Before we delve into secrets…
• If you hook up with a crazy in SL, it is not our responsibility to help you deal with that. If it becomes a RL issue contact law enforcement.
• Trust no one. If you tell people your laundry they will air it for you.
• Secret submissions are anonymous. We don’t know if your crazy ex or your abuela submitted them.
• Make your secrets legible.
• Do not contact us just to threaten us, especially with e-lawyers. We’ve been doing this for 12+ years. You are not the first nor will you be the last.
• Lastly, if the material submitted here triggers you, please get help. If the materials submitted here make you suicidal please see the suicide hotline numbers posted. They are there to help.

First of all, if it was a mistake to post such a thing, then it was corrected. Honestly, get over yourself, because the mistake was corrected. You blame someone for making the secret when they stood up and removed it, even against their own policy. At first, when I saw the hotline, I thought maybe they were just taking a step forward and having it for people who needed it, but then I read the BS against them. It is a shame to see someone from such a trending website be a complete bitchy tyrant on such a shithole site. I am not sure if it pleases you to make an ass out of yourself and not understand that you are setting a terrible outlook of who Eloquence bloggers are. I see you backlash on this site more and it is a shame to see an upcoming site and a steady-becoming popular site to allow someone like you to be apart of it.
I post my comments under my own name because I own my opinions and I don’t make attacks on people behind anonymity. I’m willing to take whatever personal judgments you have against me based on my opinions, that’s why I’m adult enough to put my name on them. But if you think my outrage at someone urging someone else to kill themselves reflects poorly on the website I work for, that’s sad for you, and it’s small of you to bring that into this, when there is no relevance. I am Khaya, I am not Eloquence. I hope you can see the difference. You’re entitled to your opinion that Kesseret made the right choices here, and I’m not going to sling dirt at you as person, let alone your job (if you bothered to put your name on your statements), because your view differs. I’m sorry you feel the need to attack me personally but it’s bad form to attack my work. I also host at a music venue, but I don’t see you pretending my personal thoughts represent them, so it’s pretty obvious who you are, but hey… this isn’t about that. Yeah except it’s not actually their policy is it. I’ve seen secrets removed by request. It’s a popularity contest even when the content is stolen IP they won’t remove it unless you are on the favorable list.
But enoughing suicide secrets should not ever be published. The policy should include ” we will not post secrets containing suicide or treats to harm “.
Or a policy will be nor publish comments that troll *rolls eyes* at Whatever.
But week in week out you need the little fixin here so that would make this site unusable.
Kesseret’s actions were fair play so give them a break. You may now resume your trolling trollin who knows perhaps more will get posted, and we can all comment with glee!

Fair commentary, except that this is the first removed by my choice since this website (virtual-secrets.com) has been created (that I can remember -um I do have a terrible memory). With the exception of people who came to me BEFORE sunday and said “I made this secret, I was angry, I’d like it removed before publication” and they give me the filename. All of those were removed like the secret creator requested.
Comments are a privilege not a right, so we moderate them (almost 96 percent go through anyway).
Lastly, AGAIN. The original secret #1 did NOT threaten anyone OUTRIGHT. It wasn’t until it was explained to me that I pieced it together. Once that happened, I removed it. Keep in mind the person came to me without yelling or throwing a fit. They stated their story. I decided it was a good thing to remove it because with knowing the background it’s a good idea to remove it.
I do not know the person who the secret was about. I did not know the other people who contacted me saying it was about them (which it probably wasn’t, but everyone thinks a secret is about them). So to say it was a popularity contest is false. But, as always, whatever, I appreciate your comments, even if they are against me. And that’s not being facetious. Take care.

Well at least she finally removed the secret, probably because all the upvotes and downvotes showed where most people stand on this issue. I’d like to think it was an act of conscience but I suspect it was more motivated by site hits. Call me cynical, but I think on this site there’s good reason to be cynical. Whatever the reason behind the choice to remove the secret, I hope this has taught a lesson that won’t have to be repeated. I won’t hold my breath, but I really hope…
I removed the secret because someone came to me (like I asked in the comments above) and we spoke. What was said gave me enough evidence that they were the intended. Before you start putting words into my mouth and before you start thinking that the upvotes/downvotes MATTER about anything (they are there as active engagements to the site, not anything more).
Also, I recieved MORE site hits this week than last week. So hits don’t drive me either. Someone came to me, and wasn’t throwing a fit, and we had a discussion. I resolved the matter.
Please, feel free to STOP giving me hits. I don’t care. In fact, I’d rather not have someone so fucking high and mighty showing up here and acting like an asshole.

Lourdes didn’t say anything of the sort, she offered a helpline because people were saying it was about someone who was suicidal. Lourdes can’t win with you people, I swear to Jesus.

I don’t, but someone who does told me the person isn’t in danger because of this, they’re more angry than anything. That’s a relief. If someone died because of this, the secret-maker and Lourdes could be charged, at least Lourdes because she’s in the U.S.
Also, #2… been thinking about this a lot lately and the community has lost a LOT of people recently. Someone said it’s the summer of cancer. :'(
Why would Lourdes be charged? Why do you have to be such a bitch? First of all if someone is so fragile that they are on the edge of suicide they should get HELP. Not hang out online and in a game. That’s ridiculous.
Maybe who should be charged is the person who uploaded the secret? Maybe you can check the friendslist of the person and point your fingers at them. They made the secret. So check out your so-called friends.

Let me get this straight. You posted a secret telling someone to kill themselves, but think adding this hotline makes up for that?
Just giving a resource in case someone needed help. Nothing more nothing less. I have nothing to make up for.
You are seriously a disgusting person. I’m officially done supporting this garbage website by giving you a few views every week. But it needs to be more than just me. Stepping up and deciding that we can no longer be a part of this is the only thing that we as a community can do to get rid of you/this.
Posting a resource is not the same as telling someone to kill themselves. Also I have no idea what number 1 is about because 3 different people say its about 3 different people. 1 suicidal. The others upset someone wrote about their cat . If anyone is depressed or having issue I suggest they get some therapy. But Lourdes and I can’t be expected to know what every secret is about , especially when multiple people claim its about them. Chances are its NOT about you and if it is check your friendlist. It wasn’t me or Lourdes who made the secret.
Prove to me its about you. Really prove and I’ll remove it. Its a serious dickmove to make fun of someone who is sick and needs help. That’s a special kind of ass. Also anyone suicidal please utilize the number posted
No one should have to ‘prove’ it’s about them. You should be a decent human being and NEVER EVER post any kind secret suggesting for someone to kill themselves. How disgusting and negligent do you have to be? It doesn’t matter who it was about! Do the right thing and stop allowing this kind of crap to happen. You give people a platform to be malicious, cruel and to bully one another and that is horrible enough. But when you cross certain lines of allowing people to encourage someone to take their lives or you release things with peoples rl information and allow rl attacks, you are going way too far! I wish this site would be taken down. I wish that you open your eyes and realize the damage you do each week.
Speaking as a mother who has spent the last 5 years trying desperately to keep her suicidal son alive I want to add that it is not something to play with. I currently have him living with me because at the end of April he tried to commit himself into several hospitals but no one would take him since he didn’t have insurance. He spent days sitting in waiting room while they told him they might have a bed open up while he watched people with insurance get admitted. Never once did anyone check the cuts (deep) that ran from his wrists to his elbow. This was his third attempt in 3 months. He can’t get meds either as he has no insurance. He owes several hospitals from the ambulance and ER trips for each attempt. He has a huge IQ and was gifted all through school. When he does have a job he wins employee of the month. He self medicates for his ADHD when needed because, again, he can’t get meds. (Thank god for Monsters and Mountain Dew) So he struggles constantly. Most people wouldn’t know it. He has a ton of friends who adore him and a great personality. So if you see someone is suicidal you may not know all the struggles behind they scene…please be kind and show them some love.

When you first came around. People said oh avoid her she’s fucking bat shit crazy. I said well maybe she is, but I like her. Even though we don’t see eye to eye on things from a moral standpoint on somethings, I’ve always thought you were cool. So you can call me a cunt, a psychopath or whatever.
