#1 used to be sl related to me. When the family blew up cuz he tried to control everyone in it and when someone couldn’t be controlled he would try and find reasons to make people pissed at them and told them don’t talk to them. And if we said no he would start to get people against you as well and call you names.

I have no idea about who this dick is but the fact remains that lots of men (and women) are married IRL and fooling around on SL.
The ‘fairytale’ of meeting someone and having a deep and meaningful relationship then living happily-ever-after on SL with *anyone* is just that; fiction. The nature of SL revolves around short-term gratification – be it gacha machines, buying the latest outfit at the latest event or even relationships. How many times have you scored a rare in a gacha only to be bored with it having moved on to the next big thing a few weeks later? The reality is that relationships seem to be just as transient in SL, with many partnerships coming and going in a matter of days and/or weeks.
Don’t misunderstand me; I’m not lecturing anyone or telling anybody how to live their SL. I’m just sharing the reality of the situation as I see it. Kudos to anyone who’s met ‘the one’ and who can make it work despite timezones, communication issues and every other hurdle that SL presents. Relationships IRL are hard enough; in SL they are even harder imho.
Add to that the fact that there are plenty of predators in SL whose game is all about their own sexual gratification at any cost, even if that means hurting others. For predators, people are disposable. Realizing this makes a world of difference in keeping yourself emotionally safe.

Being understood is what actually counts. Understanding context and comprehending is what matters. Perhaps because it’s not my strong point I don’t notice most grammatical errors, I’m more interested in what is being communicated. Small minded petty people who have time to scrutinize grammar are not worth worry about.
Teach him ‘our’ opinions don’t matter. Teach him to love himself. Teach him to trust in those that truly matter, and not in the mean Internet people.
Stop being terrified, and be proactive. Raise him to be good, kind and loving, but also to know he matters no matter what the big bad world says. Do you seriously believe grammatical short-comings is the only thing kids/people get picked on for?
Try being really short or really tall. Try being really thin or overweight. Try wearing glasses, braces or having an obvious physical disability. Trying being gay in a family or society that doesn’t accept you.
There’s any number of reasons that people will treat other people like shit (and kids are ridiculously mean). Poor grammar is probably the least of the concerns, but you go on being terrified and dramatic about a few people on a message board correcting some grammar.
