Complaints about creators and bloggers, their rights and responsibilities aside, I am *SO* glad someone has shone a light on Narcisse Constantine because she’s a real piece of work.
Narcisse will be all ‘sweetness and light’ when she wants something from you or if she thinks you can further her agenda even in some small way. But, when you’re no longer useful to her she will cut you off.

If you care so little about the votes on your comments, then why mention it at least once, every week? Just curious.

You also never fail to bring up Rose/Olive every week, even when she doesn’t make the virtual-secrets list that week! I’ve been reading what has been said here since my last off hand comment somewhere in the line and some of the things said I find intriguing. As a blogger myself this is a topic I like keeping up with and listening to all thoughts upon the matter agreed with or not. I seem to have an urge today to put in my 2-cents in about what has been discussed. Blogger vs Photo Hobbyist – There has been much debate about what a SL blogger is not just this week but past ones as well. Many compare it to RL blogging but I have to side with Lourdes who said “You also can’t compare to RL blogging where you actually receive payment and/or tangible goods.”. But, what about the ones who write actual SL reviews and such vs the ones who just put down the credits and leave it at that? 80% of the time I fall on the “credits only” side of the fence with my blog posts. The other 20% I will write about some SL topic or give a review on a certain product (even if it isn’t a sponsor of mine). And, sometimes I even team up with an actual writer who uses my blog as a platform for his own artistic work. Well, now why don’t I do this the other 80% of the time? Because, writing is a skill that takes talent and time just like the pictures. This isn’t a skill that everyone has, and there isn’t the time to write and proofread then rewrite till it’s worthy to be displayed for all to read and pretty much “judged hard”. All this did was enforce that most of these people in control of blogging are “cigarettes for breakfast” kind of people. By the time we got past the coughing, hacking and growling as the vocal chords warmed up, we had what was one and a half hours worth of what we knew already. That is nothing about the bloggers, it is down to views. What these people don’t understand is views are nothing unless targeted to sales. Giving awards to Flickr photo people without a blog cheapens the whole emphasis about blogging.
There is a difference between a blogger and someone who takes items from a creator, as props to further their own photo hobby. If it was not them providing items, they would get a freebie from another place. There is no brand loyalty, its about keeping things sweet so you get props and listing them to keep the deal sweet. The other factor is because the photo Flickr is challenged for a like for like game unlike the blogger, who if they are good will have an honest review of the items they use.
Flickr SL people of the most have no interest in the product , only the possible rung in the social ladder. It has nothing to do with quality of pictures or the quality of the blog . That myth has been uncovered via SL secrets many times.
It’s is to do with who you are ass-kissing and how many days you can sit to like everyone’s pictures, regardless of how good or bad they are. But it nothing to do with sales targeting.
Dead Dollz did say it was “all about the views and likes on FLICKR ~ not sure if there was any mention of a blog at all. For me whats that tell those who spend quality time giving time and energy describing the item. Its like fuck the ones that are so so photographers but they will delight you with their text in their blog, tell you where you can get it *ex. Black Fair* and is it for one specific body ~ will give her kudo’s to her pics as yes they are well done but more am learning about bots being used to up the views into the thousands and likes into the triple digits.
Honest reviews on products are very important. Part of that is why I feel editing should be minimal on the sold item, or honest reviews should be given. Many times, the demo does not live up to what I’ve seen in a picture. Personally, I think it is smart to be selective about what you blog; support the creators you’d be buying from anyways.

Also, I cannot decide if these butthurt bloggers live in a cave or are just out of touch with reality that it is laughable. Bloggers are business tools. Not even on the level of endorsement because they are -volunteer- marketing vessels for a profiting pixel store. In business, numbers matter. In business, influence matters. Unless you can provide a metrics report that directly correlates your blogging influence to sale conversions, views and favs are the only rudimentary indicators to a store that you can possibly bring them business.
To the a-hole stores who don’t appreciate your own bloggers, you’ve got some nerve to complain about the people who volunteer their time in promoting your pixilated crap. While creators come out with RL money, these bloggers get pixel items that do not cost anything to create as no resources or supplies are needed to manufacture a product. Stores -use- bloggers. At least treat them well.
Well damn… glad I never had the slightest interest in blogging for her ever. Creators are human and can make mistakes including putting their foot in their mouths… but that is why most businesses and anyone with a very public face hire PR people. She should have invested in that or at least wrote down what she wanted to talk about and had a friend read over it who could have said “Oh dear, No not a good idea at all”.

Just want to say that goal is unatinable for human beings with a job and a life. I really disagree she didn’t put anyone down. She states in The clip your success is not hers. As creators we are held to a certain standard. Post your photos in more groups. Even groups outside of Flickr. Bloggers need to stop whining, IRL if you were a blogger applying to brands, they would require the same things. That’s the thing about it, there is no “pay off” for bloggers. The only way they see a “pay off” is if they self host and run ads or video blog and monetize. Just blogging alone is not going to get you the big money that some bloggers claim they make. Yes you can work hard become really good at photography. Then perhaps get a job taking ad pics for some stores. That’s when you’ll actually see some money. Those of you saying that bloggers get “paid” with fat packs. You are all crazy. You can’t pay your bills with fatpacks of pixelated goods. You also can’t compare to RL blogging where you actually receive payment and/or tangible goods. That’s the important part, TANGIBLE. If I get a flat iron to blog for free from the company, it has value. When I’m done blogging it I can keep it or sell it on ebay. What can you do with your fat packs after you blog them? Nothing, they are no trans, and have no tangible value to the blogger. So when a store owner sets high requirements for being a blogger for their store, it should at least be on par with their level amongst their peers. Store owners want the best to market their projects, I get that. However to get to be “the best” as a blogger it requires hours, days, weeks and years. So after hours, days, weeks, years of hard work you get to provide marketing to a prominent store for free. Holding photography contests and giving linden to top performing bloggers seems fair to me. As you say, bloggers work really hard and rarely get the credit they deserve especially in terms of monetary value. The top stores make enough lindens which trickle to event fees, land fees, possibly advertising fees and possibly Blogotex fees. I think it’s a good idea to give selected/favorite bloggers lindens. It’s a FACT that after event traffic BLOGGERS are the second source of income flow to creators. Whenever a popular blogger blogs my items there’s a sudden surge of sales.
So agree with you Lourdes and the only blogger that I know of that does make RL money and has worked hard at is Strawberry Singh she even did a video telling those that yes she makes enough money to pay for this and that and not a whiner but yes am a blogger ~ fatpacks to me I never bought them for myself as I usually got one color and that was it ~ a lot of work for bloggers these days as more stores are expecting bloggers to do their jobs ~ blogotex helps as there are a lot of lazy bloggers that do the minimum if they are being monitored and even less if they aren’t. The humble-not-humble statement is a testament to the character trait of adding thousands to delete thousands only to have followed you as a- Promotional Statistic- to a Store Flickr or Blogger Flickr. There were creators/bloggers doing it the point of 0 Following (Mulloy, on SLS a few weeks ago, who has since re-followed people on Flickr) and keeping their thousands of Followers. Tell me how those 0 followers inspire them? They don’t. They are just sales statistics. I was a retail manager for two big box stores in USA and while getting paid $20 bucks an hour the sum of my job was basically to drill into my employees to get e-mails. Why? Because e-mails = sales. The more e-mails you send the more a consumer remembers your brand and the more likely they will return to your business. That is the same tactic used here on Flickr for stores and bloggers. But in the end, it is most wise to care for your customers/followers/clients/fans in return not treat them as a dispensable cash cow-like-button data base.

In all my crazy odd years of being in SL I’ve avoided this foreign concept like the plague even with the side glances of “omg how do you survive SL without one?”. I just don’t get it; somebody please explain what the big deal is about people being in these families and why there are these feuds or fights or whatever dumb shit falls on their laps on some particular week.
If any of you do care to explain this to me please keep in mind… I have never once been down with having an SL child (even adult ones); I would rather cut off my tongue and gouge out my eyes then call somebody my SL mom or dad ; and seriously if anyone dare breathes they are my sister or brother it’s a definite “I think not; so just don’t”. Artist , yes she is, sometimes she does great work. But I will never recommend her to any of my friends. First time I did regular pictures with her, all of them had mistakes, weird ankles or eyes, hair poking out of clothes and such, Decided to give her a second chance with an artistic photo, and that was a mistake. I asked for one thing and she did like completely the opposite. However she offered refund and provided it. She is honest, and has imagination, but sometimes I think she takes on too much work and skips on the little details, because she doesn’t have enough time to work on the photos.

I agree with you on the “payment” of fatpacks. Bloggers knew the deal when they started and it’s just how things are so if you don’t like it then don’t blog. But!.. now what irks me as far as this goes is when a creator does not give the “full payment” and sends you like lets say 1 color of the dress or a few pieces of a gacha. That is cheap and shows that they do not value you as a blogger or what you do for them. This happens most often for event blogging so it’s kind of hard to complain but I understand feeling irked by it specially when you had plans for something that wasn’t included in the blogger pack but is in the fatpack.

I’m pretty sure the reasons for doing this is different for every creator and I will admit I’m one of those who does not credit poses but that is because I actually will animare them to hell and back so it is no longer the original pose but my own special one that can’t be bought. I also leave some things out on purpose because it’s my special consistent look and really who wants to see me credit the same body & head for every post I do.
I see what you are saying but I have to disagree with you on this. I can’t speak for other bloggers who may or may not have the work ethic that I do. It’s a respect issue for me really; I’m a Blogger who filled out that application just like everybody else and got the “gig” to provide a service… I’m not some spanger on the street corner asking for a handout! I shouldn’t have to go ask a creator to pretty much provide the “full payment”.
I actually will quit as a blogger for any store that does this; and if it is a store at an event I blog for I won’t blog the item from that store because it’s pretty much a slap to the face to do this. I actually have more respect for the stores who opt out of the event service and don’t provide a blogger pack at all…I will happily go buy their stuff if I really want to have it and then blog it.

Umega was just the same, a hypocrite. He had been seen sexing adults on sims but was openly hostile to any kid he thought was “gay”. Loki was harboring him as well through all that time, never kicked him off his sims or did much. In some points looked to be his friend.

The first differences I see in that new picture already are a more whimsical element with feathering and flowing strokes over the harder, stronger and bolder strokes she usually uses.

@FunnyFace Oh I totally agree with you there are very talented artists that do SL digital art that make me green with envy and wish i had just a smidge of that talent…my work isn’t too bad but nothing compared to them (and I so already took note of looking up Patterson Core because I love finding new talented artists).

Hey there are truly some great artists in here that possibly could be put in some of the digital art mags that are now the rage that customers will buy digital prints onto RL canvas for big big $$$ in the RW ~ but her talent is pffft compared to some that I do envy as they truly have talent ~ don’t knock it there are huge FB groups that are dedicated to the creation of digital artists that would blow your minds with their creations just keep an open mind as the digital art world is huge and yes a lot do get put onto canvas ~

The only event that I know of that doesn’t do that, at least not to start with, was any of the mystery crates like Luxe box, Deco(c)rate etc. Why on earth would they put it out as a full set to purchase?? That then ruin your business if you’re reselling it as a gacha and make everyone that purchased it as a gacha get screwed over.

You are fucking retarded. That’s not what exclusive means, AT ALL. It means sold at that event, and then never sold again, although creators will hop on any loophole (looking at you, creators for the now defunct Bishbox and Luxe Box) to screw over the people who paid for exclusives. Putting it in the store after an event immediately is nothing but a slap in the face of the organizers of the event, making both they and the creator in question liars.
“Limited” is the only item you can count on being sold only that one time & never sold again. You’re welcome.

Oh lord, have you never shopped at an event before? Events like Hentai Fair give out exclusive stickers to the designers to place on new products being debuted at their event. Especially when old items can be sold among new ones… it shows what has been made exclusive for the duration of the event. Nobody is lying to you lol, you are just confused.
Nah, most events specify their exclusives are only for the duration of the event. After that it’s up to the creator if they put it in their store or not. I know, it’s not the literal meaning of exclusive. Though I’m not sure what’s so amazing about having a virtual good that other people can’t get after the event. Such special. Much exclusive.
Go look at Black Fair. Each designer had to make an exclusive item for it. See that word there? Exclusive? Only it will be at their stores after the event. Same with every big event, the events give out a sticker that even says E-X-C-L-U-S-I-V-E.
I can’t tell if you’re just an idiot or trolling. Perhaps a mix of both, but it’s common practice in almost every event in SL that the designer makes an exclusive new item that stays exclusive for the period of the event, then they can sell it in their own stores. As for BishBox and Luxe, the designers were getting income from people buying old boxes, but when the event closed down they would no longer get that income…so what, you just wanted them to delete the item and forget it? Why would they, it’s a business to them and there are customers out there who would want to purchase the items.
They aren’t liars, they follow the event rules. The event rules state they can do that, the same as the box owners told them they could resell their items once the events had retired. If you don’t like it, don’t shop at those events or complain to the event owners about the rules, see how far that gets you.
I’m a fan of Bea but to act like she doesn’t reuse backgrounds (she just keeps these off of her social media), pass normal off as artistic because she knows girls will shut up and take it (see Kink’s comment below lol), and doesn’t use shit from the freebie site freepik.com for her logos is a bit silly. She is quick with the delivery and reliable like McDonalds and you get what you pay for. Most quality artists in SL are ATLEAST 3k and take about 1 – 2 weeks to deliver because they spend time working on your photo.

Backgrounds aside, she works from green screen as well. Just because you don’t like her style, doesn’t take away from the fact that what she does takes talent. She can’t control what her clients look like, it isn’t like she makes them have huge knockers, but the cartoony style she does with the vivid palette is appealing to a lot of people. Her highlights and shadow work is top notch and hand drawing hair is far from easy. Just because aesthetically you aren’t into her style, talking trash about her talent just says volumes about your character and very little about her skill.
At the end of the day, if her work makes you vomit, stop looking. If you don’t like her pricing, don’t buy it. Go spend your time productively creating something instead of trying to rip down someone who does.

Good riddance. This was a LONG time coming. Maybe if the two cunts running this place (Deranean and Kuluk) actually took suggestions and improved there sim instead of talking down to everyone and running the same events over and over again (Hurricanel 7 Literally 3 times in the last 2 years), then maybe this place would have lasted longer.
