I still think the whole thing is a dumbass non-issue because if you buy anything without demoing, you deserve what you get IMO, and no one is obligated to buy anything, ever. This is why we can’t have nice things in Second Life or Real Life. Because being a decent human being is seen as “not necessary” because [insert how other people are mean so it’s justified]. Once you cross that line of “it’s okay to tell someone to kill themselves”, it’s just a short hop to “it’s okay to go RL” and “it’s okay to try to ruin their lives”.

That’s not exactly what I was saying, but I’ll address it. Being a ‘decent human being’ has become a relative term in a lot of cases.
Presently we’re stuck now in a loop of people finding that things they do fall within acceptable boundaries of social interaction and the other half telling them they’ve got it wrong. Ideally, the latter group would gain ground and change the first group but that’s not really how these things always work out (look at the fight to remove uses of gay and retard from lexicon).
That’s just how life is and is part of the human condition. People are not all going to bend one way or the other always. It’s imperfect and it’s ugly but it’s reality. Where does that leave you? That leaves you with doing the right thing yourself and to know where to set your expectations for everyone else.
Using this scenario as an example, it would be -nice- if people didn’t say shitty things about people or talk about suicide like that. But it happens, has happened, and will happen. Maybe a site fueled by the type of content we consume here isn’t the best place to stand your ground on that topic. It’s a little ironic given how much else is allowed to pass through. If one is concerned with being “nice” why are they here then? That’s an unreasonable expectation.
