and actually support what CV has become and wishes to become.
    Trolling. Ahh this is my favorite topic that people love to personally attack me for. While yes I am a shit head and I do enjoy the Roleplay of doing some off the wall stuff, and sometimes in a trollish manner, but if you ever cared to pay attention. Those RP’s where directed at specific people unless the underlying purpose of that RP is to further anther area of the RP. I personally have done this since the days of Cedar Creek, when CC still had decent RP. But further more to the point of RP in general, when I do RP, I RP well and I RP to further story lines as well as to have general fun.
    Now to my favorite part. Paying rent for a quiet place. You know Secondlife offers us these amazing things called parcels, and these parcels we have settings that allow us to block out what is going on in the sims around us, its an amazing feature and honestly a feat of coding and engineering if I do say so myself. But you are forgetting one key thing, you opted to rent your home on a ROLEPLAY community, a community where there is things going on at most times of the day, and that means people, noise, vehicles, objects, ect. So if you wanted quiet why did you decide to rent at an RP sim? But to think that we are here and not paying rent? That’s a funny notion.

    To end my blurb, I will say 1 simple thing.
    You are taking to this forum to complain or to bash those of us who like to have fun, but Im willing to be you are one of those whom think that everything that happens in a community needs to cater to you, what you want, what you deserve, and that is great! Good on you. I applaud your ability to be selfish and entitled!

    Note: Since I’m sure its going to come up on the reply’s of this post. I did not comment on Mike & Emmy as I do not know the in’s and outs of their relationship. Though admittedly I may of said a thing or two in earnest about Emmy in the past, I am only human and can admit when I’ve done or said something, but like an adult I can also move past transgressions that took place long ago.
