        When i started coming on SL…it felt very hush hush… don’t share chat logs, NEVER give personal info and all that shit… Lately on the homepage some of the LL posts were things like “start a SL family” and the “Love in SL” short youtube video shows they have going on.
        They’re using peoples hearts to make money. lol
        Dating sites do these things by pay per membership i know BUT SL is kind of different when you get more of a feeling you’re actually spending time with someone.
        They know they can pretty much hike the rates to whatever they want… because people using it as a love connection WILL find a way to come up with the funds to keep that feeling they get from it going…(just like the nigerian scammers being nice to lonely men & women they end up milking tf out of.)

  3. #26 Shooters, Glamour too, used to be good clubs. Until one of the Owner’s, namely Dom, showed his true colours as a fuck slut. He just couldn’t keep it in his pants. He’d fuck all the clients, giving them freebies to keep them coming back because he was desperate to have a full club all day every day. He’d spend all his time on stage dominating the microphone not giving the other lads a chance to speak or do their thing, which led to only him really being tipped. If others got on microphone he’d butt in and talk over them. He really did hate not being the center of attention. He would frequent other clubs just to fuck the escorts and dancers there, then go back to his club and fuck his customers and talk shit in IM with his staff about the sexual activities. It really became annoying. This’s probably why his “wife” left him. He was fucking every escort out there and ignoring her. Most of the staff he has currently at the clubs hate him. We all hear it. All the juicy details of what goes on at that club behind closed doors, from how the staff are treated, to how the staff are bitched about behind their backs. I wonder if Dom is aware that his own Management doesn’t even like the clubs they manage? It’s amusing listening to them whine to other clubs.

        Without really looking at the picture, simply because I do not need to, I can tell you that you are right and that it is ageplay. However, ageplay is not against the rules. If you are getting annoyed, doubting me, or just not understanding, go and read Linden Lab’s Terms of Service.

        Ageplay is where an adult roleplays as someone younger (or older) than their real age. It can be sexual in nature, which is not allowed on Second Life, or completely PG. It is possible to roleplay as a child or a pre-teen and have a boyfriend or girlfriend and no one can judge. If it is sexual, then it is against the rules.

        The key issue is that it is done by two consenting adults, which is what makes it hard to draw a line. I see people compare it to paedophiliac behaviour and that just causes confusion because how do you address girls calling their boyfriends ‘daddy’? That is sexual ageplay because they are, in all senses, playing as a younger girl. Sure, there is the exception, but it is a fine line.

        To me, I am not invested enough in other people to care about what they do on a virtual platform. I would rather they get their urges out on pixels rather than real people where their actions ruin lives. To me, they are adults and are both consenting. No one is getting hurt.

        However, I can also see how people can be upset because where does the line stop? That is the issue because it does not stop and some people step over it, but others do not.

        And, before anyone assumes it, I do not condone sexual ageplay. Not even close.

      • I knew one live mix DJ, we knew he was doing it.. we were watching him. He’s been in parades playing music, worked at clubs, all kinds of info. He couldn’t talk on stream because he was busy mixing the music. It’s 1 out of 1000 that you find that. He was good too.

        Haven’t found anyone yet. Know another mixer that doesn’t live stream it but she’s good too.

      • Using a program like Mixxx and then transitioning popular songs together is not live mixing. You are not skewing the track, pulling it back, or even stopping it to hype up the track. Nothing is pre-recorded or sampled.

        I doubt someone who cannot speak while mixing worked in a club, and if they did, they would not be invited back. The DJ is the hype man. There is not a single DJ around that just sits quietly and mixes music. There is a reason why in most things, you can hear, “Bring the beat back” which is where the beat is pulled back a bit or continued, depending on the circumstance.

        If this was about twenty years ago, I would forgive it. You just push keyboard buttons now. There is no reason to be sitting silent, no matter the genre.

      • Last he was online was about 4 or 5 years ago. He did pretty well. He worked in like 8 different clubs and then started his own, but he’s also in some tech support job as well so, he’s been offline since he moved. But, he was invited to places often.

        Clubs now, are all really just crap and so are majority of the DJ’s I’ve heard

Everything from houses to furniture to vehicles are way oversized because of giant avatars being the norm, and because people are too lazy to fix their camera settings in debug mode. I don’t care what everyone else is doing and I don’t have to adjust my avatar size to match other people’s ugly, gargantuan shapes and big thicc silicone looking Kardashian butts. If I want to make my avatar look the way I do in real life, that’s my business. I’m a grown ass woman who is short, petite and has small breasts. So I can’t make my avatar look like me, without people thinking I’m some kind of weird ageplaying pervert? That’s some BS. Also, while we’re talking about body shapes in SL, most nobody in SL seems to know how human proportions work. So many have their leg length set to 100, with those tiny Tyrannosaurus arms that end at their waist. Fun tip: Put your arms down at your sides and see where your fingertips are on your legs, it’s usually mid-thigh.

      • It still is 7.6 feet for women. My adult female avatar frequently is crotch height and she’s around 6.0. I wish people got that it’s about proportion for a lot of us though. That tall avatar in the pic? Her legs are too long. Most avatars I see look like they’re a stretched out Stretch Armstrong. Except for the arms, T-Rex syndrome is still rampant. You can’t go much above 6.0 with a typical human body before you start running into that issue so I’m gonna suggest if people *really* hate adult avatars being real heights to encourage mesh body makers to make their bodies on a larger scale. There are some furry ones that can get pretty tall and never lose proportions.

    • Agreed- there was recently another scam on SL, a couple months back of a woman begging people on SL and her FB Page for money because she was going to lose her home. She is in her 60s and lives on a fixed income in a retirement community home. The club she worked at on SL even had donations going to her. A month later on her SL profile she thanked people for the money that saved her LAND and Home on SL- it was never for RL as she made it out to be. People wake up on giving to scammers

  56. #16 i have a big avatar as well as a kid avatar, both ar separated, anyways my big avatar is short, and its not an excuse to use RL sizes as well as proportions, so not sure who got so offended by people using their rl measures, but i do get offended if people call me a kid on my big avatar because in her face she doesnt look like a kid at all, i dont like these big ass Avatars that do not even have real proportions or have a tiny Bento head, as the Bento heads only do have a limitation on the sizing , but do i have to post a secret about them?     • No, it’s not good to be disproportionately small to everything in your environment. That’s the whole point of the secret. Trying to turn it around by talking about other people’s shape proportions is both pointless and hypocritical(you’re not wrong, to be clear, but proportions work both ways). If the back of a couch is tits high on you, you’re running around looking just as stupid as someone with a tiny pinhead, t-rex arms, or oversized tumor ass- and you’re making people think you’re pedo bait. You don’t have to stop, but that’s the facts.

      • You both have points but I gotta state this again:

        There is only so much height you can gain with a typical SL body before you start to look like Stretch Armstrong and inhuman (See Secret #29 for an example). I’ve found this limit hits at about 6’0″ with the female skeleton and a body that closely follows it (Maitreya/Belleza/Slink). At that height, my adult female avatar is STILL crotch height on several avatars, she looks like a normal person next to a monster. Just because such deformity is normal doesn’t mean everyone needs to follow it.

        With that said, you should probably stick between 5’6″ and 6’0″ to be a proportionate adult. Any shorter is pushing it really hard. At least in a typical human body. My child is 4’4″ (smallest the normal SL body can get before serious deforms and proportion issues).

        If folks want human avatars to match the giant trend in SL, then mesh body makers HAVE to make their bodies bigger. There are furry avatars that can be extremely tall and keep proportions. If you want 7 feet to be normal, bodies have to be made on that larger scale.
