Genus heads are really overrated. I can’t imagine why anyone would like them. They don’t even look anything like the average human being. Overall largely unattractive. The eyes are just off like the modeler doesn’t understand anatomy (I’m not talking about the animations). The nose and chin area is very strange. The head looks okay straight-on (other than the eyes) but the profile is probably the most hideous and comical of all the mesh heads. The thing that disappointed me the most are the sliders have a dismal range of customization. I also have issues with the brows. I tried hard to like those heads and I own every single one but I always was left unhappy with them. I’m excellent at making shapes but I also tried many popular shape makers as a base to see if they could pull off a better look and no they could not. In every circumstance, I did a better job and I didn’t even like it.
I too hope someone new starts making actual attractive heads and good huds for them with actual real animations. I also think generally skin makers or someone needs to find a way to give us even greater control over brows. A lot of day to day natural looks don’t exist easily in sl for any heads. Too many of the trendy fake brows going around.
I doubt you’re that “excellent at making shapes” considering most of the realistic shapes on the market are Genus and you couldn’t make one. Brows are also one of the most easily modifiable parts of the head, you can both change the way they look through appliers/tattoos (most skin makers have browless options) and their shape by editing your hair.
The fantastic thing is out of about seven billion humans, the chances of two heads being the exact same are similar. You say that they do not look like an average human, yet I know about ten people with a face shape similar to ‘Baby’ out of the box. The shape is complemented by a skin. A skin can drastically change the look of a head with different shading. Try some skin demos, too.
Also, different heads are attractive for different people. People may find the current heads attritive. Likewise, I do not find every single male head that has the jawline of a Greek god attractive, but 99% of the heads are overly masculine. Eh.

The heads are really bad. You can buy shapes that are considered good and they look bad. The minute someone else gets into the head business that is a skilled rigger and modeler, genus will be dropped. Most everyone I know in SL who tried it went back to lelutka, catwa and laq. The eyes and noses are a major disappointment with the heads. You can’t get anything decent because there’s an inherent flaw in those features.

As someone who was sexually abused as a child, I didn’t feel like the person was defending pedophiles. They were pointing out that people that constantly point out “ewww that’s for pedophiles”, are usually the ones that have the problem. And I fully agree. I mean, is there a problem with making a head thats geared towards someone who’s building and playing a younger/child avi ? Why does being a child or young person in SL automatically equate to pedophilia ? Is it advertised in such a way that would lead the customer to believe that ? and whilst i’m at it – who exactly are ‘you lot’ ?

It’s ugly like most catwa faces, and this one looks straight like that one squasheaded blogger on Flickr named Muffin or something like that… that used a catwa Lona head to create her horrible look . But as I said the moment I saw that one on Flickr I knew it would end up here.

we’re coming back because there’s a leaked chat (recorded in video real time ) of the legacy creator revealing their idiocy. The video was up then taken down but someone must have it. It’ll sink legacy fast when it does come out. I thought for sure it wouldbe here this week unless the people running this site aren’t posting it on purpose.
That sounds like some very yummy tea; maybe whoever has that video should start passing it around on SL FB. That’s the best way to disseminate information seems like; lots of people in SL don’t even know this site exists.
The sad thing is, even if someone dropped that bomb people would still support the Legacy body, because that’s how SL is now. He probably could leak it himself and not lose any support.
Patiently waiting for that bomb to drop though!
