For number 3 – I see no issue. They upheld the rules whilst they had been in the event. They can do as they wish with their items however they so please to do. It’s not a slap in the face to customers. As with any item sold worldwide and not just in virtual worlds, most prices are dropped after any amount of time. For instance, the day after Halloween or Valentine’s day, you can purchase any candy you paid lots on the next day for almost free pricing. Sales and such are to bring new customers to items as well. Maybe some people couldn’t afford the item at the higher price, so didn’t have a chance to purchase them in the past and they now do have that option. While the store was in the event, they followed the rules. That’s all they were supposed to do.

Since everyone is so fond of numbers – let’s break it down, shall we? The sex and porn industry is a multi million dollar industry. A fact that can’t be denied. It does not matter if the country is in a recession – sex will ALWAYS sell. If you know anything about marketing then offering a discount rate (even for SL standards) will still bring in customers/clients if they believe they are getting a good deal. In Actuality, the only one making out in this particular scene is the escort. Kink is known for charging high prices, so even with an offer of a percentage off, escorts are still making good money. For example if an SL escort charges 5,000L for 15 minutes that is equivalent to $18.61 if you were to sell that 5k. Now if you did an hours worth of escorting your cash out per hour would be over $74. Please tell me what percentage of people make that in the real world an hour. Most people even with a college degree are not making that amount per hour. I see the 10K yearly crap that was posted blah blah blah. People tend to forget that not everyone does escorting as a full time RL job. Personally, I think it would be stupid to put all your eggs in one basket anyway. @03. That is good to know OP. It is darn time shops started running away from that gacha trend. It is only fun for resellers as most just buy an item they want on MP and for lowest price. That is if they cannot find an ordinary copy/mod item first as gacha is last thing anyone wants unless it is a small prop and dirty cheap. This applies to any such event and not only Arcade, I do know they have worst rules though and dictate few months have to pass until you can sell your own items again.

Actually your both wrong. Go read the wiki. You can play SL from 13 years old so long as you are part of an affiliated organization or are here for educational purposes. 13 is pg only. 16-18 can access mature and pg but not adult and finally 18+ can access adult.

There are usually two very large builds in our gacha that can be very high in LI because of the sheer size of the items. You cannot make a good looking building that takes up a 1/4 sim for low LI. All of the products have the LI listed next to them on the gacha key and they are average LI for what they are.
That being said. We do not benefit monetarily from the LI so it makes no sense to make “bloated LI” out of greed. It also isn’t greed to sell our products. Its our job and the Summer and Winter sales, where we make even less money on everything, would also not qualify as greedy. What is also hard for people to see is the initial development costs and monthly updates and improvements to the HUD and back-end database, which is a constant expense that depends on our reinvesting daily in the system. Which we do. Technology such as that we developed is not just putting up a building and calling it a day. It is never ending so as to assure that shoppers and creators are having a great experience. And, well, need I mention the fully dedicated server hosting? To further, PocketGacha invests a tremendous amount in advertising, social media, and outreach. Not so much to promote the PG brand as to promote each creator individually. If you happen to like our FB page you will see what we mean. We don’t just “post” as well, we boost and target to make sure that every creator has the best exposure and eyes on their work. At least now, when I’m browsing I know that I won’t miss out. The one time I did attend the Arcade, it was filled with rubbish aside from 1-2 creators. The route that you are taking, DRD is a good example for all creators.
I really am enjoying DRD here you have a new customer in me. I wish a few other quality creators who are still in the Arcade or worse Luxebox which excluded me as a male so I could never get the furniture or houses I wanted will follow suite. I have the lindens and come ready to get the goodies!
Actually, with arcade things are supposed to be exclusive on price, and rewards. We are told as customers that exclusive items will not be sold after the arcade, and prices aren’t supposed to be discounted. But since DRD decided to change their mind and discount things, and sell them in full packs, and re-release once-exclusive items, they screwed over their customers who come to expect these things that Arcade has brought for years. They even say it in their notice that things that “were exclusive in arcade” will now be available. I definitely feel cheated… For sure in the future I’ll not play their machines, and just wait for the next sale to get a full set copy/mod. Why even do gacha if you cancel out the very things that make it gacha (i.e. playing for a full set)? Why make exclusive items if you are going to turn around and make them non-exclusive again? Boooo.
It’s hard to imagine anything much more pitiful than someone having a temper tantrum over other people being able to get things they already have- and on top of that, *things that don’t actually exist*.
You obviously are far too invested in your SL, and should take some time to think about that.

You paid for your products. You have your products. The gifts and rewards we put out are not being removed from your inventory. You have the gifts but for some reason the notion that other people might have access to these gifts is upsetting to you. The rewards and gifts are intended to drive traffic to the Arcade for that round. Get more people to join the Arcade group that round, get more people to shop the Arcade that round. That is why you are offered gifts and rewards. Not because “they are special things the Arcade brought you for years” They are made by the brands in the event at no expense to the Arcade as a promotional tool.
We are now offering these gifts to ALL of our customers because we are no longer participating and we have changed the way in which we offer our gacha. If your experience is made less some how because other people who do not play gacha now have access to the sets…well have a look at the Marketplace, they have had access to buying that way for quite some time now. Just not from us.
This is hardly a ground breaking development and you have not been cheated out of anything. You got what you paid for. With the exception of our twice a year sales when the sets will be 30% off, they are priced at what the average person would spend to get ONE full set. During the sale well…that would be a luckier persons pulls for a few weeks out of the year. Something we are excited to be offering to anyone who wants to wait for them.
