    First of all, let me say, FMD has been a lot of fun lately. My friends and I have had a good experience with Bella, so, I’m sorry it wasn’t that way for some in the past. I’m not quite sure how to address the comment made towards Bella in #21because I know there are always two sites. And having the right people to support you can make a difference. I do know, people should be given the opportunity to grow and change; otherwise, what is the point in life?

    I spent some time thinking about how a site like this can affect a person’s mood and eventually found peace. The thing that saddens me most about this site, “SL Secrets”, is not how hurtful and damaging a word can be. Or the people using it to vent situations. It is the two women who created this sandbox filled with shit. I would not choose to use my time and energy to sort through a cesspool of hatred and revenge every single week. The very idea sounds exhausting. Making decisions to keep you all festering and rotting instead of coming out of the very shit that will own your soul in the end. They made a clear choice as has everyone involved. And that is what I would like to address.

    This game would be a different experience if we walked away from something that isn’t working or gave ourselves permission to address a situation directly. Both scenarios involve caring for yourself which can be hard when you feel like you’re swimming in shit. 

    I’ve been there, and also agree that everyone on SL is here for a reason. So, cutting each other a little slack might be something to consider.

    Honor is a reflection on you. It’s just a fact. There’s a reason why words like respect and honor are so powerful. And I’m not sure I’d want to lose mine in order to pay someone’s mortgage bill:)

    I forgive all y’all, especially the girl my friends are convinced submitted this entry. If that is the case? I suppose it angers me a little but at the end of the day, I honestly feel sorry for her. At least they took the time to make a good graphic, right? Thanks for that.

I changed heads because I couldn’t get a nose with actual size to it. I replaced it with a different LeL head and still have a woman’s face. Nobody’s making you wear LeLutka, but do go on with the sexist bullshit. RL women with butchier faces have fewer problems in public than you do in your RL head.

    8 – Attractive is an individual standard. Knowing your subject matter, however, is not. You took all that time to demonstrate that you don’t know how to work with an EvoX head. PS: A lot of skin makers do skins for both Genus and LeLutka. Their talent at skin-making does not turn into disfiguring hellscape design when they work with LeL. You just wish it did.

    #10 It might shock you to know that different heads always had slightly different maps, so creators had to adapt their textures to each head. In the past couple of years, most head creators started working toward maximizing compatibility, trying to get close to the SL map, so BOM would fit most heads, finally giving content creators a break. And then Lelutka said “nope, fuck that, compatibility is for pussies”.

      • The only people who say that are the ones too broke to pay their way into popular spots; I go to events with between 60 and 100 people frequently, have several hangouts where 40+ is a common number to just be hanging around. SL has certainly changed, mostly to make it harder for griefers to ruin people’s good time, and making group only access with a paid group is one of the most common changes.

  40. NGL I’ve been with Lelutka since before the brand got popular, but I’m considering giving Genus a try. NOT because of the Lelutka bashing but because everybody I run into now has Lelutka. I’m not trying to be a special snowflake but I don’t want to have the same head brand as every other girl in the sim that I’m in. Variety is good. People should be able to wear what they like and change up if they like too.

      • I mean thanks for the advice but no matter what shape or skin or brows, I can still pinpoint a Lelutka head when I see one. Just like I can pinpoint the other heads. I just see LESS of the other heads now, especially on the sims that I frequent. I also think it’s funny that the same people (not talking about you necessarily but in general) who were yelling that Catwa girls were all clones and basic, can’t understand that not everyone wants to be on this Lelutka kick that everyone else is on.       • Lelutka has 14 fully updated female heads. They don’t look alike if you can shape to any degree at all, but they do have qualities that make them distinctive, like the much better materials. You could pick out Lel from Genus easily just based on lip shine, because that outdated Genus shit has the exact same materials over the whole face, so if you want shiny lips you have to make your whole face look like it’s dipped in oil. You can pick out Lel heads because their ears are flawless, human and elf version, and most people using those heads no longer use attachment ears because of all the rigged earring options.

        There are plenty of ways to tell Lel heads- but not which head without inspecting, and just being the same brand doesn’t make for clones. No one ever said Catwa wearers were all clones, just CATYA wearers. Specific head, not brand. You know, the oldest major brand bento head on the grid? The one we all had at some point if we’ve been around long enough? At any rate, feel free to downgrade yourself if it makes you feel special. Don’t “Babyface W001” though, and you should probably pass on all W 001 models if your only concern is making sure you don’t have the same head as others.

        In fact, if all you care about is brand distinction you should hit up AK, or someone other than the big 3. I have this feeling you’re trolling though.

      • Thanks for the advice. I may look into AK as well. I’m not trolling, and definitely didn’t mean to get people upset. I like Lelutka but it’s time for me to move on from them. I can spot head brands and I have spotted an onslaught of Lelutka heads where I frequent. I don’t have to be a troll to go against the majority. I have a mind of my own and I don’t have to want to continue wearing Lelutka because other people prefer it. I just genuinely want variety from others where I frequent. That’s really all to it…….. like.. really…….

    • LOL man I called out Ole Joye ages ago after she went after my friend for information I gave to Energy because…as usual…he was crying about how she fucked up his RL and was fucking around on him, while trying his damnedest to hit on me and fucking someone on his staff. But then, ofc, he ran right on back to her when she threw some dollars at him that he clearly did not use to update himself. Also, while I’m here, let me just clear up the timeline…the 808 wasn’t open until sometime in early 2018, I don’t know the exact date. Joye can claim that place was around since 2013, but they opened it as an open stage venue that we (Myself and the other owners of Club Sonar) helped them advertise. They weren’t even a real club until we decided to close Sonar and offered them the opportunity to scoop up our staff. Sonor Closed in December of 2018.

From what I understand, if stores set up demos through CasperVend then it has to be set at at least 1L. Majority of stores set them to be automatically refunded. Salem is one of them.

I actually took some time this past weekend and since Kupra did the update to fix that Genus neck seam (or at least try the best she can) I figured I would dust off one of my Genus heads, grab a shape and skin and build a bitch for funsies. She was really cute, and I won’t negate that the Genus heads are cute, they totally are- BUT, man was it a BITCH having to mess with the eyes, not being able to fix the weird mouth even on an updated skin, and after using Lelutka so long, especially now with the Evo X and their hud which honestly makes taking pictures and stuff much easier and quicker. I took my Genus for a test drive to try some pics and kudos to those of you with Genus heads and decent photos because I didn’t have the patience and gave up. Needless to say it was fun to play around for a few hours, but I’m back in my Lelu. And a sidenote: My face is actually quite soft and feminine, but I also use Lake when I want a stronger, more bitchy appearance. Let people live and look how they want to in a fucking game- if you’re that pressed write a sad little letter to the creator who abandoned ship on something that had potential to be amazing, rather than criticizing and generalizing strangers and their choices.

    • All heads look the same! no matter how different you can dress. I can spot them. Creators won’t let you change almost nothing out of the shape. They want everybody to know “hey! there is a on that avatar!” and everybody -the customers- is buying them and fighting between each other like silly fan girls/boys.

  70. #10: So I’m going to assume you know nothing about how UV maps work with mesh heads and bodies. A UV map shows how a texture will “wrap” around the mesh. All those heads have different types of UV maps for their own product. The differences can be subtle or huge. So if you put a texture for the evo x head on a regular evo head or even a catwa head, it’ll look really messed up. Or if you use a genus lip makeup texture on catwa, the makeup won’t fall in quite the right place or look muddy and a bit distorted. This happens even with bodies with things like belly button and nipple drift being the usual noticable problem.

    Because of all that, even with BoM, creators will still need to make a version optimized to fit each of those meshes in your example. The only thing that’s changed is that the method of getting them on your mesh is different (aka, you don’t need applier scripts now to do the job). Appliers weren’t some magical money-making gateway scheme to milk customers for extra cash by selling them identical products behind a scripted paywall. (When it comes to skins and cosmetics in most cases, I’m sure there’s a few isolated examples of how appliers were abused).

    What you could potentially complain about are skin makers who sell the head layer at a full price then make you purchase the body layers separately (especially if you’re only getting one body tone per extra purchase). That’s a bit closer to nickle and diming the consumer when it comes to skins.

    • True, but it is not good to buy one for each head we own, using the same skin… It is a digital work, the creator is not doing it one by one each time somebody want one.

If you go into your outfits and go to the layers tab, there is a wrench that allows you to switch where the layer sits. I get you are frustrated about the lack of skin bases to tattoos, but at least try to see if there is a way other than taking everything off before you complain. Sometimes creators has a lot on their hands and creating skin based AND tattoo layers for skins might not be the easiest or quickest option to release their product.     • I was into Lelutka prior to it being the main head store on the grid. I first went for a Akeruka Bento head, then a Catwa bento, but it just looked too childish. So I went for Lelutka and have not regretted it.

      And now with BOM? I am wearing the dated Evolution X head so I can switch back and forth between Evolution and X if I feel like it, and I love it. I just didn’t quite like the changes in the unbounded version of the face. Anything else, was a welcome addition.

Enfer has their faces as the body skin and bodies as the tattoo layer; you can’t mix and match a face with another body skin from a different store (say the new Velour Ipanema bodies) because the two skin layers conflict. You’re stuck with wearing Enfer’s face with their bodies or any other store that does tattoo layer bodies, which not sure who does tattoo bodies really.. I’ve only ever seen Enfer do tattoo bodies. I might be alone in this, but me, personally, I like to mix and match bodies and faces.

  94. #50 You know you don’t have to take off all your makeup when you change skins. Just go into edit appearance and then right click the tattoo layer you want and hit edit outfit. You’ll see arrows to the right of it and you can click the arrows up or down and move where the layer is.

    Open Edit Outfit. Look at the list of your layers, and notice that they have up and down arrows. Use those arrows to reorder the layers, moving your skin to the bottom, and arranging the others as needed.

    No need to take things off and put them back on. This is super basic stuff, so maybe learn how to use SL before you complain next time.

    ETA- The reason why they “can’t” is because they would have to include face and body skins in the same layer to do so, and then wouldn’t make as much money selling the body and face layers separately. You can’t “add” a skin layer, if you have one already. So the answer to that is greed, but you still don’t know what you’re doing.

      Also, event fees are for advertisement and are usually pocket change. Like, hell yeah I’ll pay $3-5 to make $100+ over the course of a couple weeks/a month, that’s more than worth it to me. I did defend them on accusations of criminal activity like scamming- because it helps to have actual evidence of stuff like that, and you look really stupid accusing otherwise- but other than that Genus team are complete failures. The essential difference between them and the old TMP team is that their heads were *not* released as beta, as the TMP Classic body was, and selling something as a “beta” has an inherent promise of update included. I bought my Genus head knowing it could be a final release, and I moved on past it because the dev team has failed to address their errors in a reasonable timeline, and better options exist. Tres chic gala team suck they couldn’t answer any questions from designers example “hey when does the event open seems there’s confusion in group” the responce we got was “we should have read the rules” or “tres chic event designers don’t need to ask why do you” or even worse “ some people are too stupid to read the rules” the reason designers were confused were because of two things; one the event was absent of people and designers!! And also there was no opening notice there wasn’t any advertisement we could see exept one fb post after hunting. Many designers brought up a worry about the advertising explaining they thought serphrim coverage was included in the event (like the last 4 rounds) and they didn’t see any other advertisements on any sites like Flickr, sl media ect. ALSO the advertisement we did have had the wrong month on saying November not july! When any worry was raised with any staff memeber they were totaly unprofessional they would blame us designers for the empty booths then claim we said there was no advertisement when we said we were worried about where the advertisement is and seemed to take things personally over professional. As one on one discussions of worries weren’t going well we all made a google form with our worries and what we felt from that they stared a chat in the group chat saying we were starting rumours and that the designers were being “so unprofessional” by sending them the report on how they felt the person who made the form made sure to include positives with the negitive and was working hard to keep people calm and even said there might have been reasons for the round not going as well as wished. The icing on the cake was in that discussion in the group chat they insulted every designer in there saying that they acepted designers other events wouldn’t and this is what happened because of that. They were rubish and awful to the amazing designers in that round and in the group many pulled there items feeling insulted. They claimed there wasn’t going to be another round then there was then there wasn’t they are in emotional waves and not acting professional at all. The staff team could not understand at all how empty booths effected other designers in the event or how it makes the event look bad. Mabey now they see here that public also noticed and commented they can come off there high horse and not be as rude to the designers paying them and providing them items. Designers I’d be very careful applying for this event or tres chic the fee is paid to the owner and that’s normaly it expect the first nc you get inviting you, they don’t have a welcome pack they are hard to get a answer out of or your treated to rudely like shown before this unfortunate seems the same for tres chic some designers said but I can’t comment on that as personally haven’t been in that event!

    • At Salem , the 1L is not refunded , i went there once trying demos ,so i know for sure . But i won’t go again .

      • It would have been done so in error. If you ask literally any creator about your measly L$1 you’re so desperate for, they’re going to give it back.

      • I just went there and tried it myself at Salem, and it did refund me the 1L immediately.

    • Some people actually do charge 1L for demos, off the MP. Those people are morons, costing themselves business out of the most petty greed I’ve ever heard of.

      Salem is not one of them. You get your 1L back. Pulling their sale items immediately as soon as the day is over is lame as fuck, but that one day is all they have to give you. The creators who leave FLF out all weekend are just extra nice, or maybe lazy, but no one is required to do that. Poster is super salty over dumb shit.

      • My main activity in SL is building avatars for fun, so I have one main account that acts as my piggybank. I do most of my purchasing through that account so I can keep track of my MP spending.

        1L is a pittance, and it makes it more convenient and efficient for me to send the demo as a gift to my alt.

        It’s actually more of a hassle when demos are 0L.

      • Some people gift demos to alts or friends. You can’t gift anything free on the MP so maybe that’s why?

      • Right, that’s why I specified OFF the MP. I understand it on the MP, it’s not such a big deal, especially if you have the option to get it for free if you go to the inworld store.

    • If you charge 1 linden for a demo on MP, that is not very customer friendly but since you have to pay for a sale somewhat understandable.

      But charging people for demos at your store makes no sense at all since you are already renting the store and make money on the sales of it.

      Stores like Salem, Zara Kent and any other store that charges for demos should be banned from events if you ask me. There are stores who’s products are always a perfect fit such as Blueberry, Adams and a bunch of others but especially when your clothes are a hit or miss, charging money for demos is uncalled for.

      • I agree demos should be free but if one linden is going to break your piggy bank and give you cause for concern you have much bigger personal economic issues.

    • All of our demos SHOULD be refunding the 1L. If they are not, please contact us and tell us which vendor you’re having problems with. Our demos are absolutely not 1L to trick anyone, they are that way because the MD vendor will only keep track of demos if it is bought for at least 1L. Keeping track is one way we’re able to give you the best customer support we can. We have a script that refunds your 1L, if it’s not refunding you, it’s not working as intended. I’m sorry if anyone was experiencing problems.

      We love our customers and try our best to show our appreciation any time we can. It genuinely makes me sad that a virtual secrets needed to be made about this issue. I encourage anyone who has issues with a store to message CSR or the creator before resorting to this.

      As for the FLF item being removed quickly, this is not necessarily true. The item was moved to the mainstore at 6am CST on Saturday. I don’t know if that’s considered early as the event is a 24 hour event, but it was not moved to pull the rug out from under people. FLF has rules that the sale should end at midnight, and while some stores may continue the sale, it’s not up to us to extend the event. We wouldn’t want to be disrespectful to the owner. We simply put the item back in our store at a normal price so that people who missed the sale still have the ability to grab it.

      Again, we appreciate all our customers and are sorry if you feel like you’ve been ripped off or tricked, that has never been our intention. SL store owners are still humans like everyone else, there is no reason to make a hurtful post and take a jab at peoples’ talents.

      (I’m not directing this at you Blip, more just everyone whose experiencing issues)

    • From what I was told by creators, if you use casper you have to set demos for at least 1L; but it does automatically refund. That’s just what I was told though.

Those places could doxx you, post your rl everything, tell people to go get you, and out every online account you had and no one would do a thing. You “deserved” it for being online and roleplaying “wrong”.
