#10 – I have no dog in this fight but thank you for calling this out. As someone who is very much a supporter of #blacklivesmatter, I am really appalled at seeing it invoked in some slapfight over baby clothes in a video game. Whether you agree with the movement or not, it’s definitely about life and death and not about whether you can buy the colors of clothing you want for your virtual toddler. Treating it as such is trivializing the concerns and opinions of everyone on both sides of the actual, serious issues that the movement is about.
Also, if you are an irl white person with a POC avatar, you have a moral obligation to avoid stereotypes and avoid appropriating POC struggles for your own purposes. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a white person having a POC avatar, but if you do so you have to put in the effort to make sure you’re avoiding blackface or other racial parodies.

If you have “beautiful children” and an adoring husband, why are you here then?
Why did you allow something like clothing colors in a game make you go off the deep end and start a rant about it? You didn’t just mention that you would like to see more color options, you tried to rip the designers apart, making statements such as “they are cheap and shitty” then you went even further in accusing people of being racist, which had absolutely nothing to do with anything.
This indicates you are unstable, insecure, bitter and angry. Not a “pampered woman with husband and beautiful kids”
Nobody with a wonderful RL would be that upset over a game.

Funny because whoever uploaded two of those secrets above had your original post as well as comments on it. A few of the posts screenshotted were your status updates that you posted after the initial bitchy pastel post.
You were angry over seeing pastels at a fairytale themed event? Pissed off enough to rant and insult stores – and yes, you indirectly named them. If seeing pastels at a fairytail event caused you THAT much grief, then I suggest calling this number: (212) 673-3000. They’ll accept your call anytime and offer you some free counseling.
As far as the likes and dislikes goes, it’s already been shown and proved that someone had to fix those votes. Multiple people even agreed and proved it. Lourdes even commented and insinuated that people kept changing their name to back themselves up. But hey, if you’re SO concerned about my likes/dislikes being rigged to having a negative ratio, maybe you should worry about your own that people have been down-voting all week, Little miss double-digit dislikes.
As far as hiding who I am – that’s laughable. My avatar picture is right there. I even told who I was far up above (but with your reading comprehension, it’s no surprise you ignored that).

Your comments that you left somewhat contradict what you’ve said here. They also show you’ve not only changed your name/email to back yourself up, but you’ve even used the same name/email to try backing yourself up while pretending to NOT be you.
The cheap comment was directly from you. YOU said it, not another girl. She voiced her opinion on saying she was getting tired of pastels, and YOU went to the extent of agreeing and calling the texturing cheap.

I’m just a person who was stuck in bed all week and got treated to someone completely nuts flying off the handle, logging multiple names, downvoting accounts to look “right”, getting friends to defend her and spouting off insults instead, and just acting like a typical drama llama. I’m smiling, Izy, and I’ve been smiling since I realized you were like one of those tiny dogs with a huge bark that never shuts up but couldn’t bite if it wanted to. This has been like an episode of Jerry Springer. It’s beautiful.

I don’t want to step in to all of the petty bickering but I would like to make a few observations regarding the drama over Izzabellas post and the creators involved. I have all parties on my FB friends list so I did see the original post come across and it didn’t require a lot of imagination to figure out what stores the post was aimed at. It isn’t the first time these designers have been singled out for their choice of textures, etc. Izabella could have chosen to word her post in a far less aggressive way to convey her desire to see these popular designers doing more than the same color palette repeated. Using words like “cheap” was unnecessary and deny, as she has, words like that are intended as a shot fired. Flip side.. I think it is fair to say there was a lot of over reacting on behalf of the persons targeted. Do the creators have the right to defend their product? Of course! But the level of professionalism that is often displayed by Harlow and some of the other designers is really lacking. I am not suggesting that being upset in itself was over reacting. I am, however, suggesting that throwing around vendor bans, getting into word wars and making a colossal deal out of someone not liking your product is overkill. That kind of behavior does not bring you business. I, myself, do not shop Harlows brand nor another popular brand because of the things I have mentioned above. While I’ll agree that I wasn’t the most professional person about this situation, as I explained on the latest Facebook post I put up… I will not apologize for defending myself or my store or my family. I admit I may have gotten a little agressive with my responses, but we are being called bullies, having our family attacked as well as our abilities as creators, and we simply ARENT doing that in response. I even attempted to contact Izabella personally and squash the beef, mind you I may have come across as a little pissed off as I was being attacked. But I got told to essentially shut up, sit down and ‘get out of her box’. This entire situation was blown out of proportion not by myself or my kids or maybe even Izabella, but instead the people who wanted to essentially jump on the band wagon and fuel the drama. We didn’t make these secrets. Other people did. Though people will call us liars for this, it’s the truth. I have stated MULTIPLE times that I wanted this whole thing to end and be over and forgotten, but other people have continued to bring it up and add more drama to it. What Toxxic said rings true here and I wrote a reply above. Your assumptions only make you look like the old saying goes. Bascially your detective work is likely wrong because you would need to post 12 times here and await moderation to be able to upvote and downvote. So your detective work becomes null and void as far as I can tell weren’t 12 new user names or posts all in a row is what your trying to imply in a 2 hour period. So please stop trying to assume people are doing things that they arne’t. You really are only making yourself look bad at this point.
One other thing that goes with this as the times and dates are on this website, so it doesn’t take a whole lot of detective work to figure out that your post is actually very wrong Super Sleuth 🙂 Go through and make a list of everyones name and times since it actually was that easy to prove your silly post wrong.

My comments have all used my email that’s linked to my google account, hence why my comments have my photo next to them. Since I haven’t gone and switched emails every time I comment (unlike some of you), My comments don’t need to go through moderation. The face that yours supposedly does – which you just admitted – shows you keep swapping your emails. You also don’t need to actually comment while swapping those emails out – you can merely like/dislike.
Also, add in the fact that until yesterday when 4 comments popped up from around the same time in defense of “claire,” her comments gained 14 likes and the people who commented against her also went up by 14 dislikes is very curious.
You can keep swapping your emails and voting for yourself, but the proof is in your own activity there, hun. Like I said, next time you might not want to be so obvious of trying to make it look like you support yourself.
Just a note to you all from someone who has a router that changes IP addresses every time it’s reset (which most do) – you can 100% down-vote, reset the router, and down vote again without any issue from the same email. No need to make twelve accounts, just reset your connection or use someone elses, and boom.
So screaming it’s impossible is sort of useless. I could reset my router 12 times and upvote this comment if I wanted to without creating a new account.
Upvoted it 9 times using just a plain old phone company issued router and resetting/reconnecting after each upvote, didn’t change account.
Myth busted.
Lol, I’m not here defending my brand. I don’t make clothes in SL, nor did I ever say anything about Bit. Hell, I didn’t even know about or pay attention to this site until a few weeks ago.
However, the stores involved never bashed Izabella. Izabella bashed them, but they didn’t go bashing her. Whatever situation happened with Bit, I don’t know the details of and can’t speak about that one. This one, however, I saw BOTH sides and how they behaved.
Contrary to your belief, but no store owner deserves to be attacked and trashed over a customer’s petty dislike of their color scheme. There’s a difference between having to act professional toward normal customers or people outright slandering and trashing your store and expecting not to defend yourself.
Stores and Employees in RL would not sit quietly while a customer acted the way Izabella did. That customer would have been thrown out of the store and in many cases barred indefinitely from shopping there because of how they behaved.
I’m not Claire, Izabella or any of their friends, just someone annoyed by your blatant lies!

So if you had say 3 accounts on here you could discconect. Reconnect. Add three more downvotes. Rinse.
Do that enough times and within like 15 minutes, you easily have 14 downvotes.

I just tried the up an down vote on my ipad with no login information at all and it doesn’t let you up or down vote on the same ISP. So your comments about someone rigging the votes are bullshit basically. I was curious if your comments are even correct. So your theory that I supposedly made 12 account is now exactly WRONG Just Saying. Thanks for the fun with that proven fact. Only way to up an down vote things is to have 12 different ISPS amd I don’t think in this day and age even I could afford that as internet is very expensive.

Do I realize if my phone is connected to the wi-fi and not the internet? Are you dumb?? The wi-fi is the wireless connection to the internet provider. The wi-fi is the SAME connection, just served wirelessly as opposed to being connected via ethernet cables. Internet and the wi-fi for said internet is the SAME connection to the SAME isp. As for your second comment, I’m not part of any “clique.” I typically run around solo doing whatever I please, really. But I appreciate you thinking I’m in one <3 😛 And it would be likely that someone MAY have provided a link to draw 12 people….except that one of the people "drawn in" to read already admitted to having been on here since day one reading everything. The ISP has nothing to do with it LOL If I were to go to my phone and connect it to the same wifi network, I’d be able to give second votes still. I personally don’t bother doing that (as you can tell, or my comments and comments I don’t agree with would just get two likes/dislikes right away), but others do it.
Also, as far as spoofing an ISP goes, it’s possible to do. All you need to do is start with a proxy.
Like I said above and even someone else pointed out, it’s incredibly odd and ironic that after 5 days, you mean to really believe and defend that 12 people decided to randomly pop on here and up/down vote throughout the entire page within the time span of 2 hours. Again, some of these posts are FIVE days old and they’re all of a sudden liked/disliked when no one had come to back that person up? No, hun. That’s not any sort of coincidence that 12 people sauntered on through here and up/down voted everything at the same time.

“Being professional and acting respectful no matter if you’re being attacked or not” is exactly what Izabella didn’t do. Everyone who went from this post to her FB saw a good ten posts full of name calling, threats, and general “imma badass” bs. Even with her original FB deactivated, there’s still a good five posts on her adult account and her new account.
When you went to the FB pages of the people named in Pastelgate – their FB pages had next to nothing. No threats to hack, no calling her a bitch, nothing right up front, nothing that would make anyone go back. Maybe they have something now, I don’t know, but that makes Izabella look very very guilty and like the problem.
If you all are her friends and determined to out these other women as “the bullies”, you might want to start with teaching Izabella damage control (she has none. She went full LOLcow on this and is still going full LOLcow) and drop some screencaps of the other side looking just as bad. Surely you have them, yes?

Wanted to put this out for all the readers here. This same group of people tried to bully the Toddleedoo Creator by going around spreading lies and bullshit as well saying the body coudln’t be rigged on the kid size. They then had to backtrack after Bit came back with an update.

Considering the way you’ve typed thus far, I highly doubt you have a degree of any sort. If you SERIOUSLY had a degree in graphic design, you wouldn’t only be bashing those 3 stores – you’d be bashing all stores on SL because let’s face it, no store on SL has the graphic work of a high-end graphic designer. Yes, the Toddleedoo Baby body is the one you would want. Most stores make for the baby size.
I just spent an hour looking at all the clothing that each and every one of these stores makes. All of it is cute as hell. Every single one of the “pastel” girls being attacked have super cute stores. The mesh is adorable, the textures are beautiful, the ads are very well done.
They clearly put alot of effort into every aspect of their stores, which to me means they really care about their work and their customers.
The person attacking them – well, let’s just say it doesn’t appear she cares much about her work or her customers.
So while it may be true that it would be nice to have more color options, it certainly doesn’t change the fact that the works that these stores are putting out are clearly high quality.
Next time, try this : “Hi, I love your work, it’s very beautiful. I was wondering if perhaps you, or one of your collab stores, would be willing to add some new colors and patterns”?

My drama comment was in fact aimed at anyone using this situation to get sales. What upset me was not asking for more colours, it was the attitude around it, and also that an event as a whole was grouped together when there’s more than just our stores in the event many who use pastels and many who don’t. Then race was bought into it, which really hurt, because it was never about that. And now people are dragging my friends and family into it. Copybotting uses a program in the game to create the object and import it into second life. Now, I can’t speak for Ivy or Grace, but Adelyner, Cricket, and Harlow (which is who you just responded to by the way, you responded to Harlow, not Adelyner) upload progress picture gyazos and video gyazos of them working on their meshes.
Now, considering how copybotting ACTUALLY works, they can’t upload those progress gyazos if they were copybotting. Since you clearly have no actual understanding of how copybotting happens, I suggest you youtube some videos of the older SL viewers that are now banned that would show how you copybot things because from what I can see here, you don’t have any idea of how the process happens.
Once a copybotter always a copybotter, and people who support a copybotter AKA grace are copybotters as well Who gives a shit if they upload any videos, doesn’t prove anything, they can still be botting shit on the side.

The way copybotting works, it saves a COPY of the item to your PC. That copy then gets directly IMPORTED (not uploaded – they’re two different things in the viewers) into Second Life to be an exact copy of the original item. You cannot tweak it or edit it as a save file on the computer in any program.
Again, I cannot speak for Ivy and Grace on copybotting because I don’t speak to them much. I’ve never spoken to Grace and I’ve only spoken to Ivy on a handful of occasions as she used to be my sister’s god-daughter. I also do not follow either of them nor am friends with them on facebook, so I cannot speak about their uploading progress on their work.
You did, however, accuse Harlow, Cricket, and Adelyner of copybotting. Those three people I CAN speak about as they’re close to me and I am friends on facebook and see their progress on every piece of work they make. Copybotting takes a couple of minutes to occur – from exporting the file from sl to your computer and then re-importing it into SL. The 3 girls I can speak about spend WEEKS on their work. Not to mention that again, you cannot upload the exported copy file into things like Blender (at least to my knowledge). Therefore, your accusation on them copybotting is completely false and outright slander.

I don’t play SL and haven’t since 2009 but my partner has been an avid designer for just over a year now and despite my reservations over the kind of toxic community Second Life has come to foster, I have supported her relentlessly. Every now and then something will catch my eye that reminds me of what a wretched hive of scum and villainy Linden has let SL degrade into and for a moment I’ll almost regret the respect I have for my partner’s desire to follow her craft and provide creative assets for the grid’s consumer base. As a designer myself — self taught though leading a team of accomplished digital artists and user experience professionals IRL for the past 4 years — I know the ins and outs of trying to appease every demographic better than the majority of you. You will never please anybody, but you should never try to. Design differs from art in that it is a creative endeavour made functional for a specific purpose, or in the case of Second Life, for a specific demographic. Like all capitalist systems, SL works on supply and demand and you are more than welcome to pass on one vendor in favour of one that better suits your personal tastes, but to bash on the designers when you haven’t put a single cent down on their products is insulting. Whether the hate on this POC-emulating resident came from one voice or many is irrelevant. I’m stunned a child avatar would have their child avatar facebook filled with swear words, threats to hack people, co-opting social movements, name calling, call outs, etc. You’re a child in Second Life. Act like one. She is either the world’s best stereotypical POC roleplayer or completely off the handle in both RL and SL. I’m willing to put money on the second and I do think she needs to step away from her computer, call a nearby therapy clinic, and get serious help for her explosive and violent anger and her NPD.

How do you know what they were making and how did you see them in their skybox?
You can see who is nearby on firestorm, it’s right by the friends tab.
Just right click on the name and you can zoom on them, TP to them, offer TP, etc.
It has a limit, if you’re too far away you can’t see the person.
You can see everyone on the region, where people are by range. Usually when there are a lot of people gathering on the same range, there might be something fun going on.
It’s quite useful, if the store redecorates, and you got the wrong landing point into the void you can just TP to someone at the right LM.
But don’t do it, we’re not supposed to use these. People might get offended…….

If you knew anything about my store, you’d know my textured items, which i only make for 3 or 4 events all had a 16 colour palette ranging from pastel to bolds. I have since increased that palette to 25 colours varying from the palest pink to black. Ivy has been creating pastels for years, EVERYONE knows this, she makes what she likes and alot of people agree with her clearly, or else people wouldn’t still be buying it. As for Eeilee -She makes heads and skins what has she got to do with anything? And yes these people are my friends, they are the people I spend my time with in SL, because they’re my family, and because I enjoy them as people. Even if they made baby goth clothes, I like their personalities I don’t care what they make. I think people need to step back and look around at their own friends and realise if you didn’t have things in common with those people you probably wouldn’t spend much time with them at all. I will not be dragged into some pathetic argument about colour palettes JUST because I spend time with people. When Blush came out, I thought wow, did Ivy change her brand name? Now there is Turducken, Meshe, Blush, Paper Damsels, and all the other collaboration people. All the same texturer. The end product all look like Turducken.
Here’s the thing… I met Ivy when I was new to meshing. I had already been a loyal customer of hers and loved her style because it MATCHED my own. I didn’t become some Ivy drone. We even named our store Blush because it embodies what I wanted the store to be. Bright, frilly, cutesy, girly, pastel things. Even so though. We like our items. We make our own meshes. Even though we use the same programs we all use them differently and do different things to customize our meshes and items. Like Poppy said… No one is forcing anyone to buy or items or bitching that they don’t. However were now again being called out for main ting our own identities all because the are similar to Ivys? Really? Sorry we don’t put copy righted logos on tinted AO maps and sell those. You don’t like it you really don’t have to buy it. We won’t be hurt. This is a source of income, yes… But it’s not paying our bills. If we were in it to make money we would not be making children’s clothes. So we do this mostly for fun and the income is a nice bonus. We will not accept being told our items are trash or cheap or ugly. It’s unacceptable. We accept criticism… But we do not accept the smearing or our items. Sorry. Actually… Eeilee is Ivy’s best friend… and we’re all family. So if you see us sitting together working on our items it’s because we live together. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Our items are similar because we have similar tastes. The color pallets are similar because we work with the same texture-er. But thats fine! We had and still have NO issue with bright colors! We just prefer the pastel ones!! Most of us release some bright additions to our BeBe Bundle items to show that we not only love brights as well, but we can, in fact, make them! If someone who didn’t like pastels had come to us and asked us for brights nicely, we would have happily made them… but we were attacked and shamed for our love of pastels. Something so silly. But in the future we will be adding a few bright colors here and there! We hope you guys like these new additions and enjoy toe added colors in our BeBe Bundle items! <3

I just bought a bed from eeilee and her mesh looks nice to me. show us one of your meshes so we can hold them up, judge them, and decide what program you use to make yours.
Her meshes are very unnatural looking. They look too big and floating around the body. No natural folds. Boots look super thick around calves and thin on ankles, like they were made of stretchy fabric tightened on the body. She just doesn’t know how fabric falls on the body. Lack of knowledge on drawing and observation, clothes don’t work that way. Maybe you can’t see it, but someone who did drawing/clothing study will notice.
The others use the MD generator, the clothing mesh fall on the body in a natural way automatically.
But…You were making fun of the others for using MD.
So, you make fun of people for using software that makes their mesh look more natural and you make fun of people who handmake it.

All I said is they looked the same because they use the same software = same style of folds, same UV map… MD meshes are pretty decent, it’s a software to simulate clothes anyway.
Mesh can look different depending on how it’s textured though, so having the same “handmade texturer” helps these looking very similar even when people try to make different designs.
THEY ALL look like turducken shit cause she’s using the same damn fabrics over nad over and over and over.. only takes a blind human to figure that one out. * note sarcasm*
@6 – Wanna profit? Stop making gachas and people will flock to your shop. Most of us just want specific items. I buy those of marketplace from whomever does the lowest price as I only use gacha for cheap props and never clothes or furniture because I need those items to be copyable in case SL borks and it borks a lot.
If you want shops to do less gachas, be prepared to pay a premium price and not complain about it not being sale or event priced. Gachas work out on a labor-to-income ratio, because people pull more than they would if they just bought one item in a store, underpriced to sell.
Sometimes, most times as I understand, gachas are the only way a designer makes their break-even point for an event.
OP, I was in SL since 2007 and we had no such inventions back then and the market was fairer and more stable. We also did not have any templates. Yes, some people done poorly but they progressed, some were brilliant from beginning and flopped. It used to not be a game about shopping, hell many people I known made money by having SL jobs and never spending or gaining a penny. Yeah, if I want another game, can move to another game but yes, items were less price inflated and creators put way more care into them because they did not run from event to event. So, most of us hate that gacha, event, elitist blogger thingie and are waiting this fad to pass.
I’d be happy to pay more for a product I could actually choose and that is copyable..

To answer your question, about why I am as you put it “obsessed with reborn dolls”… I do not take offense to your opinion.. you are entitled to it.. however, I have had sever miscarriages, and still born births… I am too old to try again, and I am happy with the family I have now.. however, there is still that feeling, that I should have been able to hold my babies.. Just because I lost them, doesn’t mean that the feeling passes over time.. sure, the first burn, and pain fades but, I sometimes, just want to hold a baby.. and since the likelihood of that happening around here anytime soon, is very unlikely.. I choose to hold a doll, or a teddy bear.. A reborn doll, is a beautifully created collectors item.. A lot of time, pain, heart and soul goes into creating these beautiful dolls… and, for people like myself, they offer that relief of holding a small baby and can often give just that small relief.. maybe from a panic attack, or a sad memory.. However, I have one that my SL daughter sent me, (x… ), and Sophia, the dolls name, sits in a special area, away from anyone but, on display.. I rarely hold her.. just being near her, helps. And because of this, I would love to start collecting them, and also, one day, I would love to try my hand at creating them. A couple years after my 13 year old sister died in a car accident, my dad bought my stepmom a reborn doll that looked so much like my sister did as a baby. It was just one way of bringing my stepmom comfort. That doll stayed on their bed during the day for years.I never saw another one until my daughter wanted one, and I started looking into them. I couldn’t afford most of them, but found a new designer on eBay and my daughter was thrilled with that doll. It’s a little worse for wear these days, as her paint is coming off and she’s got some blemishes, but one day, I hope my grand daughter will enjoy her as much as my daughter did. I’m a grown woman, who’s never experienced infertility or miscarriage. I just find reborn dolls to be fascinating and beautiful. If I could afford to, I’d probably have a collection. Some people find dolls in general, creepy. There are people afraid of clowns and those that love them. I know a lot of doll collectors in RL who are into reborn dolls and while it’s not my thing, there’s stuff I’m into that they don’t find interesting either (like being a kid in SL, that’s an instant “you are weird and creepy” to a lot of folks but to others who do it – it’s a coping mechanism). I knew someone who made reborns and it’s a whole involved process, it’s an art form and I can respect that.

i’m one of those people that perfer to buy one item we like, than paying over and over again ending up with a lot of what i dont need. it’s been a long time since i paid a gacha machine, i’m always at yardsales. you can use firestorm area search to search by creator name and the highest price you’re willing to pay, takes more time but so far i’ve never been scammed this way
This is the first time I ever visited this site. My first impression is that the SL Community can do better. I’m pretty sure the secrets this forum was meant for were our own SL desires. Also, tips and tricks on how to better SL. For example: how to blog better, or take better pics or even create new content. Instead, my mind was dragged into a pile of bullshit drama, accusations, name-calling, racism, bitter and petty arguments. I feel dumber already. I’m honestly disappointed at the quality and caliber of people that make up our community. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be visiting this site again. I appreciate the designers that work hard and make original content, I don’t think there is anything wrong with those who only texture due to not being able to make their own mesh yet, they also work hard. I appreciate the creativity and originality that everyone brings to SL, it is part of what makes this such an amazing platform to work with. But, all that other stuff is so extra… I hope you all find something better to do with your time in the future. To the site admins, I wish you luck… I hope some day this site becomes what it could be.

I do love when “new” people drop in and tell a site that’s been around for years what it was meant to be or should be.
As I’ve stated in various articles and interviews I’ve done regarding this site. It’s meant to be a reflection of the community. And that is what it is. If you need self help there are lots of places for that. This is not one of them nor was it ever meant to be.
What’s wrong with doing what you want in your OWN store? If I had a clothing store I would make what I like. If people don’t buy it, oh well! You have to love what you do. No one is making you buy their stuff. Also I just have to point out the ” keep talking and posting about me it only makes me more famous” comments are just plain dumb. No one cares if you had a famous SL designer make your avie. No one cares who your big avie is either. You are not SL famous. Keep the ignorant comments coming all it does is hurt your store, friends and family.
I sort of laughed at the “a famous stylist made my avvie” too. I’ve seen some “SL famous” designers who need to go back to art school because they cannot understand basic human proportions. Not a fan of people who need someone else to design their entire look so they can show off like they’re above us peons who actually learned to make our own avatars.
I’m also really confused by what she considers “pastel” now, she posted a picture of an avatar in a shirt that most certainly wasn’t pastel at all but said it was a “vivid pastel”. Does she want neons or something?
I’ve gotta say.. I won’t care much about this next week, they’ll be new secrets, but I’ll remember not to buy from her shop for any of my TD friends. Not because I’m “racist” or even because of these secrets but because she’s a nasty person and I wouldn’t want to deal with her if I needed customer service. wouldn’t hurt to add a couple more vibrant colors once in a while, because people are requesting, just need to move some sliders on photoshop once the texture is done, but now it became a battle between these people, so it’s “their” pallette, and they end up using in every single collab they make to shut you non-pastely person up, don’t like it don’t buy it.
I will just repost a part of one of the comments i made in FB: “[..]I don’t have anything against resellers, but i’m 22 and i work 10 hours per day in order to provide good stuff and have the money to live. Wow the amount of posts over this pastel drama, and they have the nerve to call that chick salty. I’ve never seen so much butthurt in my life. Looks like the designers are the salty ones for being called out numerous times by numerous people.
I’d be surprised if they WEREN’T salty. If you read the above comments by the girl whining about pastels, she wasn’t trying to make simple requests or suggestions, she was telling them their textures are boring, cheap and shitty and that they are all racists for using pastels and white kids in their ads.

The fact that this girl actually said #blacklivesmatter and #teambrownie ruined any chance of her comments being taken seriously by any respectable designer. It’s embarrassing and I actually physically cringed when I read it.

Well the girl playing up this whole race thing is actually a white person in rl playing a black girl sooooo.
From what I can tell, HALF of the people playing POC in SL are chalk white. I’m the color of see through pale and not a POC but watching someone play out the stereotypes of what they /think/ a POC is upsets me. People of any race are unique and none of us are 100% of a stereotype.
I found her FB and she is incredibly stereotypical, down right nasty, and just loves the sound of her own voice. There are a dozen better ways to say “I really would prefer other choices besides pastels” besides sounding like a bad stereotype and co-opting a social movement…
And then we have the most educated child A-Kid calling other kid avis that don’t fit his pastel dreams standards “fish lippped hipsters”.

I’m the original creator of the meme and guess what – I nor my sister uploaded it here. Why would we have to? I already posted it publicly. I have no shame about being the creator of it, nor do I have any reason to upload it anonymously. It’s very likely that it was one of the dozen or so people that “liked” the meme or commented on it when it was posted.
That’s typically what happens with memes. They get shared around by the people that see it and either agree with it or find humor in it. Sorry, but that’s just how the internet works.

One of my RL best friends since JR high makes them as her only income IRL due to disability. Some people have them custom made to resemble a child they lost or the ideal of what the baby they can’t ever have would look like. It’s kinda nasty for someone to hate on someone for this. Even if the dolls themselves creep me the heck out. (all dolls do though not just reborn)
When I spent some 5k on a single Gacha then yes I will bloody well sell my spares. I end up on page 1 of the MP a lot because I sell all commons under draw price because lets face it the market will be overrun 2 hours into the Gacha being available. Rares however yeah I mark them up if I have duplicates I have to make some of my money back usually I break about even or a little over what I spent.
I have a Gacha budget that works with turning around and re-selling if I stop doing that my husband might just decide no more Gachas or no more tier payment cause yeah most people have to budget their money. So if you want to keep selling me your stuff I have to be able to turn around and sell what I do not want/need alternatively no sales at all!
Funny thing all the rares I try buying are always pretty darn expensive and often snatched up before I can hit the buy button maybe we use a different MP?
I mean these creators keep making Gachas so the pay off even with all the factors in place has to be good enough still otherwise they would just sell the items/sets at normal prices with the usual permissions. (Which in most cases I would totally prefer to be honest!)

And that’s just off the top of my head (and a quick search on marketplace)

#4 – If you don’t like what she posts or says about reborn dolls…the solution simple…unfriend her so you are subjected to it. What is creepy to you may be a saving grace to her. Each person has the right to love what they choose and if that is a reborn baby doll, then so be it. #6 – I get that designers work hard. But please, also understand that there are gacha resellers that depend on the sales. We sink thousands of lindens into your gachas to turn around and resell most of it. Sometimes, we take a loss, sometimes, we make a huge profit. Reselling and trading is the name of the gacha game. If you don’t like how it works, then stop making gacha items. With that said, I do agree there are a lot of copybotters selling out there and trust me, those of us in the gacha resell community work diligently to pinpoint those and watch out for each other. #11 – Neither of these brilliant designers use templates. They both make their own original mesh. If you look close an still think they look like those templates…then you apparently are blind. The template pants, the legs are baggy an wrinkled…the ones that were at uber were smooth and slim fit. The template shirt is much longer than the one that was at uber.
