  4. I’m tired of seeing everyone with Reborn bodies. Not everyone has the same shape and I think the “slimmer” bodies deserve love too like Legacy, might not agree with the creator’s business practices but it is a nice body if you don’t want the pear shape and just more petite.

    • Legacy has massive creator support, more than Reborn really from everyone except mod creators, and TMP team’s attitude toward them is 100% to blame for that. I’m not sure what you’re whining about.

    • Reborn can be slimmed down and maintain its curves. Legacy is deformed when you try to make it anything but skinny so idk.
      Legacy has a lot of support but reborn is hitting a demographic of people who dont want to be twigs and like to look realistic and not model shaped.

      • there is nothing realistic about the reborn shape. I am not a fan of Legacy themself various reasons but the body does adjust a whole shit load better than reborn. It can be realistic curvy and slim. There is also an average healthy middle ground size that is between triple wideload heart failure and twigs. Not even sure where the idea that only way can have curves is to be a whale ass.

Since when did that mean that people needed to police other people’s looks? If you do not like a body, then don’t buy it. It’s really that simple! If you want to be skinny, then stay the shape no one is trying to make you change.

        Also, If I may say this are we forgetting that people have different shapes in second life. That not every woman is a “Skinny White Karen” who seems to have an issue with bodies that are made for people of color, or they are average sized not everyone is a size 0-4. This is not Forever 21 or Abercrombie & Fitch. The fact some people seem to have such an issue says a lot about you than the people wearing the bodies.

        Also, what’s up with the woman on woman bashing? Assuming anyone who has e-body apparently has a whale ass. Reality all bodies can have thick thighs and bigger bums. That’s based off shape not the actual body.

        I mean there are many more topics that actually could be talked about like, getting rid of pedos, abusers, people who actually use SL to harm people mentally, and those who literally use alts to get away from bans, Or Karens who want to police what people ware!

    • I can say for 100% fact that we who left this club give zero fucks what happens with the club, we didn’t come to Secrets about this because we do not think about her, or her club at all. We left due to disagreements within Management chats, and other issues within the everyday operations of the club and the way we were treated and made to feel on an almost daily basis. Our stress levels were not worth it any longer and the constant dramatic “I’m going to just delete the club” comments all the time. That is no way to run a club or to talk to people who are helping you run your business.

  17. #28 The reason why Designers do not put everything on Marketplace is, that we already pay enough for uploading Mesh, Textures and Ad pics, Texture Huds and so on, we pay for PS, and all the programs we are using, most, if not all pay for premium too, we pay for the sims/parcels and if we increase the cost for our Items that we put on mp we habe whining customers, yet LL is taking percentages of every sale we make, us Designers also need the Traffic in our stores, because apparently that’s how it works if somebody randomly types in search specific things they are looking for, the high traffic stores come up first, unless you pay another amount to be at a side bar and the top. If we all put our stuff on MP why even bothering to have inworld stores ? I mean you are already sitting at home, is it too much to support your favorite brand by just clicking the teleport button to check out their stores ? Lag? Well, I forgot to mention that we also have to invest into a good computer in order to run 3D programs and PS, AI and Substance painter … there’s no lag if you would treat your computer well and optimize it. A lot of us do it for a hobby too we can’t even live from the dollar or less even our items would cost you. Really I sometimes miss the times when SL was fun and all, and people would actually appreciate the work and time we put into our creations, we value our customers too, at least I do and I love to even gift stuff to people who shop in my stores … sometimes I’ll give out random gift cards for their next visit … I can’t do that if you shop on MP only …

    • Personally, I’ve gotten about 5x as many sales on the mp as I have at any of my inworld locations for any of my items, sometimes even 10x more on a couple of my popular items. I don’t see the mp transaction fees as being any different from inworld rent. People don’t know how to find new inworld stores anymore, nor do they go to malls to discover new stores (if they can find the malls either, for that matter.) The only reason I even keep inworld locations at this point is for non-clothing demos and because event runners like to see them, maintaining them costs way more than they earn. I could probably draw more people in to my inworld locations with stuff like weekend sales, but most of my stuff is already about as cheap as I’m willing to go so it doesn’t seem worth it to me.

      Let’s do some math. My two inworld locations total about 400L$ a week, which is pretty cheap for rentals. If I sell an item for 200L$ on the mp it takes 20L$. If in a week I sell 20 of those items on the mp and 2 in world, that’s 3.6k L$ from the mp and 400L$ from the inworld store. Both cost the same to maintain but one is actually bringing in revenue and the other is just barely breaking even. Additionally, if I sell nothing on the mp it costs me nothing as well. If you don’t want to put your stuff on the mp that’s totally fine, it’s your decision, nobody can force you to do it and I can understand not wanting to put in the extra work when it doesn’t feel worth it to you. But unless you own a store that sells high volumes regularly, selling on the mp probably isn’t shorting you that much if at all.

Also, if this is how you feel about e-body how do you feel about Kupra who have more ass then E-body and that one you can’t even shrink down. Let’s not forget that the body’s look isn’t the creator of the body it’s the shapes people are using. Also, reality it’s okay that you do not like something not everything in second life is for just you!

      But I do find it interesting that a body that’s made for people of color bothers you so much. Also, woman who are average size. Not everyone is a model size in second life This is not Forever 21 or Abercrombie & Fitch where only size 0-4 is okay. What bothers you more the fact of people shapes that have zero to do with the creator of the body or is it that these people using the shape get more attention than you do?

      It’s not like Maitreya, Legacy, Signature, and the number of others is going to go anywhere they are still to this date have more designs support then E-body or Kupra. If you do not like a feature on a body, then simply don’t look.

    • Actually if you own your parcel, you can keep people from not just coming into it, but also from looking in outside your parcel lines. They can still see your radar dots and assume, based on their location, but they can’t actually see your avatar. If you own a whole private island, the only way people you don’t allow can look at it is from the world map, since there are no other attached regions. So there are ways to have privacy, you just have to pay for them.

    • Seems you’re not renting your own parcel! Cause when you own your own land you can mark every sim to have it so people cannot see into your own. They can still see you on mini map, but they can’t look through your wall because you won’t show up for them. If you live on a sim or someplace without this feature than you are being ripped off.

  21. #13 – Each Body is it’s own file. You have to rig for each body, and sometimes for each size of that body. That is a lot of work, a lot of time. Store owners have an easier time selling by individual body brand than trying to get you to pay for what the fatpack containing all body brands would be worth. This also saves money for those who only have 1 brand of body.

    • Most of your comment is pretty incoherent, but I bet the reason that person doesn’t see those colors/materials effects is because they’re running SL in low graphics. I’ve never purchased anything from that creator and not gotten what I expected, but I always have advanced lighting and an environment set that allows materials work to display best.

      • The items are current on FLF sales but only 2 color singles are on the rack below this Ad image. The person literally just didn’t look in the actual store aside the cheap sale at entrance rack. Those colors are seeable in the fatpack hud without materials, not quite as pretty and pop of course but are obviously there. As for incoherent, it was understandable you answered it didn’t you. I was just too lazy proofread for missing words or typos. Scientifically proven. -winks- also proves those that pick at grammer, spelling etc are very often unagreeable people with more closed minded personalities …

      • The GC is a separate issue. Friend of mine received one as a gift. Friend didn’t know how the GC was purchased as it was literally a gift. Also wasn’t part of the store Group so wouldn’t receive any Group notices. They just took it to the store and was told it wasn’t good anymore because it had a time limit and didn’t honor any of it.

      • Then she needs speak with whoever gave it to her. They do not have to honor it if expired. Does a grocery honor expired coupons? no. Plus on top of that your friend did not even buy it so exactly why do you feel is breaking the law? She was not out any money

      • It’s not a coupon, it’s a gift card. L$ were paid to the store in advance to create credit at that store. So the store got its money and the recipient got no product. In this case, the original purchaser was not the card holder. The recipient did not receive any documentation of any ‘rules’ on the card.

        Now, I wouldn’t have issue for partial credit if the cards were purchased at 50% value… so lets say the original customer purchased a $2K card for $1K.
        Shouldn’t the holder of that card still be able to redeem it for the *actual* amount it was purchased? Maybe that’s not enough… What limit would piss you off? 5K? 10? It shouldn’t matter…

        In California the law is, gift cards /to individual stores/ cannot expire. A new card can be issued if the old one has a date on it and it expires, but you don’t lose the investment you made into credit with the store.

      • To be clear, this wasn’t one of those “everyone in the VIP group gets a $250 gift card to be used within two weeks” card. It was the kind that’s purchased with L$, meant to be a gift to another user.

      • The holder did not pay for it. Expired is expired. You can argue till blue in face. I live here and no nothing has happened has broken any laws. and Yes they can absolutely expire nor did the holder lose any investment even Walamrt giftcards can expire after so many years unuised. No amount would piss me off. Again expired is expired was gifted to me I am out nothing and entitled to nothing. The original purchaser would have known expired. If such a big issue have the person bought it go to the store and show proof of purchase. Whatever issue you imagine there is, is between purchaser and store not you or friend.

      Here is what happened. I went to the store not for the FLF but for the colors in the main vendor photo. I went past the FLF sign to the regular vendor because I wanted to see what that black one looked like and did it fit well. If it did I was going to buy the fatpack.
      I got a demo and tried it on. I had my advanced lighting running and I did not see any of the iridescent colors on the photo. I swapped every color and still nothing.

      After reading the comments I just went back to the store and got a fresh demo to rezz out in my photo studio. I NOW SEE the colors after flipping thru a few different EEPs.

      And I have gone back and purchased the FatPack………

  28. #32 – Are you f**king kidding me? Every designer who makes top quality textures buys brushes to make those textures. They have been doing that since Second Life started selling clothes back in 2003.

    If buying brushes for Photoshop/Gimp/Paint Shop Pro/Etc means a person isn’t making original textures then absolutely NOTHING is original in SL.

    Whoever made #32 has no clue how people make clothes. And Tuggy is a very talented designer who is undeserving of this.

    So please, keep buying the new bodies and keep making your av look bad with them, it makes us Maitreya women look even better not to mention all the cool clothes we can still wear 😉

      Maitreya stuff is mostly outdated considering it was created in 2007 almost 15 years ago.

      For the record there are tons of people who are attractive that ware Legacy, Kupra and E-body cause again it’s about the shape, skin, cloths and style people ware not the mesh body.

    • Excuse me? 1. My layout / Work I spent 2-4 months gutting out and making. 2. I spent over 6 months making Convergent. 3. I brought Jade in as a DJ yeah she helped me get staff but also that staff left afterwards when Voodoo Opened. BooHoo, I’m at 47 staff members, but have events, a Management team I pay every Friday; a Pr I pay every Friday, a Club I spent months to nearly a year working on to open. It opened in September, not 3 weeks ago we’ve been open for nearly a month and a half after nearly half of year of planning. I stole no layouts, Or designs or anything from Voodoo. My check in systems, scheduling, My counts for call outs and fills, My designs, and My club values entirely differ from Voodoo’s. What because we have the same basic rules all clubs do of don’t show up to your shift or do your fills you can’t be in staff or you’ll lose your perm? That makes us stealing voodoo?. It’s funny because, If I think if I stole voodoo’s shit I would of done it a lot better and have all their events and sponsors, I didn’t. I sit at 47 staff members I tip each staff member every hour that I can while paying for the sim and my management team and my PR. All while I have one sponsor. Only. We are growing, Rome wasn’t built in a night. But I can say for a fact if you want proof my club is far from Voodoo’s and this mesh layout I have gutted out and rebuilt my self and TEXTURED. Come in Crtl alt V see all the prims, right click and edit see the different creator names on each object. Because I spent months building my club. To make my Own home. ❤️

  35. 13. This is how all creators should sell their stuff, in my opinion. It takes a lot of work to rig for different bodies, so they should get paid for each. It also helps them gauge which bodies are more popular with their store. Also with body packs, you tend to get every color instead of getting every body rig. I’d much rather have all the colors, than have rigs for bodies that I don’t even own.

    28. LL takes a fee from Marketplace sales, that’s why a lot of creators opt to not list their products there. Or if they do, it’ll be more expensive on the MP vs. the price in-world. 

    • I can only endorse 13 if they either lower the price per item or include multiple colors. I’m not paying full price for a single color item and only getting one body option. That’s an absolute rip off. It was acceptable with gatchas only because they were transferable. For no trans items, fuck that shit.

    • 13: It certainly makes as much sense as selling by color, which is what we all did when there was only one body and no fitted mesh. But SL’s technology has advanced, we can do more, and there’s no reason why the old sales models ought to apply. I agree that it’s also good for creators to know what rigs their customers want. And if I want something, I am pretty much going to want all the colors. Yay, saving money!

      However, I do get a little grumpy when things are sold not just by overall body, but by body + mod (e.g., eBody, eBody + juicy, eBody + mounds would all be 3 separate purchases instead of just eBody + whatever mods the creator wants to include). Even here I get that it’s useful for gauging popularity and spending your time making what most people want—but the amount of effort required to alter an existing rig for a single body mod is just not the amount of effort to do an entirely different rig in the first place.

    • Deformers were around for years before reborn. They’re the only way to make anything usable out of Lara- shoulder and butt deformers at minimum. They caught on bigger after reborn because they included some with the body, and more people became aware they existed.

      • Ah didn’t know that (because I am a dude and usually the only deformers for men packed on more height or muscle). It just seems like there’s been a gold rush of deformers for eBody lately.

      • Yeah there’s this store called MT (I think) that started putting them out first, but I never saw them advertising anywhere, I just stumbled across them inspecting other people’s attachments and found them on MP. Shoulders, butt, waist; the standard options. The clothing deformers legacy provided didn’t really give people a very good impression, because they worked for shit on anything that wasn’t loose fitting and opaque. Then creators jumped on the bandwagon when suddenly most people figured out what deformers were and how they work, but they’re not all for Reborn; Kupra has just as many labeled for them, most don’t have any body specified, and even though a deformer may be created to work on one body they will work on any body, to varying results. I never bothered with them before they caught on mainstream because MT didn’t offer demos. They seem to think before and after photos on their one skinny shape should be enough, which is ridiculous. I don’t care how cheap something is, I’m not buying it without a demo, that just promotes poor business practices.

      • I actually just unfollowed someone on Flickr because they kept posting their Midjourney results as if they were their own artwork, and there’s just something deeply dishonest and kinda pathetic about that to me. At least Artbreeder uses your work for part of the final image; with Midjourney all you do is type some keywords in a box, that computer generated art is NOT your work, and only sorta even inspired by your ideas. She just keeps accepting compliments on it as if she had created it herself. The really sad thing is she actually takes fantastic, creative SL pics, so I can’t imagine why she felt the need to fake it for more attention.

Also they spread lies about how one body is easier to use in blender/max etc than another, when the method is the exact same. Someone that knows what they’re doing can rig a full outfit in less time than 15-20 minutes. It’s really easy and when it’s just a dress or heels, 5 minutes top for any body.just one sale is going to get the money back on every body released too.

      • What updates does Legacy actually need? There are things I would like, sure; more nail colors, a dev kit for nails, a body version with none of those pointless applier layers to reduce complexity, pointe feet… but none of those are necessities, and nothing is broken. The way people’s auto-alpha clothing sometimes glitches is the closest to a “broken” type issue, and who knows if a body update would even fix that? It’s probably an issue with the auto-alpha scripts, not the body itself. Do you think things just need to be “updated” periodically for no reason?

        Oh, and Erika is one of the worst rigged bodies in SL. Bend that body over(it was a test dance, not a sex animation, before the church ladies chime in with their noses in the air) and watch the lower back twist all out of shape in the worst way I have ever seen- and that’s just the biggest part, there are fucked up spots all over it. Between that, and the creator being a greedy twat who is one of the very few who has so little respect for her customers that she makes them re-buy shoes when she finally updates them, I’m not surprised at all that body is struggling for a fraction of a 1% market share. And no, I don’t care that she releases them as sale items- it actually just shows how petty she is, that she would rather literally nickel and dime people who paid full price for fatpacks previously than show her appreciation by giving them the same redeliveries as 95% of other creators.

      • The method is the same, but your ‘expert’ opinion forgot something:

        Someone that rigs for the top bodies would know each body uses a different combination set of weights for fitted or deform bones, have different proportions that stretches a model enough that it may need small revisions in the topology, or making sure the end result consistently looks proportionate to the other bodies inworld. Quality rigs for complex styles need to be fitted and have custom weight painting to shape some parts right so the shape looks correct when the body moves. Some bodies require a third party plugin, some don’t or it uses something that sucks. I can name every difference between all of the top body kits because I have them, unlike you.

        Creators deciding to not work with the bodies you want isn’t a personal attack on anyone and they aren’t spreading lies. It is your entitled and condescending ass that needs to understand this: if it was SO easy don’t you think they would do it for the most profitable result already? They are the ones losing money and comfort here, not you.

        I know another reason why some creators drop bodies: it’s because of rude ass people like you. You think claiming that they’re not thinking is gonna make them change? Don’t shit on the cook or they will spit in your food, smooth brain.

But just because the exchange isn’t in Linden$ doesn’t make it any different to how much people tip a little jar in-world, and then have nothing physical from it. So even if it IS 20% out of the year someone buys something, that’s likely less than what someone else would tip a venue through a year I’d imagine. From their website you’d be spending like… comparatively like $L9,000 a year in tips? And I get to wear something out of it? And they don’t even SEE all the money from what I spent on that shirt or whatever because of the cost to make and ship clothing isn’t free, how is that greedy? I just want something cool to wear from people I like. Is that so bad?

        And IRL merch likely costs 10 times the amount of money in SL to make? And I don’t see why they’d need to make merch or major pushes for stuff outside of… major events or whatever, so why would they do any merch stuff outside of the normal 20% that they do?

      • A set of pins, a poster, and some apparel is HARDLY a reason to make that claim. Name me a designer t-shirt or hoody that isn’t over 50USD with a decent design and not some ironed on anime ripoff peeling in the next 3 days.

        Pulse is an exclusive event. Sports events overcharge everything especially in their own stadium (including food) so what makes it different here?

        Most of the apparel is pretty well priced. Online shops are gonna probably charge 20-30 depending on the brand so think about this next time, that might look like a ripoff but remember that most small shops have to produce and ship things IN SHOP meaning they make everything themselves. That means QA testing, ensuring the order is fulfilled, and replacing it should anything go wrong. That goes double for producing the items.

        Rough guess here:
        20 – producing the item (equipment, parts, ect)
        20 – ensuring the product arrives (shipping labels, packaging)
        20 – replacement should the item get lost or damaged (recreating the item for the 2nd time and shipping it out again)

        Companies can create in bulk because they outsource shit all the time in the 100s if not 1000s, FZ doesn’t have anything like that so charging 60 for a shirt that’s hand crafted seems pretty worth it especially if they fuck up.

        If you’ve never used etsy or created products like this yourself don’t talk shit especially when you don’t know shit. Most of the funds have been made out to maintain the sim anyway meaning if you sold 3 hoodies, you’d have less to pull out of pocket (which can cost around 2-300 monthly depending on your plan).

It was created by a self important abusive zoophile content making asshole notorious in the furry club community for dropping club after club when the drama gets to hot. There were several raffles created to draw in people and they didn’t even get their prize because it was rigged half the time (if you could get past the 3-4 hour wait time soley for rigging the traffic ratings). The tail sales were dumb and some of the prizes were LITERALLY just staff being sl whores selling themselves out for pixel sex. They also sold rentals…on the club sim so that wasn’t totally laggy at all!

        Furzona also did raffles but they had some pretty good rules (anti afk, participants that tp friend trains are unable to participate, no shitty model rips, no duplicate costumes from previous wins, ect) and it was funded by their team. They got a genuine community that was in for the music and less sex so the raffles died off and they haven’t used them since. The only time I’ve seen them used was for giveaways for their creator events.

        There have been PLENTY of ways furzona could’ve done things for money. Taking cuts from hosts and djs, overpriced vendor rentals, fucking using their SL spotlight to advertise their merch, and possibly even charging for attendance in their major events. Yet the only time merch is even mentioned is during events, when the product is first created, or when there’s a sale. This is pretty NORMAL. They advertise their radio more than merch and that’s technically something that prevents people from going to their sim to listen to their stream and generate traffic.

        Do not get me to bring up shitty FKs entire being and Foxy’s style of aggressively screaming in every promo “buy MY totally legit fucking merch!” Because that was nothing but a fucking scam made by a shitty thief.

  70. 19: As if anyone ever believed in whatever Lidia Dallas says. Most know of her past and present, but zero has changed. She has a very racist history. Before Tutti Belli, she had another store where she created a makeup set years ago using the N-word, trying to make gains on top of being a White/Brazillian creator. She would be a good creator if she had an imagination or a functioning brain. She hasn’t developed at all since she began her shop. And yes, she uses drama for marketing her products (particularly concerning the same store noted), so much so that she keeps remarking on the post she made about the same person to play the victim. Not sure if any of you recalls, but it was exposed a while ago that Tutti Belli and Delicatta added Tres Beau’s on their product’s tags at the Marketplace just for them to be seen by more people and profit more! It was shady from the beginning. They must’ve fixed this by now. Welcome to Second Life!!!!!  😍

      • As someone who was harassed by paradox and isolated from the whole furry community by her and her group. Yes, this is all true, She’s a reason I left the furry community entirely because of her disgusting actions of even going to the limits of doxing a friend of mine in a group call and laughing about calling her mother. She has doxxed so many people throwing addresses, even to the point of her current partner is someone she once again stole from someone else. She has been excused by so many sims (They know who they are) for being this disgusting.
