Before we delve into secrets…
• If you hook up with a crazy in SL, it is not our responsibility to help you deal with that. If it becomes a RL issue contact law enforcement.

    Both about the same person. I don’t know her personally. I have nothing negative or positive to say about her. What I will say is this. I find it sad that half of SL has become filled with a majority of adults who from the ages 27+ have become cyber bullies.

    Yes I am fully aware that SL is just a game created for people to escape and maybe some people need to escape behind avatars and feel the need to trash talk others who are also escaping behind an avatar.

    I just find it sad that people are so mean, so cruel. YET. If you had to meet the people you have or had said mean and cruel things to face to face. Would you still be able to say these things? Would it come out differently? If so, then why do you find the need to do so on a website. When simply telling the person inworld, through texting, or even on skype how you feel about them .

    Okay, so according to you a person may be xyz. So maybe they are that way inworld because they need a form to escape from their RL. I am certain there are a lot of people inworld who have, or probably do have a lot of reasoning behind why they have an SL account.

    Is it really necessary though to bash on someone else based off of what you heard about them or how you feel about them because they upset someone you are close to? I could maybe try to understand why someone who actually had beef with a person could blow up like that. Simply because of differences in maturity levels. HOWEVER. I still am a strong believer of telling someone how you feel to their face.

    In the long run, bulling someone pixel or non pixel makes you look bad. REALLY bad. Especially if you are 30+ because around that age some would expect maturity to have set in stronger by now.

    • I find it sad that something as serious as bullying now has very little meaning and fewer people take it seriously. Its a term that is overused and misused. Its also sad that people who are truly being bullied, RL or cyber, get ignored because every little instance of name calling is calling bullying.

      You need a get a grip and find out what bullying really is.

      • well all of the above has happened to me from one mean bitch who continues to be thought of as some kind of SL saint because shes a good “designer”. She has spread lies, made up rumours, harassed me daily, faked profiles on various blogs and websites pretending to me or attacking me. She contacted me almost every single day to IM and harass me, she was so devious though, she never said anything threatening enough for me to report her and be taken seriously. Only my closet friends have ever believed me, and known tje truth about her. she has gotten away scott free with her behaviour. I know the truth and one or two others do to, I am not the only one she did it to. She has friends at Linden lab, she meets in RL with linden friends, I left SL and came on an alt to avoid her and keep a low profile, but she found me from her linden friends, I don’t log on anymore as a result of her bullying. I wont rest until she is exposed, here day is coming. And no I won’t reveal my full name here.

      • If that is true Samantha you will have to logs to prove it, and you can simply provide them to Linden Labs right?

      • Well I did have logs sadly the Lab didn’t respond to my complaints because as I said she’s in with the Lindens. But there’s a group of residents currently comparing notes and putting together a compilation of screen shots they are preparing to publicly expose her. The truth always rises above.

      • Bullshit, what you are stating is Linden Lab is concluding with a “resident” to victimize you. You aren’t that special snowflake. Post the logs here and remove your name. Put up or shut up.

      • Is this person really saying Linden Labs bullied her with a resident who is a friend of theirs? I bet not a single log is posted and I think that’s kind of a dumb move to make liablious statements that way. Yeah I don’t believe it’s true or she would have actually named these mysterious employees and residents.

        No wonder you don’t want to use your ‘real’ name Samantha K, think you realize are on shaky ground there.

  7. Just to clear things up, #5 was just an inside joke made between the poster and the girl in the picture.
    I think it’s hilarious they did that because it proves that you readers are so intrigued in reading people’s “secrets” and want to gossip about it when this secret has nothing to gossip about, really.

    You people would believe anything on the internet, it’s hilarious.

    • Um, okay….I personally didn’t care “who” it was about. Just found it odd that someone would be bothered by someone playing another race in a virtual world. But I guess that’s irrelevant now because you say it was just a “joke”.

      • I didn’t say you were either. Just pointing out that the secret really does raise a bigger issue than a person’s need to “gossip” as you seem to think is the major issue here.

    • Well I couldn’t understand it at all, a lot of Asians undergo painful surgery to look less asian and more European. so why would anyone pretend to be an Asian it’s just wierd

      • I personally find Asian women extremely beautiful. I think what you are not picking up on is the fact that we need to bust this belief that “Caucasian features” depict true beauty. The more we see people of all colors, shapes and sizes in images, the quicker this goal will be accomplished. Beauty is Beauty regardless of race.

  9. What is the issue with someone wanting to play an Asian in Second Life? I thought this was about pretendy fun times and not just emulating our Real lives. Guess I am wrong?

    • If SL were Tumblr I’d guess that people were worried about cultural appropriation. Or racism, even. But on a platform where gender and species-switching are the norm it’s hard to make a convincing argument for excluding ethnicity from the party, and isn’t diversity among avatars a good thing?

  12. #8: oh this. No, putting frills on a sundress does not make it lolita, even if the template creator labels it as such. I know designers have always had problems comprehending that lolita is not a synonym of ‘slutty goth’, but mesh has made things worse.

    • Not sure it really matters how people look in rl.. or they shouldn’t be judged.. judging them only makes you look worse then whatever they have done. just ignore them.

      • Depends. If they bully people they deserved to be unmasked. I find it is always the mentally insecure who attempt to do that online. I don’t think bullies get to hide their RL selves, it’s fair game.

I went to cosmetic fair today. nobody really seemed to get into the 90’s theme lol. maybe like 3 designers did. that mesh head is nothing like the picture i wouldnt buy it and i seen cute hair by fiore there but with the hair textures and colors of little bones. what the heck ?! there were cute face gems there but they were 155L for like a face sticker ?????

    • My sister tried their “group gift”.. and it was nothing like the image either. She said that out of all the mesh body parts she has tried, this store is the worse. And, yes the photos are too manipulated.
