Really? Not going to add my comments? It’s the same email I’ve always used, and I’ve only used one name this week, because the one I usually use was already used by someone else. The comments I made weren’t even bad. Calling you a brown noser, saying all these likes and dislikes are speaking for themselves. It’s pretty tame stuff for this website. Are you really that butthurt? You run a website dedicated to bringing others down, and are someone surprised no one likes you? Odd.

Ok I see you are a bit slow, let me explain: Real vs Fake. Yes we are our avatars but there real people and personalities behind the avatars. Some people are genuine (careful I used a big word there) and others play a game. They are usually referred to as the ladder climbers and ass kissers for gain.
So in the end the only thing comical is that you are too dumb to know what it is to be genuine (real) vs fake. But I think you have the cunt thing down pat.

# 3 is everything! I wish designers would see the light already and stop signing up to every shit event that comes along.
This. It’s cool to get buyers to come along but it’s really sad to see how rushed these creators are to be apart of an event that may or may not generate money. Sad state of second life.
I speak to a few other creators, and general sentiment now is Events have taken over and strangled Second Life. If you aren’t in them, you make a lot less money. If you are in them, you are on a treadmill to keep in enough events to generate incomes. I think a lot of us wish Events would go away, but unless somebody comes up with an alternative that is better for people buying and better for all concerned I can’t see the trend stopping. Which means more of the same old tired content from washed out creators. Everybody and his dog now realizes you can make easy money from hosting a large event so lazy uninspired people will keep this trend alive.
This is true I build a new house once a month, sell it at The Arcade, make a killing, do nothing else all month long and laugh all the way to the bank. Good times

Talking of the Arcade, can they start banning creators who put more than 12 items in their machine it’s a frickin nightmare to get a rare there should be a limit.
ALSO anybody notice how Cory Edo’s release this month at C88 was a re-topo’d / added on model from Turboquid? The UVs were redone and they changed the windows/door and added the deck, but you can see they used the base model as a starting point and the meshes line up perfectly on wireframe. Not classy.

I really tried, but even after squinting at the screen for about 10 mins I still don’t see it…maybe go ahead and put some nice reddish circles on the areas you are talking about like all the cool SL police ppl do it 🙂

They are saying that Cory Edo took a mesh off Turbosquid and used it as the basis for the house. Not sure why you’re having trouble understanding that.
Even so, I can’t see that this is anywhere near as egregious as flipping round a hair and calling it a new product. At least they edited the mesh and textured it themselves. Frankly with the number of events around nowadays I’m surprised they had time to do that much. Expecting 100% original content on a weekly basis is kind of harsh.
That is so wrong, those 2 meshes are not even the same. Even the chamfers are different and if you were to take a base mesh and clean up the chamfers, it’s 20x more work than just making it from scratch. It’s kind of shitty to accuse someone of that when you have very little knowledge of 3d modeling 🙁
Um yes of course I know that’s what they’re saying, I simply wanted THEM to own it. If you’re going to accuse someone of cheating at least have the guts to do it out straight up. Cory Edo have some of the best house in SL IMO and have no reason to cheat. Jealous insecure competitors love to come up with this kind of shit.

I agree. SL is overrun with events now. Creators are pressured to keep up, so much so that quality is tainted by a lot of participants spewing out total rubbish or regurgitating the same old styles and exact colours and think that adding an extra bow, strap or tie will somehow wow us into purchase. That said, there are those who will do just that because of loyalty to a creator.
#9 Sounds like someone has a real stick up their bum about another talented creator getting better. Kattington may have rebranded a few times, but who cares? If she wants to change things up to better suit her store …why does that bother you? Her products are consistently improving, and she’s got one of the kindest and most helpful attitudes. If people were less hateful and nasty to each other sl would be such a better place…. Blah. Keep doing your thing Kat, you can’t get to the top without a few wannabe posh haters on your ass. it’s bad enough to just flip the hair and sell it as a totally separate item…but…flipping the photo in photoshop to make the other vendor ad?? It would take such audacity to do that and use the same exact photo that it can’t possibly be real, right?
Actually, I love milkchan. I don’t know her in person BUT every time I have dealt with her she has been awesome, friendly and kind… and actually generous too. She may have had to rebrand for the reasons stated.. but who cares, if that’s the case she saw the mistake and corrected it. There is NOTHING new under the sun and mistakes are made. Ya’ll need to get off of your high horses and give people a break.

#11 why was this even sent in? is this supposed to be shocking? as sl was created to be the place for imagination and to be what you always wanted to be, and in other cases designers using the gender that they create for this is not surprising at all to not be for an example a man playing a woman or vice versa. There are big jackasses in second life that gender bend and NOONE GIVES A CRAP because no one focuses on that issue, they focus on the words coming out of the mouths not what “avatar gender” the person happens to be wearing when they talk. It also makes sense if a man is designing for women to be a woman avatar so they can test their products out a lot faster. The Luck, inc. person did it, and im sure a crap ton more do it. Its not a big deal. If they are doing something repulsive to you why not focus on that instead of something that doesn’t matter?

You clearly don’t know the struggle of wearing a hooded jacket, hood, or hat and having that ONE piece that barely sticks out.

But why not sell it with the other item and charge accordingly?
They have changed. I remember when they sold that JMJ hair at TMD. It had two different versions and both were included in the same pack, and they also had hair bases for them as well. I am not sure if they got lazy or just simply feel like making more linden.
It’s incredibly unethical as a seller to have that hair on sale at tmd. The producer of this should be ashamed. Am I Shocked though? Naw, I’ve seen worse happen on the grid but, rather disappointed that some creators are greedy enough to present this as a finished product. The problem is that sales of this item is probably enough to justify them to keep doing this in the future.
