  1. The AEG clubs are the worst. Their “dancers” might as well be bots as mindless as they are – they wouldn’t know how to hold a conversation if their lives depended on it. If their DJs have to be constantly asking people to tip them, that should be a clue they aren’t worth their substance to begin with. Also people might be more willing to patronize their locations if they weren’t bombarded upon the get-go with all the ad boards flashing and terrible “mall” set up just to turn around and ask their patrons to skip over this by paying several hundred L$ to get access to a group with an “exclusive” back stage area so they don’t have walk pixel-miles to get to the entrances.

    Pro-tip – if you’re a club that has to subsidize your rent with hundreds of ad boards and “business in a box” schemes instead of trusting your patrons to come for DJs that know how to play a great set of tracks, you have a terrible business model and you should feel bad.

    I don’t quiet understand all the “she’s a whore” and “he’s a cheating bastard”. It’s a game. It’s not RL. A pixel dick is not marriage. People lie, trust no one.

    SL is meant to be fun, I rarely talk to half the birds who message me because i’m here for entertainment, not love. I’ve noticed that if I am out with a female friend i am messaged twice as often as if I were alone. That should tell you something. People are disgusting, the game they are playing is manipulation. Don’t like it? Log out. But stop looking for the love of your life in a virtual world.

  7. #10 The reason why SL designers do not put their items on MP straight away is because MP takes 30% cut of each item sold. As to why they have decided to to have their own sim – maybe its more convenient for them to pay 5k weekly, rather than 15k-20k for a full prim region. SL economy has dropped, and people no longer buy as much as they used to, not only because they can’t afford to spend a lot, but also because people are quitting the game, therefore there are less people who want to buy sh*t. ?

      • Don’t forget you also get charged when you are cashing it out, depending on your country you get charged aditional fees and VAT ( my country charges 20% VAT), then when you proccess credit thats what another 2.5%? When you add it up it becomes around 30%. So if I can drop 5% thats a lot for me.

  11. I would dearly love for designers to start making things for other than maitreya bodies. I was told, when I asked about it, that they have to sign a contract to ONLY do maitreya stuff if they want the info for the body in the first place. I see so many adorable clothes but they aren’t for the body I use.

    • That’s not true, at all; anyone claiming that is just trying to cover up for their own laziness or lack of rigging/fitting skill. Not only is that not true, the Belleza dev kit I know for sure is easier to get than the Maitreya one.

      • This is interesting, I asked a creator in the comments section of her Flickr if she would ever update an outfit to the Freya body. She told me she would only when “I” ask the creator of the Freya body to send her the Dev Kit… I was like Wow..

      • None of you are in an exclusive contract with Maitreya, either. As if they could enforce such a thing anyway; the entire idea is ridiculous. The only thing that’s even close to true about that is that they ask creators not to make another mesh body, not to not make clothes and accessories for other existing mesh bodies- they couldn’t enforce that either, btw.

        You know that’s true if you have the official dev kit and you’re not one of the many creators flying blind without it making “Maitreya Experimental”, because she’s such a pain in the ass to request the kit from. Meanwhile ever since the bento update, Belleza’s dev kit has been readily available, and several creators that I know personally received one are still not using it.

        Maybe *you’re* not lazy, but if you’re not rigging for at least Freya, you’re not paying attention and you have no idea how good your creations could actually look.

When one store and her friends only had the kit, and their store manager was the one taking applications for maitreya dev kit, blocking out the competition so those couple of stores could corner the market, it wasn’t until she was fired from maitreya that kits started going out. Those days you may have easily forgotten, but some of us were working through the night in tears trying to rig for a body that we didn’t have the kit for, SL was our income, it was the means to put food on the table and we were all blocked so that store that shall not be named could corner the market. Did any of you give a shit? Nope, you told us all to quit our crying and complaining and get out if we couldn’t do it. You called us lazy, while we were struggling so hard to keep our incomes and were all losing so much money over something that was such a scandal but none of you assholes gave a shit.

        What changed now? have the bodies changed? no they are exactly the same way they were, suddenly some of you have decided you are bored of maitreya and want Isis or Freya or whatever the fuck else it is that you want. None of you were hearing us when we were saying belleza bodies not only looked better they were rigged better, their kit was better, try it, see it for yourself. Nope you all wanted maitreya, saying maitreya was the best, completely turning your back to the scandal that hurt so many people along the way. Now you suddenly want us to spend our precious time rigging for a body that 10% of you use?

        No thank you, you all helped making maitreya the dominant body and didn’t stand up to the scandal, even now you don’t talk about it out of fear of consequence of those players who were involved in the scandal. Let’s not forget all this.

        I said nothing about being lazy in reference to fitting and rigging for Maitreya, and in fact I am in contempt of the Maitreya creator for being such a cunt with the dev kit- but the people who took the shit are also culpable. I never used Lara- I could tell it was inferior to Belleza even when only Venus was available- so I was never part of that pressure, and my comment had literally nothing to do with most of what you said. I was one of the people pushing for Belleza fit/rig from the very beginning, and where you got any other impression is baffling.

        Why didn’t you- meaning creators who were denied the kit- just rig for other bodies instead? It was never that hard to get other kits except TMP (which was even worse garbage) and if creators started showing how hard Maitreya made it to get hers, people would have followed suit and changed bodies to get the clothes. Instead, you gave in to pressure to create for the cheap and common, and here you are complaining about that poor decision to someone who didn’t even say anything about it; fucking asinine. You can continue to rig for a crap body, and I’ll continue to spend money elsewhere.

        As i said previously, we *DID* rig for other bodies, we tried so hard to show how great belleza bodies were, but everyone was all over maitreya body while majority of designers were blocked out from getting the kit by a very biased manager, she ended up getting fired from maitreya over it.       • You keep talking about the scandal as if all of Second Life even knew what was going on. You also seem to fail to remember that these mesh bodies have been out for a while now; they are not new anymore. New people are coming to Second Life every day – they have NO IDEA of any scandals that came before them. What they know now is that they have lots, and LOTS of options. You are right, Maitreya dominated for a long time, and that was mostly because its only competition was Slink Physique & Belleza Venus – no offense but those bodies are SEVERELY lacking in comparison to their newer counterparts, Hourglass, Freya & Isis. Had Belleza released those sooner, I’m sure Freya & Isis & Hourglass would easily be outdoing Maitreya. The fact of the matter is that Maitreya came first, updated everything sooner (bento, etc), and in general just was doing everything BETTER than the competition was. That’s not the case anymore, and yet designers have become so set in what they’re doing that they’re not listening. Those of us who shop, and LOVE to shop, and really take a lot of pride in our avatars have finally become super aware of our options elsewhere. We WILL stop shopping at stores that are exclusive to Maitreya. We WILL seek out options to find what we want.

        The issue is, you are putting so much blame on consumers and calling us assholes, all while you’re failing to see the big picture and whining about things that happened YEARS ago. It’s time to put the big girl panties on and get over it. Either cater to the people who are paying to put food on your table, or be stubborn, call us assholes, and do what you want.

Neither of the bodies have gotten any update that changes the way they look, just now people are realizing what we were telling them years ago. You should really sit down, and do your research before getting involved in this argument.

        The scandal was far reaching and was discussed all over social media platforms, and even here on this site. If you are a frequent visitor here it’s impossible for you not to know about. Orrrr maybe you also didn’t used to read slsecrets and suddenly now started coming to this site? LOL

      • @Respect Store A had a store manager who was working for store A and maitreya at the same time. She was in charge of accepting applications for maitreya kit, she got the kit for the stores she was managing, then proceeded to trashing applications from anyone she assumed to be competition. The few stores she was managing used the time to corner the market with the only reliable maitreya fits. Maitreya finds out what is going on and fires the manager, shortly after kits start going out, but it was too little too late by then. That was the scandal.

      • you are wrong about all Belleza Bodys was before Maitreya out…. it was just the Venus Beta out to this time and it was around 15 september 2014 when all the blogger got the body to test the VENUS body and send Tricky reviews, for the usually SL user the body did some weeks later come out… Tricky did many weeks push behind the realise for the normal resident of SL and Freya and Isis did come much later out, and on 31 July 2016 did come the Body Fatpack out with Venus, Freya and Isis…. to losing the mesh Body Monopol was Trickys own bad mistake, Venus was out with a very bad Alpha Hud and a not seamles Body texture on the shoulders…….. And the Maitreya did on December come out, with a better HUD and body Texture…. Tricky needed also too long to give out a Mesh body Designer KIT
        And many of the designer now get anymore the ORGINAL maitreya body, about they used the COPYBOTTED MAITREYA KIT….

  16. From someone who has lost their son to Acute Leukemia and has put up with this person’s lies long enough..

    Kira, sweetheart, you would not be given a transplant as an acute leukemia patient. With acute leukemia, it will only ever keep coming back stronger than before, therefor wasting a healthy liver on someone who is destined to die, would not make sense. And if you were truly as sick as you claim to a point where you would need a transplant, it would take several months to a year to receive one. Also, to have you in isolation means no electronics. Your cellphone and computer have germs inside and out. They would have to take both apart and thoroughly clean them all the way through to sanitize them to be used and it makes no sense to lug around a desktop computer in a hospital. And finally, if you were as sick as you claim, you would not be on SL every single day, all day long doing photos and creating.

    I am a firm believer in the saying “Those who scream the loudest are hiding the most.” and sitting here accusing your recent ex (who is hardly ever online, hardly ever blogs, and having severe money issues; all of which are signs of something actually happening in RL} of faking being sick while you scream that he is lying, is very much living up to that saying. And as it has been pointed out by others, nobody has ever heard you on voice and have only ever seen a handful of photos of you. So maybe you are screaming loudly to cover up yourself with that as well?

    I do not know Bob very well personally. I have only known him through Flickr and Facebook, but he seems to be someone who was very loyal to you, even through your very public mental breakdown on Facebook that lasted several months. I think you are someone who seeks attention in a very unhealthy way and because you no longer have attention from him, you seek to get it in this way instead. I think you need to get serious help mentally and let things with Bob go. Because even if this were true, you still dated him for a long time so it must not have bothered you until you broke up.

      Introducing external electronic devices in a room of these is a risk, if, difficult to achieve in patients with high failure provability, but it is not impossible, it happens, these devices must be treated properly, but if the doctors and the medical center see possible that, they can do it.

    • My first body was Maitreya because my friends introduced me to the body when I returned to SL.
      Once I understood the ins and outs of mesh, I tried multiple bodies. Freya, Isis, uLukie, TMP, Tonic Slim, etc. I fell in love with Freya and TMP – those are my hands down favorites. I never called anyone a lazy, bad designer. I voiced my wishes for more support for the bodies I prefer, but it has been explained to me that it is not cost effective for smaller creators. That’s fine. I accept it. I can’t spend money with you if you don’t support my bodies. It saves me money in the long run, so I am not going to sweat it.

When Maitreya first came out, I was excited by the body shape because Venus wasn’t what I was looking for. Maitreya had a way better frame to work off of. Do you not realize that the average consumer is not a designer, doesn’t know much about rigging, and doesn’t understand any of the complicated process designers go through? I had a designer friend who sat me down and let me watch her rig for multiple bodies and only then did I understand what she had to go through. Maybe if some of you acted with a little tact and took the time to speak with the people who are literally helping you make money, this shit wouldn’t leave a bad taste in our mouths.

This is why there are always surveys put out about what body is being used most, so they can cut down the amount of work.     • I know these two . The club they ran was pretty popular. When I visited back when it first started and continued to visit I have never seen any creeps. I have them on their Facebook account, They are always posting there real photos of them together so they are really twins. Not the same person. I know these two very well. It’s very sad why people would say such a thing about these two sweethearts. The both of them are very sweet.

  21. #10 seriously why write this? There are 3 sims to use. Yes it gets full, but you can cam from other sims and buy it. She puts stuff on the marketplace, just not right then and there. You won’t die if you don’t get the new release right then and there.

    • Why write this? Because Blueberry is making money hand over fist and can more than afford to open a Blueberry exclusive sim. Rather than having three scattered sims, why not have two Blueberry sims and the third for the other stores? It would be one thing if she would sell new releases at the discount prices on Marketplace, but when you have to buy them in store and can’t get in because she won’t buy a dedicated sim, she’s just playing games. (And I’m a premium user, so I can typically get in. This is for everyone that tries to buy at the release price).

      And no, it’s not my secret, I just happen to agree with the premise. She’s been at this long enough she should have her own sim.

      • I don’t know about that, I go to exhale aeg and voodoo IF aeg has a dj most the time they say hello at least, exhale many of times host and dj have been afk not talking on the mic or in local and nobody responds in the club. Voodoo most the time I get a respond. As far as I was aware bots didn’t hold a conversation? Like I rather go where I feel most welcomed, voodoo has some good djs now exhale it’s always the same people in their little groups that don’t even respond when you say hello and aeg many of times it’s on radio or just boring dead.

  37. Mornings All! As usual most of the secrets are about people I have never heard of & don’t care about .. but OMG I recognize a name this week & actually know what the “secret” is about for once… lets bring out that extra good espresso to “mark” this once in a blue moon occasion!

    Since I actually know what’s going on with #41-43 & all this deep dishing about Bob ’cause yes I have met him & have heard quite a few of the stories including the K-pop one which includes his slew of friends in SL that are other “K-pop stars” as well. … or so they say because can you really believe anything anyone says in SL?     • I went like a week to OSE , I stopped going because they have there staff and teacher meetings just to talk about everyone who is not in their families which they did in the school lobby before going into a private call. Most of the staff that run the school act like they are better then you. It just became something I didn’t feel wanted. I heard it use to be a better school, I don’t know what happened if it was. I asked a friend why it was closing and they told me it was because of two students were telling people lies and posting things on this site, however, they said that probably not true because they were the most helpful people you could find from knowing about them. They are basically getting the bad rep over a group of bored cyberbullies as some have put it. If it only was run the way it apparently use to be, i guess it would be a great school.

    • I went to OSE very briefly when it re-opened and what I noticed was:

      1 – Most furnishings sized to TDs. I always get a bad feeling when I see that, elementary school children aren’t toddlers but there were several in my classes.
      2 – Kids who talked with “ickle speak” but wrote reports that sounded like an adult wrote them and mixed RL with RP constantly. Another bad sign, it means RP skills are lacking.
      3 – Cliques. All the TDs knew each other, clustered together, and dominated the classes. I felt like an observer.

      I did enjoy the classes I attended, the ideas were fun but I decided to not stay because of the above. Wasn’t the experience I was looking for, probably why I suggest to kids to rp their own schools. This drama just solidifies that.

I remember asking about why there was a kids event named “Toddleedoo” when not all kids are Toddleedoo, only to be told that “Toddleedoo is the body of choice for SL children”. Um, no it isn’t.       • Sometimes people mean well because they want to protect a friend, so they listen to the rumors and whispers as she says, but unless you know for a fact there was cheating then you should not make that assumption. By all means if you have concrete evidence then I would show a friend too and I have, with a picture of a friends man actually cheating that got shown to me.

        In this case it was all that garbage that tore them apart, not his cheating. If you spread rumors like that you are no better than the person or persons that started this post to begin with. Assuming he was cheating for dancing on a hud with someone, in the club where he works, in front of everyone he knows is absurd and posting something like that is even more absurd.

      • I spent 7 years in a bad SL relationship. It was on and off, it was emotionally abusive. I’ve been in abusive relationships in RL in the past, but online is harder I think to get it. Some people will manipulate you into it and before you know it, you’re in that trap. I had to learn from it and I’ve decided to not be in another, Roleplay or not. I was in a bad place when he came along, he knew it, he took advantage of it. I had no self worth then, I had no self esteem. He played that well. It took a while for me to see what was going on. So, I get it… unfortunately I got it too late

        It wont happen again. I’m a better person to let another do it again (RL there were a few, one was physically abusive.. long story).

        People need to realize, SL isn’t a place you should be finding people. It drives me nuts to see people just fall all over another person before they even know who they are without boundaries. ALWAYS set boundaries, even if you don’t tell them. Listen to people when they say something isn’t right, a lot of times, when we are in victims stages of an abusive or manipulative relationship we don’t see it.. at all.

        Only one that can prevent it, is yourself, you.. too many people fall victim, fall in “love” early in chatting, treat themselves with no value without noticing that they are doing it.

        So, if you want to downvote on that, go for it. If you want to downvote on telling people to get some self esteem, self worth.. then you are part of the problem with abusive people.

      • I believe they meant the AEG clubs, like Rez and the one I can’t remember right now; I haven’t been to any of them in months, because the music is generic and the “crowds” are silent. They seemed to be dying already then; they only had bad playlist DJs and it’s too easy to find live mixing these days to bother with something Spotify does better on its own. The builds were ugly and poorly lit- yes, we can all control our own windlight, but not even bothering to set a region default that is flattering to your builds speaks to a lack of effort that disinterests me.

        If I had to guess, the head store you mean is either GA.EG or AK- the former I’ve never seen anything I would wear, so I don’t think their failure is Catwa’s fault. The latter makes really good and interesting Asian faces, but those don’t seem to be too popular inworld and the lack of support for them doesn’t help, I’m sure.

    #1- Never dealt with these 2 myself, but I have had experiences with SL carpet crawlers and they have ALL been bad. We all know that SL is indeed become a haven of misfit t oys as of late with a few good eggs in the mix. But the ones that play as kids seem to be the most damaged imo.

    #9- These “clubs” have been dying for years. Outdated builds that are lag havens chock full of bots run by a dickhole tyrant that will ban you if you don’t play by his rules.

    #10- Blueberry actually seems to be doing things right. Mainstore shopping is becoming nearly extinct inworld anymore. I’ve been on that sim before and yes it really should be moved to a higher capacity sim imo, but that can be a dual edged sword by moving to a bigger sim, you need more content but you also have to make the influx of avis able to move, walk and shop. If people spend all day trying to TPP to your shop to get an item that you put out, you must be doing SOMETHING right? As opposed to wasting all day to get into “events” that suck donkey balls.

    #18- And if you really, really , really suck than you can work @ Havoc

    #29- wow, just wow

    #48- They get covered, the problem being that there are so many events anymore that they get a blip on the main page for a few hours before being bumped into page 2-3.     #51- Why Maitreya you say? It’s much easier to only cater to the flavor of the month when you only put out 1-2 pieces at “events”.
