  4. #34 This is Chuckles Orfan and I have stayed silent until now. I was told about this shit on here and have tried to just let it go. Last time I checked, a relationship is between two people as is a break up. Lumi is someone I loved for a long time, shared many things with and we loved each other deeply. Things changed for us and as much as we tried we couldn’t make it work anymore. It was prolly me that was the one that just couldn’t handle it anymore and not her. She does not deserve this, no one does. She is not to blame and neither am I. What happened is and should be between just the two of us. We both deserve to be happy and left alone. It is no one’s business.

  6. gotta laugh about #34 Chuckles & Lumi drama probably deserve each other since Chuckles is married in RL as an old friend found that out way before Lumi was in the picture, sadly this person flew to meet him in RL, stood her up and left her stranded the entire weekend and nope was not me as I do not do RL married guys in SL ~ he is a liar as Chuckles was his alt he was using to hide from her and this was major drama at Big Daddies about 8 years ago telling everyone he got severely burned in some sort of fire that was the reason except he neglected to tell anyone is RL status. Lumi and him have been off/on for years guess that is his choice.

    • Him and Lumi we’re Norm and Lily under alts for a while. They thought it was a well kept secret but it was during the Red Zone days when you could scan avs and find out who their alts were. Everybody knew. Was rather entertaining for all of Big Daddy’s LOL. Apparently Zaara is RL married too. Hopefully their adulterous ways will pay off.

It’s common sense to make your clients, your priority and you never did, not just with this stupid timezone but with everything else that my baby’s mama went to you for and you simply chose to ignore and neglect.

It is called SECOND LIFE for a reason and whether it is common knowledge to you all or not, there are people who make GOOD money off of those of us who PAY RL dollars, converted into LINDEN to enjoy the experience. So, if $500ls is too much for your experience in ANY capacity of the grid, then SL ain’t for you. It’s comical that y’all will justify what your Ls are worth depending on what YOU enjoy. And people want an experience that mimics their RL ones to be just as good, if not BETTER than, because that’s what THEY enjoy. If havin a baby on the grid is not your thing, then it’s not. Keep it movin. But if buying homes and your thing is being a great interior designer or you buy clothes and then BLOG the designers clothes, or clubbin and chillin, while listening to music, then you do that. However, people who put their time into making the homes you buy, the clothes you wear, the materials you use to landscape your land and the EXPERIENCES they create, in order for you to enjoy them, should not be diminished because someone can’t tell time, nor differentiate the time differences and do what thousands of people on the grid do, who work in RL AND SL and that is make the proper arrangements so that ALL parties involved can have a smooth transaction of goods and servives. But, unfortunately, you have these two, who chose to come here and act a damn fool and then try to smear a person’s character, business, and their hardwork because THEY were in the wrong. The customer isn’t always right and when you find customers like these two, you leave them be. The suggestion that A-Kid made, is a great one. They need to find someone that can be there at THEIR beck and call and set things up accordingly. Things don’t work like that in RL. Some doctors offices will charge you for missed appointments…but anyway. Yall have a good one.

      • Dude. It’s 500L. For roleplay (something some people will do for free as A Kid pointed out). The amount of outrage over such a small amount of money is not only out of balance with what the situation was being made out to be, but petty on the secret maker’s point. There comes a time when the amount of effort you put into trying to slam someone better be worth whatever you feel you lost. Look at that secret. It’s not a simple one line blurb on a screenshot. Someone sat there and created that. Over 500L. People can charge or pay whatever they want for pretend babies, that’s fine. But there’s a moment you have to step back and go “based on my loss, how much do I -really- need to try and burn this person?” if you’re any sort of rational individual. Until Ikster pointed the amont out, I was sitting here under the assumption some much larger amount of money changed hands to warrant this type of misplaced reaction.

        Yeah they came here and acted a fool, but here’s the thing (and my original point) : that’s exactly what the take away from it was. There was no need for this to blow up. No one was taking the secret post seriously. At all. We’re very very versed in seeing the “butthurt ignorant customer retaliation” secrets here. Unless I’m crazy I’m pretty sure that’s what that secret looked like (still does).

      • Ok, I just have to say this. Regardless if they paid 500L or 12,500L (really?!!) or whatever, I think all of these guys missed the point that paying anything to RP, is just nuts. I’m so with A-Kid on this and agree with what A-Kid wrote. It really should not cost you anything to RP to have a great time, have your wishes fulfilled and have a great experience. I know that there are a few “pregnancy” systems out there, Mama Allpo being one of the bigger ones. I also recall that YT set up a section over on her store, where you can get a “Doctor” for free. Those people are all volunteers and yes you are encouraged to tip them for their time but they don’t demand it. Why anyone would pay any of these amounts, other than maybe the 500L for a nice tip if you have a really great RPer helping you out, is beyond me. Seriously though, what happened to bringing a whole fun group of you together, having a solid RP, and all it cost really was some time well spent?

      • Rakim. I’m a roleplayer. There were times that I spent hours in roleplay sims (and on AIM before Second Life) typing out strings of text and weaving incredible stories and experiences for my friends and those who had joined us. Heck, I’m a kid avatar. My whole SL is a roleplay.

        I’ve never charged for it. I certainly didn’t insist on enough money to buy a bento head and body or a nice house or one of those zooby things or something, you know, material for my words and my time. When my friends and I wanted to rp something, we made alts or we asked other rpers and we often improvised. If we left tips, it was usually for the sim we were using to roleplay in. Those are some of my best memories and none of us got paid. Not a thing. Even if we created avatars and put time into them. They payment was the damn roleplay and the experience.

        So forgive me if I don’t understand shelling out huge sums of money for someone to pretend to be a doctor for a pretend pregnancy in a pretend clinic when there are better options. This isn’t real life and everyone in this drama is acting ridiculous.

      Ask your friends to make alts to pretend to be doctors and do your pixelnancy roleplay with them. It’ll cost nothing, you’ll get your fantasy pregnancy feels, and it can be done at your convenience and exactly the way you want it to be done. That’s what we used to do in the Good Ole Days of Second Life if we wanted to roleplay something instead of paying strangers for some “experience”. Either that or we went to the roleplay sims and talked to other roleplayers to see if anyone was interested in whatever story we’d cooked up to play.

      This is absolutely ridiculous and everyone involved sounds like a real piece of work.

The very idea that she could give people the kind of birthing experience that many only dream to have in second life was a dream come true. TO BE OF SERVICE to someone else. Baby Bloom clearly has patients acknowledge the fact that all appointments are in EASTERN TIME..       • Hi Jimmy! Bloom can’t change the timezone on the website we use, as we (the creator of website content including scheduling and information) live within the Eastern Time Zone. It’s not nearly as unheard of at all. In fact, like some other posters have mentioned, on websites, it’s most commonly done this way. The time zone info however, is on the website, in the confirmation for appointment scheduling, and was explained to the actual patient one on one, as to not cause further confusion. At the end of the day? It was a completely unnecessary exchange of foolishness ♥

      • Hi Jimmy! Bloom isn’t upset at all. We’re all entitled to our own opinions, and we even give our customers surveys when when they’re done with our services. We’ve gotten some GREAT constructive feedback that let’s us how how we can be better, and we meet monthly to adjust and better our practices. This isn’t a “bad review”… This person told us that if we did not do what they wanted that they would put us on this page with the sole intent of destroying our business here in SL.

        Just a little correction for you though on this part – “Your claim is that it is easier for you to use your local time zone… yet you should think what is easier for your clients… ” Bloom NEVER claimed that this was easier. We would RATHER have SLT on our website; however, BECAUSE the website is created ON Est, We aren’t able to change it. We’ve tried. We ALSO let the person who used SL Secrets as a means to smear our business know this as well. This comes down to a simple adjustment of time, and a temper tantrum. In business, ESPECIALLY ON SL… it happens. 🙂

        We work extra hard to be sure that all of our patients are satisfied, and in the event that they’re not, we work towards a solution. This “secret” was the patient’s example of “solution” and our response is well warranted. But thanks for your input!

      • I am a manager for a fitness center and we have our clients fill out a questionnaire on what their activity level is and what they do. 80 percent in the obese range do not work, and live sedentary lives by sitting at the computer or watching tv. There is nothing wrong with second life as a hobby, but limit time and give more time to yourself. You are the only person to want to make the change. Look at our world today. You even go to a park in the summer and the scooters outnumber the strollers now. I say all this to wake people up, but now I shall say no more.

        Maybe the creators will update but maybe they won’t. It’s up to them at this point. I just don’t understand why they wanted to sell a half done project for half off. Is tier that expensive?

      • The only conclusion I can come to is that they potentially think the ends result is going to take a little while so why not get customers on board early. Like you said, it means setting an unfinished product loose and that has a lot of consequences if the project isn’t far enough along to be satisfying.

        I think the one thing that will hurt them the most on it at this point is that lack of omega support. That means they are resting entirely on the hope stores will make products for it soon or that the backlog of stuff for their brand is enough. But forget using a lot of cosmetics on it for now.

There is already a few skin creators who have been working on it and I do know one for sure who released a skin for it yesterday, I believe. That actually was a smart move on their part, getting the interest going and getting the supporting creators, at least a few of them, on board so early on. I did hear quite a few creators mentioning that they found the appliers very easy to use, the heads were great to texture for..etc.

      • That’s good that they’re doing that. It is smart to get creators interested. That being said however, if I couldn’t use cosmetics and lashes and whatever I already owned because it didn’t accept omega, that’s an issue (although hopefully a temporary one). You want creators and customers to get used to using the product asap if you’re doing an early release. Moreso with something that is a key part of an avatar like the whole head; since a lot of customers once they start getting “settled” in with a shape and skin they like, they’re harder to get to change.

        It’ll probably be ok, but I’d have definitely waited until it had at least omega for people to play with.

      • So… have your friends make alts and pretend to be your doctors. That’s what we did in the Good Old Days of Second Life if we wanted to RP something specific. There’s no reason to pay for this sort of thing because a stranger isn’t going to be able to do your fantasy virtual dream the exact way you want it done or at your convenience. I also find it super weird people want these whole “package” experiences. If they want to do pregnancy for real with detail appointments and births, why not do the whole nine months and why not attach things to their avatars that make them move slow or keep them from being able to go out because they can’t stop peeing or everything else?

        And the other commenters are right – 75% of the time, it’s someone who has kids in rl or has adult kids and grandkids in rl. I’m a kid avatar and I don’t approve of neglecting your rl kids for pixelnancy OR adopting kid avatars.

They thought enough of your product to pay your damn join fee, but you get to dictate whether or not they are allowed to stay in? If someone is claiming a group gift, and you only have it available for the one month- what does it matter if someone misses out due to not being around? They’re still not picking it up? Suonds as if the shop is butthurt that folks don’t make a point to log in at least once a month for no other reason but to get their gifts.

        I think it is ridiculous to eject someone from the group because they haven’t logged in for 6 months. Especially when that person paid to join the group. They could always return and start using the benefits of being a group member again. You get alerts about new releases, group discounts and group gifts. The group isn’t just about group gifts LOL. I don’t grab every group gift for the groups I am a member of. Some simply don’t suit my taste or needs. I wonder if Satomi will charge someone L$300 again to re-join once they been kicked out. Myself personally, I wouldn’t re-join if I was ejected for this BS.

        4. She wants to claim that she is somehow doing this because she is trying to be GDPR compliant, but I think she needs to go back and re-read the rules and regulations of the GDPR.

        From the sounds of it, she is going to be tracking her customer’s presence in Second Life, through her group. Correct me if I am wrong, but this sounds like the direct opposite of what you are supposed to do, to be compliant with the GDPR.

    I find myself sitting here wondering if there should be a standard intelligence check before posting on SL Secrets. For example, we have the special case at number 36. Complains of a Designer or rather ‘Texture Artist’ yes, that’s a real life job where people get paid to texture 3D models. More like a hobby here in SL. They use BRIGHT red texture which hurts the eyes and tries to insult by using ‘Special Monkey’.

    I know this must be difficult for you, but if there aren’t any demos at the event for you to try on the mesh. Go to the creator’s store either on the Marketplace or in world to try on a demo. If there still isn’t one and you’re not sure that it will fit don’t buy it. You took the time to complain and go source the full perm model and I assume tried it on? Did it fit? No, yes. Wonderful base your decision off of that.

    It’s like hand holding kids these days, making up useless bullshit to try and bash someone on SL Secrets. It’s not a scam you moron, I’ve been to dozens of events where there are no demos on full perm items. Poster of 36 = You’re a cunt.

    • This ‘Texture Artist’ is selling full perm mesh at events that advertise themselves as having exclusive items. Also, designers sign an agreement that basically says you’re not allowed to sell full perm mesh. So if this is seen by the right people, events might cut ties with Reveal.

      • what i dont understand is why people have events saying they can use only original mesh when anyone who has created in imvu should know first hand and well that you can manipulate that mesh using alphas to completely change it. All we really need is a fucking bodysuit or a long sleeved long dress and true talents can show you many styles just texturing. and dont even need to steal it from someone elses creation from the net.

I am not “shaming” reveal, I’m not condemning designers who use full perm mesh. Re-selling full perm mesh at events that advertise themselves as having designers who only make exclusive original mesh, makes the owner of reveal look like a liar in my opinion. People shop at tres chic, vanity, and equal 10 thinking they’re buying original work. If you want to support designers of all kinds, then shop at fi*Fridays.

    I miss the days when groups were free to join and we could freely leave and join the ones we wanted to be in, or evolve and move around groups. It feels so restricting, like you are forcing people to stick to your subscription/ service because of the money they paid. Eventually people are going to get bitter and salty about it.

  54. #14 – I keep seeing the ‘original content’ argument and I guess folks really need to learn to specify and better define those words so they’re not ‘relative’. It could be original content in that the 2nd (or 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. as SL goes) created their own mesh … based on an idea they saw. Sure they put the work in to the mesh but they were inspired by something else. But life’s just like that … SL or RL … you see things and it gets the mind rolling and of course you think of your own little tweaks that would make it ‘better’ so you do that. So while the idea wasn’t 100% original brand new never before seen, the mesh that was created may have been 100% created by scratch. I’ll give ’em that and that’s about it. Some folks take advantage of that … but I bet some are oblivious to it due to the definition being potentially relative as well. That all said, I’m not saying that this is or isn’t the case for this particular item … just a thought I’ve mulled over each time I see something like this come up.

    #15 & 36 – The red font over anything is damn near illegible and abrasive to the eye, cut it out.

    • This book right here called “Steal Like An Artist” will explain to you how the world of art and stealing works. Every single thing you see in life is inspired by something else. People assume that “real artists” sit around and just birth ideas. That really isn’t so. Everything we see in life inspires us from the green grass around us to the signs we walk past to the items in the stores we purchase.     • I also don’t think the items look similar at all, the Moon Elixir product is a lot better quality on the textures and build. The left is very plain, the styles are vaguely similar but that’s about it. Seems like the brand on the left is just salty for attention.

      All brands take inspiration from somewhere, pintrest, real life styles etc. Of course there are going to be similar items in SL the same as irl. Original means Original mesh made from scratch, there is no such thing as an original idea. Everything has been done somewhere or similarly.

The one on the left is way higher resolution with more details than the Moon Elixir version, not to mention that Moon Elixir has the shoe cut off under the fur the same height as the one on the left. And guess what, CTRL SHIFT R shows the SAME mesh. Guess it was really made from scratch, isn’t it… oh yeah a little change on the lace makes it a better build, yeah…
