    I spend a LOT of my RL time around Romani Gypsies living in the UK, those that live around the area of them have no problems with them at all, in fact they’re well liked in the villages, and have always been welcomed.

    Yes there is a lot of racial slurs over SL, but this isn’t just from from the Americans either, this is also the Europeans who are going around with racial slurs above their heads, this also includes it being placed in roleplay sims as well. these sims have both US and European admin in them doing nothing at all about it.

    Every culture is different, people have to accept that, words and names are thrown around differently all over the place.

    How about doing some actual research before you start slandering the entirety of Europe. Where I live, the County I live in has a lot of respect toward our local Romani Gypsies, we all work together as one.

    My family married into the Romani Gypsies as well.

    Before you say anything else. Yes, I’m fully aware the UK is no longer in the EU, but we are still part of Europe.

    • Kricket has been in the community for over 12 years, she has never been run off her account for being a cunt, banned from events or bullied a single person. Both stores are popular, but only one of them has countless people coming out about the abuse they have received. Not a single person has come out to say Kricket has bullied them off SL, made secrets about them, attacked them to the point of their mental health deteriorating, but hundreds have come out about Elizabeth doing this for years. Not even one comment of Kricket doing anything to anyone and you know full well if she had it would be everywhere and she would be just as hated as Elizabeth. You’re a bunch of sad, lonely, middle aged women who clearly have way too much rage from your jealously. You really thought you would bully her into silence and when that didn’t work you tried to tarnish her with lies. If you had any truth to what you said, you’d be posting it on Facebook with your name, you ain’t shit but a toxic bitch.

Directly after that ONE conversation you blocked people and went on to try to force the owner to remove me from the group. When that didn’t work you over the last few weeks went to all of the events I was in and tried to force THEM AS WELL to join in on ur vendetta. That only worked with the twins so you took to FB crying. You had no issues in how I stick up for people when I was sticking up for you. The 2nd your actions were questioned and I didn’t agree with your behavior you went crazy and as from what I see here even without a response from me your still going nuts.

        I feel sorry for you Kricket. I’m not mad. I understand you aren’t well but don’t take your issues out on me. I’ve had you blocked on every platform for over a month. Kricket has never changed, if she clashes with another creator through private or public conflict she will do just about anything to have events and other creators side with her by trying her best to get them excluded from the events she participates in. I guess it helps her sleep at night knowing that causing damage that will affect someone mentally. She has no capacity for keeping things personal or even trying to deal with conflict all by herself without including friends or people who has nothing to do with the conflict. For example, trying to tug on people’s feelings with public posts on how “innocent” she is in a situation. There is never any solution with her, just war, anything to feed her ego. She needs to look at herself and maybe even seek out professional help to explore why she is narcissistic and toxic.

I’m not excusing that Hostess, but most places don’t bother training new hosts on how to interact with and welcome anyone who isn’t the ‘opposite’ gender.     #19 You shouldn’t ever need to completely de-list an item and create a new listing for it. I’m fairly sure LL disallows that, anyway. Version folders exist and you can add new items to them that weren’t in previous folders. That’s suspicious as fuck at worst. The creator is just ill-informed at best.

    #35 While I agree with the sentiment, I’ve heard of far too many instances where a creator wants to do exactly that but gets essentially ignored when trying to get a Maitreya Flat dev kit. I’m not sure why it happens or who at Maitreya is just completely ignoring them, but it happens.     This needs to be addressed.

    1. If some one has fallen out with bb and did a collaboration, The CSRs are told to tell people in the group to not talk or ask about location or name of the product.
    2. When her product is delayed from issues (she is always late) CSRs are instructed to use various excuses. Eg she has two bosses now, she is working hard to fix a last minute issue because she wants it to be perfect. It rarely is.
    3. If person a does constructive feedback or has issues on the product. The CSRs will down play, dismiss or use cut and paste generic replies. Also they don’t pass it on, Even if it is valid suggestion or a complaint.
    4. If new product is not fixed and it is past the scheduled release date. She will release it and won’t tell any one about the issues and have CSRs deal with people complaining (always demo first but Some cases the demos work fine but full version is broken).
    5. BB will cause The Saturday sale to be late. (Note bubbles is responsible for delaying bc she always want big names to draw people in).
    6. The TSS or FlF products can be the same texture packs of the original and they won’t inform any one of that. (Try the demo first to see if you have the same fatpack with the name).

    Bb does make great clothes and they are decent on the complexity and she does promote smaller stores but the whole praising her like she is a flawless god and we are always wrong, grows so old.

    CSRs need to be honest and not constantly using generic replies with over the top praising.

    Bb needs to be honest with her products and schedule release days a head of intended date to fix her issues. If done early then release it but don’t waste our time with cookie cutter excuses.

    • I’m totally with you; when people were rightly bothered by the insane complexity of the Pia fishnets she re-released recently (the originals were just as bad, I only wore them once), the CSRs just started responding to all questions about them with copy/paste identical responses rather than paying any attention to what people were actually asking. There’s one in particular who is rarely helpful, just mollifying. If a CSR doesn’t have an actual answer to a question, they should admit that, and then find out what that answer is- in any customer support position, in either life. They shouldn’t insult customers by trying to deflect rather than finding out the answer.

    • Yeah, people exist offline, but have you tried dating when you have a physical disability? Or live in an area with very few people?     • In the end it comes down to communication. It’s fine to find a partner on SL, it just happens. But you also need to communicate that you want that person IRL too, not only an SL thing and set boundaries.

      Seems like that’s something lots of people never did and just assumed boundaries are the same for everybody, hence the sheer amount of “cheating” secrets on here.

  18. Who ever posted this had the same experience I did as well. I use to rent from Bloomfield 6 months ago. I was sent a notification from the Community Owner (Petenka aka Adam Crowley-Numbers) stating that the realtor would be reaching out to me to assist me. Also told me to contact his Estate Manager at the time for any wall coloring that I wanted to have done. Now the realtor did contact me and went over the radio and security system. When I asked about updating the wall color, he too referred me to the Estate Manager. I sent the estate manger a message and she responded to me the same day, explaining that she was working in rl and would gladly take care of the coloring of the walls for me. I was pleasantly surprised that she followed through that night. She sat there and colors all the walls for me, and even when I decided to change the colors last min she didn’t complain and you could tell she was just happy to help. I could feel the smile that she had, just by the sound and tone of her voice. I felt so sorry and apologized a million times that I felt I was taking so much of her time. She NEVER once made me feel like I was annoying her. She was very welcoming and I always felt I could reach out to her with any questions that I had and she would take care of it (and boy was I always in her box for the next 2 weeks).

    Now I have been to visit Bloomfield a couple of times recently, and I can see a big change that has been going on here. I feel that the Management Team that they have now are very cold to individuals that they don’t consider there friends or family. I have heard them talk bad about others on voice just walking around checking out the sim. I have never seen such a two-face management team in my life in sl. And yes I am sure there is lots there, but to hear it out in the open like that. That would push anyone way. Even the owner himself does not seem as happy as he was before, it is like he lost his A team that he had 6 months ago and now is left with the losing Reserve Team.

    I can tell you that I have had very small talk with the management team that this poster is mentioning and they are very rude when they talk to you and they do talk to you like you are wasting there time if you ask about any changes or updates that has happen.

    The Owner needs to wake up and realize that this team he has now, is who is going to make his community end up closing in the end. I really did love coming to this community 6 months ago, I loved the Management Team that they had there. It really does disappointment me that the fun loving and welcoming people are gone.

    I will NOT ever rent from Bloomfield again while that TEAM is there. And if they are wonder who I am, I rented a big house on Bloomfield South. Then brought my family there and we where renting 6 big houses alone from them with just us (on Bloomfield Estates, Bloomfield South, Bloomfield Cove and Rio Vista). My Family and I have decided after my most recent incident with their new Management Team that we will not be renting there as long as they are there.

    If there is any RP Family Community out there that might have picked up the prior Bloomfield Management team from 6 months ago, please reply to my comment, as my family and I would love to rent from you. That team would make anyone wanting to join an RP community and come rent from you.

I think her name is Shera if I recall. She really was the best person I have ever encountered and I really do hope she is at another community. I rented from Bloomfield almost a year ago with my family too. We rented 3 to 4 houses there. At the time they only had 2 sims and about to get a 3rd one.

Oh, and all of those bodies + addon creators treat both designers and customers way better than Maitreya ever has, Freya & eBody also have modify versions.

    Maitreya is an anatomical disaster made by people who treat their customers and designers like turd, and when clothing creators only support Maitreya or only make their flat chest/femboy versions for Maitreya I stop supporting them. It’s time to move on. Maitreya is literally the default SL avatar made high poly. You can see this by grabbing the free “Ruth 2.0” open source body on the marketplace, especially if you look at the devkit – it has the exact same signature shoulder and torso fuckery that Maitreya has.

    Plus as someone else pointed out, rigging is not exactly easy and considering most male bodies are muscular and most female bodies are skinny/curvy… It takes a lot of effort to reshape and refit the mesh. Don’t get me wrong, I constantly see stuff for Jake/Gianni/Legacy male that I wish I could wear on a fem + flat chest body, but I also get why it doesn’t happen often.

    I’m more annoyed about creators who used to make unisex items for multiple body fits, then stopped due to stress of rigging to many (fair), but then chose the same generic Legacy female/Maitreya flat lineup. Looking at you, Asteroidbox.

    Any creator who supports any femboy body other than Maitreya is instantly going to get my money… guaranteed. Fuck maitreya and their monopoly.

    Some creators are just lazy, or just want to sell theirs stuff using the best “trending” quality body, just for the sake of it.

    Quick example : Belleza Jake is one of the most easier (dunno about the new Inithium body), male bodies to work with. I’m not saying this to dismiss any creators or any bodies out there, but that is just so lame.. when creators for male bodies only do work or made available theirs stuff for one body only.

    The SL male market for guys is pretty poor. There isn’t much “creative” stuff out there..

    Still, I do agree that a skinnier body, like for example the one displayed on the ArchiveFaction product photos, would be fire. I’m tired of muscular bodies -_-

      • This. The hoops that some have to jump through to receive the dev kits for some of these bodies is a lot. A friend of mine recently applied for the belleza jake body dev kit. He’s super passionate about creating but was starting as a beginner. Not only did he have to get put on a waitlist, but he also had to verify that he had a store then had to send proof that he knew how to rig mesh and do it well enough to convince them.

    Import into Z Brush and use Retopo to hide the UV information.
    Sculpt a shit load of more detail on (ramp up that lag).

    Skip all Retopo and creating the LOD models because fuck it it’s about the money not the quality their customer’s deserve.

    Mid – 3,000

    Customer rezzes the quarter of a million tree miniature cupcake in their home.

    Customer also cannot figure out why if using Mid Settings and standing at the edge of a small room, the cupcake disappears and instead they have what looks like a triangle disaster zone on their table.

    Nutmeg’s one would go:

    Pay 10 USD to a third party mesher who has no clue what game models/SL is.
    Fiddle with textures themself making everything 1024 x 1024 size even on a knob.
    Hey it’s a sofa let’s put on 14 x 1024 textures including the shadow LOL.
    Skip the LOD models and all that as they followed the Dust Bunny Tutorial on the fuck it it’s about the money not the quality for our customers step.

        I am gonna start with Nutmeg and Dust Bunny. Eventually, their customers will get pissed enough to demand they learn to make mesh and not keep importing these extreme piles of shit. Or they won’t and their customers will eventually figure it out and buy from creators who do it properly like Cory Edo.

        I am that pissed at the shit they are pulling so I consider this my little fun weekly project. I’ll post here week after week on the screenshots.

        I haven’t even STARTED on her textures on that, but believe me I will….

      • it’s nuts bc i think she uses zbrush for her sclupts and zremesh is RIGHT THERE. just zremesh it, uv map it in zbrush and be on yr way lol. use the 2mil sculpt to bake your normal map.

        there are so many youtube vids on this but again these ppl don’t want to really work too hard bc of the “if their computer can handle it, everyone’s must too” attitude lol

      • what part was terrible advice? baking a normal map with a high poly mesh to retain detail or using zremesh as a quick fix for getting that low(er) poly mesh bc i’m willing to listen. you seem to know a lot so let’s hear it. hopefully others can learn too?

        i don’t see DB (or much of SL) doing any bit of manual retopology bc i know most 3d people hate doing it. it’s quite tedious and honestly i’ve never had issues with zremesh giving me good quads to work with in maya or blender.

        if you have a better way, i’d love to learn.

      • The suggestion of highpoly to lowpoly workflow is the correct one, the method not so much. There is only one specific instance where you can get away with baking a normal map in zbrush and almost never using remesher for your final topology nor should you ever use zbrush to unwrap. That’s not to say zremsher or uvmaster or baking normal map in zbrush featrures are useless. They have their uses but not for a production asset, specially real-time/game asset which is what we need for SL.

        If you were to bake your normal map in zbrush, the following has to be met:

        • Your final topology is made first in another software, and you have only subdivided the asset to add more details in Zbrush.
        • UV of your asset was already done on the base model.
        • Your model is a type of model that will have one smoothing group (3ds max term in maya it’s called smooth/hard edge) Because zbrush doesn’t support hard edges or separate smoothing groups for baking normal maps.

        So about the most common asset you can get away with baking a normal map in zbrush would be something like a human head. Since for those you build the topology and UVs before you do your detailing.

        Remember good topology isn’t just for sake of optimization, good topology significantly increases the quality of your model, has a huge impact on the quality of your texturing, and if it’s a rigged/animated model then obviously of course it would need good topology. Which is why using zremsher is a disaster, auto UV maps terrible idea.

        I can go over details of when/why zremesher is used ( i use zremesher heavily during my highpoly sculpting but never for the final model.) However obviously it’s a long drawn out topic not very suitable for this place. Message me on FB Prince Malekith and if you really like to know more, I’m always open to talking shop and going over stuff.

        i normally use zbrush to just sculpt and then use remesh to get it down low enough so i can fiddle in it in blender to get it lower and manually uv map (bc i hate the wonky uv islands zbrush makes lol) then bake normal maps in substance. since i’m going in there to texture anyway and might as well do all that stuff in one program. but i had no idea about how zbrush didn’t support hard edges. that’s really good to know!

        i’ll def be messaging you! and thank you again. i really wish there was some place out of world to talk about this stuff like a tips blog and a youtube channel for those who want to create for SL. people have brought it up at a creator meetings but like LL just brushes us off as usual. i more or less stopped going to creator meetings bc of it.

      • Everyone is capable of having their own thoughts on this issue if they are Romani. And of course I’m aware of Romania is different, why i laughed about it. Roma dna actually typically shows, India, Balkans, Eastern Europe and then it separates from there with some groups traveling on to UK and other places. That’s what historians and scientists use to decide Romani ethnicity. And that’s my dna. However there are plenty of different groups that claim it and argue for the title and who is to say what is right and wrong to ones own family heritage and stories. It has been fought amongst the different groups for ages really. Also there are a lot of Romani groups who don’t like the term traveler, that applies to Irish travelers more specifically or non Romani travelers. The truth is the scattering of the culture due to persecution is what creates these arguments and wedges within a group that could probably all benefit from getting along.     • Optimization in Second Life across the board is bad. The app itself is terribly optimized with legacy code on top of legacy code. And then you have creators who just don’t care to even attempt to optimized things. Although no game uses just one 1024×1024 texture anymore, that’s very 2009 and in most MODERN games triangle count really doesn’t matter all that much anyway since hardware is becoming so powerful.

        See, this game wasn’t built for graphics designers. However much you want it to be, had it been built that way.. SL would have made sure to plug in rules and limit items. But then, their actual revenue would have decreased.

I just went around my own skybox and saw a shit ton of other creators with large LOD values. I did the same when I went to several sims. This is a bigger issue than just three designers. And people aren’t willing to let go of their old mesh to get to the new ones because most do not fit their personal style. Which is part of the issue that you guys do not see.         And lol. I’m not the boomer, I’m the Millennial that sees what Sim owners, decorators, and landscapers see. That there is limited items in mesh to begin with, because there’s a steep climb to get to mesh making; and now we want to reduce the overall mesh to ones some individuals think is accurate. I mean can every mesh modeler here get on the same page on what they would suggest for SL? I would bet that even amongst all of you and I mean getting all professional modelers here, most will agree in some areas, and disagree with others.

        You want to create an environment where creators are forced to make efficient mesh? Let the game actually have a plug-in where you can do the mesh and just load it from one point to the other through an API mechanism. That is the only way to force content creators to abide by the rules you want. Even then plenty of you will be bitching at LL for some things.

        Hell we can stick multiple graphics designers in a room and each will have their own opinion on this.

        And for the record, if you really want to state that someone should make better mesh then look at the type of items that these creators do and compete with them on their furniture style.

      She has some items that are over 200,000 TRIS on the High LOD and then on the MID, LOW and LOWEST pretty much zero’d out and I am talking some TINY DECOR. How is that even possible that LL allow this shit to get onto the platform.

      Apple Fall his store, well his newer stuff looks less bad. But the Barn house fucking hell. The textures are ridiculous and will lag most people to death.

      The worst though is Nutmeg. They are trying to pretend to give two versions a high LOD and low LOD except they just used the SL uploader to zero more shit out to pretend it’s low LI. Instead of actually making the LOD models properly and having one model.

      If I see anybody with this shit on their land as an Estate Manager I am going to notecard them this information and explain why it isn’t welcome and recommend proper content creators to buy from. I don’t want my customers to be lagged to death due to them not knowing what dreadful creators these 3 are. I am surprised more people haven’t clocked this issue.

      • i yeeted most of dust bunny and nutmeg’s stuff out of my inventory and home. i don’t know why they both have been on here for so long and yet refuse to improve their craft. DB’s older stuff compared to now? lovely textures but she’s gotten worse with mesh. it’s heavier (i’m convinced she’s sculpting over 3d scans at this point). zero improvement or any bit of optimization. it’s actually gotten worse. maybe she thinks her entire store is supposed to be grey and no other avatar needs to move? what the absolute fuck.

        nutmeg’s answer to an entirely grey store was put a rezzer for each object. that literally does nothing! the mesh is all joined and when you rez a set it’s grey for a min. and my comp isn’t a terrible one. i stream easily, play other newer games with no problem. it’s only SL where my fans kick in.

        apple fall has somewhat improved with regards to poly but he’s really gotta go back and fix older stuff. either that or give it all away or discontinue it.

        the thing is, each of these creators do WELL on here but they are that fucking greedy/arrogant that they refuse to a) pay for a fucking class to learn basic retopo (bc they feel they earn money so that makes them pros ?>!?!?!?!?) or b) pay someone else to fix their heavy ass mesh.

    • Customers think high tris+huge textures=better because these and other creators have run long-time ad campaigns saying that it is, plus the weird insistence that “SL isn’t a game” and therefore having things made for rendering over 5 hours in a 3D program is totally cool and fine. You can make something that looks exactly the same OR BETTER with normal maps but who uses ALM when SL lags so bad?
      Plus if we’re talking about high-poly/laggy stuff in SL, we should be focusing in on avatars. Legacy Female is close to 800k tris just for the body, last time I checked earlier this year for example.

        for 2.8 i use the uv node when i bake to one map. you’ll get that circular dependency error but make sure that node is selected and connected to the new image you created to bake it to(it’ll have a white border around it) on each texture and you should be fine.

    Before anyone jumps on me for this post, please bear in mind the following:

    1/ I have posted this to encourage the owners of Carroway Heights, of which I am a former estate manager, to refund those residents who were led to believe (as I was) that the sim was being renovated. For two weeks before the sim was closed, the sim was gutted which I don’t think was fair to residents who were paying high prices (2250/w) to participate in a RP sim.

    2/ Like everyone else I was surprised and hurt when Carroway Heights closed, and felt betrayed and let down by the owners. I had made a substantial contribution to the sim, both financially and non-financially and I thought it was bad form that the sim closed in the way it did.

    3/ I have tried to make amends with the owners, but they refuse to engage with me. When they returned to SL, I offered them my land. I bought them a new property (worth 2,300L). I genuinely missed them when they were absent, but I was never given an explanation for why the sim closed, when or if it would reopen, and what was going to happen.

    4/ I was informed weeks later that the sim was being paid by a former close friend of mine. Since I found this out, I have been saving up as many lindens as I can to ensure she is being repaid, even though this is not my responsibility. This weekend I was able to pay that person L$21,900 lindens because I felt bad that they had been left out of pocket.

    All of this arose because the owners refuse to engage, which leads me to conclude they are just disingenuous people who never cared in the first place. This will be my last engagement with these people. I just hope this serves as a warning to other folks not to engage in your sim, especially if you are going to behave in this manner.

      First as we all know she famously bullied Thor Peke into quitting SL… Our community will never forget that one. Now Kricket has bravely come forth publicly about her experience with this toxic creator, and how she has been bullying Kricket behind the scenes. Truly heart breaking.

    • he DOES have bomb ass shoes, and everything else he makes. plus he’s one of the very few creators who are extremely generous. i wish more were like mr kunt.

      • His shoes are only OK. The stiletto styles are very useful for strippers and whatnot I suppose, and I appreciate some of the creative sneakers, but the colors are flat, oversaturated, and match almost nothing. A total color overhaul into less saturated options, and leaving them mod for slight tinting that often makes the difference between clash and match, would go miles toward making Cult shoes more useful.

      • I’m not a fan of the pants but I know plenty of girls who are. everything isnt for everyone. I wear his shoes almost daily and have no problem, but I also mostly only wear black lol. granted, most of his work is pointed at the goth/dark-style crowd, so heavy colors work just fine. but the fact that he only sells in fatpacks that are always less than 1k linden, and he constantly has stuff on sale is what makes him my go-to.

      • If you only wear black shoes, I really don’t need to tell you how basic you are. You already know. His fatpacks would be a great bargain if they were actually usable as fatpacks, but when the only colors that are useful are black and white, it means his shoes are really only worth buying in the weekend sales.

    • no kidding, I was reading it and I’ve heard of so many Lel users that have issues with the head and that not all lel make-up works on every lel head. Catwa has released a free HD Head, but who cares if she does or doesn’t do a sale I still find her heads easy to use it just sucks that no creators do anything for catwa heads anymore.

      • I would much rather she focused on making a-good- head again[ looking at you disastrous HD attempts], as opposed to giving out free shit ones.

      • Honestly, most folks that have issues with LeL Evo heads either haven’t read any of the info or refuse to try to get help for them. as for the makeup not working, that’s largely on the creator making it but also partially due to the fact that you can actually get distinct looks and shapes out of a single head. Catwa heads look the same on every single person wearing the same head. I can spot a Catya a mile away. Three people with different shapes could be wearing Fleur and I wouldn’t be able to tell for sure.

        Don’t get me started on Catwa’s garbage HUDs either.

      • The people you hear that from are dummies who don’t know how to read vendors or try demos; there are 3 generations of Lel heads, if you can’t bother to read about what you’re buying, yes you’re going to make mistakes. Catwa heads are definitely not any easier to use; I owned and used several, back when they were the best option. That’s just what you’re used to, and you’re either too dim or too lazy to learn something new. I’d lay odds you still wear Catya, and have never really tried anything else.
