I will admit to my faults and my wrongs, i dislike those people more then anything, but the shit i said well was just wrong on so many levels. I was heated i was mad. I’d like to apologize for my comments. I don’t want to be that person. I am angry and holding resentment towards Jill because she has spoken very negatively about me, my family and friends, and even her own family that I’ve been privy to.
I’ve decided, that I just no longer care. I don’t associate with her and I don’t need to anymore. I don’t need to be negative on here or bring more negativity to her life. I feel ashamed of what was said and how it was said with anger and was just to be brash and hurtful.

My immediate SL family was attacked here last year, but we rose above it, and have come out stronger this year. Yes, we were hurt, and it broke down some trust we had in some people. We lost friends and family members that we loved and trusted. We are bent, but we are not broken. After that, I chose not to come back here and fuel the fires of the cowardly and the bullies. Sadly, now I hear my extended family is being attacked, even more viciously, with vile, cruel, and untrue things being said. Even others pretending to be them and saying the most evil things about their SL and RL. Enough is enough. I’ve known my godfamily the Gilmans and my sister Kara almost as long as I’ve been in SL, 8-9 years now – Much longer and much better than any of you spewing your jealousy, hatred, and sad, self loathing onto them. I can tell you that they are among the finest people I’ve ever known in SL or RL. You would be lucky to call them friend or family. They give of themselves more than you will ever know. They love, they cry, they hurt, they smile, they trust, and they feel the same as you do. SL is not a game to them/us. It’s a place where real people meet other real people and form real friendships/relationships. How or why we choose to incorporate roleplay into that friendship is nobody else’s business. Obviously some people feel differently about the Gilman family than you do and they are entitled an opinion that is opposite of yours. Just as you are allowed your opinion of them. Obviously if they didn’t care about what people on this website we’re saying about them they wouldn’t keep sending people here to post in the defense of them. They wouldn’t keep posting on plurk about it and they wouldn’t keep whining about it. If people are saying they are mean to them and have done nasty things to them then there has to be at least some truth in it as well. It really comes down to the fact that you should always treat others how you want to be treated because at the end of the day no one is perfect. The lies and bullying have gone on for years from some of the Gilman family and it seems they have made quite a few enemies in my opinion.

There is no smoke without fire. The Gilmans are no saints and they for sure have done faults. Problem is they apply double standards. When someone do something wrong, they haunt them down to the end of the world. But when the person is one of their family, it is not a big deal and tell people shut up. And of course it makes people upset. This is why people appears to come up with negative comments.

I think you’re foolish to think that they would see someone’s wrong, just because said person is in their family, as ‘not a big deal’. Just because they are not publicly shaming that person, doesn’t mean they haven’t dealt, or are even still dealing, with the issue. The difference between when a family member wrongs you in RL or SL….is that you are a bit more compassionate and easier to forgive (or at least try harder to) someone you are bonded with.

I really think you need to check the most current LL ToS not the outdate crap on google. With his rl parents permission (which he has) he is allowed to play SL. Anyone age 13 to 15 can play SL with their parents permission. Ages 16 -18 may play without parental permission but still must remain PG.

Good to know you support the endangerment of a minor and the possible mental issues that will face this young man in the future from his interactions with adults on second life that may not be in his best interests. Playing a father to someone that is well over the legal age being one of those. Dating women far older than he is would be another one as well. Firstly, please know your facts before you ramble on nonsense. Jadin is not dating anyone in SL before you go spreading untrue rumors. Devin and I are his RP parents and have been since Decemember. He never hid his RL age from us. We keep our home a 100% PG environment, it is a safe family home where we monitor everything and keep it closed. He is turning 16 in a few short months so I genuinely do not think there is any need for so much concern. He keeps his SL behavior and places he visits to a strictly PG atmosphere. I could understand your concern if he was off going to strip clubs and Gorean RP sims, but he isn’t. Most of our time together is spent at home, playing games, chatting or assisting him with studying for his RL midterms and homework every night. Jadins parents are divorced in RL and he is forced to switch back and forth between his mom and dads house every other day, so we try to give him a stable family environment here. Just my opinion, but why would you even think it’s ok to “Adopt” someone who says they are that young in RL?!
No way would my child who is almost 15 be allowed to play sl. You cannot watch a child 24/7 and while they might not be doing anything wrong, they are being exposed to a whole world more than they need to be whether it’s intentional or not. What happens if say this person comes around someone for some reason, with naked pictures in his profile and now that person is displaying “porn” to a minor.
