I want to thank the creators of sl secrets for opening this sandbox up to all the little drama toddlers of sl. It is nice to be reminded that even those older than me still act like a bunch of middle schoolers. It boosts my ego up a bit so I know that in a sense I am more mature than a 30 year old. Keep up the good work, oh and the those posting the pictures….. isn’t it best to say to them personally. Oh wait that means you’d have to actually be mature, nvm, forget I even asked. Lmfao lawd. Haha Alright, I really must finally pop in and comment after a few years or more of lurking here…. As for Kink, I can assure you, as someone who knows them, worked with them, and left on their own accord… Yeah that place is crap for income. People end up being paid for singing.. or laughing… one weird chick got paid to hiccup. but even that only gets you a small tip…. The owner is 2-faced and paranoid as fuck…. She will surely jump down your throat for things she told ya to do. She is so paranoid that she will ban someone and pass it around to other clubs with fake chat logs and lies. Even worse she had to weasel her way into friendship with those clubs so she could have an “influence.” The majority of the girls advertise at every other club and freelance place, as well as work at them all… but supposedly they are loyal and supposed to only work at the one place… They have so called training classes at one time where they were just turning you into another boss lady wanna be. :3 The people who work there, and this is coming from their own mouths. Only work there because the boss tips them 80% of their income. The club name and location changes ALL the time… in a 2 yr time span it was changed at least 4 times… probably because people stopped going to enjoy them… They aren’t REAL FinDomme’s…. Please… I mean does anyone know what one really is? I hope you do your research :3. If you’re attempting to make your business sound good – you probably shouldn’t avoid all of the negative comments below.. lol, but again – if I was being slaughtered in the comments for making a secret about myself.. Nobody is actually making a ‘complaint’ about Kink because 1.) nobody is actually spending money at Kink and 2.) nobody discusses Kink unless they desperately post a Secret about themselves. As I've stated repeatedly, nobody is "watching" you – what we are doing is laughing at the fact that even the owner of the club has to free lance at Loseria and other businesses because Kink gets no clients of its own. That's why anyone who works there besides management quits after about two or three weeks/returns to their main alts and barely logs into those accounts anymore because its not worth their time (sounds familiar doesn't it? hahaha)
If I remember correctly, you’re the same club who had their tipping data posted a few months ago? At least now you’re admitting to tipping your staff, at that stage it was nothing but denial and yelling “Photoshop”. I also notice that a few people have mentioned you in the comments below, and yet you’ve done nothing to respond to them. That’s a little silly – you’re either above posting here if you’re not. I could fully understand NOT responding at all and taking the higher ground, and yet you don’t even do that – you just don’t respond to those sipping on what some 50-going-on-12-year-old referred to as “Haterade.” Having seen your numbers a few months ago I have a hard time believing the validity of a “client” posting this given your earnings. In my experience, the Venn crossover between those who purchase escorts and those who post on SL Secrets is very limited, and as someone else pointed out: they have yet to return to the comments, which realistically anyone posting a secret would do to vehemently argue their point. There seems to be a trend recently of failing clubs posting fake secrets to drum up some sort of publicity. The whole concept of “we’re above it” flies out the window when you respond. The air of your post seems to indicate that you have some sort of “we’re better than you” attitude, and yet there appears to be no logical reason why you would be. You know what other clubs have done recently when called out? Nothing. You know who responded? i look at sl secretes and im like. why are most big creators mean and rude to people who basically pay for most of their shit. like creators an event owners. should treat their damn customers/creators like queens and kings. and with the most utter respect. because in the end its up to the customers if they will shop at your store or not. and the thing with toxxic i did not know she was like that. she seems so nice

Flair for Events works really hard on every event they always look to have a nice variety of best designers and nice location. Compared to other big events flair for events cares about their customers and always try to communicate with the designers.

10) People are funny here, they want to look a RL model, they want do things that they can not do in RL…. but they blame when 3d designers do something that exist in RL. Really, they want all 3d Designer are Le Corbusier? This is so stupid. SL is a game, a virtual reality game, so what’s the problem do things inspired or look like as Real Life, if they are not infringing any brand TOS? Most sl 3d designers are expert in Maya, Blender and others, why bicth about things they do like RL? People use hair like RL hairs, use clothes like RL Clothes and this is the game! For me, this person that is copying RL items to minimize the work of one 3d designer is just an envious person that maybe do not even know how to make a cube in a 3d program or are loosing customers…. I tried to learn Blender and Maya ONCE, and I can say it is difficult! You need time and dedication. So, if they do something that exist in RL is not a problem, It is normal and happen all time in many games! I think those people that complain here, maybe just buy original designer furniture in RL… maybe from Le Corbusier, Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen…. ohh yes I know them, I studied architecture in the past…. I met Rose about a year ago and she was the sweetest.. When I heard about what happened in her rl and how there was an event going on, I immediately wanted to help as I myself have had RL struggles so helping an old friend in need was 100% the goal. After all this came out and the event shut down early I was so let down and hurt by how she and the owners of that charity event went about it. I thought I knew who was a sweet kind hearted person and I thought the ones putting on the event were the same.. BUT I’m not sitting here attacking Rose or anybody, just wish people would be a little more genuine when looking or needing help with RL. People and creators put in a lot of time and effort getting people to help her situation and everybody kinda got shat on..
Would love Rose and maybe the creators to acknowledge this and maybe say something?? Seems like this will happen again in the future once people forget, but hopefully not. Just need to own up to the mistakes and maybe this can die down, but this situation definitely needs to be addressed by those at fault.

Successful brands can have issues with a blogger but guess what ,they are not here or on Facebook whining. They deal with it and move on. Imagine if mya wasn’t involved with vale koer at all. There would be no negativity surrounding that brand . Maintaining a good reputation is important if you care about the brand you’re representing. I’ll assume you’re new to SL. Being able to check bloggers is necessary at times. Doing it in a public forum however is low and she’s doing that for one reason only and that’s for show, for the attention she feel she’s getting. If you’ve ever worked a day in your life ,you’ll quickly realize ,that if your boss is professional they’ll talk to you in private ,if there’s a problem and not shout out in front of everyone what a useless employee you are. That’s very basic employer / employee knowledge. I think you’re misinformed if you believe that people can behave as trashy as they want and people will keep supporting them , not so. In time those stores will lose support and be excluded but again you must be new in SL or you would know that having a good reputation, having good customer service and treating people who works for you with respect is just as important in SL as it is in real life.

The influx of immature college kids 18-22 years old is Growing on SL. You use to see it more during their break time , but now they are growing in numbers. I have not seen other stores hang out bloggers as She does. She’s unprofessional . Most stores will at some point need to check bloggers , but not in public . From a designers point of view, I don’t understand why Tyr is being bashed so much in secrets, nor do I know her reason for leaving Uber. My two-cents in being a designer…. I think SL blogging is bullshit IMO. It’s nothing like a “real” blog. Real blogs give in-depth details and reviews about the items, the pros and cons and if they are worth the money you will spend on them. Letting someone pass you some free shit just so you can take a half way pretty photo of it (most of the times the photo is photoshopped so the consumer isn’t even looking at a real product photo) and pasting a few links on where to buy it… is not blogging. That more so is called advertising. Even if someone gives a designer an unfavorable review, it’s a real review, If you get a bad review…it’s simple…step up your shit or lower your price point. So why should I pay a 3rd party to basically do what I already do…. take pics of my creations and post them on social media with links…..?
Like all things it is a SL JOB but the pay is not $$ geeeez and again with the “video game” reference – holy shit please tell me where this SL is considered a game…most umm video games have goals, rules, winners/losers and yes we have a ton of losers in SL but where is it truly defined as a video game ~ like Halo, or WOW or other video games that I would pick up my controllers and play hmmm and if it is so crappy why are you here?
So I’ve been reading all this back & forth of Hobby or Job… I’m not sure about other bloggers but when I 1st started it was a Hobby I picked up because I wanted to make pretty pictures and learn how to use Photoshop & well SL is a great medium to start learning how to do those things. But, this is an expensive hobby that can take a toll on your SL wallet so taking on sponsors to lessen the strain on funds is perfectly logical.
For me it’s still a really fun Hobby… and one I work hard at and take a lot of pride in as I learn how to get better with each picture I do. Sponsors for me are “Icing on the Cake”…. so I’m very picky on what sponsors I’ll take on because I only will apply to ones that inspire me and I would be buying from if they weren’t a sponsor. Maybe whether it is a Job or Hobby is just a mindset of each blogger? I prefer to keep it as a Hobby where I can explore self expression and artistic creativity. The moment it becomes a “Job” and is no longer fun it would loose all meaning for me to do it and I would probably quit all together to devote my time to a new hobby. That’s just me though!
Also bloggers need to stop acting like SL gods and celebrities, no one cares you can take pictures…..

It is not a job, it is merely an exchange of one item free stuff to be listed and featured in your blog / photo. It is a pictorial free advert you provide basically. A creator could make a lot of money off your post, exchanging the product he gave off you for a good amount easy . So a numeric return would not be out of the question, if the creator was making a good deal of money which they do. But if you see none of that as a wage, its not a job in any form.
Blogging is hobby. You made a choice to put out free advertisements for a designer in exchange for free goods. You are not making any sort of living off of decorating a toon in sl. I’d never cheapen my valued time into making free advertising for someone else’s paychecks. Lol.
You made a choice, exactly. You chose to blog their products if they sent them to you for free and as any decent human being, you should respect your part of the deal. The fact that the designer earns money is irrelevant in this discussion.
My point is that it’s not a “job” since only one party is getting paid for the services rendered. If both parties enter the agreement then either party can terminate if the agreement isn’t being kept. Both parties have an out.
Here is the thing. As a blogger, you need stuff to blog, so without sponsors to send them to you, you would have to buy them yourself. SO, without a sponsor, not only that you would not make any money, but you would have to actually spend money.
Call it whatever you want, it is a trade of services and it is not fair to take something and not offer the promised service back. Designers work 90% of their time on the products you got for free.
My point is, if you don’t like not being paid, stop blogging, but if you want and like to blog don’t complain about designers being paid for the products they make and sell. You knew you aren’t being paid when you applied for the 50 stores too. No one begged for your services.
You all focus on Mya saying it was a job because you know that’s the only thing you can debate. For sure logic goes out on the window when Susan needs to hate on someone.
Let’s also address this thing about the word sponsor. This is how sponsorships work. You endorse a product and the company pays you with money or equipment to help you become better in addition to free product. You all are not being “sponsored”.
I use the words that are used in sl.. if you want to debate the meaning of those words it is up to you but that doesn’t change the fact that once you agreed to take something for free in order to blog it, you have to blog it. Without those designers giving you free shit you would have to pay for your hobby 🙂 But please Lourdes, just debate word meanings so you can be right 🙂
Then let’s get down to what this is really about and what is not about. I’ll try to keep it simple 1. Blogging is not a job. You do not get paid with RL money. The item you receive do not have any value other than what LL determines. The items that you receive are no more than 1s and Os and are not legal tender is any country on this planet. 2. Bloggers in a store’s blogger group enter an agreement with the store owner(s). The terms of that agreement are established at the beginning of the contract (and I use the term very loosely). Both parties enter in good faith. Both parties should keep to the terms of the contract. However, neither party has any legal standing. But they do have the choice to leave at any time and go on about their business. At no time, did I say that either party should renege on the agreement. The ethical thing to do is to stick to the agreement. Also, the professional thing to do (but we all know professionalism is a rarity in SL) is for the store owner to remove the bloggers who don’t stick to the agreement silently. There is no need to go on whining about bloggers who don’t do what you want. Remove them and move the fuck on. 1. The things you receive have value because people pay rl money for them. The designers spend a lot of time on them so of course they aren’t keen to just give them away for nothing. You talked about videogames.. those are pixels too so do these have no value as well? 2. The justification that the person you gave it too would have bought it has many fallacies. Many times when a blogger doesn’t blog something its because they don’t like it. I had a whole reply set up then deleted it by accident. I was editing it in word. Anyway We can agree to disagree though I think half the issue is that you aren’t comprending what I’m saying and no sense is arguing with that you think I said.
However I did want to address one thing: the whole naming and shaming thing. In 2012 there was event that happened every year. It was for charity. It was popular lots of stores big and small and in between participated. Bloggers got early access and a few stores sent review copies but it was for charity. Back then it was recognized if an item was for charity don’t be greedy and expect review copies. Anyway several bloggers including myself got access. There were requirements that you blog 2 or 3 items over the course of the event. There weren’t ridiculous, reasonable. Well at the end of the even the organizer who was new to organizing for this event, previous years it was handle by someone else, decided to do a blog post on the events blog post naming and shaming every single blogger that did not fulfill the requirement. Some people were wrongly named, one lady I think was in the hospital (or said she was). The backlash was unreal. The people involved never recovered the event not nearly as big as it used to be. The people involved Frolic Mills and his assistant who I won’t name. The event Fashion For Life one of the Relay for Life events.

I understand where you are coming from though and as I said I agree with you on many things. I don’t think bloggers should kill themselves over blogging or do it to the point it is not fun, because yes, it is not worth it if they don’t have fun. This is why I said they should just not apply for so many designers just to get their free stuff because sl is not the best place to be greedy 🙂 sl clothes are not the best thing to loose your rl time for, but to each their own.
I think the issue is that we disagree on one thing and argue about all things. You say she shouldn’t complain, I say she is in her right to do it, and that’s it.
Reading my comments I see I may have been a bit salty and I am sorry for that. You may be a very lovely person and there is actually no point in fighting with you over someone else’s drama over sl clothes lol. After reading your long reply Lourdes I will agree for the most part what you are trying to convey as one of those bloggers that have been blogging for 5 years yes I will agree not all stores just handed out their goodies also am not one of the cough cough top bloggers who names would spark recognition nor do I clamber to be and that is fine with me. If I am asked to blog for a store I do my own research as to what they make or build and not being snobby but I am picky on who I blog for and what. For me I guess that in fairness as I have slowed down some on blogging that yes I have a RL and SL blogging is more a hobby. Did not become a blogger to get free stuff as I do have my own SL budget to buy clothes, etc. Blogging to me is fun just like SL is as well and when SL becomes not fun or blogging becomes boring I will just log and leave. One last comment on blogging as I see it is just turning into purely an image-fest without actually telling their followers or store owners if they liked it or not just put on the outfit and take a pic nothing more and credit. Not saying the images are not fantastic but for me is that truly blogging. IMO honestly no especially if you look up Websters definition of blogging. I totally get what you are saying. I never accepted random notecards to blog events or stores unless I knew of them before hand. I hated being added to someone’s blogger subscribo at random. Then you have that awkward moment of not wanting to be rude and ask to be removed. I know I sound like an old bitch. But its true. Back in the day blogging was about showing the product truthfully. Showing how it would look as you were wearing it on the grid. Some bloggers liked to give an honest review about the items. But you know how it is in SL if you aren’t kissing ass then you need to keep your mouth shut. Some store owners could not take criticism in an honest critique. I remember looking forward to Gogo’s honest reviews on skins. That came to a crashing end because she got so much hate thrown her way. So now if you do talk in your blog you had better say something nice about everything you are wearing or else. I do like some of the talent I see in the pictures that people produce. But most do not truthfully portray the product. As time went on I stopped using blog pics on flickr to find new releases. Most of the time what they are wearing doesn’t remotely look like what you are buying. The photos have been altered so much the product is something else. Then on top of the blogging and meeting the requirements you have to hustle on flickr to get 500K+ views per picture. I remember when the first event required this. Agree with you 100% and for that as a blogger that I will never be one of those top rated bloggers because I will never wear something I dislike or doesn’t fit and getting an invite to blog doesnt mean to me that I will jump on it. Along with the fact that my followers for my blog are not up in the thousands like others but I rather not have to kiss ass while doing what I like. Yes some designers will ask for requirements on flickr and was turned down due to that fact but I have a fairly thick skin that oh well and move on. I have fun as a blogger – when it stops being that will quit. I have enough stores, events that it keeps me busy as basically am not in SL as much as I used to. As regards to the flickr pics a lot of designers will state do not edit the image so you cannot even recognize along with the use of Blogotex that keeps track of bloggers for them and will suspend accounts if they are not compliant. That is why vlogging is getting popular and I cringe listening to this one vlogger that her voice is like nails on a chalkboard and after 2 minutes I just turn it off and stopped wasting my time listening to her.
Half of SL doesn’t understand the concept of the real definitions of simple words…like ‘jobs’ because they don’t have one. So of course it’s easy to believe they don’t understand the real definition of sponsorship either.

I agree that you need to be blogging, you volunteered for the job when you signed up. It may be a hobby to you but it’s a business to the people you are getting it from. It’s their time and their money, their products. You have to respect that.

Actually no it is not a job. It’s a hobby. Bloggers offer FREE advertising. In exchange for FREE advertising they enter into an agreement with certain bloggers in exchange for FREE items. Bloggers make store owners money but most bloggers don’t get paid a dime. Before you say they get paid in the free items. That is not payment it’s a trade, an exchange of services.
