  4. 35 …In the years I’ve known Vay she has NEVER charged for any updates. She always posts an announcement and tells you to go get a re-delivery. The fact you are saying she’s charging you for an update is stupid as fuck. She released that outfit at Equal 10. If it’s a re-release because she updated it for a new body, and you have that body go to her store and hit the re-delivery. It’s not hard unless you’re just absolutely unintelligent. However, If you have that dress and she released new colors, you’re not entitled to new colors. You need to buy it like everyone else. New colors are not something you just get for free. That’s incredibly stupid. Something tells me you’re either incredibly stupid or just lazy as fuck. Get off your ass.

  8. 4 Look, Flickr is a free (and paid) source for posting pictures. Any pictures, so long as they’re labeled and categorized correctly. There are literally millions of pictures on Flickr I’ve never seen, and there are certainly thousands I have that I didn’t care for at all. But what you’re proposing, that’s like going to a museum and saying “I don’t like Picasso, it’s too weird, the museum should throw them all out”. It’s not YOUR service, so you don’t get to make the rules. You just have to suck it up, buttercup. Personally, I like the landscapes that people feature, because sometimes, especially if they post the location, it sometimes gives me an idea for a good place for my own pictures. And the fact that you chose “Make Flickr Great Again” is about all I need to know you’re intolerant of a lot more than pictures you don’t like, so I am very glad you don’t make the rules for Flickr.

    8) You’ll come to learn that most of the big producer stores on the grid for women’s fashion either copy one another, use the same templates, or buy the same 3D models online. Not to mention nothing is original in terms of concept, but that doesn’t always mean similarity is a copy.

    15) Not everyone comes to SL for the consumerism of it. Some people log in solely to socialize, build, script, or create. Not everyone partakes in the fashion and shopping side. So if you don’t want to see a classic avi, derender it. It doesn’t hurt you.

    17) It seems a bit counterproductive to preach about domestic violence awareness and in the same statement suggest that people who put pixel bruises on their avatar almost deserve to be beaten themselves. Awareness doesn’t mean experiencing it yourself. While I also don’t care for that “aesthetic” I just ignore it. Pay attention to the people who need your attention, not the people who want it for the wrong reasons. 

    24) Because ignorance is bliss. People would rather think the worst out of something than to actually listen to the science. 

    28) When you import mesh, it defaults to the hand. You having a bunch of shit attached there doesn’t hurt you in any way other than your own personal annoyance.

    38) Sadly it’s the latest trend for all stores to stop supporting Belleza. In the last year, creators I used to patron a lot just randomly took Belleza bodies off out of their products. I hope Belleza lets people know they are still here and brings back some desire to create for those bodies. Better yet, drop a new body. 

    40) I’ve left so many times, 15 years, and been away from the game more than I’ve been here. Sometimes it’s best that way. Real-life is more fulfilling.

  13. #5 &25 Coming from former talent in VWE, it was deeply disappointing to me personally, that the alt accounts were getting more pushes than original characters. An undefeatable alt, the video game nerd. It was infuriating that OC’s were being ignored when many had the potential to do big things but were tossed aside for an alt that had no voice or role other than going down to the ring and doing a match. The video game nerd got a small push when it was made champion but that blew over like a fart in the wind.

    The storylines are none existent, there’s the occasional good guy versus the bad company head, but that is so played out. Promoting only goes so far. Having a few people in the crowd to watch isn’t enough. If it’s only about numbers and not enough about making sure the talent is happy, then it will just be another fed. Do better, VWE.

    10) It’s not that hard to tint a hairbase though. Hair comes in multiple different shades, tones, hues, etc. it’d be a nightmare to attempt to create every single one, hence why we have tin table options which, imo, are much better because you can color it to your liking.     17) Speaking against abuse while also wishing abuse and violence to those who wear cuts and bruises on a virtual doll is concerning and if you’re triggered by it to that extent, then perhaps you should stay off of SL and seek professional help instead of running to VS with such a reach. Ps, cuts and bruises don’t equal a love of or fetishization of abuse and women aren’t the only ones who wear them on their avatars. What about zombies, vampires, survival roleplayers, characters who get into fights, cat scratch victims, and so on?
    38) Dear OP, there are plenty of creators that create things for other mesh bodies other than Legacy. Stop being lazy and learn how to use the marketplace, Flickr, and Facebook. P.S. just because Jake is BOM enabled, that doesn’t mean that it’s easy to create for unless you’re specifically talking about tattoos or clothing layers. Most creators have to get put on a waitlist and jump through hoops just to be approved for the blender kit. But as I always say, since you think it’s so easy, why not just do it yourself?

    50) I don’t go to events very often but as long as we have plenty of time to buy their products, I could care less about them being late. That’s just my opinion though.

    • Never understand the hatred towards Raven. She’s always seemed nice when she was working for us and when I have to contact her on occasion for other reasons. I never see her come to the pounce location, I’ve been there most often over the last 6 months or so. She’s always nice, helpful, quick to help but never there but a couple times dancing with that wrestling guy everyone was after previously. Didn’t she quit working there?

      I do see her around on the sim over in the corner where she resides? Often with him too but rarely at the club.

      She’s been a joy to work with in the past, she’s done much work for our store and several others that also connected with myself and events.

      It seems unfounded and hateful for no reason. I never hear anything bad about her except a couple the ones who are well known in the drama side of our community. We refer people to her to do work for them often and never hear anything bad or any regrets of doing so.

    I buy these, I use them for roleplay, god forbid that when you’ve been in a roleplay fight with fists and weapons you don’t show that you got cuts and bruises. How dare you walk around as if the fist didn’t connect with your jaw, the sword didn’t slice your arm. The audacity of not showing some realism! (that’s sarcasm before anyone bitches). I like to show the realism of the combat from roleplay, I play out the injuries on my characters. It doesn’t matter if it’s medieval fantasy and magic healing makes it all vanish. Not everyone goes to healers.

    Yes, I was a victim of abuse, but those bruises, scars, and cuts are also there for roleplay and have been for years over SL, they’re just becoming more realistic looking these days. Get off your high horse, stop wishing abuse on those who wear those. Not everyone wears them for the same reasons.

    Some people on SL wear these bruises and cuts as a cry for help because they are being abused RL, they need someone to notice, to reach out to them, to help them. Get that into your skull!

    I’m wearing cuts and bruises on my avatars body right now. Oh no! Guess what… It’s Spooktober, I’m a Zombie. -gasps- you mean you can wear them as part of a horror style costume as well… Heaven forbid anyone should think of that.

    It’s not ALL about Domestic Violence, it’s about realism in roleplay sims, it’s about being on SL and having fun making costumes, it’s about expressing yourself, or finding help.

        Let me see if I can’t share my own experience…

        Pounce:
        The biggest claim I see about pounce being shit IS the raffles being used to generate traffic. Seeing the responses I can see why because It’s nothing but mostly AFK peeps sitting and waiting for the ping ta go off and poof somewhere else. “The One n Only” is easily Leo since his ego is beyond this world and attempting to brag about numbers like it’s a big deal is really childish especially by a business perspective, don’t matter how big you are because all it takes is ONE FUCKING MISTAKE to lose it all.

        FZ:
        Every time I’ve been to the venue they have an event and they not only present, but they OWN it. Look at Sensation Black and White not to mention their summer party and Aftermath which they just finished. Not only were they able to bring out big celebration after celebration, but they did it all themselves without needing to use a single linden to pull in a crowd.

        Comparing the two between the big boys like ARK and GYC, the one difference I see is the call to community. I can’t see pounce as a community when almost half the patrons are just linden leaches, they’ll leave when the earnings aren’t worth it and so will their numbers. FZ may seem small now, but their reach on the community and SL as a whole is HUGE because they have linden recognition not just in video but also as an official destination and discord server which is something most adult content focused sims can’t even hope to get.

        Honestly I don’t care either way, you play my music type and I’ll be there for hours 🤷‍♂️

      • I went shopping with a male acquaintance and his complaint about lack of diversity in male bodies are appropriate. But, we did find a trick for Belleza Jake. Gianni almost has the same weights as Jake and found just simply demoing items works out pretty well. It’s not a perfect system of course, there will be always something that doesn’t fit quite right.

    • Umm you are aware that Belleza did update all their bodies. Freya, ISIS, Jake. They are all V 3.0 now. I updated mine recently.

Like they completely destroyed a few people, most of which are either female, or trans-to female. Just go to Novus, ask anyone who role plays there 90% of the player base was abused emotionally by this sim admin/owner(?)

      • I have a male alt I use for roleplay. He’s a handsome knightly type who I like to explore fantasy places with. My experience in EoC was vicious admins who were soft and sweet to me and horrendous to female players and characters. Nothing turns me off of roleplay with someone more than hearing them go on about how much every other woman on the sim is a dumb thot for daring to exist in their space.

Last time I checked Flickr is a US based company and as such; people that post their pictures and SL content have the right to. The quality of the shot is not important as is the case with RL shots. Don’t like it? Leave flickr. That’s your choice.

    #12: I agree however there are multiple designers that have this. If I remember correctly: Ison has this for two of their jeans. Erratic and Blueberry. I suspect Addams may as well but someone correct me if I’m wrong.

    #17: Agree with some of what you say; but calling women dumb is a low-bar step.

    #28: Agree with first part, Agree with second part, kind of agree with the third but I actually thought demos were mostly to see how the item fit. Usually one can apply the RL logic to sl with fit and color theme: empire waist makes you look pregnant, if you are a winter skin tone jewel tones will look awesome and neutrals will look dumb. But in some designers maybe the color scheme view is needed because they are up and coming and not as established as others. Which means there can be false advertising.

    #31: Madpea has been a money grabbing machine for a long time. That being said, that group isn’t new. You joined into it when it was already at it’s end trail. The most they can do is to close the group a couple of months before dissolving it. And some creators do that, others do not think about it. That is a risk everyone takes with any group.

The fact that store owners have a right to block customers doesn’t mean that you should use it because you didn’t quite like a customer not contacting you. I do agree that if there is a “repeated” pattern of the customer doing that over and over then yes.     • The question is: Is that you speaking as someone that has gone through therapy or one that hasn’t. If you have not, then you are processing it in a way that may be toxic to you. But I can’t answer that for you. As someone that was sexually molested by someone close to the family myself as a child; I can say that I do not like to see bruises especially connected to sexuality. And I have gone to therapy myself.

      That person is speaking from a different point of view. And I as some that was abused do agree with their sentiment. It’s sexualized within SL and it is made to look “cool” physical abuse is not that.

Designers create for what is going to give them the best return of investment for their time. It doesn’t take an extra 10 minutes to create for a different body. It takes hours. There is re-rigging of the mesh, texturing and setting up the hud. Hud setup is usually the biggest killer in terms of time. Fatpacks, single colors, demos, blogger/csr copies, bonus colors, ect all need to be coded by hand including the different permissions and gone through each option for quality assurance. You do not want to be known for sending out buggy huds. Every body type is different so there may be different commands to send to to the design. It’s an incredibly labor intensive task. Creators also don’t have an infinite amount of time to create either so they have to prioritize. So if you are buying different or newer body type do not expect all designers to create for it.

    • Speaking as someone who’s experienced DV several time over, I can honestly say that it’s not what I think of when I see those products. If you do, maybe make some time off of SL for some therapy, heal and learn to move forward so while you’re aware of the warning signs, it’s not what you see at every turn. That’s not a healthy way to live, and coping skills can help a lot. Don’t live in your victimhood, embrace your survivor. I don’t particularly care for the products, but that also means I just don’t buy them.

I recognize that some designers are busy, but if you’re too busy to do this simple thing (especially the ones who did it in the past) then reevaluate your commitments. Same with including a texture with the product. You’re doing one for the ad/vendor, throw that one in the folder with the product. It looks like you don’t care, not about your product and not about your customers, only about your profits. We take the time to look through notices, notecards, websites, and events to find your product, then show our appreciation by at least getting a demo, and then ultimately purchasing your product. Show us some appreciation back by tossing that texture in.

    • Doubly so for poses. The names are virtually meaningless most of the time, and when I look in my animations folder to find a pose, the most useful thing of all is a texture showing that pose being used. But some creators never do this, usually with couples poses so it’s not just an animation but a pose stand or ball, which means you have to rez the damn poseball/stand to see what it is!
