  2. @6 – All of SL been battling the whole no-mod thing since its inception. In your example, I assume people would want to erase chest shadowing or switch a texture to match skin. However, people need mod permissions for a lot more things such as fixing glitches, optimising, adding a script, changing blend modes or materials and so on. Most people are not after making art with whomevers art.

I PLAY a kid on SL, I don’t hate kid avs. I’m talking about people who make dick jokes, and run around naked as much as possible, and wear things like fishnet crop tops and speedos with super noticeable bulges, and support brands like AVI(L) who are very clearly pedos. I block these people on sight but they still exist and a lot of people don’t seem to care!

    I’ve said this multiple times… If you have evidence of someone committing a crime, especially as egregious as pedophilia, you need to report that to the authorities. Not a gossip website.

    Also, saying you will “expose him soon” is pretty much admitting you don’t have evidence of said crime, or, if you do have evidence, you are waiting to put it out at a certain time in order to create more “drama.” And pedophilia is NOT something that should be dramatized.

    • The down side of this is unless the authorities have a name, it’s unlikely they can do anything about it, also the issue of people being in different countries. The only time I know of people being convicted for their pedophilia actions in game was because they had their real name in their profiles and that was years ago, before VS was even a thing, so people don’t do that anymore.
      Still a good idea to report it but not much if anything will come of it. Best to get them banned instead so they know what they do is wrong.

  11. 15- I agree Valiant has great story line so far even though it’s a newer fed and I am actually invested in their shows. VWE started strong but lately I haven’t been able to stay invested. UFW, while once upon a time was amazing, has now crashed and burned into what looks more and more like a success-gone-spite fed. I don’t know why it has been placed at spot 2 given the lack of story and crowd generally being 99% staff and the 5 people who stand around cheering for one fighter (and leave once he’s done) RWA should be above UFW, honestly. They made their return recently and so far they are promising.. and while lacking in established storyline so far, It seems as of lately though they are building one so hopefully they’ll continue to develop. NCSW didn’t make it on here and honestly that’s for the best. I’ve never seen their folks sell a hit. Really ruins the experience. DCWF has never held my attention long enough to stay at a full show

      It’s got the same shapeless slope shoulders as Slink and Maitreya, none of the tummy definition of Legacy, and the butt is really the only nice part- basically the same butt eBody curvy already had before though, and even that’s not better than Slink HG, although at least it doesn’t get banana tits at larger sizes the way HG does.

      • It does share some similarities to Legacy, to me it’s more of a mix between Legacy and Freya. The butt and thighs look very nice, and the shoulders aren’t boxy like a lot of other mesh bodies.

      • I was more so commenting to the breast style for legacy. It’s honestly IN MY OPINION! Better than hourglass. I was maining hourglass for a long while, even up through their BOM. Then I got other bodies and I completely dropped HG, maitreya, dropped them. As for the butt from reborn and ebody, they’re actually differently shaped. Same concept of big butt, but differently shaped.

        Also a point on the legacy front. Unlike kupra, it has a smoother transition to thicker thighs and butt, similar to how legacy is. But thanks for being rude about it and acting offended.

  14. #24 This has been in Secrets a lot and I agree 100% that if they’re going to have a theme then designers need to follow it..but it’s my understanding that they no longer require the creators to follow the theme if they don’t want to, okay if that’s the truth THEN DON’T HAVE A THEME!! It’s really annoying to see these great themes for each month and then like halloween/fall/christmas themes and no one following them. I remember one month they had like a pastel goth theme which is a theme I’ve always wanted at CO88 and when it came around I was super excited then I saw that no one followed the theme pretty much and I was let down. It’s just annoying and then need to stop with themes if they aren’t requiring people to follow it and for the love of everything please take R2 out of the line-up I’m kind of tired of seeing the same damn thing from them.

    • This is actually true. You can make the scripts no mod without making the mesh no mod, and modify permissions have absolutely zero effect on copybotting tools, so greed is literally the only reason other than ignorance of those 2 facts.

      That being said, tinting a white base to different colors does not look as nice as a colored base texture, for many reasons.

        I will happily pay creator for pretty detailed textures – too lazy to make them myself. Tinting helpful sometimes when I try to match few different shades of say pink or whatever color.

    • When items are mod, people can tint and even change the texturing of the items. Since they do not have the correct uvmap for the mesh and tinting as we know from yrs previous with old shoes with feet etc is never evened out, the items come out terrible looking. While you can argue oh well its their avatar, its still that creators name on the item when someone looks, thus making the creator look bad. This is the reason for no mod.

    • I knew a girl who would use clothes that (accidentally?) had mod rights to apply her own textures. They always ended up looking kind of yucky and the morality left a bad taste in my mouth.

      If I spent my time making a mesh and texturing it I would be quite upset that someone was modifying it so heavily. Especially if it makes the product look bad.

We get banned from a good portion of sims not for rating just because adults think we are all bad and that we are there to troll without even giving us a chance. People dont get that being a kid sometimes is a release from rl problems and you get to just have no worries in sl. For some it is a second chance at having a family less dysfunctional than they world they grew up in. There are different reasons for being a kid avi.

      • I’m led to assume they’re referring to the “Professional Wrestling” group VWE since #15 is also about SL wrestling.

        Think WWE but without the actual talent and athleticism needed to safely coordinate and choreograph the shows they put on in RL. It’s a handful of people using poses and animations with commentators shouting into their crunchy mics to mimic what commentators sound like in real life… Only they’re having to narrate users playing a sequence of animations (that may or may not line up or play correctly or may just lag out) and somehow make it sound like there is something happening. Watch some of the recordings on YouTube. It’s pretty funny. My favorite is when ‘wrestlers’ slide-pose walk down the ramp toward the ring because of lag or they fall off the ramp entirely.

        In other words it’s like people getting upset over rp sim drama. This is just like MC drama in that respect.

    • The fact that you have said FPW had the worst end to a title match shows how ill-informed you are. If you had been actually watching their show you would have known about the story and build-up to this match and why there was a special guest referee, with the official FPW referee became involved later on. Also maybe you should check FPW’s roster as seen enough of those people around to know they don’t use as many ‘Alts’ as you claim.

      • This is not a shot at FPW in any way at all but they are excessively partnered with 4 other federations at this point just to get a mutual nod of ‘we will support your shows if you support ours’ and there are hardly any real fans showing up to their event it is just other wrestlers there for a business transaction.       • I’m curious what all this even means, because their BOM dev kit is freely available for anyone. You don’t even have to ask to get their UV map and create things, just go to their site and download it. I know because I have it. Now if someone used that to make another head, and have admitted it’s stolen, I imagine whatever it is they “created” by theft will draw a DMCA and be removed from SL as it should. I’m sure that doesn’t fit under the terms of use, but I’ll read them to check. I didn’t bother before because I don’t sell anything I make.

        I’m also curious how Lel “tried to monopolize the market” in any other way besides just making something better looking, at a competitive price, that people want. They did the work to develop the new UV map that creators of skins and overlays alike love to work with. Feel free to ask literally any of them; I’ve never heard anything but praise for it. It’s not Lel’s fault Genus never updated, or that Catwa is an unpleasant cunt who overprices and barely puts anything out for HDpro, and they let AK use their previous UV map so people could wear Lel skins with their heads- literally helping a competing creator. Pretty sure Lel isn’t responsible for smaller brands not getting any support either. If anyone is, it’s Catwa, because she dominated over all brands until Genus and the Evo line; those smaller brands were crippled long before Evo X even existed. Sounds like a bunch of salty bullshit to me.

      • proprietary uv maps are bullshit anyways, they’re taking bom and making it harder for the new user to get into the game/making content obsolete. imagine trying to come in to SL, buying some nice shit and then realizing you need to shell out $50 USD to buy proprietary body and head to wear any of it. hello Legacy and EvoX.
