There used to be phenomenal places to RP but sadly the admin / moderator roles have gone to not only the wrong kind of people, but people who get some sort of complex. Cedar Creek is fun, but there’s no place to rent and it could do with a facelift as well.

Because of this, she became a SL celebrity so much now that she works for LL. Her time is through, I agree. If SL could highlight somebody that isn’t a friend of a mole or a moderator or has nothing to do with the LL team – just spotlighted a person who was a hard worker doing their thing on their own very well and made an impact on SL that would definitely bring up morale for SL. Will they do it? I doubt it highly. Why would they ever really listen to us let alone spotlight someone that isn’t a friend of a mole or a LL employee / contractor.

  16. Not sure why #1 is getting hate. For some people, SL isn’t healthy for their personalities, and hearing a story about someone who is doing better without it is nice to see. And you have to admit, there’s a lot of people on here that let SL get to them too much, or a lot of us wouldn’t be on this website. Some self awareness is okay. And a success story of moving on from something that didn’t help you is great. Show people that you’re still interested in what they have to offer and their time won’t be wasted on rigging and adjusting for maitreya still. At worst they’ll say no, at best you might actually see more maitreya releases.

    #46- Of course they’re going to promote her stuff regularly, she works for them. It’s not favoritism, it’s marketing. Again, if you want that to change, show LL that you’re interested in seeing more community content being featured and they might just do it.

    • Spider Productions- when I first started SL, he was the go-to guy for spiky leather biker gear and random neat gadgets. I thought he fell off the grid because I heard nothing for years, but after I saw Peach and looked at his Flickr, it appears he had turned his attention to furry mods and it made sense I didn’t hear about any of it. I was actually interested in the body at first, because I like that the ass doesn’t angle up by default in defiance of nature and gravity, but everything else about it is ugly. I have no idea why bad implant tits are a thing anyone wants. I’ll consider it a better alternative to Kupra, purely for that slight nod to realism, but as the posts this week show it’s barely different.

      • It really is barely different. I put on a few of my kupra outfits. They fit pretty well. Aside from the breast popping out the side, which im unable to fix. But i could alpha out my body a fair amount and have it fit kupra outfits. But, i wasn’t wanting to use the breasts of the peach, just the ass. So I’m using the SB&Bork mounds with it. Doesn’t fit it seamlessly, but I’ve made do on it and like the look i’ve gotten. Just have to use oversized clothing for it XD

      • Oh I 100% agree. Kupra is trash and the angle of the ass doesn’t really make Peach much better, but it does at least have that, was my point. They both have extremely ugly implant looking boobs, but at least Peach ass doesn’t look like like it was inflated with helium.

    Long read ahead, but it does need to be said and people really need to know.
    Happened 6 months ago or so.

    I met one of the staff by just hanging out on the sim, and he started to flirt rather quickly. Right of the bat, I told them that I wasn’t looking for anything, and that if.. anything would happen I’d like to take my time.

    But you know how is it right? If you are ever feeling down IRL, and are in a shitty situation.. any kind of “sweet attention” feels right, and you do kinda hold on that edge. And we became close, and started dating.

    Thanks to that person, I’ve met the other members of the staff who were pretty friendly and all of them agreed that I should join the staff. So I did an app.

    The owner, always had something negative to say about me. A kind of passive aggressive attitude just because she’s a creator and does feel empowered by it. She didn’t liked what was on my profile, so she asked me to.. basically rewrite everything (while the others members of the staff had far worse). And NOTHING was always right with her.

    To help her and her brand, I’ve suggested to create a twitter account, and also an useful notecard for one of her product that is displayed on her sim (that has a lot of customer asking informations about), along with a fer other suggestions, but she declined saying that she was focusing on Flickr and that they didn’t needed that while also complaining about my attitude to the person I was dating (who defender her, by saying that my attitude wasn’t ok).

    She made a drama about anything I had to say, and pretty much gave up trying to make things better between her. The person I was dating, was very close to her, and he was always defending her even when she was wrong.
    He also was always telling me to not say THIS or THAT, because that could make her angry.

    In between this situation, some people on my friend-list warned me several times about working for them, because they had this tendency of treating people badly, abusing them, and that is wasn’t a coincidence if they had problems with a lot of people.

    The problems really started when the person I was dating at that time, asked me why I changed my name on SL, and why I had “shut” my flickr, when we were hanging out. It was so suddent, and unexpected and I felt as if they were trying to doxx me.

    When I told him that I was scared, he told me that it was to “prevent” issues with people. Because they had a lot of problems in the past, and that is why when LL presented the “name change” feature, they downloaded a whole database of names and theirs UUIDS to check theirs old names.     They also had this kind of weird behavior of making fun of people and theirs avatar on the discord server they were in, and monitoring with a bot who was leaving and entering the sim, which in my opinion was total paranoia and weird (The bot displaying the name, and UUID).

    When they had the occasion of throwing me away, they did.
    All of them, the owner of that store, and the person I was dating. Almost like a sort of setup.

    A few weeks after, I’ve learned that they’ve opened a twitter account, and were passing around to customers the Notecard I’ve made for the product.

    Some people that I do know, tried to do an app to joint theirs staff as well, but they never gotten a response back. And the reason for that, is basically because they aren’t useful at all, at least in the eyes of the owner.

    The owner of that store, already knew that I’ve worked in the past as a blogger, for creators and big events. She also did knew that IRL I was in the marketing field, but got irritated when she understood that she couldn’t take advantage of me for her shady business.

    A bunch of narcissistic people that do love to treat badly people, pretending to be friendly when they aren’t, and will gaslight you when you do point out that what they’re doing isn’t ok.

I’m not sure if Lara does!

      • its perfectly legal to figure out the rigging without the kit. which is all the bootleg is. Someone back rigged and figured it out then passed it around as getting a kit isnt being rejected she just isnt very on top of answering. Probably due to how many creators already she isnt pressed to add new for sales

I have every body kit besides maitreya at this point and was told to bug them inworld until they give me the kit. Creators shouldn’t be expecting to crawl on hands and knees and beg to get a kit. I simply decided I will never rig for maitreya period. Its only as popular as it is because of its age, but it’s time to let it die.

      • Its age and how cheap it is*, definitely. Back when Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya were the only good options (Altamura and Tonic were never good options) it was the cheapest body you could get with any support. That’s the entire basis of its market share, and that is steadily dwindling.

    • I hope you can get their dev kit and make for the body if that’s what you wish to do. I personally still love my Maitreya body for certain looks, and I have other bodies for other looks too. People still use it to this day, so it wouldn’t be a waste of time to make more stuff for it.

    • People forget that its not just the creators at ‘fault’ for choosing not to support a certain body, but that the body creators also need to approve and often have very strict or difficult hoops to jump through in order to gain access to their devkits and legally profit off of rigs for their body.

  58. 24- In order to make content for MAZE thighs you need the dev kit. Easy enough. Buy the thighs, join the Discord – get the dev kit.
    BUT – In order to make content for MAZE thighs rigged for Maitreya or Legacy you need those body dev kits. Maitreya and Legacy are very tight with their acceptance of designers for dev kits. You need BOTH the MAZE and the BODY kits to produce/rig content for them.

    The reason you see so much more content for Reborn and Kupra is because they are more relaxed on dev kit distribution. Its not a war against Maitreya and Legacy, but its their fault you don’t see the content you want.

    When those brands accept more designers for dev kits you will get more content for those bodies, but until then – you will only see more and more support for the other bodies. The bodies who support creativity.

    Look at the MaleDiction Dad belly mod. He did everything possible to get approval from Legacy in order to release a rig kit. They put gave him so many hoops to jump through in order for them to consider it. Then at the end of the day – they said “no”.

    To me it feel’s like brands like Legacy are scared and trying to hide something. If there is nothing to hide, and nothing to be threatened by – why keep the dev list closed? Why keep the mods acceptance closed?

    • Legacy won’t give him a kit because legacy doesn’t want body parts made for their bodies. It’s as simple as that.

Lara is left out of most Maze creations, but since Maitreya looks like shit when you try to make it thicc- it really does, OP of the post, anyone who tells you otherwise is just being nice- it’s probably not good to encourage people to push those sliders further than intended by the body’s creator.

      • As long as you don’t make it ~too~ thick it’ll look ok. Once you go past a certain point, yes, you’re correct the Maitreya will look bad. Overall as a body, it’s perfect fine for people who want that type of style. Though with Legacy and others you can still get a nice slim look and often times better as well.

      • They were originally released for Reborn only, and any other bodies that have them were added by request.

    • Literally every maze garter I’ve bought that had a legacy rig had a kupra/reborn/maitreya sized rig, too. But uh, Legacy is just better Maitreya anyways, so…. Consider upgrading! If you want to be ‘thick’ then you shouldn’t be using Maitryea anwyays. Its not designed for it, and it looks bad. That’s just my opinion though! I can’t go back to maiteya, personally. It looks like trash to me. Doesn’t compare to the current quality of the mesh body market IMO. But to each their own.

Why LL still have her around ? Noone even take her posts seriously and the people she showcases. She doesn’t showcase the real talents!! There are so many talented people out there , I have never seen ONCE at her posts. She is the worst Linden ever been around in all these years I am in SL! I am not surprised though, she was begging for this position for years and years …. time to get off from it and LL, finally have people who would do the job as it should be done. Oh, and I am not even one of those “photographers” , I am just a person who reads Community feed and news because I like to be INFORMED!

    • Oh she’s as useless as tits on a bull, she even had a lab gab that had a guest that did peoples avi’s for them and sharing accounts is against TOS, LL had to edit the video after it got reported because she didn’t even know her own fucking guests “business” was breaking TOS.
      She gives nothing to LL she was only hired because she had a social media presence at the time but think she lost some of that as soon as she became a linden.
      Never ever got why she was hired int he first place she’s useless for what she was even hired for. LL need to can her in the next round of layoff for cutbacks IMO.

      • well they edited the whole segment out and it was a guy selling a service where he logs into your account and edits your avi, and there was also a virtual secret about it when she did it.
        LL covered her fuckup fast 🙂

    • She is actually Strawberry Linden now and as far as I know, no one is forced to watch her videos. Not sure why you’re all hating on her for it. Don’t like, don’t watch.  🙄 

    • I like Strawberry Linden. She is doing a good job, has a nice voice, and is always very agreeable to listen.

      • She needs to drink some fucking water once in a while. She’s annoying as hell. I avoid at all costs!

      • I don’t mind her, though I think what the secret wants is other people to be in the spot light and let Strawberry take a break. Not saying that’s right or gonna happen, but yeah when the big dogs like someone, that’s who we’re gonna see the most of. I personally don’t care, she’s alright and tries to help people.

  72. Sienna King, has taken spots in events from original creators over and over though her entire store, is from CGTrader and TurboSquid. She cannot mesh or create anything. She’s done this for at least a year. What is sad is she’s just one of many doing this. It’s causing actual creators who have focused on the community to leave. People that do this like, King don’t care about the SecondLife community they are just making a quick buck. At one time King boasted about the thousands and thousands of dollars she made from her store which was actually scamming people which she posted to social media proudly. Eventually, all unique items and excitement will be gone from SecondLife filled with junk and left overs from 3D sites if this is allowed to continue and people continue to support this behavior.

    Remember taking from these 3D Sale Sites and bringing them into SecondLife is against the TOS of those websites. Those who take from those sites are doing so illegally. They are stealing from those artists on the websites who do not approve of the reselling of their items in SecondLife. Those who take and sell in SecondLife could be taken to court and sued.

    • Think you need to re read the licensing on items from CG trader and that. Sounds like you’re talking out of you ass.
      Yes people doing this hurts people doing all the work themselves and custom meshers, but it’s not against the licensing of most mesh you can get from those sites, each mesh has a different license it’s on the creator to pick the license they want the site to use so a lot of the mesh can be put to SL.
      Despite how much you dislike it.

      • The majority of King’s stolen content is from TurboSquid. Which implies you cannot read. None of the content on TurboSquid can be sold in SecondLife. It has always been this way. Read their TOS. Mind you every item she has ever sold she has taken from third party sites.

        Justifying her claims to make her own work which she does not make, makes you part of this problem. She has been in countless events that are original mesh. Which her mesh never is. It is all, taken from elsewhere.

        Why argue with me here though? Do a service to your friendship with Ms. King and ask her on her Facebook why she has lied to you over and over claiming to create this content herself. Or maybe Ms. King can come here and address her own issues.

        All I said is you can’t stop it, your first example was “CG Trader” so stop getting so butt hurt, read and realize I’m not supporting the behavior. I’m just saying you should read the licensing on ALL the sites before you cry, and it’s going to happen, just don’t support the creator.

      • It took me time but, you are wrong, it is laid out in the TOS of CG Trader under articles 21.1 & 21.2 & 21.3 that patrons cannot purchase and then redistribute for sale or download in virtual worlds the goods purchased via the site.

        This means these are the terms broken:

        1. Taking items for resale from these third party sites.
        2. Breaking the rules laid out by LL for not using this content.
        3. Then breaking the rules of the events they have been sold in.
        4. Broken the rules of Second Life’s Marketplace.

        I hope action is taken where Ms. King will have to explain her actions and the events she takes part in remove her.

        Also, I hope you have a box of tissues to clean up the tears you will shed after reading this.

      • There’s more than just CG trader and I was hoping for this response, CG Trader allows you to upload it to any metaverse IE second life but not resell it.
        Here’s the fun part tho. They’re not selling the couch mearly the animations, the time of setting it up and the other things that might be added, you’re getting the mesh for free…
        Which means it’s still within TOS because it’s given to you no transfer and in a form that it’s cant be duplicated without other TOS breaking things.
        Yet again I said I’m not against you, Just don’t support those creators.

      • You are completely wrong. You cannot take anything from cgtrader and sell it for profit. Rather you add animations to it or not, you will still be profiting from somebody else’s work. What she is doing is COMPLETELY AGAINST the TOS of that site. CGTrader and Turbosquid was created for people who does 3d modeling. Like designers who would like to show off models of homes/rooms fully decorated. Do you really think the people who made that stuff sold it on the site so that somebody can take it and sell to make thousands off it if? Use your common sense.
