Unfortunately I missed my opportunity to talk about FMD with last week’s secrets being mostly centered around that club, because now the reply and leave comment abilities are gone I guess they do that with anything from a week ago. I only just saw what they were saying though, and I want to add a comment if that’s ok, plus it’s somewhat related to this thread as one of the secrets is about the owner (#5).
I have definitely noticed it’s a very clique-oriented place. There’s only a certain group of avies that seem to always be there and if you don’t suck up to them, laugh at their stupid vulgar tired jokes and whatnot, then you’re pretty much always ignored even when attending DJ gigs there and trying to participate in the chat or making jokes of your own. I have gone there on 3 different avatars (the others were RP avies) and experienced the same thing when trying to socialise in the local chat going on. As well, what’s worse is people there seem to be bothered by those who are not 100% hetero. I’ve been subject to flat out homophobia in IMs with people, when I was just trying to make friends and people to talk to. It’s no wonder LGBT people are not usually around there.
FMD is a great place to go if you are a WASP. It’s not a very diverse place at all. Not shocked by your comment at all.
May I ask what WASP stands for? Since I was a commentor on the last week, and alot of people did not agreed with my opinion and expierences I am happy about the QuayLewd-comment that expresses similar experiences as mine. I was alot of times in FMD in the past, when Belle was still the owner, later also sometimes with coremax as owner, but not as often because it started to change. And when the pyara-group took over it became way more worse. I neve understood where they came from, I have never seen them before in there and suddenly they were the owner and ruinined the original club and idea. Yes it might be succefull on certain terms, but how is the saying? cheap things are liked by alot of people, thats the same phenomen.

I am the creator of this sl venture. We have almost 400 scouts now and we have nothing to do with the actual girl scouts. We do have uniforms that are exclusive to out scouts. We do sell cookies with 1/2 of all sales going to a charity the troop chooses, as well as funds uniforms and the cost of earning badges, of which there are hundreds. It incumpases many aspects of sl and offers many learning opportunities. I have put tons of time and effort into creating a program that not only is fun but allows everyone involved to become a close nit community. Its sad that you feel the need to dump on things you don’t understand and can’t get your tiny brains around. Not only is it sad but not one of you complaining has ever come and talked to me, not any questions about what we do, not any inquires at all. Unless you’re actually involved in the Gurl Scouts then you really don’t have the option to sit here and criticize it. Everyone one is above the right age to be involved. It is very strict on being the proper age. Each scout troop raises money for many different organizations within SL. The outfits are worn for events and bridging, just like normal scouts. But yes to some you can consider it age play. There are many different things that people participate in SL. Animal play, sex sims, tiny tots, fairies, Sci-fi, Gor. Until you actually experience, see for yourself, or actually talk to someone then perhaps it’s not your place to throw judgment or pass it on anyone. Because I know for fact that MOST of everyone has taken part of things they would never ever do outside of this game.

Wearing a costume is one thing – roleplaying as an organization meant for children is another lol.
It is not. It has child and teen divisions – there is certainly adults in it. However, most of those are organised by schools or local youth centres and organisations which involve such events thus most leave when school finishes. Still, in my area (when we had scouts), school leaving age was 19 for comprehensive and 20 for technical; 18 if you started school early and no, you could not drop out before 18. Plus, the biggest group was actually teens (14 and up). To be even peskier – age of consent was and is 15 there (does not matter on internet but clarifying on scouts). I did see the opposite as well – areas with majority of kids or even toddlers plus in places with higher age of consent (it is technical just when dealing with teens – it becomes a huge differene). I can see why OP meant it as creepy but same can be argued for school uniforms – it depends on how your area illustrates it so connotations with childhood vary (in some cases only oldest teens have uniforms while in some it is opposite). Scouts seem more in the army uniform section for me as they looked similar where I grown up and at some point they tried to recruit 16 – 20 scouts and created a bew rank before starter one (I absolutely forgot the starting one then as it changed name). Also – different thing when people roleplay adults roleplaying. Blame Pride for lack of costumes to the point I confused real coppers with fake ones (their jackets seemed awfully dodgy). Trouble makers are usually the first to be banned and usually the first to come to virtual-secrets and type a load of bollocks about the club owners and if it isn’t the banned people doing it, it is an ex, full of hate and wanting revenge.
As far back as I can remember, all the FMD owners have had drama from banned members or ex’s, so before you read post #5 and Judge the current FMD owner, just remember that this is not new, he is not the first owner to be dragged through the dirt, it goes hand in hand with owning the club and it won’t be the first or last time the hate filled posters use the virtual-secrets platform to post crap about a person, be it the FMD owner or some poor bastard who pissed them off.

There have been cases of where the tattoo its self is copyrighted. Like in the case of Mike Tyson’s eye tattoo. Warner Brothers were sued for using it in The hangover part 2. It was settled out of court but the artist (Not Tyson because it was the artwork that was copyrighted) walked away with a fist full of cash.
I think it’s all up to whether they want to pursue a case or not. Disney does in a heartbeat but someone like Coke encourages the use of their logo. Thrasher Magazine may be honored so many people want their name on them .
