Note: I can’t deal with 50+ secrets every week of the same stuff. I will be only posting, at the most, 20 secrets from next week on. I will not even answer as to why I didn’t upload a secret. It was because it sucked or was stupid. I already had to trash 20 this week for being outrageously dumb. Make your secret interesting. Gone are the days of the profile screen-cap with the text “WHORE” (literally the same secret, just different people, in the last 10 weeks). If the secrets are of good readability and creativity I will keep it.

However, if the majority of you want to read through 60-70 secrets a week, by all means let me know and I won’t cull the herd.

    The person who posted this clearly reacting about no longer being allowed on the sim. Only a rejected player would post such nasty things considering that I know both player and sim and know how much of that is not true. But Gossip loves Gossip. When you have worked on sims ( I have worked on 4) you learn one common thing. The person who created the drama doesn’t stop even when they get bounced. Why? Because their pride gets in the way. This is sad because a lot of times these people have potential to be great RP’ers. I know this person both IRL & as an Admin. I have RP’ed with he on various sims, and even now I work on another sim – who she is friends with their owners too.
    I have also played at Woodcrest, they are a fun and fair sim. If I wasn’t so rooted into my own home I would be there full time. Long story short, this person obviously doesn’t know Bliss and is only out to throw shade on her name. Those who do know her, know better. Haters are going to hate.

    But let’s make sure some facts about her are known.

    1. Not that it would matter one way or the other but she is NOT a Male, I vouch as I know her IRL ha ha But nice job trying.
    2. She adores and sees good in all players on her sim, which can be a blessing and a curse as she see’s the best in some who don’t deserve it. But rather than loathing she actually cares a lot for her players.
    3. She doesn’t have time to stalk or cares to, she is working behind the curtains a lot to keep the sim going. Something most Sim Owners and Admins can relate to. Which also plays into why she doesn’t get to RP as much as she would like. But has even gone so far to help new players by gifting them all sorts of things from clothes, to cute gadgets.
    4. Don’t mistake her kindness for a reason to abuse or walk over her. She defends herself and the sim and the wellbeing of her players when it calls for it. But she will not outright insult players for the fun of it. Lets be honest if you come attacking someone don’t expect them to stand their grounds.
    5. Bans only come when called for them. In fact the sim doesn’t like to go to BAN, but rather offers warnings and tries to reach out to players and work with them. At times they may suspend for 24 hrs but they have a structure how to handle those situations to not ban as a first go to. Trolls and Griefers are often an exception … Again as it is for any sim.
    6. As for other RP sims she is known for working with them and has even stated multiple times to respect the other sims. They are only trying to do as she does. But rumors grow faster than truths. I work on another sim and she has been nothing but respectful to my sim owner. They work together and offer each other suggestions. She is well known among other Owners as being peaceful and helpful.
    7. Please explain how one demands anyone to work for her on a RP sim for free??? I bet if you went to any RP sim you would find all their staff, wait for it – works for FREE.
    8. I can personally say I have never known her to threaten anyone IRL or SL – again one of the nicest people I know and have known for years. Also to touch on TOS, their sim has a strict guidelines on following TOS.
    9. Bliss doesn’t lean towards personal Relationships/ SL BF’s for a number of reasons, but she does have a friend of whom I know is mentioned here. However let it be known two people can both have similar ideas. I don’t know him too much to say anything on truth be told so I can’t comment on that guy.
    10. There is a HUGE difference between lecturing ppl how to RP and teaching them the basic RP guidelines. 1 which is keeping IC in IC and OOC in OOC. She believes in Respecting players and players respecting players.
    I am willing to bet if anyone asked Bliss what she wants from her sim, it would be for them to have a fun experience.
    To the person who sent this in, I am sorry you are hurting and wish you the best. You clearly need a hug.

  10. Syn Beresford created Elysion from nothing and five years later it is still growing and more popular and beautiful than ever. She treats people with respect and decency and puts up with zero shit from anyone who would harass her or her members. She is always coming up with new things to delight and entertain her huge membership so that they are still receiving value from a one time join fee for months and years after that. If you are someone who took advantage of her kindness, harassed or mistreated another member or in general, acted like a child, then you probably got removed, as you should because Elysion is for adults only. Elysion is one of the venues that make SL a fun place to log into and those of you here who would bash that or try to destroy it with your lame insults are only hurting SL as a whole. Surely you have something more meaningful to do with your time than this. If not, that’s really sad and pathetic. Why don’t you people spend some time supporting people who give you a platform and creative content when you can spend your time and enjoy yourself. I assure, none of the venue owners in SL are going it for the money. If you don’t appreciate that, do us all a favor and hit the X in the upper right of your viewer.

    • Well a morph is usually uncanny valley levels of ugly. But aside from that since that’s relative, morphs use pre existing photos. 99% percent of the time the person doing the morph doesn’t own the photos they use or have permission to use it. If they’re being paid for that morph, now they’re using someone else’s work for profit. It’s pretty scummy in practice.

      • Isn’t the same logic applied to rendered ads? People using them are using avatars made by someone else, textures on those avatars made by someone else, most using poses for those avatars made by someone else, and they render their items on those avatars and none of it is even a close representation of what any of it looks like in SL. So how is that any different than someone morphing a rl image on their ad to advertise a skin? Can’t be ok with one and not with the other.

      • That’s not all rendered ads though. Some people shoot the item by itself in rendering programs (sometimes in the programs they made the item in).

        Additionally, if we’re going off your example, those materials are put out for use and may or may not allow the type of usage they’re being utilized for. It depends on individual licenses for each component. I’m not saying everyone’s on the up and up in this, but that there are cases where that kind of use is allowed by the original creator.

        Using someone’s photos is different in that I can’t really think I’ve ever seen a single photographer who uploads those types of model photos with the intent that someone will essentially Frankenstein their work for their own use… And even the ones who have flexible copyrights usually want some form of credit.

        I’m not saying at all that render images are ok (I think they’re really misleading at the minimum), I’m just explaining how morphs are viewed as sleezier.

        … And at least renders aren’t ugly as sin.

        Though maybe morphs are paid more mind because you see them outside of vendor images. For example (and this is a pet peeve of mine), you see people on Flickr advertising “SL photography” services and in their work portfolio… It’s all morphs. It just kinda feels like next-level bullshit at that point when they don’t even credit the original photo for the work. Like I’m not even trying to buy some product or anything I could be duped into getting… It’s just blatantly saying something is all your creation at that point. An example being the passage below that I’ve kept to myself for far too long it seems.
        However – To the comment of Kenz and Julez. Kenz has no actual beef with my mother. She just dislikes her because of me.
        So, story time. (feel free to throw her under the bus, idc I tried being nice). Bout two years back she faked a coma to try and get her ex’s (my bf at the time) attention. She well wait no.. her “cousin” who had her phone, gave her all the info so he knew where she was. I personally searched the hospital names in the area she said she was in (nonexistant) I called the first THREE that came up on search using the name she gave to him that she said was real. no one there.
        However mind you I knew logically she couldn’t be there… She said she was life-flighted from like… the tip of north Georgia. to somewhere mid florida. I’m sorry.. what? If ANYONE has ever been life flighted or knows someone who’s been life flighted, you know they will fly you to the closest most reliable hospital. Not a state away. OH… and she woke up like a day later saying shit to him like “I’m fine, it’s nothing I’m getting discharged in a couple hours” <_< REALLY? They'd keep you overnight after you wake up, just to make sure you're stable. FOH.
        Then months later after my bf at the time falls into her trap, he asks her for pics of her horses. She sends them. He checks them because he's always wondered if her stories are real since the coma thing. Come to find out the photo she sent was some farm in montana or something.
        I WISH I still had the fucking screenshots of all of this. Because I'd post every single thing here just for you guys to have a bit of amusement.
        But I deleted it all, like seriously… I don't hold shit against people and I've been trying to be so good to not call her out this whole time because I know most of the posts the last few months are from Kenz trying to break mom and Karson apart simply cause she doesn't want me around.
        It's been two years. TWO YEARS. I figured she was real with James. Maybe she is… but from what everyone else is saying she's still never gotten on cam or proved herself to be real. Pretty sure this whole petty bullshit was because Karson asked her for a photo of her horses she'd been bragging about and she was quick to assume I told mom or Karson about the past. which SURPRISE. I didn't. I figured she'd finally got the stick out her ass and been real. Guess not.

I will never forget when I was in her family at one point she even got jealous of me. if any attention is off of her or she feels there’s a threat she will do whatever to make the person look bad. I will never forget the time she tried to say one of her kids got stomped by a horse. and when at that time my dad wanted to send flowers to the hospital she changed her story and said that it wasn’t as bad and they were about to send him home. but mind you she made a big deal saying he would not wake up and they said it did not look good and they didn’t know if he was going to pull through. So I wouldn’t doubt at all but when it comes to anything to her real-life she would get offended because it’s full of lies and her trail from family to family is catching up to her.
        She will have caused problems between Jules and Karson. Jules is better off not being with him and she needs to keep on walking. James will start catching on. Karson well he will never change his ways and he will always have to have many in the waiting for his attention and he strings them all along. I know a few of them and all he does is sit and hint for money. And he knows they are vulnerable and give in. I do have my reasons why I dislike Jules. One being she broke the heart of someone I am close to and seeing him hurt over her just caused me to have ill feelings. But that was years ago and it’s faded off. My hate towards his family and him is due to what they do every single day and they continue to do. Unless you are one of the two individuals in a relationship, you have no clue to their dynamics. The only way and that’s sometimes in some of the cases, you will have a clue if you are a close friend and the person inside does communicate their issues. If you are on the outside, and you do not know the terms of that relationship then you have no business talking about one cheating on the other. It could be an open relationship that many Adults in both worlds have. Deal with it. You may not agree with it, but the world doesn’t revolve around your fucking ideals.

But quite frankly that was partially my fault for being naive about SL and being young at that time, and having had a very long (five years), successful relationship in SL that went into RL for quite a number of years. Thus, this one threw me off-guard. Again my fault. You have to expect the worse from others in SL and sadly in RL too and you may find one that’s a good person, but you have to ask yourself what are they running from? You will find out sooner or later what it is if you observe and analyze. That’s why I mostly just do creative projects in SL, hang out with friends and now got back into the dating, but hooked up with someone that I have been friends with for over a year. And I still don’t quite trust him, but that’s wisdom and age.

        But my dirty laundry, that person’s dirty laundry is meant to stay private. What happened is between us, no one else needs to know the details. No one needs to know his name.

I have family members on my RL FB that don’t need to see the vulgar things I think are actually funny or the (what they would think are) vulgar, rude, inappropriate conversations/comments that might fly between my friends and I. I have a filter in RL…not so much in SL (part of why I enjoy being in SL). That being said, I know there are plenty of people who use a separate FB for entirely shitty reasons, like being able to cheat for example…and in those cases it is sad and shitty.

    • Actually, yes and no. There’s also such a thing as people that can not for the life of them maintain any relationship and it’s not on the other partner but on themselves. RL relationships are a lot more complex than what American fantasy shows pick up, and even if one party tries to give all, it may not be enough for the other partner. There’s also the good old, “they are just tired of the same vagina.” Usually, men are more prevalent in some societies to cheat because it’s seen as a basic necessity for men. Especially if they have the Madonna-Whore-Complex. But I think that instead of the spouse in any world exposing the loser, they can confront the said loser and either send him to hell (Where quite a lot of SL men and women should go) or give him a chance and let him know he’s not as smart as he thinks he is. Same goes for a woman that’s cheating. Actually, scientifically and psychologically speaking men in some societies not all, are more likely to cheat even if the relationship is going well. Women on the other hand do have emotional contentment that may not be fulfilled and if that is what they are seeking in SL and their partner here doesn’t give it to them they may stray to someone else, just like they do in rl. Hell, we all should know this, since a great number of slrs are actually rl married and trying to cheat but fearing doing it in the real world. So they assume that by doing it as avatars, it’s not cheating since it’s a game.

Just because the love life in a relationship may be on the rocks, just because a woman wears a short dress it does not justify the other person cheating or raping them. If you aren’t happy you have to choices 1) you can communicate it to your partner and tell them what you are expecting that you aren’t receiving and have an Adult conversation or you can simply walk out.
