The owner of DeeTaleZ (Steffi Villota) posted a notice on their Flickr saying that they will DMCA anyone who pulls their textures, even for customers who paid for the product and limit it to personal use.
Customers complain or question the point in pursuing people who haven’t distributed the textures or claimed them and the owner seems unwilling/unable to discuss the point before disabling comments indignantly.
Everyone’s thoughts?
That’s such bullshit to not be able to mod (strictly in SL for private use only and often to fix the mess i have bought), the textures i have paid RL money for. I’l wait to get banned then while tons of them steal from RL sources and claim it as their own. Yeah ok…

I can see what you mean about how it has compromised the shading of this product to look oilier than intended (just to note, I work in midday so the choice for the eggshell white is on purpose). I’d like to think I’ve improved this in my latest shirt product after finding better texturing methods, however, I won’t know when to update older products/whether or not it is necessary without someone telling me there is an issue.
Now for the sake of good practice, I strongly encourage whoever posted this secret to send a proper request so that I may show tweaked examples to see if they like it or not and send a mass update. This is a small and harmless fix, so it can be done within the day. I keep my word that nothing will escalate from this as I greatly respect good critique.
This is not the first time I’ve done this for a customer and this will not be the last.

I am glad I personally switched from Catwa to Genus because of the Genus gift head, it is such a generous offer on Genus’ part. And yeah I seen Catwa herself act kind of toxic to her own customers in her own group chat, and I have been one of them she acted toxic to, only because I was asking when the piercings would be updated, when the Lee head came out… and I would ask only maybe once a week and Catwa herself was super toxic towards me for just that.

It’s rude to the event owners, and it’s rude to the creators who are kind enough to participate. Get it together Seraphim. Those images are horrendous.
Best bet would be to reach out to them via email about errors. Because yeah, wrong information is definitely not on. The logo is probably something applied in batch mode in wordpress, so that’s on whomever made the stamp with it being right in the middle.
