So, I attempted to make the ULTRA event aware of what is happening with #7, #7 is one of the stores that participates in the event. Roman Godde simply responded with telling me I am now banned from the event for telling them that one of the stores involved may have potentially made some pretty horrible racist remarks. #14 – No, you’re not the only one. I’ve often bypassed something I might have otherwise purchased when the vendor model looks noobish and unattractive. It just makes me think the product is going to be equally unattractive. I feel the same way about vendor boards where the “adult” avatar looks like it’s twelve years old. I’m a woman. I want to buy things made for a woman, and if you’re going to show it to me on an avatar that could pass for my child, why would I buy it for myself?
But hey, it’s SL. There is a market for everything, and just because these things are unappealing to me, that doesn’t mean someone else won’t love them, and that’s the beauty of a free-market system.

6. No idea who this girl is, but if you give money to people in SL for ‘charity’ without proof, then you’re an idiot.
8. They put this kind of thing out for kinky events, good on them for doing trashy as well as nice. Not a lot of designers can switch between as many genres as they do. You can bet if they make it its because a lot of people buy it and who are you to tell a designer what to make? Don’t like it, don’t buy it.
11. This was probably a template example on a site somewhere and they both liked it. That many years gap in SL is like a life time ago.
15. K9 quality has always been dubious and it has been getting worse. The amount of clothing you get there that is rigged like crap or non-rigged accessories, messy textures and more. K9 owners need to take more responsibility and start to get tighter or the event is going to be dead by this time next year.

Krescendo is a store that can truly cater to the majority of SL. If you even just look at their flickr, or go to the store, you will see everything from those signs, to furniture with sometimes over 100 animations, to pools, to buildings etc. I wouldnt even attempt to finish a full list of their creations as they are all vast and unique. They are exceptionally talented people who spend countless hours and late nights creating. On top of that, they truly keep their customer bases feedback in mind and I can say in the case of these signs, I have seen them everywhere from clubs to personal homes, so it is clear they are hitting the mark with more than just a few people. While Im sorry you think they are lazy making them, they really arent. Each is custom mesh, textures either created or bought and tweaked to perfection, boxed, created advertsing for etc. Krescendo is many things but lazy is not one of them and this secret does an incredible disservice to the store and the creators.
And with that, I challenge you. Krescendo accepts requests. If you can think of a better idea than what is being put out then feel free to provide them with your ideas. I bet you if they are great, they will make them, because that is the type of creators they are.
#6 I agree. I used to know her personally. From my experience, she has really malicious intentions and will only talk to you if she needs something. All she brings is drama and lies about everything. Once you are useless in her eyes she will delete you for no reason.

#8 you clearly have no idea how prolific a store Krescendo is. They went from having a few items, to a huge mainstore filled with quality furniture and decor in just a year. They are in an insane amount of events, and if they want to take a “breather” in between their larger sets (the garage from mancave comes to mind) then who are any of us to judge? Clearly someone is buying these signs, otherwise they wouldn’t keep making them. If you don’t like it, don’t get it. It’s that simple. It’s not as though they have stopped making other stuff, just to focus on signs.
Hurrah Cynarah! and Hurrah Krescendo for making SL a much more FUN place! “Cute” is great but the world, especially SL, doesn’t run on “cute” alone! LOT’S of different SL people with LOTS of different likes and loves! Krescendo doesn’t cater to just one type of SL’er… but to ALL SL’ers!!! Krescendo is DEF NOT LAZY… in fact they are the opposite! They work their arses off to make everything the create the highest quality they can! Note they would have needed the fake account to generate the .txt file just FYI with dummy IMs. Then they would go amend at the back end. They tried to be clever typing in dates before the account was created to pretend it wasn’t them. It is amateur hour any troll knows how to pull this off.
You can change the chat log by going into the text file saved on your computer. Then simply open the chat screen and it will show whatever you put under that .txt file by that name.

Why are y’all acting like that secret wasn’t written by a person who admits they don’t demo properly? Stating a fact that happens to have a racial component is not racist.
Demo everything, don’t buy without a demo, and throw on a couple of dance moves while you’re at it to make sure you’re happy with your purchase. Meshes stretched beyond reasonable capacity are not a simple “fix”, and if a demo is provided, the creator did literally nothing wrong.

#7 – Pretty much not trying a demo and then blaming on the creator is your own fault. However, the designer could have handled it better without the last sentence.
I’m all about people being whoever they want in SL and dress up however they feel like but damn, people are weird. I agree that most girls on SL have a thicker and curvier look (not just black girls) and some actually look pretty good but there’s like a handful who just look nasty. Honestly, if youre that big on top and bottom, you aint gonna have a waist that small ok? It just doesn’t work.

@TrendyToes Generalizing white women just like black women has been generalized doesn’t help the situation any further. It only segregates more hate towards each other. Black or White, there are both anorexic and curvy and thick women on SL. The issue is the fact that there are indeed “too big” women in SL as some people have a weird fetish for increasing the appearence editor sliders to the maximum and the impact that it causes on rigged mesh apparell since these were made on a default body size that isn’t close to how much these body shapes are stretched. No one is complaining about curvy or big woman, there are many beautiful curvy and thick shapes that are realistic and doesn’t mess up the mesh. But increasing the appearence sliders to the maximum and hoping it won’t break the mesh is dellusional, any extremities, to the minimum and the maximum will cause issues on mesh, a stable state of rigg that won’t break down is usually with the sliders close to the middle or not so far off. Obviously this will limit the body shape size to a degree, but thankfully there are some body options out there. Now, remember these bodies were made mostly by creators that aren’t exactly involved with 3d outside of SL, so the rigg of the body itself is most of the time already messed up, and on top of that, they intentionally mess up the dev kit which turns any apparell designer into a magician for trying to make the impossible with an illusion of perfection since the perfection was made unavailable by the creator of those bodies themselves. Scripted items can create lag and require restarts occasionally for them to work properly. In other words doll, its not about YOU.

#15 – Kustom9 is the worst. The owner doesn’t give a crap about copy botters, bad quality items, empty booths, or designers that copy RL brands. All he cares about is money. They have the worst staff on the planet who are nothing but a bunch of sl suck ups. It used to be a great event but has gone so far down hill its not even funny. Mai continues to release crap at kustom9 with no customer service and the owner does nothing about it and still allows designers just like her in his event.
So many skin creators seem to phone in parts of the skin (usually the body), there is a skin creator who makes amazingly beautiful faces the store name is Imabee. Well I bought their slink appliers and they are pretty awful, the body one wasn’t terrible but there was issue where the cleavage seam does not line up with the curve of the breast and def some noticable seams or weird shading. But it was enough to overlook as long as I didn’t wear skimpy stuff or look too hard. However, the hands and feet appliers are awful and I told him as much, she said he’d try to fix them “someday” but still continues to sell them! Yes, they are only 100L but they are worth 0L as the feet appliers are just horrible and look like SL default avatar feet. The hands are better but still horrible. I can’t use his skins anymore because instead of fixing the slink he just made a maitreya applier which I’d assume actually looks better than the slink. When I wore his skin I’d have to make sure I used closed toe shoes and didn’t look at the seams as much as possible. I get it as a creator myself, fixing stuff sucks but it’s your job to do so. If you don’t plan on fixing it then stop selling it as you are selling something that is broken which is dishonest IMO. Especially after a customer complains to you and you brush it off and don’t fix it and keep selling it. Lmabee makes great skin with quality but the body indeed is old and lacks it. To my understanding, the reason why they don’t care about updating the body is because people like David Cooper and other stores who enjoys making a collage of other people’s skin work, will probably steal it afterwords and use it and profit more than the original creator themselves, like it happened with The Shops that has been violently raped for their skin textures.
That isn’t exactly “attractive” for an sl designer to put effort into anything since its going to be stolen like that (But hasn’t people been been stealing forever??)… Yes, but before, customers cared about who they were purchasing from, now they don’t really care who they’re purchasing from, as long as it looks good on them and that obviously has a consequence and this is one of them, now yall deal with it.
There is a saying you get what you pay for and sadly 100L for a skin is so cheep that unless it is on sale why would you ever ever buy it again without a demo also customer service to me is #1 they cannot fix their items, neglect notecards, im’s or whatever will never get my business and again WHY WHY WHY did you not try a demo and really look at the skin in a windlight like “Strawberry Singh headshot that has no shadows and make sure you look at the entire skin naked to see if there are any imperfections that either you live with or God forbid you go to a skin creator that KNOWS what they are doing instead of wearing cheap ass crap then whine about it
For #3 and #9: I really doubt that they did a sim restart just to tick/piss/ruin things for you. Here is a suggesting – Push away from the computer, stand up, and go for a walk. As for #9, I’m not sure if I detect a faint aroma of sour grapes or just a shitty attitude but, to each their own. Honestly, it sounds more like a lash out at people on Flickr than at the backdrops. Might want to take listen to the earlier suggestion and go for a walk as well.

Free photography/backdrop sims have been available for years…seems like they SL economy hasn’t been effected much by them though. Huh…odd that.
Considering I can see a variety of backdrops by a variety of creators when they are rezzed at Backdrop City or another sim, I have the opportunity to see them full-size and have discovered some creators that make them as a result. I hardly consider that it is destabilizing SL economy. It is not as though she is giving copies of them FFS. Way to denounce free-to-the-creator promotions!

First condolences for the loss of your Mother but am still first having a hard time processing why you would even put a link to a death notice on this type of forum as it kind of lacks respect for your family especially if you know who that person is then speak with them privately instead and the gofundme page that is not only throwing another level to this entire thing as a lot of people have lost their parents and from the amount of people that was mentioned in that obituary not sure even why you need to have strangers or anyone else help with your finances as it might seem harsh to say might want to check out part time jobs or whatever
