  10. #36 This club is so ridiculous. They put in the rules about not dating but you have staff fucking staff right under their noses, and they are Leaders and Managers, and Owners. They ban you if you have an opinion that doesn’t fall in their clique. They hire trashy hoes that cause drama, and allow it to happen. They brag to everyone they are the #1 Club in the grid, yet at any given time of day, you can pop in and only two or three people will be at the club. I use to work for them, and they micro manage you to fucking death, it got worse after they hired PizzaDan and Arya as managers. Ever wonder why Bound and Euphoria didn’t work out….hummmm….could it have been the managers?

    But I assume you don’t have any evidence, or else you wouldn’t have “warned” them, because that would pretty much make you just as culpable.
    An example that I am assuming is relevant here: If you see or know of someone abusing a child or know of a child being abused and you don’t report it, you are a garbage person. Period.
    Likewise, if you see or know of someone abusing a child and tell that person: “I’m warning you! You better stop or I’ll tell on you!” you are letting that person get away with a crime.

    Bottom line… If you have evidence of something that you are willing to report… You don’t go and “warn” the group or person. You report it. End of story.

    • I agree, however he pushed out new products everyday or every other day, for a solid 2 months straight. Don’t you think it would give off the idea that it cant be done ALOT sooner than 2 months.

      • Again I don’t know the person the secret is about, maybe he is awful at time management and priorities, but for the average artist what looks like poor prioritization could be the result of any number of things going on behind the scenes. Some people bounce between projects to keep their interest up and finish a bunch of things all at once, some people have a queue that they follow and the client got put last on that list, etc etc.

        Hate to say it but custom work for a client on SL is usually less lucrative than work sold to the public cause it’s a one time payment vs passive income, and some artists choose to prioritize getting the passive income. Artists aren’t machines, no matter how productive they are on their own projects, art takes time. I’m just gonna have to assume on what kind of custom the OP got from this guy, but if we say it was custom mesh from scratch with custom textures, 2 months isn’t that bad if you’re hiring an artist that has other obligations. Artists have to work you into their schedule, they can’t just drop everything for you because you want something done within a week or two unless you wanna pay extra for the rush fee.

      • Sorry to interrupt but if you need months of time for a mesh you have to either inform the client about that and ask if its ok or decline the job. 2 months for 1 fucking mesh is just unacceptable unless youre the Warhol of 3d Art doing Warhol shit and ure crazy and lazy but so talented that people will wait.

        I work in the 3d industry btw. so don’t try to “teach” me or discuss. 2 months for one piece of mesh is unacceptable, period.

Sex workers deserve basic respect just like any profession, job, or side hustle. The tone you are using is devaluing the very real struggles escorts can face, let it be exhaustion, burnout, or the occasional harassment by trolls (only to name the ones occurring in SL, I think we all know how sex workers on other platforms or in RL get harassed or abused exactly because of the mentality that sex work is “not real work”.) Accepting that sex work can be a form of emotional or physical labour is not going to take away from the appreciation that your own work is deserving, but the shame and stigma we put on this is going to be another drop in the bucket that adds to the continuous prejudice that people in the industry face.

    By using the word “talent” this ad tried to create a little humour as you could see on flyers, but it acknowledges that there are certain talents that are useful if you wish to work with people, like good social skills, empathy, acceptance, being able to lead a conversation or provide companionship and entertainment. We are proud of our girls and the talents they bring to our venue.

  48. No one wants only one brand of mesh head to have “dominance” in any kind of permanent way. I would personally be thrilled if the Genus creators pulled their heads out of their asses and actually updated their heads. Options are always good, but options are best when you don’t have to compromise quality on any of them.

    These arguments started because people were mad that most new releases from skin and makeup creators were for Evo X, were making posts complaining about that, and insisting Lelutka was somehow money grubbing their customers with the Evo X releases. Because they publicly promised to update their Origins line to Evo and never made any progress in that area (still not cool), I agreed with some of the dissent at the time, finding it unlikely they would keep their new promise to update Evo to Evo X. However, they actually did keep that promise- only 3 male heads left to go in the total update number- so I admitted to being wrong along with a few others, and switched brands myself. Lelutka is the *only* head creator who is currently doing that kind of major tech updates for free. This is not an opinion, it is fact.

    When other people, including myself, explained why creators were focusing so heavily on Evo X- new hotness + creator friendly UV = easier money for creators- people started getting salty and insulting Evo X heads, insisting their shit was better despite being lower quality meshes (old Catwa), needing updates for widespread bugs (Genus), having little support (everyone else), and many other reasons those assertions were simply incorrect. People can stick with whatever they want without deluding themselves about the reasons why, and behaving like children insisting people who use the newest thing are “manly” ugly or any of the other incredibly dumbfuck attempts at insults. The Evo X defenses are simply facts against salt. They don’t force anyone to buy or change anything. People who feel any kind of pressure based on things like that need to grow up.

    • The Origin line update is scheduled for Fall/Winter (*US). That has been stated over and over again, so not entirely sure what the issue is there since it is well July summer atm. They had a plan and been following through with it. The planned and started new releases, updates of Evo, believe a new male head and then Origins. Origins is alot more work to update as it is basically redoing entire heads and trying best stay within “look and rig” Do have patience.

      • That will be awesome if it happens, and I’ll happily eat my words in that case as well. My only point mentioning it is that they made that promise first, then released the Evo X heads kinda out of nowhere instead and started talking about updating Evo, so that ball appeared to have been dropped. I’ve read several of the release posts on Evo to Evo X updates and no mention has been made of the Origins line in quite a while. If you actually have the information to give a timeline, thanks for offering it.
