2 – Hello, I wear the SLink Physique Original body, usually shortened to Physique. It’s up to date. It was even first on the grid with Bento compatibility and BOM. But it’s first on the chopping block when newer bodies come through. And this happens regardless of the numbers gathered in most surveys and avatar scanning projects. I am not so much referring to the people who focus on Mait and Legacy. I know those numbers. Even Kupra makes some sense. But who the fuck wears eBody or Tonic? Under 1% of women on the grid. I have seen designers who run the Belleza gamut (speaking of outdated), Maitreya, Legacy, SLink Hourglass, and then ignore Physique in favor of eBody, Tonic, and/or Lovemomma.
Long story short, don’t try to figure this out. The logic of designers is sometimes vastly out of line with reality.

Slink Physique Original is the nicest shaped and most realistic, average/normal looking female body there is. I don’t know why everyone else sleeps on it… other than exaggerated, more sexualized shapes like Kupra sell better, I guess.It’s also cheaper than other bodies, even with the bundle.

Both of the Slink bodies and Maitreya have absolutely jacked up shoulders, arms, and backs, and they lack any kind of core definition. Belleza and Legacy have the only realistically defined upper bodies, and Alice is also not too bad.

Belleza Freya’s shoulders are wack, and Legacy’s seem stupid narrow, to the point where not even adjusting the shoulder width slider (which makes the torso thicker anyway, as well) does anything.
I know Second Life thinks all women are walking masses of huge boobs, asses, and hips, but real women actually have shoulders. Maitreya’s shoulders are bad because they look strange & are poorly rigged, not because they’re defined. It’s not manly or super muscular for women to actually have shoulder areas that are thicker than a chicken bone and not squashed as narrow as possible so that the popular horse-stance thigh gap shapes look more extreme.

I have loved my HG since I got it when it first came out…but man, if designers (not the full perm folks – which sadly a lot of them don’t make for slink anyway) have completely given up on the Physique, they’re really close to doing the same thing to the Hourglass. Finally gave in and bought the Legacy and boy…the shape is so so so so close to my HG with the added bonus of a beautiful bosom! AND!!!! I don’t have to worry if my hair will cover my boobs like I had with my HG! And the shoulders are nice, they don’t deform when you’re not in a straight pose. The legs and the butt are also very lovely. There’s no weird sharp points on the hips either. I’m curvy and thick and there’s no weird deformation at all. I also bought the Kupra when it first came out. I thought I’d like it more then my HG but it has glaring problems. The arms are weird, the body/waistline are weird. even with 0 love handles. I had to get a waist deformer to make it look like an hourglass shape as well. Also if u have body fat above a certain level, the hips/butt area makes it look like u have a goddamn shelf. The neck is also a problem…normally I have my neck height set at 40 or so, 50 width, with the Kupra I have to set that to almost 30 with a wider neck so I don’t look like an alien head sitting on a stalk-like neck. HG looks nice from the waist down at a glance but yeah, definitely jagged if you look closer compared to Legacy… probably from all those extra polygons people bitch about, insisting fewer looks just as good without the lag, when that’s obviously not true. They promised the exact same thing for Origins (before it was called Origins) on their website and in chat. I could pull up logs of the in-world group chat where they reassured users some older heads would be getting the Evo update multiple times.

I’m 100% positive they did make that promise, because I have a couple of male friends who use Guy- a much more masculine head than any of the more recent male releases, Alain the temporary freebie was least femme of the Evo line- and I was stoked for them that they would get an update. Probably never gonna happen now, because to all appearances Lelutka does not care about their existing customers, only about finding ways to make people buy more heads.
I agree. They are much more concerned with putting out new heads which require purchases of all new content rather than updating and improving any of their older heads. I know several people who were excited for a Simone Evo and were told it might be in the works only for it to be dumped with no notice. Actually Genus has a discord where they have posted lots of things since the DMCA. However, I agree they should fuck off about the male head until the female heads have been updated to fix the glaring bugs. It’s ridiculous to be talking about putting out new products when your current products need so much work.
I got their freebie head for an alt, and I liked it enough, made it pretty. But the AO bugs and the mouth animations (which make it look like she’s gumming something) really put me off of it. I asked one of the CSR’s about the animations and she said (this was the first week they had the Stay At Home head out) that they were fixing it and to watch out for a new update in a week. It’s been over a year now, and still nothing.
I’m glad I stuck with the freebie. I wanted to get the babyface for her, but without those updates? fuck it.
Yeah I don’t blame you for not buying anything else from them yet. I wouldn’t either; they’ve had a fuckload of time to put out some kind of update, and they haven’t said anything at all about it in a while. I think it’s stupid to accuse them of being scam artists, but they’re not doing their business any favors delaying for so long, or by announcing a male head while their female avi customers are still waiting.
The genus discord is hot trash. Say anything that’s not absolutely SWOONING over the product, ask about updates that were promised or bring up legitimate glitches/issues and you get swarmed by simping huns angry because ‘my brand!!!’

Some people suffer from mental issues as is. People who already have self-confidence issues have people pleaser syndrome or anxiety, hell even depression. While yes, you’re right, you shouldn’t let someone get to you on that level. But sometimes…. People are just at their lowest and shitty people take advantage of that.

I don’t think you understand the situation, while i have not heard of others having mental breakdowns and if that is the case I do hope they seek help but the problem with soko is, you can block her all you want, she will continue to come after you regardless if you proof your innocence, if she deems you a pest, you’re a pest.
The main people she has been targeting have already blocked her and have ignored her, however, Soko still keeps coming at them, the reason (correct me if i am wrong) people do not like her is she is continuing to try and ruin these people’s reputation and store, she has been trying to get them kicked from events before they can even join, and is very toxic to be around, I agree with you, you should in no way let people bully you and therefore block them, but that method does not always work considering soko has a knack for making alts just to continue harassing you.
If someone doesn’t block/mute people who harass or “bully” them, they are a drama llama looking for attention and sympathy, and even their claims that they’re being bullied are suspect. It’s so easy to stop someone from bothering you in SL, there is simply no excuse for entertaining something they claim is causing them so much distress.
And remember, she’s Psi’s (PsiCorp) girlfriend, who seems to endorse all her behavior or at least do fuck all when she lashes out at others. If you’re a woman and not overweight, your shoulders are supposed to be as wide as your hips, not sure if you knew that. If you’re overweight, you’re gonna have apple, pear or hourglass shapes where it’s uneven but in general, your shoulders and hip bones should be around the same width.
Mesh bodies would look a lot better if creators actually looked at anatomy and if shape makers and those who make their own actually knew WTF real human proportions were too. I’ve gotten Maitreya to not look like a quarterback
To be honest, I’d love more muscle definition on female bodies, especially in the arms and legs. And not over the top, giantess like or an anatomical nightmare like the niche muscle fetish bodies floating around.

Catya is obsolete (yeah I know, everyone already told you) but the nice thing is no one can force you to buy a newer head and as long as you’re happy with it, keep it. Someday you may find something you love as much or you may want more out of a head or Lelutka may dump a free one in your lap. Pretty much if your head supports BoM or you can make it BoM compatible, you still have tons of content to buy. I’ve only had LeL heads so.. no idea if Catya can do that.

EvoX is like starting a whole new avi over again and with the cost of other items plus continuous events all opening at once, unless you’re rich or got money to waste it’s too much. Between paying for the head and some skins (which some charge at 3k+ especially if you like to change between tan and light tones), plus ALL the make ups you now need to rebuy because again, its like starting fresh, yes, i meant $500 cause that shit adds up. where you can get a lelu evo x head, plus one of the decent popular skins, plus all the make up, tattoos, hairbases etc you want to buy, plus all the events at once (AS.I. SAID) for less than the average of what you’d spend on the old Lelu heads or Genus…. You can’t.. cause.. AGAIN.. it’s like starting from scratch.

Head – 4k
Skin – 2.5k (if you’re paying more than this for a single tone for face and body, ouch)
Make Up – 2.5k (this should get you all the basics plus a hairbase and tattoos)
Eyes – You don’t need to, the old ones work.
So… maybe $50 USD. It’s still far more than I’d pay just to have a shiny fancy new head to keep up with the fashionistas.
I have Evo X and the only thing you have to rebuy is anything BOM (for X only). ALL the Evo appliers work. Honestly, I only lost about 6 appliers total. If I want to go back and wear them, no problem, I just click the Evo button and done. You are not really losing anything since you can wear all the older appliers with a change of a button (even BOM). Seriously, why are you wearing $500 worth of BOM products for your face anyway? You can’t fade them unless the creator adds a lessor percentage. This logic makes no sense.
I changed to lel and spent maybe an extra L1400 on new skin and make up. What the hell did you buy to spend an extra $500?!!
