I join SecondLife to be social and to relax from real life, but what I see there is more drama in SL than in real life, from clubs, from groups, am not saying all of sl is drama, there are hand full of good people, and from role-playing, some take it over the hill. The true good part is when you go in and kick back and enjoy your time from music, socializing & having a great time with friends, but when drama kick in its like a light switch, it’s a turn-off, don’t people have enough of drama in real life and why bring it into SecondLife

    • When the Genus heads first came out, it was refreshing to see something other than Catwa (at the time dominating heads). Due to lack of updates, the Genus head now looks very dated. I hope they come out with something but don’t hold your breath.

    This happened a few days ago from what I can see so was anything actually donated from this club to an anti bullying charity… or was it just another fly in the pan voodoo “event” when they don’t donate or even give out prizes it’s just a desperate attempt to get people into their club. Maybe one of voodoo management or owner can enlighten on this because if nothing was donated that’s a pretty lame way of pulling traffic to the club…

    • It was more of an awesomeness to the impact bulling can have, I think it was one of the managers who knew a teen that recently attempted suicide over roblox game, not sure if they died I’m just a dj. Was more pushed for you to reach out and talk to somebody, there was a lot of numbers listed from around the world that people could call. I don’t think it was to gain anything as what has been twisted around in here but more of an awareness to reach out if your feeling this way. At least that’s what I got from it. I actually thought it was a good idea.

    Do you get the point? Cultures are meant to be fucking shared. We are meant to see other cultures and embrace them and share them around. There are industries that thrive off culture and sharing it around. If we all lived in a bubble, almost all of the technological advancements would not have been made. Also, sharing cultures stops racism and abuse. Do you not see that if we all spend time together, learn from each other, and let each other in, the world is a little brighter? You cannot take from other cultures and not have your own not be taken. Then again, dreadlocks are not an African-American culture, anyway. They are Jamaican. Want to know something else? There are white Jamaicans. Fuck, there are even Asian Jamaicans.

    The only time that it is wrong to wear something from another culture is if that garb is tied to religion or certain beliefs. Let me explain simply. You can wear a kimono from Japan without any consequence. However, you cannot (and should not) wear a war bonnet from the Native Indians because that clothing item has ties to respect and is earned.

    Likewise, in case you are not following: DREADLOCKS ARE NOT A FUCKING SACRED SORT OF CLOTHING THAT MUST BE EARNED. ANYONE CAN WEAR DREADLOCKS OR FUCKING ANY OTHER HAIRSTYLE UNLESS THAT HAIRSTYLE HAS SOME SORT OF RELIGIOUS TONE OR IS CONNECTED TO A POSITION OF POWER AND/OR RESPECT.

Murder took the time out to help me with issues I was having even tho it took him two hours to explain the basics and then to show me what scratching was. I’ve been around for a long time and this is one of very few that made me feel welcome, The owner is very on hand and always has been nice, The managers are always so nice and fast to respond, the staff are so friendly and there is this amazing vibe that is hard to explain.   33. I was a supporter of Genus, love the look of the baby and strange but seriously no updates for the past year and my av looking cross eyed was enough for me to jump to LeLutka. I am still in the Genus group and the amount of “Help!!!! My eyes!!” Questions thrown in there is phenomenal. Plus the neck issue with Legacy.   35. Braids and dreadlocks are different. They are created differently, maintained different, and work different with different hair types. Vikings didn’t wear dreadlocks. They wore either elflocks/matlocks (a style that requires matting or tangling the hair and looks similar to dreadlocks), or they wore braids. Dreads are neither.

    Idfk what you even mean about witches because that’s neither a single culture nor older than Africa so I’m just gonna ignore that one completely.

    The funny part is that they knew about the issues prior to releasing the heads out of beta. They rushed the release, got the dmca, and have now disappeared. So really it’s been over a year that the updates have been needed. Why not work on them while the dmca is in effect? The only limitation was being able to sell them in SL. They definitely were working on something as they posted a teaser photo of HD eye shadows while the dmca was in effect. They can work on a male head and send that out for skin fair for designers to support, but pull out at the last second because it “wasn’t ready” but can’t fix their current 9 heads that are busted. The sad part is if you ask anyone.. or bring it up anywhere, you get burned at the stake for it. The CSRs only say “we hear you! They’re working hard and things are coming soon!” The day that it was found out that Genus pulled out of Skin Fair the discord chat in the #updates channel was lit and nothing has been said in it since from anyone (go read it for a laugh). As far as support goes, I have thankfully noticed it slowly being dropped and more focus on Lel/Lel X but I cant tell if that’s because of it being something new or shiny or if designers are legit waking up and realizing that Genus will never update and they’re dropping it like Belleza has been dropped.

    It does make me a bit sad, because one of my absolute favorite skins is for Genus and I love it so much, but I cant abide the bugs and glitches and lack of support from the brand for its products and customers.

Again, it doesn’t apply to all newbs, it’s just what I’ve seen over the years. There are plenty of sims that are strictly for new users only. Also, what is waiting one month going to do if you’ve been banned? The average person is going to make a new account the minute they discover their account has been banned.

Legacy don’t charge that much for quality and hard work, neither do Maitreya. Maitreya was confirmed to be an asset mesh that the creators didn’t even make themselves… I wouldn’t be surprised if Legacy is the same. The only reason Legacy is more expensive because they have their head up their asses & pride themselves on being “THE mesh body” or some crap.

Legacy is the almost the only body with major support that has any muscle definition- Freya and Isis come second, but they’re dying from lack of updates. The only shortcoming in the actual shape of the Legacy mesh is a slightly horseshoe-shaped pelvis, which can be mostly mitigated through good shaping, and my theory about that is they did it to imitate Maitreya’s much worse version so their deformers would allow you to wear some Lara clothes. You could also run your camera over the mesh up close yourself- a demo will work, since you obviously don’t actually own this body you talk so much shit about- observe the details in the mesh around the shoulders and stomach, the shape of the breasts as you turn up the slider, and back quietly out of this discussion without looking any more foolish. Bonus points for throwing on a dance or two to watch the difference in the way the mesh bends, which is where Legacy is truly incomparable; take a good look at those elbows. What? No flat bent straw effect? They look like real elbows? Shocker.

        I’m good either way, because I already know whether you admit it or not, I’m right and you are just salty.

        The high poly count is probably why the mesh bends the most naturally of any body in SL instead of getting flattened and folded during animations. Your taste is all in your mouth; keep making excuses for being cheap. I’ll just keep looking way better than you.

    • I think what “the deal” is based on what the furry community has said is that SG sold the Regalia as a project so furries could have their own easy to mod body and not rely on human bodies. The reason there’s butthurt is that the Regalia creator pushed this “community project” narrative hard and then completely fucked off and abandoned support after getting people to buy into it.

        I took a minute to read some of the reviews of that body on the MP, and while most of the furries who use it do appreciate it, I noticed several complaints like poor rigging on the shoulders. Those are indications of a lower quality body, regardless of mod potential, and the furries are basically just taking whatever they can get so they can wear their clothing that was designed for human bodies. I think they should be grateful anything like that even exists.

They should have expected him to just drop it the moment it wasn’t useful to him.
