  4. 11 – Why are there so many haters on this body that do not even own it? I personally never purchased the TMP body. When I tried on Legacy, I was super impressed. It is an amazing mesh body regardless of it’s designers past. And no, the deformers that come with the body do not look any different to anyone else. What you see is what everyone else sees. Educate yourself if you make a claim against a product. If you choose not to buy it…then don’t but hate to break it to you, Legacy Body is definitely a thing. Also, being in the Legacy groups they send daily notices and often join in on conversations. I would say they are very involved this time around.

      • TBH the only time I cared for this twat’s sl sex life was when she was harassing one of my rp members, trying to get them to allow her to be their side piece in game. This guy didn’t see it for his character, and she kept on by sending him soft core porn pictures of her characters. We issued a warning and she flaked on us after that.

        What she did outside of the rp never mattered to me until she started dragging us in roleplay groups in vague terms about how all roleplay games needed to be all inclusive and that she should be allowed to do what she wanted with her character in them despite the set lore.

        She went after two things I care[d] for – my friends and my rp. I do not feel guilty for calling her out – ever.

This place does infact have skyboxes where no users are able to access unless given prior access to the area.. Moshi’s sim does this and has a bot that invites you to the “R-18 sectiosn” but they do not prevent underage looking avatars from accessing these areas.. prior to that the wiki also says:

    Yes, child avatars are allowed in Adult regions, as long as they are controlled by a person who has verified themselves to be at least 18 years old. However, the avatar should not be in proximity to sexual content or activity; and must obey the policy prohibiting sexual ageplay.

    So these are actions that can be deemed as agepaly duje to the nature of these avatars looks. Most of them are just hangouts for people to chill, afk and people watch, or shop. There are very few that are actually related to sex acts.

    • As someone who has worked within events, it is absolutely true. Some designers will not touch an event if Seraphim doesn’t cover it. Many people want to think that Seraphim doesn’t matter, to you maybe not. To events such as Fameshed and Belle, probably not. They are well established events. But to events that are trying to gain notoriety, absolutely it makes a difference.

        I’m sure they make a lot of money on the page views too, and they aren’t doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, so what do they need “credit” for? But it’s true, for me at least, that I’m pretty unlikely to even remember an event if it’s not showing up on Seraphim. Uber, Colab, fameshed, and the Arcade being the exceptions. If you aren’t that big and that long running, some people (maybe lots of people) won’t even remember you exit without that kind of warehouse listing service to keep you in people’s awareness. I’m also way more likely to bother to go to an event if I see something I like in the Seraphim listing. The ones they don’t provide galleries for, that have no links to an external gallery, I generally skip, just because I don’t have the desire to walk around a laggy even trying to rez everything there.

      • I think they deserve credit if they cover your event for FREE. the only thing you pay for is advertising and thats entirely optional. they have to take probably over 60 pictures per event and get them all posted in a timely manner before the event owners. and for small and new events that dont have seraphim, its basically like event suicide at that point

I don’t think many businesses around SL do business out of “the kindness of their hearts”. Seraphim makes money for the owners because they worked hard for it. They cover events for FREE though. They do not charge people to cover their event. They make that money up in advertising because businesses in SL know they will make even more money advertising with Seraphim. So yeah; I think you can give them a little credit.

But buy a new expensive body that the masses don’t flock to, and you have a chance at doing something that looks original. Are they suckers for caring about that? Those who actually create their own shapes might see value in something that others don’t. Yes, the sliders do help, however you need to start off with the right “frame work” . Which is what the different mesh bodies give us. Maitreya needs an update badly. I won’t even mention the Freya…

      • The body was in beta, fucktard, and that implies updates by definition. It never came out of beta. You are factually wrong, period. I love watching people scramble to try to justify being marks. It’s far easier to fool someone than to convince them they’ve been fooled, and it’s all ego.

        Plenty of other creators contribute to SL. For instance, you won’t find a TMP booth with gifts in it at the SLB16 event… nor did they ever do anything like that, and there’s no reason to assume they ever will in the future, given their history.

        I never said anything about similarity or fit, but I do know that deformers visually glitch on a regular basis and anyone depending on them is probably looking like a horror movie creature to others on a regular, but shhhhh don’t think about that. I’m sure it’s worth it LOL

If that’s not working for you, that’s fine (it sure as shit doesn’t do anything for me) but then maybe you aren’t actually into BDSM. And don’t get me started on in-game personas vs the real world. If you expect everyone to be the same in real life as they play in-world, you are going to be deeply disappointed. It happens, but it’s the exception rather than the norm.     • Gee.. Where to start? IP is not JUST the abbreviation for Internet Protocol. In the land of business and finance, IP refers to “Intellectual Property”. As far as the copyright infringement goes – for Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony that also includes their models – meaning their consoles and controllers. As tech giants they actually care how their products are depicted. These items weren’t “inspired” they were a direct ripoff of a game controller that is currently sitting in my living room.     • That’s not the way Linden Labs defines Intellectual Property infringement. In fact their ludicrously short qualification exam to upload mesh has that specific thing as one of their questions, and informs you that no, you can’t just use a different name. But on some level it doesn’t matter how LL defines IP infringement. Unless you have a boatload of cash to go to court to try your luck there, IP infringement is anything the original creator says it is. It’s certainly been held up in court for WAY less than exactly copying a design and just changing the name.

      That having been said, Microsoft and Nintendo don’t seem to care what people do in SL. Virtually everything sold in SL could be challenged on copyright grounds by someone, but nobody is going to bother to spend the money to go to trial to squeeze blood from a stone. DMCAs are cheap though, and if you care so much about infringement, report the SL product to the company that created the original version. Maybe they’ll file a DMCA and that will be the end of it because LL will absolutely make the creator remove it then. Otherwise, they don’t bother to enforce their own TOS. It’s just there for plausible deniability.

    Ok so here’s how the story went. From what I gathered.

    Quan and Jerome were in a relationship at one time and broke up.
    Mind you, Jerome is a bisexual man RL. Quan is a homosexual male RL and SL he uses female avatars. After Quan and Jerome broke up, Jerome started a relationship with Nikita Walker. Quan and his friends found it disgusting at the fact that Nikita and Jerome are in a relationship. Showing complete disregard for Jerome’s bisexuality and the fact he likes both men and women.

    Out of spite and jealously Quan ( along with his SL friends Ezekiel, Oliver Heather and Evol Mali) started stalking Nikita and body shaming as well as making fun of Nikita RL looks and so forth. When Nikita brought this issue to the light.
    Quan and his friend decided to play the victim and blame Nikita for starting this drama ( with no receipts).
    So Nikita went on Facebook live and address the issues as well as providing additional receipts.
    Proving that Quan and his friends think it’s disgusting for a man who is openly bisexual to be with a woman
    Mind you these are all gay men attacking Nikita Walker who is a female RL. Nikita is in a real-life relationship with Jerome, this goes beyond SL.

    It makes me sick how the rest of the Gay and Lesbian community looks down on bisexual people and exploit us as well. They don’t accept us, think it’s a phase. Yet they want the rest of the world to accept them. When they can’t even accept those within their community. Unbelievable.

    • I think most that accepts LGBTBBQ accepts all those within. It is just that particular gay dude is jealous and is acting irrationally and acting out. So dont take it too personally.

      • It’s getting better but there are definitely sections of both the gay and lesbian communities that shun bisexuals and treat them as lesser because they’re not entirely homosexual. It’s sad.

    • Now, this is my personal opinion regarding Bisexual individuals. I view them as more enlightened and equal opportunity. Someone who is bisexual is not constrained by gender but are much more interested in what really matters, who the person really is inside, that they are interested in. Just my 2 cents worth.

But, to body shame women who are toned and healthy is just as bad as body shaming those who are heavier. I know I know, but the “model” body has been normalized. I don’t know if you have checked, but so has larger bodies. Larger bodies are NOW normalized, so can we move on? There will always been people who hate on others size. But, as a society I think we have normalized large bodies pretty well. And let us all be honest here, most obese people are NOT healthy, there are some who ARE. Just like MOST people underweight are usually unhealthy in some way.
