I don’t condone of stealing other peoples artwork, which clearly the Kowai bow looks very very similar. However, I’m also not too concerned with something as trivial as this. They’ve made enough alterations in my opinion, even if it is super highly inspired. Now the Kawaii one.. Literally a font and a heart shape, oh and colors. If we’re going to be so nit picky let’s take a hard look at a lot of other designers/event logos and fonts.
Really what I’m concerned about is the items being sold in the events rather than an event name. Are the creators stealing art or ripping meshes and selling them? That’s what truly bothers me. I mean jeeze if you see Kawaii Pon-Pon and think “Gee Whiz they’re ripping off Kawaii Box”(a huge stretch) then don’t look up LuxeboxSL for heaven sake.
You sound like a salty designer. Just sayin. So name names what meshes are ripped in what events? This constant vagueness just makes you look silly if you don’t give specifics.
I’m not a designer at all, or salty about anything. And I didn’t accuse any designer of doing anything in particular, if you re-read what I said you will see that.
I said I am not so concerned with what something is named so long as people/designers/creators aren’t trying to use other people’s artwork or meshes/items and sell them as their own.
That was the point of my statement, not to call anyone out. I just thought #10 for the most part was a huge stretch at least for the second half. How possibly could they be trying to rip off kawaii box, like at all? I don’t know, maybe I think people are less malicious they they actually are. Oh well.

I think the point is the fact that they straight up took the Kawaii Box logo to make their own event logo, not that they were trying to BE kawaii Box with their event.

@#2 I couldn’t agree more, objectifing kids on SL should be a crime. Why do grown adults want to portray a child dressed in sexual attire? I will never be desensitized to any of that. It is plain wrong and I’m sorry to say it but it is a magnet for pedophiles. People making this shit are perpetuating it, that’s a fact.
Totally agree with you Nomatter and the sentiment behind secret #2 but here’s what I predict will happen because it always does:
1. Some aggrieved child avi/s will say that you, me and/or the poster of secret #2 are bullying (choose verb of preference) the kid community on SL by even *discussing* this;
2. You and I will be targeted, attacked and vilified because such people usually resort to ad hominem arguments sooner or later;
3. Nothing ever changes and the pedo’s will keep preying on children and there’ll be those who cater to their monsterous needs by producing sexualised clothing for children in SL.
Let’s just be honest, LL like to ‘talk the talk’…but that’s about the extent of it sadly because it’s always so much easier to look away.

a-Kid , your comments is what we really don’t care, that outfit was done for fun and for joke about a holiday , if you are not enough smart for it and think than smb is just crap, then you better stop to look at this, and flag yourself , here is many people doing very great stuff for smb, and clothes than much others will want have for their mesh avatars, this kind of mesh had the issue than the provider no released new stuff and was very hard for designers create cool stuff with so limited possibilities, but luckily now are much more mesh creators supporting SMB and things are changing, before talk , you should try to inform yourself before.
@4. If we’re going to be petty picking out who does what from pictures we might as well have to pick apart 95% of the creators in the grid. Most people do it, to single out 1 or 2 people is just silly. Don’t like the item? don’t buy it. Don’t wanna support this kind of thing? Don’t. Instead of taking the time out to do a secret like this, maybe learn mesh yourself and shit out the creativeness you crave.
I agree. I’m a creator and I’ll look for inspiration and I’ll come across pieces that other big creators remade such as nacho hairstyle spellbound. Found that. Zenith made a cute poncho found that on wish copied to the T. I recently just had someone copy an original design of my own in sl and all I got from them was “if I mesh it, it’s mine and I can do what I want with it no matter where it came from.” And she admitted she took it from my exact ad and named it the same. I just had to shrug my shoulders and move forward. There are many super cute things that are in rl that costs 40-50 bucks for just a top and sl is supposed to be our “second life” I’ll pay the 1-2 dollars just to get something I liked in rl that is 40-50. Besides rigging certain things in sl can be brutal too. So these designers who make this I thank them. Only second issue is when the designers start making all the same things. I think designers should add their own personal twist to it.
Thats what i was alluding to in my previous comment, If you are really sad enough to sit around using google’s reverse image search to find reference photos designers use I feel sorry for your life. And i agree with everything Wat says as far as if you think this is so horrible then dont suppor the store, but keep in mind MOST creators use references so likely your oh so favorite store also uses them so this image shaming doesnt hold any weight to someone who knows how to mesh. So get a hobby and leave creators alone.

Her mom is the owner of prim river. She tried opening an estate attached to PM and it failed pretty quick because her true colors showed pretty soon after it opened.
The estate was Danielle’s from what I was told. She just manages the PR sims.
