That’s Convergence, the sim that I run. I hope you do stop by, as we always enjoy meeting new people.
There’s some truth to this secret, some falsehood. Yes, we’re pretty crap about prims at the moment. But, we have one sim and a lot of stuff on it. We’re working to replace some of the more prim-heavy builds.
My partner does run one of the factions, however, there’s twelve of those, and his certainly isn’t the largest or most popular, so if that offends you, there are other factions to join. I was indeed temporarily running one of the other factions simply to get it running again, and a new leader will be taking over in the next few days.
As for our commitment to player stories and player involvement, that’s still there. I do try my hardest to let the player characters drive the direction and story of the sim. A great many of our magics and plots are built off of (and credited to on our webpage) player suggestions. Can we implement or approve every player suggestion? We can not. A balance must be maintained between individual character progression and the sim as a whole. Basically, I’m not going to approve nukes, powers that become one-hit-kills, or items which force other characters to fundamentally change in a permanent way, so on and so forth.
But, in the end, no RP sim is perfect. I hope you find the RP sim for you, secret-poster, where you feel accepted, happy, and fulfilled by the story you create. There’s lots of great under-appreciated RP sims out there that I, myself, wish I had the time to explore. Good luck and happy RPing! ^_^
#13 Is quite spiteful. I don’t feel that sort of thing necessary. Why try to ruin something many people love because ‘you’ one bad experience. That is very shameful. I myself can atest to those accusations. Ever since I came to convergence the entire stalf has made me feel welcomed and even the sim owner came to randomly rp with me. He randomly involves himself with new players trying to provide them with a pleasant experience. They are good people. I have no been to such a welcoming sim in many years.
