based on your reply, I think you may be mistaking me for my wife. Either way, my wife hops on SL when I go to work as she has the free time to do so. She spends plenty of time with me beforehand. #1 is why my heart sank when Truth left Uber under Tyr-ant’s control. It’s a good event, but I loathe her personality and would never want to work with her. She’s always extremely condescending and sticks her nose where it doesn’t belong.
She doesn’t even do much for Foxes. The talent is all within Dani, as Dani does all the meshing and texturing. All Tyr does is rig and she only rigs for 1 size (Maitreya), which is the shittiest deal I’d never want to be on the opposite end of. To spend days and days modeling and texturing, to have your “partner” be too lazy to rig for more than just 1 body and then to have to split profits with her?! What a raw deal! She can’t be bothered to figure out how all these other brands are getting it done while Dani slaves away?
I feel bad for Dani and anyone else who has to deal with her.
I used to buy Foxes when they rigged for Belleza and was very disappointed when that stopped; the primary creator should work with someone better for sure.
I realized she was ripping Dani off when she said she weights all the rigs from scratch and doesn’t copy from the kits.

The whole scene in Second Life that tailors heavily towards “Old Men Young Girls” is icky as fuck, and it permeates almost everything. And let’s be real, as almost a rule it’s just middle aged women roleplaying as children reliving their sexual abuse from childhood with willing perverts… Excuse me, “daddies”.
Maybe spend the money you put into Second Life to buy your dumb trashy clothing on therapy, instead?
Does Etham really copy anyone? He releases the same shit over and over with slight modifications, Plain solid tinted textures are not cutting it. I miss the days when he made coats and more complex clothing.
He is not a copybotter. He’s one of the few creators left who (1) Models his own items (2) Rigs his own items (3) Textures his own items. He does everything himself. Most “creators” in SL outsource their work. Meaning, they pay someone to produce the models you purchase from them. Do you know how difficult it is to do everything yourself while the rest of SL is taking other measures to rise to the top? Given this, it is understandable that sometimes his items may look similar to one he previously released.
@Blaise – My comment has nothing to do with whether or not outsourcing is “shady.” I was responding to your claim that he “releases the same shit over and over.” The reason I bring up outsourcing is to shine a light on the fact that it is more difficult to create items when you do not outsource. Outsourcing gives a creator the ability to easily and consistently create brand new products for each event they participate in because their work is done by other people. In etham’s case, he does it all of the work himself, without help. So he can not be expected to constantly create “from scratch” items for every event. His items are not replicas of themselves, but sometimes it’s beneficial to take a base shirt one has already created, and modify that into a new item. This is why some of his items may look “piggy-backed” from a previous release he created.
Blaise, the out sourcing he means isn’t regular Sl Collabs , that’s legit.
Out sourcing is paying free lancers irl to mesh for you, hense the OUT in the phrase. And I think the collab comment was meant that doing it all alone is harder than collabing. Which is true.
And on a personal note as someone that actually knows , he really makes his own stuff and alone. He never once and never will copy anyone, it’s a shame that every butthurt person can post whatever lie they want.
Why is collaboration ‘other measures’ that are somehow suspect? If a team of people, each getting a share of the money, work on an item – one doing the texturing, one doing the rigging, one making the mesh – why is that shady?
