    • Yeah it should still contain the link. I might switch it back, but I am testing something.

      • If you ask me, it’s become very difficult to follow the threads now, when half the time clicking that link and coming here does not lead to a ‘yellow’ new post, so knowing which is new and which is old is confusing as hell.

        The comment contained in the email may take away some of the need to come to this site, but at the same time, it allows us to see what was said, then see it in context much easier when we do come.

        I am more likely to come and try to see what the new message was when it’s only one new comment – when it’s a few together, I am not going to try to sift though all the threads to see what’s what.

        Just my thoughts on it all 🙂

  8. #46 – Full of giggles that people are finally calling Tiviyah out on her bullshit. There is a reason why she has been fired from every single SL job that she has had. She was drama from the moment she rezzed into SL. Not only that but she’s been kicked from several D/s clubs/groups for Dom hopping and causing drama. She even bitched about this past Sir spending too much time in RL — even though she knew he was married and has a family. She has always treated people like shit. She completely destroyed the Peace on Earth hunt which used to be one of the best hunts on the grid. Those stores that have her as blogger manager need to dumb her ass.

      4. You clearly don’t read much, do you? I didn’t bitch about the time He spent in RL – I understood that completely. I bitched about inconsistency and going back on His word when He would commit to a time to come in, etc. Probably still a salty thing to bitch about and not really my place, but at least get my bitching right if you’re gonna bitch about it.

      6. You know, when I took over POE, it’s because the grid still wanted it to continue after Sequoia abandoned it. I was only ever supposed to be the technical side, the back-end, and a face that no one really saw. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the person who was going to be kinda the ‘face’ of it, had to step back – and because people LITERALLY wouldn’t leave me the fuck alone about whether or not it would happen. And this happens EVERY year. And speak with those close to me about how I work too much – I have a very hard time telling people no when they want something like that from me. Every year we get done with POE, I say, “Alright, I’m done. That’s not worth the headache,” because keep in mind I’d NEVER run a hunt before and just kinda got thrown in… this is all learning as we go and trial by fire… and then EVERY year I start getting messages, “I just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss the POE application.” And then it all starts all over again. So yeah – in some ways you’re probably right… I probably destroyed it because I’m sure it’s not what it once was just because I didn’t have that experience under my belt when I first started it, and have learned to do things in a way that works for me and my team… however keep in mind that I wouldn’t keep doing it if people didn’t keep asking for it. So there’s something to think about. ♥

    • I have the same questions regarding her DMCA claims and the timing of her application. It’s not final and will not be final for some time. An examiner is not even appointed yet to her application and from my understanding of the process, they won’t appoint one for approx. 3 months. Before you get a copyright/trademark, they do investigate to ensure you are not attempting to claim something that is not yours and not in conflict with any other copyrights/trademarks.

      • There is a difference between a registered trademark and an unregistered one. Both have protections in their own right but a registered one has more. The major thing that has to be proven in court to protect your trademark is its use by you. That’s why you don’t see hoards of people making logos and claiming trademark when they don’t use the logos for anything.

    • They may do something now since, in Jasim’s description of what the logo entails, she included the UV maps. Basically, the way she has worded the application, she’s claiming them as hers. To be fair, she did create some, but she heavily used the SL UV maps to make them. It’s a grey area, but the LL lawyers are going to have to figure out if it is too close to their claim on the base UV maps that they own.
      What I cannot understand is why the hell she didn’t register her mesh heads back when she first started creating them. This is not Jasim’s first rodeo in the drama arena, with claims that someone stole something from her store. She was claiming she had the copyrights back then but that is obviously not true since the application for a copyright/trademark is dated for July 6th, after she came out with all that drama regarding the UV maps from AK and GA.EG.

      • From my understanding of the DMCA rules and process, it is there to help protect you against copyright infringement. In order to get that protection though, you do have to own the copyright to your work, at least that is how I understand it to mean. Since Jasim didn’t even submit an application until AFTER this whole brouhaha, would that not mean that her DMCA’s that she filed, are under false pretenses?
        With her posting that she was suddenly protected, people were able to see that she had not done anything up until now, so all of her previous claims were basically false. Does that mean that her DMCA against the other two mesh head creators is false? As a defense, that application could be used against her now, since the date of applying is very clear on it and it is AFTER the statement she posted up on Flickr and FB, that she filed against them.
        Like you said Kesseret, I am curious on how this will go or end.

      • It’s confusing because copyright and trademark are two different things. In the US at least, you don’t need to have a registered copyright to file a DMCA notice, as long as you can prove you created something. It’s certainly easier to prove if you have a registration, and getting an official copyright is smart and good business, so don’t get me wrong. But it’s not strictly necessary in the US. Not sure how it works internationally. Trademark on the other hand, is a completely separate thing. It’s not covered under DMCA. So filing a DMCA over trademark infringement is a misuse of the DMCA process.

Regardless of the details of the personal event, Umberto had invested real money into the project and it should have remained a business partnership. Pizza is a shit. She Fucks everyone over eventually and leaves a wake of people behind her.
