    I have known DATRIP for years and can honestly say he is an asshole on a personal level and even he will even admit that. I am not his friend and have nothing to do with him or his brand and am not here to defend him as a person but I am here to defend him for what he has created for many in this game over the years because I personally know how hard he has worked.

    • Datrip is one of the very first designers in SL to design great men’s clothing.
    • Men did not even have cool pants in SL until Datrip made them in 2009.
    • He is extraordinarily talented – everyone knows this.
    • He creates all his own mesh,textures and designs.
    • He is the BEST and I believe the only successful UNISEX designer in SL.
    • He has one of the biggest stores in SL and is continuously bombarded with requests.
    • When he has time and available he ALWAYS goes out of his way to help customers.
    • He has created thousands of items – almost 3000 actively listed on marketplace alone.
    • He has worked harder than any designer I know in this game ALONE to achieve what he has.
    • He is so focused when he works that he most likely did not notice your message.
    • He supports new fairs, businesses, clubs and charities and people.
    • The amount of clothing he has given away to people is probably as much as he has sold.
    • His brand and designs and quality have been nothing but consistent in style.
    • The amount of overall releases that he has done is probably more than most designers.
    • He has been one of the most fashion forward designers out there.
    • He is one of the most generous people I have met.
    • He has always supported both the black and gay community in SL since he started..
    • He has spent HOURS upon HOURS for years to create LEGAL INSANITY.
    • He is a 100% self-taught creator who had NO HELP.
    • He has helped so many other creators in game get started.
    • He has stood the test of time as a creator.
    • He has been a tireless supporter of the creative music community in SL.
    • He is a massive sponsor and always has been to other businesses.
    • He is truly one of the best designers and legendary in SL.
    • Whatever you think of him everyone agrees he has earned his success.
    • He has a CSR that can assist you.
    • If you have such issues why not message the group? Someone would respond.

    Imagine being busy at work and someone just walks up to your desk and EXPECTS you to stop everything you are doing to respond to them instantaneously? In a virtual world where there is so much PURE GARBAGE created in fashion why would you attack one of the best, consistent and truly hardest working designers in here? Maybe he has a life? Maybe his world does not revolve around you? When I buy something in RL and I do not like it do I call up the designer personally and am mad they do not answer me? Do I say “Get me Armani on the phone right now!!!” No…I call their reps and complain and then I AM ASSISTED. I am really tired of seeing people on here attack designers.

     ? If you don’t like the item..don’t buy it.
     ? If you don’t like the fair…don’t go man.
     ? Don’t like the ad? Look away.

    People need to STOP harassing designers that are here TO SERVE YOU THAT ARE TAKING THE TIME, DEDICATION AND HOURS TO CREATE FOR YOU. Do you know how much time it takes to design, create and market an item in this game and be successful at it? Do you think they just fart these out for you? They spend days on one item for your 400L.

    If that is too much L for you…guess what? DON’T BUY IT. WEAR FREEBIES.

    Let’s start giving credit where credit is due people and not just go and trash creators in world because we just did not “like” that item or the service or even them as a person. Let’s stop being so entitled and discouraging talented creators that have been here a LONG time working hard to give you a product to make your SL better with your negativity.

    Yes…many of them make a ton of money. AS THEY SHOULD for how hard they work.

    Moral of the story: If you don’t like any of it – F*ck off and go make your own clothes ? 

  2. Boyberry has always sucked. Not only the quality of their clothing, but the way they also use trademark symbols (see their Halloween costumes) and somehow get into events.. Dead ones of course, but still.

    Also the owner is an outrageous prick that’s an admin at the popular London sim. If you’re trying to have a civil conversation about a topic in group chat, instead of just dropping it or changing subject if it offends him, he will just straight eject and ban. “I don’t take kindly to those kinds of things.” When everyone around him was open minded and having a healthy conversation he came in with the ban hammer like some sort of god complex.

    He’s truly one of the creators I wish he’d stop making stuff. Or cutting corners.

    9.) Personally I love CC regardless. Every sim has ups and downs. I think a lot of us were baffled at the most recent mod choices but as long as they stay out of my way, I don’t put much thought into it. No problems with anyone with the last name Knight though. I’m confused by that part of your post.

Mixing and matching shit is the way to go during this pandemic because funds just aren’t as plentiful as they used to be. Sure, having the newest stuff would be nice but I like having what I need in RL versus what I don’t need in SL.  ?

  45. 3. Careful. You’re going to bring out the Lelutka lovers and their tech support by the swarms to call you all kinds of unsavory things. I’ve had this problem too. If you search through the SL help forums, there’s a few people asking for solutions. That might help. Using the applier hairbase instead of the Bom one solves the problem entirely but with Lelutka that’s not an option. It happened with every hairbase and I’m on a good PC and I play on Ultra. I don’t think it’s a Lelutka problem though. It’s probably how the hairbases are being created. I stopped wearing hairbases and buy from hair creators that have nice hairlines already, like Tram. I didn’t know that there were half hairbases out there. Might try it

    • True, it’s not the head but the people making the hairbase. I have plenty of hairbases that don’t bleed through the neck like that. A lot of older ones too that weren’t specifically made for any mesh heads.

I especially hate this build when a sim has a forced landing point nowhere near the store I’m trying to find (looking at you, Luas). My praises go out to stores with simple builds and organizational skills (dresses one area, casual in another, etc.).

This past week there were several who don’t offer demos and who don’t actually show the HUD color options in the vendor ad. If I can’t see what colorways I have in a piece of jewelry, guess what? I’m not going to buy it. If you’re worried about copybotting (or coopybooting, lol), timed demos are a thing, but put a freaking HUD in there.
