Second Life is nothing more than Canal Street in New York.

    #1 – I really hope there are no more posts about people going on alts. I mean, you guys have no idea how many times I have left games or forums only to come back a few weeks later. I mean, how many times have you said you are going to exercise more and then never do?

    These types of posts are truly bottom of the barrel.

    #2 – Actually put some degree of effort into the post well done.

    #3 – That meme is so three months ago. The current trend for memes is saying, “Imagine ________” IE: Imagine using an outdated meme format.

    #4 – If they were truly stealing, they would be out of business. Before you start accusing people, which could very well impact their business, I suggest you look into things and take a mature approach – impossible for you, I know – and try and resolve the issue like the adults you are.

    #5 – Yikes.

    Despite what you say and spew, they are still designers. It is the same as the trashy people making clickbait articles every week are still considered to be journalists and/or news reporters. There are sub-branches.

    There is a lot of designing done in mesh creation. Have you actually sat down, opened blender, and tried to make something? It really is a time-consuming, thought-driven, extensive designing period. They use references, sure, but so do real life designers. Everything you see is based on something else. No one is trying to reinvent the wheel, just change how it looks. The shirt you are wearing is nothing more than an inspiration from something else.

    As I have said before, if Second Life creators were original and perfect, they would be making a lot more money creating things for AAA studios and animation companies. Hair creators pull from references, clothe creators use reference, furniture creators sue reference. All of this is fine as using inspiration and reference is fine. There is nothing wrong with seeing a chair on Google and making it in Second Life.

    There is something wrong with ripping mesh from other platforms and then selling it. There is an issue with tattoo creators (some) cropping designs from social media platforms and then selling them. That is what we should be focusing on.

    #9 – My lord, the spelling and grammar. Quite fit for a post about a motorcycle club in Second Life. They are all cringe.

    #12 – Not being supportive of someone does not make you abusive. I did not support a lot of what my ‘friends’ did when I was younger. However, on Second Life, you can just delete them and move on. You lose nothing by cutting them out of your life and it is insanely simple to.

    Someone making you upset? Block. Someone making you feel scared? Block. Use your heads.

    • I too, knew cas. He pulled me in with his sob stories, of how people didn’t like him, wronged him, etc. Always played the victim card. There were quite a few things that didn’t add up. He hops on alts when his lies, and bullshit have been exposed. Sure, having alts is somewhat the norm in SL, but it is not the norm, when you make 2-4 more, to keep running from people who genuinely cared, simply because you’re bored, and your shit was exposed.

One time I was unable to pay my tier because something happened with LL that caused my credit card to lock-up, which then caused LL to block my account from purchasing Lindens. I notified Katya regarding the issue and forwarded all of the corrospondence that I had with LL. She was very understanding and allowed me to keep my sim until the situation with LL was resolved. After 7 days I was able to by Lindens and pay my tier. I also paid the back pay on it as well. Katya did not have to do that and I was so grateful for her trust in me to not kick me from my sim or lock it down. I am not sure how you think you have been scammed. W Real Estate has been around for a while. Perhaps provide the proof of fraud…provide a valid arguement to your case before posting an attack on someone. Katya and her staff have always provided me and my friends with top notch service. I just have a tough time believing that you have been scammed.

    • We have rented a homestead and then a full sim from Weezles for 3+ years now with NO problems. They are slightly lower priced than other estate companies too.

If she didn’t like a certain designer for whatever reason, she would repeat that same lines over and over every time she comes across the designer, even though its a completely new item. She likes holding grudges on those designers. So then those designers’s names becomes an ingrained bad taste to her viewers. Her viewers support her so they wont buy from those certain designers and it becomes a running joke.

    But for designers that had bribed Naria and friended her, Naria would only praise them everytime and is careful to say things when she doesnt like their item: “i love their items but this week i am not going to buy it”, “i already have similar item”, or any sort of excuse to not insult them. She is not a honest person. So fake. Why do people think she is giving honest opinions?

    • The Chungs are literally why I was driven to straight up buy a sim from LL. After consistently having to move from one shitty parcel to another because of neighbors who weren’t held to the covenant of the sim, I finally land a ‘prime’ piece of land. Large, good prim count, waterfront on the connected continent they offer. After a couple of weeks, lag on the land becomes unbearable. Come to find out, a sex club has been constructed in the sky to my right. Complete with animesh sex dolls that are constantly running. I have a good computer and I couldn’t even MOVE on that parcel.
      Keep in mind, nothing was said to these neighbors. However, on another parcel I had from them, I was reamed after several weeks of being on the same bit of land, with the same decor, that my privacy fence would have to come down. The kicker is, my fence wasn’t even past the “allowed height” and it was shorter than the trash one that was next door to mine.
      Being rid of them is worth the added monthly cost.

    • Really @ Chungs? I get lower price through them than over half the land I’ve ever seen listed. Currently paying 987 weekly for 2011prims. Maybe you should check the sites more? Whereas I go to other places in SL and they want close to 1per1 if not some even wanting over 1per1.

  33. #24 I always hear people throwing fits over events. If you want some entertainment, get into the blueberry groups during a sale. The amount of freaking out before they had 3 sims was epic. People demanding that there be more sims during a week long sale, others not realizing there is actual cam sims they could use that would be close to empty yet they couldn’t get in. People crying in chat because others are just there standing around afk FOR HOURS. Some get called out on that one, asking how they knew they were there for hours unless they were watching that avi themselves for hours. It amazes me every time. I understand the whole wanting something now now now, but they expect everyone else to just clear the sim so they can shop first. Not like the clothes are going to magically disappear if they don’t buy it the moment it opens or a sale starts.

    • And seriously, there is nothing more basic than wearing a new release the day it comes out with the rest of the clones- especially if they wear all the pieces together like someone who has no idea how to make an outfit.

  34. Wish I could upvote 5. This is truth. It’s gotten progressively harder to make a buck in SL, and it’s taken a big leap in difficulty this year. It’s coming at sellers from both ends; SL taking a bigger cut, player base falling, and mesh changes and new bodies meaning more and more work goes into any clothing release. Market saturation meaning much more is required to create decor items that will actually sell. Anyone doing this full time and maintaining the work schedule necessary for regular releases for the small amount they will net should not also be expected to be some sort of creative genius. It’s unreasonable and unrealistic. The day the Truth group told us Truth got a real job should have been a huge heads up to everyone. He was once the highest grossing creator on the grid. I’m glad SL made creation from scratch a realistic enterprise for so long, but it’s not anymore.

    • Stores like TRUTH that focus on just one type of content run into the trend phase where they eventually phase out when more skilled creators come along. As per female hair, it happened to ETD Elikatira Tiramisu Designs. She was the top hair maker in the 2007-2010 era but dropped off the charts when people more skilled meshers came along like… Truth. Now the same happened to him. No content is really safe from the aging effect. Another example is AITUI. He used to be #1 in tattoos but now his content and AV models are so dated. He, like ETD, are grasping at straws buried in better 2019 content. — Also, people get burned out. Imagine making mesh hair for years and years.

    Idea 1: checkerboard grid?! Are you crazy?… 1st off no one is there to “people watch” most have everyone else derendered so that the booths rez quicker. If this happens do you realize this would cause a bunch more lag & people would have trouble moving to these other grids to get out of the way of others also this would cause huge issues with Creators setting up & possibly a bunch of other problems I’m not even thinking about because I’m facepalming this so hard right now.
    Idea 2: a time limit?…buahahahaha and only for an hour?… Dude it can take at least a 1/2 hr or so for the vendors to fully rez to even see what you are buying then you have to consider the time it takes to get demos & try said items on & then actually buy what you want… a “serious shopper” can end up spending a couple of hours at the event before even buying & sometimes makes several trips back & forth to deal with demos and buying things at intervals because they can’t afford everything all at once… so your less & less time limits down to just 5 min would cause it so people can’t even find the vendor they are looking for much less buy stuff before they get booted.
    So… could you please sit down and Shut Up because you haven’t really thought any of your ideas through Thank You.

The problem is that it requires sim-wide listening scripts that will literally have to read every avatar on entry and that can lag out a sim as bad as the 42 attachments points always used by at least 2/3 of the people-watching avis (and shoppers) who don’t know how to take things off when going to large-scale events. It’s still a more viable idea than the checkerboard idea though as it boots them automatically. I remember when I used to go to the stores in Monthly Midnight Madness, some of the sims that participated had their sims set up where it clears the sim every 15/20 mins. While it’s a hassle, it’s effective in keeping people who are only interested in standing there out and helps people get through the process.

    • There’s a difference between telling it like it is and making fun of people. That’s a common claim people make to justify being a bully. Naria isn’t stating any facts about the people she bashes, she’s just using them for punchlines. I’ve seen her sweet side, it comes out every now and then on her videos. If she were to actually let that side be her dominate side, she would probably feel better about herself and wind up providing the SL community with some valuable insight that most vloggers avoid for the sake of being diplomatic.

    24. I wish creators would make demos of their items available at their main store so I can try on the items there. It would drive traffic to your store and help traffic at the event sims. So much time spent just trying to get into the event on top of time spent just trying to search the full sim for the one item you want to test out. It is an exercise in aggravation.

    • Putting demos in your store during events actually does not increase traffic. But knowing how people in SL are, consumers will have something else to complain about such as having to tp to different stores for a demo instead of it being in one place. Just wanna point that out.

      • They can do both? There are actually creators who do this (put demos and the landmark in their store, along with the ad for the item, but have demos at the event too). I think it’s wonderful but I don’t make use of it often because I don’t think to look for it unless the creator makes a point of advertising that. I would be nice if it were standard. I could make decisions at the stores and make a list of what I actually want, then spend less time clogging up the event, and be happier that the demos are actually easy to find and rezzing properly.

        Event creators probably don’t want that though, because they WANT you to spend time camming or walking around trying to find what you want, so that you’ll hopefully get interested in something else you happen to notice at the event, but weren’t looking for.

      • I’ve explained this very clearly before- Second Life is not a game because it has literally none of the components of a game. There are no established stories, no goals, no levels, and no way to die, win, or lose. It has the fact that’s it’s a computer program in common with PC games, but that’s literally the only thing they have in common mechanics wise. You can create games in Second Life, but that still makes SL the platform and not the game. This is really quite simple and irrefutable.

        The only people who insist that SL is a game are those who don’t want to be held responsible for what they say and do while they’re logged in.
