@ #2, wishing cancer on someone just because your precious e-heart was broken is fucking immature.

Toddleedoo community has such a limited array of clothing as it is, now we have Ivy working with everyone. So she’s more talented than the majority of kid designers, do we really need to have her teamed up with everyone? Going into an event is exciting for the reason that you get a wide selection of styles… but in the TD world, you get the same pastel colors from 3-4 different stores ft. Ivy. It’s boring. Old. Worn out.
“Don’t like it don’t buy it”
Ignorant mentality. People can share their opinion. If you’re sharing anything publicly, expect criticism. If you can’t handle it, throw your computer into the garbage. Jesus Christ you’re all small minded little sycophants.
Adelyne Kaitlyn Lawley says
No one said your opinion was wrong. We just like that style. When we were thinking of things to name our store Blush, we literally decided on blush because it made me think of light girly things. That’s the basis of our designs. Light, pastel, girly things. If you do not like it, that is perfectly fine. That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be allowed to defend my brand when it is called out as being unoriginal. I slave over each of my mesh designs and Ivy produces beautiful textures to put on them. Just because they come in the same color palette means nothing. Blueberry and Addams have the exact same colors in every design, but no one is calling them out for it. Because it’s their brand. This is my brand. So I am not going to change it because a few people don’t like it. It’s plain and simple. Blush will remain the same… If it doesn’t appeal to you, then I am sorry… But it’s not my job to make the entire kid world happy. There are countless other stores you can shop at with different color palette.
Poppy Mae says
I did say “If you don’t like it, don’t buy it” because this particular item, that’s how I feel. This is the first time I have worked with Ivy and I hope it is not the last, her style appeals to my personal style and she is extremely talented in my opinion.
However, I feel like the comment about it being an “ignorant mentality” is unfair, I make and sell an array of mesh templates in many styles, for boys and girls, I also co-own a Store called Cookie Doe where we have a totally different style to what’s shown in this picture and are also in this same event. Many stores/Brands/texturers have a signature colour pallet and there is really nothing wrong with that. I respect people might find it boring, but I don’t feel that posting an anonymous comment or post on here is constructive or necessary, it just come across as bitter and childish. I am always open to new collaborations and working with other brands, and I appreciate consumer feedback. If you ever have a comment or issue please feel free to say it to me face to face, I don’t bite. 🙂 ♥
DuckTurkeyChicken says
Problem is she uses the same boring textures on EVERYTHING… sorry she isn’t slaving away on making textures, she is regurgitating them for 3 to 4 stores. You have to be blind not to see this. If your mentality is dont like it dont buy it then I hope most people dont buy it to teach you that having a shitty attitude towards your customer base is the wrong form of business savy. Blush could encompass many things if you guys got adventerous enough. Anyway just one persons opinion verus others.
zzzz says
I’m not really sure where you guys are having the issue understanding that whoever made the post pointed out the fact that the textures were unoriginal, not the mesh. It was pretty clear the message they were sending and the message that everyone leaving comments is sending.
Let me make it clear for you;
The mesh is unique – the TEXTURES ARE GETTING OLD.
So what if other brands use similar colors..the point is, you don’t go to any adult based event and see 3 or 4 stalls full of similar textures and colors. I get that Ivy is good at texturing, I can’t deny that. However, if she is going to collab with so many other brands and stores, she should really consider switching things up, especially if said items are all going to the same event.
I’m not sure where this idea of someone being “bitter or jealous” comes from. It always seems that is all anyone can ever say when they’ve been called out in any form. Which brings me to the next thing said, “say it to my face”. Child like for one and for two, what good would that do? You’d post more drama on your facebook for all the little ass kissers to say that someone is jealous – blah blah blah. It’s the same thing with you people. So basic.
Because someone called it like they seen it and posted it on virtual-secrets – hardly makes them bitter or jealous. Perhaps you should research what those terms mean, because you’re throwing them around a little loosely. It’s funny to see this secret on here this week, I was thinking the same thing when I went to a recent event and seen all of these items placed conveniently next to each other.
Bitter? Why and how would a random customer be bitter about someone branding with three to four other people – producing similar colors/textures/patterns that they’re already pumping out of their own store? How, why and what would a customer have to be jealous? Lol There is no logic to either of those claims.
The only thing I have to be bitter about is the fact that you guys can’t get your heads out of your ass long enough to know that this is just limiting the options for those who want to be toddleedoos. You can either choose Ivy and her recycled colors and textures from 42 different brands or you get hideous textures with no shading slapped onto a template. The in between is slim pickins.
How about do something useful with all of this talent you guys have and change things up.
Another Kid Designer says
#1 – It’s different mesh design. I don’t care of it is the same textures. it’s called consistency in my wardrobe if I like a specific style. I like Magika so I buy all Magika hair because her textures work great with my skin tone. I think people are really reaching the bottom of the barrel here to try and attack children genre designers. You only start to become original until you start meshing your own items. use templates? Everything will bound to start to look the same. Let’s just appreciate the fact these designers know how to texture properly and do their ad’s properly. Others just slap a texture down and not even work with the filters and have horrible sharp edgings and seams.
lol says
you’re talking about hair here, of course you’d like the same hair tone or texture so it would look like the same hair with a different hairstyle.
but clothes, it’s good to have some variety, they all look the same, the mesh makers use the same clothes generator and only work on the rig, and the textures are always the same…
it looks like a school uniform by now, no matter what shop you’re buying from it ends up being similar. the collabs are getting very boring now

Poppy Mae says
#1 If you don’t like it don’t buy it. Simple.
Adelyne Kaitlyn Lawley says
Wait really? More original? Lol the only thing that is similar on our items is the colors… Which makes sense because we all worked with the same textuerer. Don’t like it, you don’t have to buy it. But that’s okay! We worked hard on our items and don’t slap copyrighted logos and prints onto things. I guess we can’t please everyone.
Full of BS says
Why not just name your stores Turducken and be done with it. If you need someone to texture your stuff a lot of people can manipulate textures. SHE isn’t all that and a bag of chips like you guys want everyone to think. Besides quite a few of hr textures come from etsy actually. Who is so original now? NO matter if the mesh looks different regurgitated textures are simply that regurgitated whether original or not.
lol says
So much this. Turducken used to be so original now her whole family looks just like her and so do all the items they release to their “stores” I use that term loosely because they just recolor templates and put hideous pink filters over all their photos and call them soooooooo vintage and dreamy. LOL They all look the same or try to look like Ivy and fail.
whocares says
wow, u guys are real salty, try again lol and most families look a like, imagine that.
lol says
not to that level of creepy, imagine that.
DuckTurkeyChicken says
If I get 4 different mesh makers to make me 4 different outfits but use the same pastel tone an fabric choice on all 4 is that original texturing. Not really. She has always regurgitated her textures over and over and over and over again. Seems people are finally starting to realize she is a one trick pony.
troll says
yeah, actually none of them have changed their avatars ever and they dont look alike at all besides blonde hair LIKE THEIR MOTHER., so how about you crawl back into your cave of jealousy you troll, and ivy is talented everyone she does is just who she is byeee!
lol says
Because their mother is so full of herself she only seeks out kids that have the same eye/hair color. It’s fake, pretentious bullshit. Those people must truly be miserable with themselves in real life to have to get on a video game and act the way they do. Absolutely no reason to act like such cunts and look down on everyone. They’re vile creatures and it isn’t attractive in the slightest.
There is nothing to be jealous of. I’d rather be happy with my self in real life and just happy with myself in general…because when you’re able to love yourself, you don’t have to turn your nose at others. Which is something every last one of those Kennedys do. Woww they can decorate and run a half assed adoption agency. What an accomplishment in life. Lol
Can’t wait until Second Life is irrelevant and they have nothing.
ummm... says
wait… second life is relevant now?
wow says
doesnt fucking sound like you’re happy with yourself in real life if your on virtual-secrets.com writing a book about someone you dont even fucking know, who’s the real obsessed loser here?
lol says
Someone seems a little confused as to what a book is. Last I checked, a little over two paragraphs doesn’t qualify for being a book. Responding to a brown noser comment hardly makes me unhappy with myself. Nice efforts though. Heh
Anchorman says
Newsflash: The majority of people adopting in SL look for kids who either look like them or are willing to change to their hair/eye/skin color to be like them. Having a look that isn’t the standard baby TD with super light skin and blonde/brown hair decreases your adoption chances drastically.
JM says
Amen Addi. People need to leave you guys alone for real. Keep doing you!
Lel says
I wonder if 4 wrote that about themselves or if it’s some butt hurt bitch who got their e-heart broke.
They’re both probably 50 years old and sound like they smoke 3 packs a day. Grow the fuck up!
Night says
I am not 50 and I did not make that, and I only smoke a pack a week thank you..pshhh!..lol… But you nailed the butt hurt chick with a broken e-heart.. Her virtual Cinderella story is gonna stay untold for now but I wish her best of luck. The chick drinks a liter of Vodka a day calling me a drunk..lmao
But you who’s name I will not say because then I will be on your level.. I forgive you for this!.. It was hilarious actually, and I laughed the coffee straight out of my nose when I seen the suicide hotline on this page damn…
But you knew what we agreed too, and it is not my fault you tripped and fell into some feelings, and tried to control me.
And for the record when I have a GF I do not hide her… That is why she is all over my profile and my flickr. lol
P.S. this site needs a hotline for anger management next to the suicide hotline.. lol damn people.. repeat after me.. GOOOSFRABA!
whocares says
Passes out Glasses to the maker of 1, umm no they are not the same texture and jealousy really isnt a nice color to be wearing
whocares says
do apologise i thought that said texture and not texturer, im sorry that someone is willing to collab with other designers, she happens to be a talented artist and ppl should be proud of someone putting her work out there. as for being original…. the mesh is orginal and so is the textures used. why belittle someone willing to work hard and make nice clothing for kids
Paisley says
#1 whoever you are it’s called a themed event for a reason pastels. Now we resort to attacking kid designers looks like we hit an all time low here..
