Wow, the lack of self respect and grammar is insane in this place. I don’t know anything about the creators being spoken about, nor do I care to know about them or how they make their items. That’s almost like going into the world trying to find out information about the creators of my RL shoes or RL panties. Who on Earth has time for all that? Okay, well obviously some do. xD
For real though, the only thing I’ve learned in reading all of this, is that you ladies are tacky and have very poor personalities. This did not in any way make me change my mind about the creator or the items I purchase from them. I don’t buy them because they created them and made every inch of it themselves. I buy it because it makes my avatar look amazing, and I’m pretty sure that’s why all of you purchase the things you purchase, and wear them.
Sitting here simply throwing things out about people you really know nothing about, aside from disliking their products for not being “original” is a bit childish. Why are any of you taking so much time out of your day to do this? I couldn’t even laugh at most of the things being said, I sat here with a blank look thinking: “Oh lord, I share a virtual world with these adults and interact with them..ugh..”
Have some dignity and respect for yourself ladies, carry yourself with class and make YOU look good by complementing everyone that creates things. Regardless of how original you may or may not think it is. Because in my eyes, all I see is pure, childish jealousy, being thrown out into a random website.

I’m a bit confused about why #4 is such a big deal? I’ve seen plenty of designers use the same model at different events, be it a model they have sold at their store already or what have you.
And by calling the designer out by name, it just seems, at least to me, that this is just either a disgruntled ex-family member/member of the designer’s circle that wants to paint the designer in a bad light for personal reasons and not for logistically sound reasons.

Phedora was crying to some event owners about Empire and talking shit. I’m sure she also cried and bullshitted her way into C88.
Phedora is the bitch that used to own Boobilicious. When she began meshing something changed and she turned into a whiney douchebag. She has opened several brands since Illusions and Mundos and now Phedora. She always talks shit about the up and coming but finds it hard herself to maintain and build up her own brand. I am not entirely sure how she bullshitted her way into C88 but I know she won’t be there long. What I find funny about her shit talking Empire is that when Empire hit the market Phedora began copying Empire’s ad style a good bit. So she really should look in the mirror before running her mouth.

# 2 I don’t care for Annas personality, but attacking her for not making her own mesh is a little silly. Half of SL’s creators who use the term “original mesh” have people who make it for them. Not really new or exciting news.
There’s nothing wrong with hiring someone else to make mesh for you. Ffs half of the big names in SL do it now because they can. She can call it original mesh because it is. It’s commissioned. Nothing wrong with that.

#2 I think Reign has her boyfriend do her meshes, I don’t see how this would be any different. If not Reign then there is still a lot of other stores who have more than one person behind their creations. Either way, I am obsessed with Empire’s shoes. Keep up the work hun.
Kenadee makes her own mesh. Liam meshes for FLite. I believe he used to help her when Reign first took off but she makes it herself now.

How about we put this aside (and the fact Anna wrote the above comment; spelling) and talk about the literal designer copies? There was a time in Second life when footwear was unique, if ugly (by mesh standards anyway). There are creators who still go by this, but most, Anna being a prime example as every Empire product is an identical copy of a real life designer shoe already created for her (or her team) to copy. Maybe she just pulls them off pinterest.

It’s been a while since I kept up on the inner workings of the SL fashion machine, so, admittedly, I may be missing something re: post No. 2. So, please indulge me and explain why, exactly, is it wrong, unethical, whatever, etc. for an SL business to hire someone with 3D modeling skills to build mesh products for them?
This seems like a smart business owner recognizing they need to offer mesh items in their product line, and going out and finding someone with the ability to provide those items to them. If the person supplying the mesh is ok with the arrangement, and I assume they are since they’re turning the geometry over to the store owner, then why raise a stink over it?
This kind of thing happens in RL all the time. Economies are built on this kind of transaction.
As long as they’re not trying to pass it off as their own or entering original mesh events, I totally agree. Having someone else do mesh for you if you’re not good at it isn’t a crime. I’d rather a designer source it out to someone who knows what they’re doing than give me crappy mesh that doesn’t move right.
I don’t think hiring a mesh maker to do exclusive designs for your shop should exclude you from ‘original mesh’ events, though. The mesh is still exclusive to the brand – it’s not like it’s template goods.

I just double checked Truth’s likes for this hair, and A LOT (85%-90%) of the likes come from accounts that have Indian, Punjabi, Arabic, Persian, Egyptian, Kurdish, and other foreign names. You can copy and paste their names in Google Translate to see for yourself. Also various other users from third world countries. I’ve checked almost all of these suspicious accounts and I have yet to find a suspicious account that has a post or like or friend that’s related to Second Life. Makes sense that these fake likes would come from the third world, because there are apps that let these people get paid to like something on Facebook. And you know, 3rd world folks are poor and all. Truth Hair is definitely buying Facebook likes from an app or a “buy likes” service he found on Google, but why would they do that when they’re already #1? Funny.
