Re: 5) For one brief moment I thought that ongoing SL players might have evolved passed the point of catty bullshit and never ending copyright infringement (which no one seems assed enough to actually raise the alarm to lawmakers, journalists, or copyright holders.) It’s a sad world where the most newsworthy item this week is that one submitter seems aware enough of current events in the real world to have identified Hillary Clinton and attribute a series of insults normally directed at Clinton towards a hated SL rival. I don’t expect much more from virtual-secrets, it is after all a submission based reflection of the community it serves (TY Kess & Lourdes for willingly wading in the shit week after week.) I suppose I just had higher expectations from a community I fondly remember as being creative, intelligent, friendly and fun. Please, for the the betterment of humanity, just unplug for ONE day. Go outside without your phone and just get some fresh air, look around at how amazing life is when it isn’t mesh. Talk to real people around you, your kids, a parent, a neighbor not on a phone but looking them in the face. Read a book, any book, even just one page (not online or on your kindle). Think about your feelings on big issues like healthcare or refugees or the minimum wage (no tv, commercials, google, or social networking). Take a nap, let your mind dream. For one day just step away from the computers and figure out what your actual priorities are and how they match up to your lived priorities.
