    • OK so I went there, subscribed to the group (thanks for the hint) and visited the venue.

      I mean, it’s a gorgeous place…! big, wisely furnished, full of options (some of them funny, you need some fun in places like this), really good looking and detailed.

      It’s the exibitionist’s dream… all glass floors at first level, lots of railingless stairways which give you some additional thrills, elevator with the metal grill floor… Mostly open spaces…

      I don’t know about the old place, but can you all please elaborate on what is “shit” in the present location…?

AND lastly, that little Jade Pono, wakes up and sees she is dealing with a viper nest with Anastasia and all her lies, she will ruin that girl

It’s a pity some of the better women’s clothes designers don’t branch out and offer men’s items. I think Neve would be excellent for men’s clothes, as they have good sportswear that doesn’t look trashy.

    • Some I like have been mentioned already. Yet in my favorite ones, who in my opinion deserve more love, I am tempted to say MGMen’s and Semller/Hiemal (? not sure if they are the same person or not). The realistic details in their stuff (folds, fabrics etc.) are simply out of this world.

    • We never purchased things at websites. We used to work with a freelancer a long ago. We’ve ordered this model from a freelancer in 2016. And later after he made the job and got a payment, he cheated and put the model on the website for sale. You can check this info by looking at the posting dates on our flickr and at the website

      • No, that means you are a reseller. Period. The events that she’s in are not original texturing events they are original mesh events. Unless you’re making a skin or appliers.

        The creator is the person hired to make your mesh for you. If it is a collaboration of people it needs to be clearly stated to all events that Tetra has taken part in. Otherwise, Naya is claiming the work as her own. Which is what she’s been doing. That’s a lie. It’s misleading and false advertising. She’s taking spots from other people who do their own work.

        It’s rather embarrassing that people are defending this behavior. There are lots of people working hard to get into events and doing the work all on their own.

        How do you think this works when a store is made up of multiple people?
        Where one person makes the mesh and another makes the textures and another rigs?
        Many big stores are like this. Madpea, Blueberry, Alchemy/Foxes… None of the items for these stores are sold outside SL, so how does that, by your definition, make them resellers?

      • @Ginger I don’t think anyone is talking about teams, I think the reference to do it “yourself” from MrClue was directed at the team doing it themselves not the individual. Here is what is happening :

        • People who outright buy meshes from these sites and resell them. That is a huge No when it comes to digital content. Because you can resell what you bought at unlimited quantity. This is not like you buy a physical object then selling that 1 object to your friend or a stranger. That is exactly why DMCAs and digital laws were created to protect digital content. Not to mention sites like DAZ and CG trader even specifically mention resell on second life in their TOS.
        • Then you have people who buy meshes or download them then make small modifications to them and resell them on SL. Examples of this is Entice, Noble Creations, Mangula etc This is also a huge no and is stealing others work. This is harder for untrained eyes to notice, because certain adjustments are very easy to do, and certain adjustments not possible. When evaluating this you need to have a strong meshing background to spot them.
        • Then you have people who hire meshers to mesh for their brand, but claim they are the artist and designer behind every item. In reality all they do is fine an image on pinterest, send it to a mesher, then take it from the mesher and give it to a rigger, then draw a smiley face on the textures the mesher made for them and call it “texturing”, then proceed to make a FB post before their release talking about how hard they worked and how much their “fans and followers” inspire their “designs”.

        The 3 scenarios above make up roughly 95% of SL designer scene. I hope I don’t have to explain why each of those cases is very wrong, illegal or unethical, or just flat out silly.

      • Resellers buy finished products and resell them to their customers for the purpose of making a profit. Resellers do not modify the products they buy.

        At any rate, all the big events specify that you must sell items that are exclusive to your store, not that only one person makes everything. The only issue events have are with items being purchased from external websites, because then they are not exclusive to the store.

        Clearly you have no idea about the big events, because you are likely some salty tiny store, busier trying to ‘expose’ the successful stores than actually improving your own.

      • So you do not make your own mesh but claim to be a 100% original mesh creator? How is that any different than buying stuff off of Marketplace, texturing it and selling it? This storyline has gotten old from brands capitalizing off of professionals and having no real talent of their own. You then lie to the public and event owners that you’re some remarkable creator, but it’s really someone else all together. As I stated before, I sincerely hope Collabor88 sees this and you’re removed from the event to make room for people who do make their own stuff that get left out because of people like you.

        This is all assuming their story is real, all evidence of that mesh’s topology suggests that it was not made for SL originally. It is way too lowpoly for it to be a SL product, no one “commissioning” someone to make something for sl for them would ask for such a lowpoly count.

      • That topology is just fine for SL. What kind of lag inducing crap are you making? Higher poly items are suitable for rendering, for games and virtual worlds like SL, that topology is perfect.

        The only reason you would be making higher poly than that is if you had zero clue what you were doing, aren’t doing high poly to low poly baking, and are just spitting shit right out of MD into SL.

        Interestingly enough, the design process is different and clearly stated. A designer comes up with a concept. They very often themselves make a pattern for said product then it’s sent to sewers to make for the designer. This process is not deemed acceptable in SecondLife, at least not by events. Events, require YOU to design, mesh, texture, rig, box and display your items. We can ask Collabor88, Fameshed, Anthem, and all the others what their take is because that’s how they spell it out when you join these events.

      • That’s not what Original Mesh means, though. Original mesh means that the design was rendered specifically for the store. It doesn’t matter who does it. Lots of shops have collaborative processes. One person sculpts, another person textures, maybe a third person rigs or scripts. Making these items is complex, detailed work.

      • Is funny, how others think, that original mesh in SL means, that you can order it and after sell it inworld. Like this, everyone can be then designer in SL. But nope, original mesh means, that you sketched it, created it, made textures, etc… ALL PROCESS! If you buy mesh, order mesh, whatever, you are not original designer in SL, you are just simply reseller.
        And BTW… This was not any order. Polycount of that item is too low for SL for being jacket and skirt together. If Tetra really order that item, she will not ask for this polycount. She will ask for more. This item was made for rendering, not for SL, what everyone, who have at least little knowledge about mesh, can clearly see…

        There’s a few parts to the discussion in this thread that should be addressed:

        1) There’s a difference in a vendor or ad stating “original mesh” and someone claiming they have done work they haven’t, if you are construing those points together then that’s your fault. Saying something is “original mesh” is only speaking to the fact that the mesh itself was created specifically for that creator or by that creator. You won’t find it used by other creators in other projects or platforms (on or off SL) unless they obtained it illegally. On the flip side of this point it also doesn’t guarantee originality of the design itself because the claim has nothing to do with any other fascet than the mesh itself. You’re crossing the ideas of “original content” as a broad term and “original mesh” as a specific term.

        2) MrClue is ill-informed about event requirements. Events do not require one single person to do every step of the creation process. They require that your creations be original and not be able to be sourced through 3rd party sites or marketplace templates/sellers. Again, these events are speaking only to the accessibility of the items’ source materials. This is to ensure product quality in their events to maintain a standard. As a participant in events he’s named in addition to other large events with restrictions, I’ve watched stores get bounced out in violation of the rules he’s referring to. So I can say with certain confidence that he’s mistaken in his interpretation.

        3) Discussing the integrity of the terms “creator” and “designer” and how it is applied in SL is arguable in that it has two uses in our in-world lexicon. There is the literal meaning that people are fighting over here, and the broad application of the terms to store owners. The way things stand, is that unless a store owner is saying “yes I created all this myself” and they actually didn’t, it is still acceptable within SL spheres to call them these titles as catch-all terms that are used interchangeably. It may not be ideal, but this is a reality in our contained social ecosystem.

      • @Nata should we contact the creator on CGTrader and ask their side of the story? Worst case scenario you bought the mesh and sold it on SL against their ToS. Best case, you cheated that artist in some way and he did that to try to recover some of his losses.

        I have heard stories of SL brands hitting up artists and bait them to make meshes as an “art test” for a full time job, then take their “test”, sell it on sl and not hire them. Effectively getting free meshes made.
