I think there is a lot more in SL that should be banned, than the family community tbh. The people i call my sl family, are also my friends, people i would (will or already have) meet (met) in RL. I can understand those who play kids and do a lot of RP only, but thats not different to those, who roleplay to be vampires or lycans or what not, you will NEVER be a vampire or lycan in RL so thats even more unreal than have an avatar that looks like a child or baby. To me personally it doesnt matter what people play or what avatar they have as long as their SL is the way they want it to be without hurting anyone. In my special case, i dont babytalk, i am a kid in SL because i dont care for the sexual world that “adults” in sl created, but i guess thats those who dont have a sexual life in RL so they need it Virtual. Anyways if you dont know about the “kid, family community” you shouldnt be so negative about it.
SL families are just a group of people deciding to roleplay. Their roleplay is as a family. That’s it, that’s all it is.
If they make the stupid mistake of not getting to be friends outside of their RP roles, then you see a lot of drama – same as you’d see in any group of rpers who don’t know or care about the person behind the screen. A lot of folks who do SL family rp had shitty childhoods, can’t have kids of their own, want to relive childhood/parenthood, or just enjoy a good family of friends in SL. For every drama llama family posted here, there are five who aren’t like that at all.
SL “kids” along with female playing male avi’s are the biggest drama creators on the grid.Its pathetic.

Pretty sure the point of the secret was that it’s not always about luck. Some of the designers set the rare drop rates really low. 5%? That’s low as hell. Lowest I’ve seen, anyway. Most drops are about 7 or 8% for a low rate.
Their point was that some of the designers in events intentionally set low rates like that to milk more L. The fact a big store like reign has a significantly higher rate than those other two in that picture is quite sad.
You don’t need to spend money on those machines to call attention to the greed.

The consumer CHOOSES to play that game. Someone mentioned last week that if you’re going to play a gacha you should probably just take a look at the whole gacha key and decide you at least marginally like or enjoy all of the items so if you don’t get the rares you’re still content. It’s a really good idea. Also keep in mind you are CHOOSING to gamble your L’s away. I’ve played gachas, I set my limit on pulls based on how much it costs and if I’m ok with receiving any single one of the items. Otherwise I don’t waste my time, it’s simple. If I can do it you can too…then it doesn’t matter what the percentages are. From a business standpoint I get setting low percentages on certain items if it was really complex to create, because you won’t be selling it for outright lindens so you have to make sure to cover the cost difference. BUT I do also get that it sucks that you’re less likely to get the item you want and it also sucks when they set that percentage on an item that probably didn’t take them anymore time or effort than whatever is common.
